Complacency Vs Conspiracy The Truth Shall Prevail In The 2016 Election

I was awakened this morning with a headline in my head. COMPLACENCY!

No matter where we live, complacency is dangerous. Doing nothing when the train is headed straight for us leads to disaster. Stay with me while I light a fire under our collected asses. Now is the time we all need to get out of our easy chair and recognize we can make a difference. We can make changes for the common good. 

What is complacency? From Meriam-Webster

:  self-satisfaction especially when accompanied by unawareness of actual dangers or deficiencies:  an instance of usually unaware or uninformed self-satisfaction

Complacency is dangerous.

Whether you live in the United States or elsewhere, the President-elect, Donald Trump, and his Vice President are dangerous to our safety and well-being. Stay with me. I am not an alarmist. I am a realist. Donald Trump is already putting coal mining and other ecologically dangerous fuel mining issues on the fast track. President-elect Trump called "climate change," a hoax. 

Trump plans to push  fossil fuels rather than cleaner energy sources like solar. Just because it's easily obtained, doesn't mean it's good. Trump is calling for fewer restrictions and onshore fracking in North Dakota to continue. His plan it to make the United States completely independent of the Middle East.

Energy isn't our only concern. Vice President-Elect Mike Pence has a history of opposing gay rights and gay marriage. As the Indiana Governor, Pence has fought gay marriage and won. In 2013, Pence signed the legislation as governor that makes it illegal to apply for a marriage license.  In Indiana, gay couples face eighteen months in prison and a $10,000 fine for applying to get married. On a marriage license, in Indiana, there is a space for one man and one woman. Pence has gone so far as to say that "gays need to get fixed." 

"In the state of Indiana, marriage is recognized as between a man and a woman, and I think that's how it should remain," Pence said in 2014 in an interview with MSNBC's Chuck Todd.

Pence also opposed legislation that made it legal to discriminate against people based on sexual orientation. Those with religious objections can refuse service to gays in Indiana. The Trump-Pence team could pose significant issues for gay rights.

The way the law is written in Indiana has caused quite an uproar.

What The LBGT Community Can Expect In The Coming Days

Obama brought change for gays, gay rights, and gay marriage. Bullying has also seen significant change. With a new political leader who is a known bully in office, we all need to be watchful, write our congressmen and political leaders and stay informed. In 2012, 57.5% of the population voted. In our most recent election 

strangely 8 million Latinos voted for Trump. 

We have come so far to backslide on so many powerful issues. Solar is a renewable energy source. If more of us invested in solar power, we can make a difference. There are pros and cons to different energy sources. Each of us need to make informed decisions and do our part to change the fuel sources we utilize.

At this writing, the current population of the United States is 324,998,918. Each of us can make a difference. 

The Power of The Collective

The truth is that each of us is a powerful creator. When we pray for the good of all our prayer is more powerful. What if each of us prayed each day anytime we think about our beautiful earth, or our gay friends and family members or our physical health for the good of all; a win-win for humanity. A miracle can happen. 

The inauguration is on January 20th, 2017. We have about sixty days to create a miracle. If everyone prays for the same thing, we can create something different. What if there was a document that would undo the election results? What if a there was an illegal dealing that created the current outcome? What if someone paid for votes? What if hackers rigged the election? What if machines were rigged that switched the votes to Trump? Trump mentioned using hackers from Russia during the election to rig it. 

What if the Russian bank hacking ring was just a rehearsal for the real deal, the election? Trump has already aligned with Putin. What would Russia have to gain from rigging the election? 

Intelligence agencies suspected that Russia interfered with the German election. Russia is backing Trump.

There were several reports that it took three attempts to get a machine in Bryan County, Georgia to correctly vote for Hilary Clinton, Democrat. How many voters voted and weren't aware that their vote wasn't cast correctly?

Flipping Presidential Votes

If someone will pay for actors to cheer for them, what else might they do to be elected? All of these are possibilities. What if that information came out before January 20th that could change the outcome? How would that be for this planet? How would that be for you?

How To Be Okay WIth Our New Government

America is slowly waking up. Yesterday's Presidential election is all about change for the United States. America has been asleep for a very long time. People are experiencing strong emotions of fear, sadness, and loss. Many are afraid of what we can't see. We don't know what the future holds.

Hispanic children are terrified that they will be deported. People are simply afraid of our future. 

We need to be okay with what is happening, rather than being upset or feeling regret. A shake-up is exactly what we need. Everyone is responsible for where we are today. 93 million people stayed at home and did not vote, 40% of our population. 

Together we have immense power. As a people, the 321.42+ million that live in the United States have tremendous influence and power. However, saying nothing, and doing nothing do not exercise our power. Not bothering to vote and then complaining about the outcome is like wondering why the horses have run away when we left the barn door open.

Joining together for a change is what needs to happen. We can't change the fact that the electoral vote caused Trump to be our unwitting and unprepared president. We can change the electoral vote from being the component in our next election that casts doubt on our rights and ability to elect the president we choose.

Complaining about where we are does nothing constructive. Join together and do something. Write letters to your congressman. Create communities where we fight together for justice, equality no matter what color our skin is or what country we were born in. 

America has gotten fat, complacent and lazy. Our government hasn't been for the people; it has been pro government and pro big business. President Obama signing in support of Monsanto is just one example. Did you know that Obama signed a protection act written in part by the billion dollar corporation it protects, Monsanto that deemed them unsueable? 78 pages into the bill that Obama signed is language that speaks of the biotech corporations it protects. 

How does this protection act protect us the people? Clearly, President Obama was not acting in our best interest, but rather big businesses interest.

Trump is a businessman who says he will bring jobs back to our country that made our citizens redundant. 

Many people of color are very concerned. We are all concerned. What have we done? We have sat on our hands for far too long waiting for someone else to do the dirty work. We can't expect others to do something if we do nothing. We need to stand for our rights for humane and just treatment, for the respect of women and the rights of our children. 

Will we stand for racism? Will we stand for pussy snatching and ass grabbers as our political leaders who disrespect women and rape their wives? Who are we as a people? Are we complacent? Or will we stand up for what we firmly believe? Will you close your eyes and allow the mistreatment of citizens, women, Hispanics and blacks? 

Trump says he will rid our country of senseless waste. As a business person, he may cut the excess of congressmen and senators who have had better health care and wages than the public they say they serve. 

Obama Care will be eradicated because it was wasteful. Obama Care left huge loopholes for big businesses like Wal-Mart to cut employees hours to avoid paying for health care of their faithful employees. Obama Care has not helped our country but hurt it. 

How Did Trump Win?

It did not matter that Hilary had more votes than Trump. The Electoral College is what deemed the Trump win. 

Hillary Clinton popular vote: 59,602,634

Donald Trump popular vote:  59,396,462

Hilary won by popular vote:       206,172

Trump needed 270 Electoral Votes to win. Trump received 279.

The count is still being updated.

Most people have no idea that it is not the number of popular votes that wins the presidency. Electoral votes are what matter. The Electoral College was set up so that larger states do not overshadow smaller states or those with more rural areas. It is rare that a president is elected only by Electoral votes. The last time a President was elected only by Electoral College votes was in 2000 when George W. Bush became president. He did not win by popular vote nationwide. The United States deficit went into the Trillions of dollars during George W. Bush's term. 

How Does The Electoral College Work?

Each state receives a vote for each of its two senators and one vote for its congressional districts. Tennessee, for example, has nine districts and two senators and has 11 electoral votes.

The question is should we the people continue to allow the Electoral College to speak for the people? 

For those of us who were once considered minorities who's votes didn't matter or count (women, Hispanics, blacks, Muslims) now they do. You matter. 53 million Hispanics cannot  be deported. It isn't financially feasible. 

Fighting or crying over the outcome is a waste of energy and causes suffering. Be okay with what is. We can find good in everyone. Everyone has positive attributes. What positive attributes can you find in Trump? You hold the key to your personal empowerment. 

When is it time for a change? I assert the time is now.
