Are All The Good Men Taken?

It’s written on women’s faces. We read it on the Internet. "Where are all the good men? How come
she found someone, and I can’t?

What you believe is what you receive.
The truth is that as frequently as we say, there are no good men, we receive what we expect: no good men. Instead of thinking there are no good men, start repeating and believing: "My best match is on his way to me right now."
Are you sitting at home in front of the television set every night instead of getting your beautiful self out to meet people? Expand your horizons and try new things. Join a cooking class, take a Salsa class or change your circle of relationships to experience new people. Instead of ditching your friend's holiday parties~ go. You will have more options available and could be pleasantly surprised at who you will meet.
Maybe you need to look at what your definition of what a “good man” is. Are you expecting perfection?
Like the site, Plenty of Fish suggests, there are plenty of single, dateable, and marriageable men. I want to let you in on a secret though I am not sure you are ready for the truth. These men have flaws and faults. None of them are perfect. They may even be damaged, heartbroken or a little gun-shy. If we set the bar too high, what we will find is that no one can meet our stiff requirements for the perfect partner. Even those looking for a soul mate will find that they too aren’t perfect but works in progress. Men might get angry, upset or feel they need a shoulder to cry on now and then.
Many men have fragile hearts. It has been scientifically proven that men have more challenges healing from their past relationship, getting back in the saddle to become committed. We have to give men time to get to know who we are. We need to give them time to heal. Marriages are at an all time low. Which is great news for single women. With so many people taking their time to date before committing or tying the knot again, the dating pool is filled with eligible men who are looking for someone to connect with, and eventually commit.
Many men are happiest when in a committed, loving relationship. Science provides us proof that married men live longer than their single counterparts.

So What’s the Problem?

It’s us. Women need to be more understanding of their dating partners. Men aren’t perfect any more than women are, even if we think we're perfect! They have traits we don’t like, just as women have traits our men don’t appreciate.

What Can We Do to Turn This Paradigm and Belief Around to Find the Best Man for the Job?

1. Be Compassionate

Look at your dating prospects with compassion. Men aren’t robots and have feelings too. Put yourself in his shoes. How would you feel if you had his experiences?

2. Be Accepting, Rather Than Sitting in Judgment.

Remember no one is perfect. If he has all the critical traits that you desire and just a few issues, that are less important to you, give him a chance, rather than throwing in the towel too soon. Often we throw away opportunities based on our reaction to something from our insecurities.

3. Sex Is Part of a Healthy Loving Relationship

Sex is what men look for in a relationship. Otherwise, they could just spend time with the guys. Just because he wants to rub his body up against yours doesn’t make him a pervert. Remember men have different wiring and needs than most women. Try not to judge him if he wants to have sex with you.
The flip side is why wouldn’t he desire you?
You can always set the ground rules to be comfortable with the speed and timing of sexual intimacy.

4. You Have to Break a Few Eggs to Make an Omelette

The first guy you meet may not be the right one for you. Maybe you have to date five, six or more men to find someone who has similar interests, makes you laugh or that you feel a deep connectionDon’t give up.

5. Are Your Expectations Realistic?

If you are looking for a particular trait in a man, do you have that trait?
Like attracts like. If you are in debt up to your eyebrows and are looking for a multi-millionaire, it is unlikely you will find him. Are you looking for someone who is totally free of issues, when you are still sleeping with your teddy bear or ex’s photo?

6. Step Outside of Your Comfort Zone

How open are you to trying new things, going out of your comfort zone or meeting new people?
Often we keep looking for the same type of person, which we know isn’t supportive of us when the nice guy is what we need.
It is my experience that many women myself included, judge men too quickly. Sometimes we examine their exterior saying they are not the Adonis or brainiac we desired. We need to give them the opportunity to shine. Many people are a little nervous on a first or even second date. It can take some time to become comfortable enough to let down our guard and become open.
Give him a chance if he is polite, genuine and interested in you. Take a look inside you and examine what resistance you have before you take a pass on your next date.
Ask yourself the following questions:
Is your resistance and fear of being hurt surfacing?
Does he have traits and values that match yours?
Does he treat you with respect, reverence and interest?
If we are looking for instant attraction and ditch the guy because it isn't present at first, we might be missing out on something wonderful. Attraction can grow as we begin to love the person that they are inside. Give him a chance to show you how amazing he is, you just might find that Mr. Wonderful is standing right in front of you!

Finding Love After Abuse and Rage

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Sometimes we don't recognize what we have till it is gone. Sometimes, there is such pain and hurt in a relationship that hatred, anger and resentment blocks us from seeing the love that is present underneath it all. When we sever a relationship through divorce or a break-up, it can be years before we let go of the hurt, anger and resentment. When we do, we might feel very differently about that person. This is one of those stories. The truth, from my heart. You know I am very open about the lessons I have learned. I hope that my sharing will help you so that you can learn through my experience. Recognizing the love that is present now, can save you years of pain, suffering and sorrow.

In 1995, I married Rich Resuta. There were warning signs, big ones that I ignored. He had huge anger issues. I was sure that I could change him, fix him and help him heal whatever it was that caused his rage. He reminded me of my father. Was it his anger, or the control? I am not sure. It was not long before I feared him.

Our wedding was romantic. My two sons took part in the wedding. It was important to me, that we were a family. Rich married my kids too. Adam was 15, David was 12 when Ariel was born. She was the apple of her Daddy's eye. He had never been married before and Ariel was his first and only child. Rich was 35 when I met him. My father had just passed away a month before. I was 41.

Even before we were married, Rich's true colors became evident. He had intense anger, rage and jealousy. At first, the jealousy fed my ego. Later on, it became possessive, and exclusive of all others, including family. It was us against the world. The "us" against the world does not work. We need our families, both sides to accept our mates. We had neither. In fact, Rich had me so alienated from
2003, Alpharetta, Georgia
my mother that I uninvited her from our wedding. What I did not realize while it was happening that my independence was being eradicated. When I met Rich, I was a single mother and homeowner.  I had a career, making a good living (more than Rich made, which was an issue for him), with insurance and benefits.

Rich was compelling and persuasive. He was a fitness freak. He ran daily and lifted weights. His degree was in physical education. He was a strong role model in many ways for my sons. It was because of him, that they became involved in fitness and running.

Rich talked me into being a stay-at-home mom. After an event at a mall while we were shopping, I made the decision to quit my job. My sons needed me to be home, as did our new baby girl. Rich felt that if I was to be a mother, I needed to care for her, rather than work outside the home. He actually would not let me work. How could an independent woman become so totally dependent and weak-willed? Fear. Rich would get angry and threaten to punch me in my face. He often punched walls, or a door jams inches from my face.

Rich implemented new rules for my boys. My oldest became quite resentful. Rich was not his father. I tended to be a lessez faire type of parent. With few boundaries. Rich was the opposite. He was authoritative. Adam and he butted heads often. One day when Adam was taking a particularly long time to get the dishes done, Rich told him, "Get in there and do the dishes or I'll plant you!" Adam retorted in his teenage way, "So plant me!" Rich literally flew across the room grabbed Adam around his neck and strong-armed Adam to the ground. Adam lay motionless on the ground while Rich tightened his grip around his neck. David ran up and down the stairs, yelling, "Call 911! Call 911!" My whole body felt like it was vibrating with fire. I was in abject terror. It reminded me of a scene with my mother and father, long ago. Now I understand how I attracted this abuse into my life. It was imprinted into my cellular memory. It vibrated out into the Universe and called this man to me.

I screamed at Rich to let go. Rich did not remember a thing about this event. He did not remember his hands around Adam's neck, nor the fact that he would not let go. His anger turned into blind rage. He was tapping into a moment in time when his mother was beaten and punched in the face by her husband, when Rich was 8 years old. We both had similar imprints. Rich was never able to clear his. Like his father, he put me down and criticised me. I was a good cook, but his comments were always negative during and after a meal, never uplifting or empowering. Each angry outburst chipped away at my trust and love for him. I eventually became very shutdown and closed off emotionally.

Our marriage was not all bad. Rich helped me to see how I lived in self pity. He was the first spiritual partner I ever had. He was my soul mate. In soul mate relationships, we often have tremendous strife, conflict and growth. Soul mate relationships can be the most challenging. I now wonder why people are so enamored with this type of relationship, having barely made it out of mine alive.

Encouragement

Rich encouraged me to start a business. Had it not been for him, I would never have had the courage to branch out on my own
and start my landscaping business, For Heaven Scapes. He gave me my first landscaping job, working for a prominent fertility doctor in Atlanta. Rich even helped me brainstorm for the name of my business.

Doing What We Say We Will Never Do

By the end of our marriage, not only did Rich use all the equity in my home, his building business went belly up. He became severely depressed. He spent his days in his office above our garage, while I worked my butt off in my landscaping business. When people asked later on if my husband was my partner, it angered me. Rich sat on his butt while I loaded and unloaded my trailer night after night.

He was physically incapable of working. I scrapped out his half built houses and scraped paint off the brand new commodes and tile flooring, trying to get his homes to sell. Four of his properties were returned to the bank. We lost our 4,000 square foot home. We went bankrupt after he insisted on building a home of his own, that we could neither afford nor keep. Although I had a very pleasant home in a beautiful neighborhood where Adam and David were happy, he could not live in my home, it had to be HIS.

Our egos can cripple our relationships. So can rage. Abuse chips away at the love and creates fear. Love does not create fear. When I refused sex, Rich raped me. When I wanted sex, he refused. He controlled every aspect of my life, including my children. He forced me to send Adam to live with his father. You might ask, incredulously, where was my will? I was terrified. The constant threat of abuse had me crippled with fear. The threat of violence was always present.

As soon as David turned 14, he left to live with his father as well. I felt like my world was crumbling under Rich's anger and control. It was. When I went off crying one night in my Ford Explorer, I parked in the parking lot of the middle school on a dark road. I sat crying in my vehicle. My weeping set off a charge which turned all the lights in the parking lot off all at once. It was the first time I really recognized my power. I stopped crying and the lights came back on.

I wished that Rich would be hit by a bus. I wanted him dead. I could see no way of getting out of our marriage alive. I was
Looking miserable at the end of our marriage in 2008.
terrified of him. Ariel was terrified of him as well. She had begun stuttering and had other nervous behaviors as well. Her older siblings were gone. Her mother was a wreck.

My mother had concerns and asked what happened to me? Friends were systematically eliminated from our circle. Rich did not like having people over. He did not want visits from family members. He wanted ultimate control. It was what his father did. He adopted the same paradigm. He told me that as soon as my sons turned 18, out they must go! It was what his father did, he followed by example.

Rich's control and rage became overwhelming. His anger scared me. He had guns that I was concerned about. When the comedian, Phil Hartman's wife shot him, I hid Rich's guns. I was in such fear that he would shoot my daughter and I while we slept. He was angry that I would not tell him where they were, but it made me feel safe.
Adam, David, Ariel all in For Heaven Scapes garb

When I became a Georgia Master Gardener, I was offered a job as a lawn and garden manager in Woodstock, Georgia Rich told me I couldn't leave our daughter in daycare. I invited Rich's mother to come live with us, to take care of our daughter. I felt like I was imprisoned. Rich's mother acted like a friend to me, but when I confided in her, ran to Rich with the information.

Finally, with the help of a friend, I found the courage to tell Rich his control was too much and I was done. I invited a family member to visit while Rich moved out of the house. I was so afraid that he would harm Ariel or me, in his anger. Our divorce was awful. He insisted on joint custody. Ariel cried every Sunday night with me knowing she had to spend the week with her father. He
Upon my return from India
was very protective of Ariel, but had no clue how to take care of her when she was sick. (There is so much more to this story that I write in my book, Odyssey Victim to Victory.) Rich and I met one day in Starbuck's. I asked him to allow Ariel to live with me full time, because the going back and forth was causing her too much stress. He was so angry after our discussion, he tried to run me over in the Starbuck's parking lot. People ran to my aid asking me if I wanted them to call the police. I was afraid of further inflaming the situation.

Fast Forward 8 Years

There are so many lessons learned from this relationship. We tried 7 times to reconcile. Rich could be quite sweet when he wanted something. As soon as I had sex with Rich, his old controlling patterns surfaced. I knew we could not be together as lovers. The love that was present early on, became more evident as we healed from the past events. Even though there was abuse,
control and many difficulties, we eventually became friends. We had a daughter and history between us. Once you move beyond the anger, you recognize the presence of the love, that never went away. It never does. It is just masked and hidden under the emotion and resentment. We often avoid our feelings by putting them aside. They eventually resurface and blindside us at the most unexpected times.

When I received guidance to move to Boulder, Colorado in 2011, I was afraid to tell Rich. My guides told me it would be okay. I had difficulty believing that this was true, but it was. Rich decided in the same week to move to North Dakota to work in the oil fields. I knew he would die there and was concerned for his well-being. I predicted his death, which occurred on July 4th, 2012. He died in his sleep with a smile on his face. He came to me that night, explaining that "a door simply opened and he walked through." I have experienced my own walk through the tunnel of light in 2013. I chose to remain here with my daughter and was backed quickly out of the tunnel. I still had work to do. I knew I was not done here.

Rich never stopped loving me, although his imprinting of family abuse caused his own issues with rage and abuse. Although he had deep patterns and trapped emotions that I did not know how to clear back then, he asked me why he could never get beyond his rage. The rage caused him to have HTP, (premature ejaculation). Premature ejaculation is caused by trapped emotions. It can be healed and remedied. This is part of the work I do now.

The Moral Of The Story

Soul mate relationships are not always delightful. In fact, they can be the most challenging relationships that we experience. We attract those we have the deepest issues with. The relationship mirrors our issues back to us, to help us resolve ours. Our energy field reverberates out into the Universe and we are matched with people of similar issues.

Rich was extremely possessive, jealous and controlling of me, but he was the one that had multiple affairs with clients, not me. Jealousy is a sign of deep self loathing, and low self esteem. People who have healthy self esteem are not jealous.

When too many issues in both parties are negative, the relationship implodes. Rich and I both had abuse and addiction in our family of origin. I had sexual trauma in my childhood as well. We were seen by two different traditional therapy counselors. In the first situation, when Rich was forced to look at his issues he became violent and threatened the therapist. That ended our therapy. The second instance, Rich was made out to be the good guy, I was the bad one. We also went to an energy healer who was an acupuncturist. I highly recommend acupuncture for many issues and clearing of energy, however it does not clear trapped emotions. In my experience traditional therapy keeps you stuck in your issues, rather than clearing the problems from the point of origin.

I had committed to healing my life prior to meeting Rich. I know I called him forth, after my father died to heal my past. After our separation, I did deep energy work and introspection. This is when I was guided to create the tools for my healing work in use today. I recognized that I was the common denominator in all my relationships. It was a big aha moment for me. I was not a victim, but a victor. This relationship dredged up my deepest darkest issues for me to see and heal.

Rich was a loving father to his daughter, however controlling and protective he was. He did the best he could. The fact that he worked

in North Dakota provided Ariel the money for her to attend college without school loans and debt.

Be Careful What You Wish For

Our thoughts are powerful. Did I wish Rich dead? When I was in the middle of the melee and the mess? Yes, I did. Did I cause his death. No. That I know for sure. I do miss our conversations and the depth of his understanding of me. My daughter will not have her father to see her graduate college. He has already missed her high school graduation. He will not walk her down the aisle, should she choose to marry. Although I know he sees and hears what is going on in her life, physically he is not here for her to hug, or talk to about her daily life.  Once we love another, that love is always present, although sometimes hidden under sorrow, pain and suffering.

Death Prediction

Yes, I told Rich about the possibility of his impending death in May. He had an abscessed tooth that he had not taken care of due to financial issues. He came to me the week of Ariel's 16th birthday and asked me to intuitively check in for him. I told him that the abscess had cleared his gum line, but the infection had travelled to his heart. I also directed him to go back to his dentist to get a different antibiotic to treat his heart infection, rather than a broad spectrum antibiotic. When he called his dentist, he was told the antibiotic was fine. So much for medical advice and care. Sometimes, we need to trust the guidance we receive and fight for our own health. Rather than to entrust what another with our life and health.

Rich was an avid runner. Although fit, he ate ice cream every single night. Not just a small bowl, but a big heaping bowl. His favorite was Espresso chip by Edy's. He would often eat ice cream, but not allow Ariel to have it, which caused her great resentment.

He ran the Peachtree Road race 26 years in a row. In 2012, July 4th the day of the Peachtree Road race was the day he left his body in Williston, North Dakota.

Waiting For Your Soul Mate

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

You want to have someone to share your life with. You know you are ready for love, but can't seem to find it? Have you been looking through the forest of people out there, but are you unable to see the ONE that causes your heart to flutter, your pulse to quicken or you to KNOW, without a doubt that he (or she) is IT?

Those that have worked with me, know that one of my gifts is helping women get the guy. They may have dated, been married, had relationships in the past that either ended through death or didn't work out, or weren't what they wanted. I help you focus on you, get clear, laser focused while re-directing your thinking so that you are open to finding love AND (the key here) open to RECEIVING LOVE. Many women and some men are closed to receiving love. If you are closed to receiving love, you may long for it, but never find it. This gets cleared in the process too.

I have done it, helped women find love with great success. Yes, I have a system that works. I manifest in the moment for myself. My adult children come to me on behalf of friends, asking me to manifest their wishes for them. Here is a link to some of the things I manifested last summer. Since then I asked for a free week in Colorado so my family could all be together at Christmas time. A tall order? Not tall enough for The Universe! It happened.

When family members see the evidence, through their own experience that is proof. My son recently asked me to help his girlfriend get the exact car she wanted, "Mom, do your thing!" My daughter called me yesterday stuck in an icy parking spot in Boulder, Colorado, over 1,100 miles away. I told her to get off the phone and call a friend. While she was occupied, I said a prayer. Within minutes a guy she didn't know showed up with kitty litter and helped her get out of the spot. She called me back all excited, "Mom, you are amazing, it was like a miracle! It happened so fast!" My family knows this is how I live my life. Some things take a little longer, because there is something that we need to do, or heal before we get the guy or girl.

Here are some of the things you will get from my coaching experience.

  1. Happiness. What? Yes, if you do the homework, follow the directions, and stay with the course, you will find happiness. I did, and my clients do.
  2. Shift your focus because the way you are currently thinking isn't working for you.
  3. Focus on you. I help you come to loving acceptance of yourself, so that others will lovingly accept you the way you are. How many relationships have you had where either you tired to fix your partner, or they tried to fix you. This never works out.
  4. If you keep attracting love that isn't love, is abusive, lying cheating partners, I help you by clearing those limiting beliefs that are stuck so that you can get into a new groove of receiving a healthy love, that is balanced, accepting and nurturing.
  5. A better life. There is no doubt that when you work with me your life will improve in all areas. Go to my website and check out the testimonials. Set up a time to talk to me for 30 minutes for free, not everyone is committed to making the changes that will change their lives, but maybe YOU are.

I met Jennifer at one of her workshops that a friend recommended to me.  At that time I was searching, and wanting some help out of my deep depression and anxiety.
Keeping in touch, I joined her on line workshops, and eventually her coaching once a week.

One of my earliest coaching sessions with Jennifer, I felt complete trust, like I have never felt with anyone in my ENTIRE LIFE.  I told her my deepest darkest secrets, and she welcomed me into her loving space.  For this, I will never ever forget, and will be eternally grateful.

She allowed me to be where I was, no rescue, no high expectation - no pat advice that I have heard over and over - not landing anywhere in me that could really grow.
Her advice was simple and doable, small steps to move forward - with kindness, and no judgment allowed me to open up.

The meditations helped me see my guides and myself in a new light.
As I grew in compassion and respect for myself as a result from the coaching sessions, vast changes in me occurred.

I feel happier, more peaceful, more truly loving now.

In both my professional life and personal life, the changes though subtle, were highly significant:  I easily am present with people and they sense this.  If nothing else occurs, I feel that this is a huge gift, to be able to connect with people so that they feel heard and significant. N. A, Atlanta, Georgia, December, 2014

Jennifer is a catalystic life, love, sex and relationship coach. She is more than just a coach and author. She is awakened and self actualized. She is in constant contact with The Divine, connected with her Divine high self. Just talking to her will shift you. It is nothing that she DOES, but who she is.

She helps women (and some men) find the love they are seeking. She has successfully helped hundreds of women (and herself) wonderful partners who are exactly what they are seeking. She will teach you how in her Love Yourself Fearlessly Private sessions. She has an uncanny knack for cutting to the root of the issues quickly clearing the pattern so you get out of your rut. Her life experience is vast, giving her deep and profound wisdom. She is compassionate, caring and kind. However, her directness and ability to cut through the smoke means a better coaching experience for her clients. She has a large toolbox of skills from hypnotherapy to energy healing. She empowers her clients to self direct so that when their coaching experience is over, they are well on their way of using the tools given to continue to work on a daily basis on their own.

Women Only THINK They Know What They Want

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Having been a woman myself, for most of my life, I can attest to the fact that most women have no idea who they are. When we don't know who we are, we don't know what we want either.

When I embarked on my healing journey after a particularly difficult marriage, I began to look at how I created the issues within my marriage. I began to look at myself. This was really new to me, since most of my life I blamed others for my life. I have since learned that we are not victims AND they Universe and God is orchestrating our lives FOR us. Everything that happens happens because it is a reflection of our inner most thoughts, fears and beliefs and teaches us a lesson at the same time.

All that said, I will repeat most women do not know what they want. I see it all the time. Women sit down to order in a restaurant. We all pour over the menus choosing carefully. Sometimes, we even ask everyone at the table, "What are you getting?" We choose our meal. Then when everyone's food arrives, we wonder why we didn't choose differently.

Same thing when it comes to choosing men. Most women think they know what they want in a man, but the details are fuzzy. What is important and works for them could be entirely different than what they manifest.

We often focus on looks, money and financial security. Then our guy arrives and he is abusive, boyish, untidy and screws around on us. He might even be emotionally unavailable and totally incapable of an independent thought. Why do we do this?

Most women do not sit down and write down what they want in a man on a piece of paper. I recommend you do this. Carefully. Write all the things that you WANT in a man. Most women focus on what they DON'T want, rather than what they want. Whatever you focus on is what you will bring to you. Also, if you are asking for a millionaire and you are penniless, that won't work either. You have to BE what you are trying to attract.

Twin Flame Lessons

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Twin Flames come in for a very short time. to teach us something profound. Often our Twin Flames are married to someone else, which means we can't be together. A Twin Flame relationship is very different than a Soul Mate relationship. A Soul Mate relationship can last years. A Soul Mate relationship is often tumultuous, bringing up your deepest issues.

The connection of a Twin Flame relationship is unsurpassed. A Twin Flame connection can be felt coming for years. You know the instant that you meet that there is something very special. When you finally embrace, magic happens. The love overwhelms you.

I have had many women and men ask me, "Why would I meet my Twin Flame if I am not to be with them?" Usually, your Twin Flame comes in to teach you how to love and accept yourself AS YOU ARE!

John Armbruster was charismatic, sexy, intelligent and loved me unconditionally. I found out after his death that he was with another woman when he traveled north to meet with the Native American council. This confirmed my suspicions. There was some missing time in John's travels. I felt something wasn't right. I asked him about it at the time, but he hedged and avoided.

John Armbruster admitted to being a sex addict. Although he had worked on this issue, it still plagued him. He couldn't be faithful. He lied about other things as well. I caught him smoking while we were on the phone. He told me he only smoked the ceremonial pipe. I knew he was smoking other things. He thought I couldn't tell. I was very aware and observant. It was difficult to put something past me. He commented on that fact many times.

He did not overcome his issues with his children. He had difficulty with forgiveness. John was very evolved. When I brought up an issue with him, he listened. He would admit his faults openly. He knew himself well. He had daily spiritual practice, which helped me recognize that I needed to meditate daily, pray more and be in touch with the earth and God's creatures for messages. Birds, deer and other animals give us messages. John reminded me to be observant, notice and feel what they were telling me. (I was already doing this, but his teachings took it a step deeper.)

For two years after John's death, Blue Herons would be present in the sky, on my pond and around the places I traveled to. He continued to send me messages through the Blue Herons.

What Does A Twin Flame Teach Us?

  1. They often help you see what your path is.
  2. They teach you loving acceptance of self.
  3. They teach you that although they are very special, they aren't perfect. No one is.
  4. They teach you that we all have issues, but you need to love yourself anyway - ALL OF YOU. Not just the parts that are easy to love and accept.
  5. We all have a shadow self. This part needs special love and attention to be completely integrated within the self, rather than cordoned off and segregated.

My Twin Flame Love: Part I

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Women dream of a Soul Mate or Twin Flame relationship. They long for the deep soul connection with a partner that crosses all time, dimensions and lifetimes. In 2003, I experienced my own Twin Flame relationship. This is my story.

On October 31st, 2003, I purchased my first pick-up truck. I had been running my own landscape design and installation company, since July 1st, 2001. I had become a Master Gardener some years before. I enjoyed designing and planting. I had been operating out of the back of my leather interior, Ford Explorer for two years. My landscape professional friends and nurserymen teased me, "When are you going to get a truck like a REAL landscaper?" Purchasing a truck was a big deal. The truck was symbolic for me. It signified that I was committed to running For Heaven Scapes, Ltd for some time to come. I had difficulty sticking with anything for very long. My ADD caused me to lose interest quickly. Landscaping was different, I was passionate about it. Although the truck had 69,000 miles on it, it was like new for me. It had been previously owned by a woman and felt like mine.

My confidence began to increase the longer I was in business. It was just 8 months since I kicked Rich Resuta out of the house. He had been abusive the entire 10 years of our marriage. He was controlling, intimidating and raged much of the time. Finally standing up to him and telling him "ENOUGH!" was huge for me. I spent my time when my 7-year old daughter was not with me, quietly, journaling, meditating and healing from our marriage.

With my brand new white pick-up truck, I drove to Murphy North Carolina to spend the weekend with my spiritual mentor at that time, Lynette Lindsey. Lynette was a psychic. Although there was a15 year age difference, we became close friends. She helped me and I helped her when she had breast cancer. She taught me about Metaphysics and energy. She was my first spiritual teacher. She had lived with native American Indians in Chaco canyon and several other places across the United States. She was a very gentle being and certainly walked softly on the earth. She studied and was very "into" Native American tradition and lore.

She handed me a brochure about a buffalo drum making workshop taking place the next month in Hiawassee, Georgia. She pushed me to go. She told me, "There is something here for you." When Lynette had a psychic feeling, I knew she would be right.

On the morning of the workshop, there was a chill in the air. It was a frosty morning. I received guidance to "dress down. Take off my diamond earrings, wear layers and look feminine." I had never received guidance like this before. I did as I was instructed, and dressed in layers as "they" told me to do. I loaded my aging golden retriever, Gunner and Karma into my white pick-up truck. I was on the road by 7:05 AM. I was pleased with myself as I knew the two-hour drive would land me in Murphy a little late for Lynette's taste. She always liked to be early. So much for what Lynette wanted. She was lucky I was up and on the road by 7:00! I enjoyed the drive, which was made more exciting by the newness of my vehicle. It was going to be a great day!

Lynette was anxious when I arrived. I was late. It made her angry. We had to pick up Anne, her friend before driving to Hiawassee for the workshop. Hiawassee was around a mountain and took another hour to get there. I had already driven two to Lynette's from Alpharetta, Georgia.

As we drove down Anne's driveway we saw a herd of deer grazing. Lynette said that was a sign. Deer represent gentleness. Whoever sees the animal first, is who the sign is for. I knew it too. I counted three. Lynette said the number was significant. I wasn't sure of what, but I knew it was meant for me.

Lynette was all abuzz about John Armbruster, the drum-maker and presenter of this workshop. She had taken John all around Murphy and had lunch with him earlier in the week. She said that she looked at John's palms (she read palms and taught palmistry). She found his were extraordinary. She said she had never seen such a square hand. She said he was not from here. She said he had a photographic memory and was incredibly intelligent. She was very excited about him, I wondered, silently, if she was falling for him.

Anne was ready and we were turned around and back on the road before long. As we turned into the Metaphysical store Where Angels Gather, we saw a flock of turkeys. Turkeys represent give-away. In Native American tradition, a give-away often follows a sweat lodge or pow-wow. People put treasures on a blanket. You leave the treasures you no longer want and make take someone else's giveaway treasure.

We all were very quiet as we felt the day had a magical quality about it. I wasn't sure what was happening, but it certainly felt like we had walked through a door into another world.

As we climbed out of the truck and began to walk toward the store where the workshop was to be held, Lynette said, "Oh there's John!" I looked up to see a man who looked like The Marlboro man from commercials. He was clad entirely in denim. He was wearing a Stetson with Indian beads and a turtle around the brim.
huarache sandals
On his feet, which were bare on this cold, November morning were huarache sandals. I thought at the time, this man is very unusual. He was definitely non-traditional. His ocean blue eyes looked right into mine as I passed by. I said a quick hello, as Lynette called over her shoulder, We'll go and register inside. " He was not my type at all. A little stocky, shorter than I liked and certainly more earthy that I liked. I had to say I was intrigued.
John Armbruster 2003

We each paid our registration fee and spent the remainder of the 30 minutes prior to the class warming up. It was chilly and the workshop was being held in the outdoor gazebo.

At 11:00 we wandered outside, in the cold, for the workshop. Another older woman showed up a little late, which made a total of 5 in the workshop. John was okay with that, as he was habitually late as well, he told us. He introduced himself. He was a Geologist, an earth keeper, a geomancer, did Imperical Feng Shui for the earth and home, sweat lodges and was a pipe carrier. He talked for about 30 minutes while he told us how to sand the drum frames till they were smooth. We warmed up rather quickly doing this physical work. Pretty soon, our jackets were off as the sun warmed up the gazebo.

As we worked on our drums, each woman introduced themselves. I was the youngest of the group. When it came time for me, I said my name and where I was from, John replied in a strange squeaky voice, "You are from TORONTO? AND your name is JENNIFER!!!??" He acted as if this was significant. At this point, he sat down beside me ostensibly to help another woman with her drum frame and began asking me questions.

We worked on our drums for almost two hours and Lynette suddenly stood up and said, "I haven't gotten my hug, John!" He smiled warmly and moved into the center of the gazebo to hug her. The other women quickly stood up as well, each smiling and waiting for her hug. I waited till everyone had their hugs and I moved into the center of the gazebo. Lynette stood there smiling at us. John moved toward me and I leaned my head on his shoulder while he held me. I could smell leather and cold on him. He drew me close to him and we stood for what seemed like no time, an eternity, I was not certain how long. While he held me I felt wave after wave of love coming from him, around him to me around me the energy was so strong, Lynette told me afterward she had to back up it almost knocked her over. The love for this man was deep, far-reaching and endless. I could not understand how I could feel such love for someone I had never met before.

John handed out our buffalo skins. I knew nothing about buffalo and less about drums. Lynette was angry with me as she thought John had given me the better buffalo hide for my drum. I could not see the difference. I thought it was strange how angry she was.

As we reluctantly let go of each other, we were both unsteady on our feet. These feelings were pure love. There was no sexual energy in this feeling. Although I argued with Lynette about that later. I only felt deep connected love. It was endless, amazing and had me reeling. I was not divorced, only separated. Why would I meet someone, when I wasn't looking, and obviously not available - legally?

We finished our drum-making and John did a ceremony to awaken the drums. We stood in the center of the gazebo while John belted out a traditional Native American blessing. His voice was incredible, You could feel it in your soul. He touched oil of sage on each of our foreheads and also on the drum. When he touched my face, he looked into my eyes and awakened more than just my drum. There was a strong pull between us. He had a hard time not kissing me. He finally looked away and tried to pull it together enough to close the workshop.

Everyone scattered quickly. I walked down the sidewalk to wash off my hands in the outside spigot. I wondered how I should give him my business card. I wasn't sure what to say. I knew he was heading to Atlanta and needed a place to stay. Although, in the back of my mind, I knew I had Ariel with me the next week. Rich would not like it if I had a man staying with me, with Ariel present. He would probably never find out, I thought....

As I walked back to the gazebo, John was gathering up the last of his plastic totes with the buffalo skins, rawhide sinew, and sandpaper. I knew this was my only chance. I handed John my For Heaven Scapes, business card. He was impressed. I did Feng Shui in the garden, he did it for the earth. I suggested we have lunch together when he was in Atlanta. He said he would call me. He thanked me and I walked off with my feet barely touching the earth.

After dropping Anne at her home, Lynette and I drove back to her place in Murphy as if we were flying on rocket ships. We were both high as kites. I could not explain the feeling, except to say I knew what happened today was hugely significant. She did too.

Lynette told me she would take me out to the local barbecue joint in Murphy because I drove everyone. There are not many places to choose from there. From flea market to bird seed store, there were not many shops and fewer restaurants. As we sat down at the table Lynette regarded me with amusement. I looked at her and said with a lilt in my voice, "WHAT??" She said, "You know perfectly well WHAT! John is what! What was that all about?" I told her what I experienced. She doubted that validity of my statement that it was not a sexual experience at all. All I felt was pure love.

It was then that she told me that the energy of our embrace nearly bowled her over. She said she felt faintly embarrassed, as the other women were looking on as we stood there suspended in time and space, seemingly above everyone else, floating.

I didn't care what the others thought. That was the least of my concerns. I wondered how I could keep him from Rich. Ariel could not keep a secret.

I left Gunner with Lynette. The drive was too much for him. He would not come out from under her table to make the drive home. I wondered to Lynette how I would get him back to Alpharetta - more than 2 hours away. She said not to worry. She would think of something. I knew she had something up her sleeve.

By Monday, John had called and left me a message. I knew he was staying with friends in the Sautee Nachoochee Valley in Georgia. I was not sure of their relationship when I  returned his call and heard a curious woman's voice. Her name was Diana. She smiled into the phone and called, "JOOHHHN! There's a  woman on the phone for you!" As John came to the phone, I could hear teasing from Diana about the phone call.

John expressed a strong desire to see me again. I explained the situation with my daughter. I offered my upstairs room, with the caveat that there was no door to the bedroom. He told me he had spend a night or two in a snow drift in the mountains, he was not the least concerned about no door to the bedroom. John was not sure how he was going to get from Diana's to Atlanta. Since Gunner was still at Lynette's I said, I might have to drive up to get him. I would let him know once I talked with Lynette.

I called Lynette to tell her that John would be staying with me a couple of nights. She smiled into the phone and offered to drive Gunner down to the highway, meeting me half-way. It was a longer and very windy drive for her, I was grateful for her help. She knew she was playing the part she needed to and was happy to do it. She smiled at me as John got out of her Jeep. Ariel said hello to Lynette and sheepishly sat in the backseat playing Opossum all the way home. I knew she was taking it all in, listening while feigning sleep. John commented a few times about her taking him in. She was watching when he wasn't looking.

When we arrived home, it was late. As John lifted Gunner out of the truck, he said to me words I will never forget, looking around at the beauty of the 7 acre property I lived on, 100 year old trees, he said, "You have a rich life." I pondered his words. John was not one to make small talk. When he commented about something you knew it carried weight. I carried Ariel to bed then I showed John his room.

We sat in the area designated as a family room. It was a little chilly there at night. We talked for hours about our lives, families and what we had learned. I had never seen John without his hat, till now. He liked wearing it. I wondered if he slept in it? It was so John. He wore an amber necklace around his neck, always, he said. He did computer programming to make ends meet. Drum-making and earth-keeping did not pay the bills. Apparently, he was quite good at what he did. I had no doubt. I swore I was spending time with the Marlboro man. What on earth was happening?

Eventually, I could not stand it any longer. After hours of talking and nervous sexual tension between us, I slide over closer to him and kissed him fully on the mouth. As I began to move away, he pulled me back, saying, "Don't go, yet! I'm liking this."

While I shared stories, I named him, John-of-few-words, and gave myself the moniker, Jennifer-who-speaks-too-much. He told me about being with a beautiful woman named, Jennifer. He spent several nights in a snow drift with her in the Sierra Nevada mountains. She wanted to BE with him. He could feel another person that he was supposed to be with, also named Jennifer.

He was told her name and that she was from Toronto. He was told he would die at the hands of Jennifer. When he flew to Atlanta, although he had appointments, he thought he might die in a plane crash. I found it terribly eery. He said he could feel the exact moment that she was no longer available. He thought that this person was either off the planet or had married. He asked me when Rich and I got married. He asked me when Ariel was born. The dates coincided with my marriage to Rich, more importantly, the birth of Ariel. John knew the Jennifer in his vision from Toronto, was me.

The interesting thing was that I had felt a man coming to me on the etheric or astral plane for over 10 years. I could feel that this person loved me. I didn't know who he was. I didn't know where he was, but I could feel him. He came in very strongly before I met Rich Resuta. Comparing notes, it was the same time frame that he had. My sense was that when I turned the corner to marry Rich, John was pushed further back.

We did not make love that night. John had an issue with sexual addiction. He wanted to wait as long as we could. He was trying to change his ways. Women fell all over him. Although he was not brawny, or incredibly good-looking, he was charismatic and had a very special energy about him. His friend, Diana would later recount stories of women standing in front of him when he was in the middle of meditating or doing ceremony and do hand-stands and other revealing yoga positions right in front of him when he was in Sedona. He had a magnetism and charisma that few have. There was no doubt John was special, as Lynette reminded me every time I spoke to her.

John and I visited a client of his in Atlanta. We did the Feng Shui together. We each taught the other what we knew. I noticed that a piece of furniture had been moved and that there was an argument over it. The couple had split up and divided furniture. They fought over the piano. We cleared the energy of the house together.

Being with John was amazing. We didn't need to speak. I could read his thoughts. At one point, he quipped, "Get out of my head, will you?" I could finish his sentences, when he stopped talking. Although we just met, we knew each other instantly. Our connection was immediate. There was history, of unknown origin. People felt it when they saw us together.
I had just yelled at Ariel - she's not happy here

Our time together drew to an end. Rich refused to allow Ariel to be in the house when my Indian friend was over. Ariel's connection with John was powerful as well. She told John of being in a past life with him, where they were both Native American Indians. Ariel described the wikiup that he lived in. John said she was his sister. She told John he had also been her father. He became quite somber at this point. As if to break the tension, Ariel went and grabbed her recorder and played for John. John played his native American flute for her. There was a softness between Ariel and John that was missing in her relationship with her father. John totally accepted her as an equal. He could see her gifts. He gave Ariel a piece of buffalo fur. He said it was sacred. He also gave her a feather from a Blue Heron. He said he communicated and worked with Blue Heron energy.

There was so much richness here between the three of us. When John found out that Rich would not allow Ariel to come back and see him, his eyes filled with tears and he cried. He would not speak of what he was feeling. There was much he did not tell me.

When I drove him to the airport, he found out his flight was delayed. I had already driven off and was headed home. He called me asking me to come back. I turned around, even though I was only 20 minutes from home. Our time was precious and we both knew it. We had Chinese food and I drove John back to the airport. I parked in the dropping off lane. He slid over in the front seat to snuggle and kiss my good-bye. As we were in a deep embrace one of Atlanta's finest policewomen rapped on my window. "This is a drop off only!" John kept kissing me. I gasped for air, "John she's giving us a ticket!" He kept kissing me. When she rapped on my window again, she angrily said, "Move this vehicle NOW!" John took the ticket from me and told me this $50.00 kiss was well worth it! It may have been the most expensive kiss he had ever had, but it was one he would always remember!

John returned to Atlanta three weeks later. He and I spent Thanksgiving at Diana's, his friend in Sautee, Georgia. I marveled at all the carbohydrates on the table. I was not used to eating this way. John said, "They're young." John was doing marriage counseling for Diana and Steve. Steve would drink while they talked. John commented that there were some serious issues there. I instantly liked his friends. Diana told me to bring Ariel up to meet Forrest. They were the same age. I told her I would.

Around Thanksgiving, John held a children's honoring ceremony at Diana's. Ariel and I were invited. There were water balloon fights and a circle where the children were each honored for their gifts in front of the group by their parents. It was lovely. All the kids had a blast. John had Ariel and I saged each person in the circle. It felt like family. Ariel and I talked about her connection with John. She said he was more of a father to her than her own. He certainly was more loving and accepting. But more than that, it was a deep spiritual connection and love that no one could explain.

Ariel's connection with John was profound. Of course, she could not keep silent when at her father's. She was exploding with stories about him. Rich was hoping for a reconciliation. He was angry, humiliated and feeling desperate. He came at me with both barrels legally. With Christmas coming, my attorney said John needed to stay away. He had become a source of concern for Rich. It put me in a very bad position legally. Georgia was a good ole' boy network. Males seemed to do better than females in court.

John sent a package for New Years. John did not believe in giving presents for Christmas. He didn't like the gift-giving because it was "Christmas" that whole materialistic thing bothered the heck out of him. He was not materialistic at all. In fact, he was the opposite. He preferred gifts that were meaningful. His gifts spoke of the relationship between the two people. In the box, was a turtle for Ariel. It had significance. He wrote a loving card to us both, with a note to each of us explaining the gifts that he sent. (The details of the card are written in my book Odyssey Victim To Victory).

He sent a crystal to Ariel for protection and a Herkimer diamond that he mined himself for me. Each gift had a significance for us personally. There was no doubt of the love that he felt for both of us. Getting through the holidays without seeing each other was very difficult. We talked on the phone often and connected through AOL messenger at other times. Finally, in January, John had enough. He decided to come to see me. Against my legal advice, we both agreed, we couldn't wait any longer.

The is the end of Part I. Click here for Part II. I have a summary and follow-up article about what I learned through this profound and life-changing experience in Twin Flame Lessons

This story is also written in my first book, Odyssey Victim To Victory. Although it was fifteen years ago, I remember like it was yesterday. I remember what I wore, how he smelled and felt. Recounting this story to you now, brings back all those feelings like I am in the moment. Which is one of the reasons, we need to not live life with regret. Be grateful for each moment and stay in the present.
