The Inner Secret of Doing Yoga You Didn't Realize

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr.

Gurus do it. Tantrikas do it. Famous movie stars do it. But what is yoga good for? Almost everything! From depression to anxiety, sleep disorders to PTSD, yoga not only gets you fit but relaxes you, relieving stress.

I started doing yoga thirty-five years ago while living in England. I had a delightful teacher who did a deep meditative practice at the end which I loved. Since that time, I found many teachers, but the meditation part was often skipped or glossed over for fear of offending someone.

Today, my meditation practice happens daily no matter what. Yoga is something I do in the desert and sometimes in a studio. Yoga can be done in your living room, your backyard or at the beach. All you need is you.

For those of you that think yoga is for sissies, think again. Even Robert Downey Jr., Russell Brand, Bon Jovi and Sting do yoga

Yesterday, I did a particularly difficult hot yoga class. But also not only did I sweat my ass off, all the up and down dogs in the flow class moved my emotions. At the end of the class when asked to give ourselves a hug, I cried. As I held myself in a loving embrace emotions within me came out and up. My tears surprised me. Crying relieves stress and releases hormones that make us feel good. Moving our bodies allows us to release whatever needs to be released. Whatever issues come up in our work day yoga helps us process.

Deep Breathing

The deep breathing in yoga can help children and adults in many ways. Deep breathing can help with pain management, stress relief, asthma, autism and so many others. Most people don't breathe deeply enough. Yoga gives you so many opportunities to change old patterns with something as simple as breathing deeply. Just check in right now. Notice how you are breathing. Maybe you are holding your breath. Most people breathe shallowly which causes many issues later in life, COPD is one of them. Our lungs need to expand fully with our breath so that they fill up completely.

One of my clients has advanced COPD. She is on oxygen 24 hours a day, seven days a week. She is unable to travel without oxygen or even go for a walk without dragging that tank behind her like a ball and chain. Think about living a life like that. Breathing deeply is one of the biggest benefits of yoga. Deep breathing helps all our organs function better. Oxygen is needed for vibrant health, rich blood that feeds our muscle tissues all the way down to our cells.

Yoga and Sex

Madonna back bend
Deep breathing and yoga improve your sex life, oxygenating your body and lengthening and strengthening orgasms. Yoga helps you move into deep stretches while breathing which allow more flexibility and less pain during sex. You might not like Madonna, but you have to admire her ability to do back bends and have an amazingly toned body. How does she do it? Yoga!

Want A Great Butt?

Yoga tones will lift and will give you a great butt at any age. Stretching is good for the body. Take it slow. You don't have to begin doing shoulder stands or handstands.

Just Some Benefits of Yoga

  • improves muscle strength
  • improves flexibility
  • protects us from arthritis, back pain later in life
  • improves balance which prevents falls
  • perfects your posture
  • opens your heart
  • oxygenates the blood improving cardiovascular health
  • protects the spine
  • improves bone health (helping calcium to stay in the bones)
  • drains lymphatic system and improves immune function
  • regulates adrenal glands - keeping us sexually able
  • lowers blood sugar
  • helps you focus
  • makes you happier
  • releases tension in the limbs
  • helps you sleep more deeply
  • prevents IBS and other digestive issues
  • gives you peace of mind
  • helps you stay in your body
  • keeps you present in the moment
  • helps you release emotions
  • helps you evolve spiritually
Mom turning 95 in 2017
I do yoga for all of the above reasons and a few others I haven't mentioned because I plan to live a very long life. I want to be healthy when I am in my late nineties and beyond. I don't want to carry an oxygen tank around with me or be hunched over as I age. Yoga keeps us young, vital and healthy. Love yourself enough to take care of your body so that you are fit, youthful when you reach 70, 100 or beyond!

I love you!

Increase Vitality Health and Sexual Vigor Through The 5 Tibetan Rites

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Kayla-Itsines-Bianca-Cheah

People come into our lives for all different reasons. When someone offers me a solution to living a long vital life, I embrace it willingly. I recently met a beautiful man who looked twenty years younger and more vibrant than his chronological age. He shared his daily practice with me.

The 5 Tibetan Rites is the fountain of youth for each of us.

The 5 Rites are as much breathing exercises as they are physically strengthening.

This video shows Martin A UK Trainer doing the 5 Rites

Luang Phu Supha
Back in the 1920's a Britsh Colonel searched for and found the Tibetan monks who taught him the 5 Sacred Tibetan Rites. One Tibetan monk in Thailand was the oldest man alive, at 115. His birth was recorded as 1896. Luang Phu Supha was the Abbot for the beautiful temple named after him in Thailand.

The backstory behind these Rites is available through The Five Tibetan Rites.com.  It is very important to do these 5 Rites exactly as they are taught. Don't make any changes to the routine. The Tibetan monks developed these exercises over centuries. If you see Tibetan monks you will notice they are fit and vigorous no matter their age.

Get Your 20-Year Old Metabolism Back

I began doing these exercises just over two weeks ago. I have already toned my body, tightened my skin, feel better, sleep more deeply, and have lost weight without doing anything different. I have to say, I feel lighter in more ways than just one!

The Tibetan monks say that these five exercises performed twice a day, as a morning and evening practice, open all the chakras, tone the body, balance the emotions, calm the mind and stimulate the glands of the endocrine system. What does this mean? If you don't have a sex drive, you will. If you have a difficult time getting an erection, these exercises will help you with that too.

The Chakras

The 5 Tibetan Rites are five very simple exercises that balance all the chakras, stretch muscle groups and help you awaken. The speed of our chakras are the key to vibrant health.

Negativity distorts the speed and shape of the chakras. The 5 Rites speed up the spinning of the chakras coordinate their spin so that they are in complete harmony, as well as distribute prana energy to the endocrine system and then all the organs and processes in the body.  These exercises are the key to vibrant health, rejuvenation and looking youthful.

These exercises are to be done one after the other and the same number for each. As you develop strength and endurance you will increase the number going from 3 to 6, 9 and 12 till you reach 21 repetitions of each exercise.

When I first began the exercises I was out in the desert spinning around, WHEEE! I did 21 spins easily. Whoa there Nellie! This isn't the way the exercise is done. We must go from one to the next right after the first exercise if completed.

We need to be in complete control of our bodies while performing each exercise. Only do the number you can safely and comfortably do. Currently, I am performing 12 repetitions of each exercise.

If you are physically fit, begin by doing each exercise three times. If you are not in good physical health or fit, begin with one of each exercise. Start slow and work up to more repetitions very slowly. Don't discount the effect on your body-mind and spirit. These exercises are powerful. Once you build up to 21, you may increase the speed, but never the number. Only do 21 repetitions of each.

1. The spin. Center yourself, arms outstretched, palms downwards. Consider your movements while turning clockwise. Keep control of your body as you make each turn. Count from the place you begin.

2. Leg Raise. Lay on a yoga mat. Raise your straight legs to be perpendicular to your body. At the same time lift your head off the yoga mat turning your chin toward your chest. Breathe in as you lift your legs and out as you lower them tighten your anal sphincter as you breathe out. The breathing is as important as the exercise itself. Don't hold your breath.

Repeat the same number of each exercise as previous 3, 6, 9, 12 up to 21 repetitions.

Head roll and incorrect position of arms for leg raise.
3. Head Roll. Kneel on your mat, using good posture. Roll your head backward breathing inwards. As you roll your head forward and chin to your chest exhale completely. Roll your head backward supporting yourself by moving your hands from your thighs to your buttocks.

4. Table. Beginning in a seated posture. Breathe in and create a table with your abdomen and chest flat and even. Breathe out as

you sit back down. This exercise is the most difficult for me and regulates the number of all other exercises I am able to do, as it is the most vigorous. My abdomen isn't the strongest part of me, so I take my time with this exercise. I get stronger each time I perform the 5 Rites.

5. Inverted. Down dog into Chaturanga (Cobra pose) and back to down dog again. Repeat. Breathe in as you raise your hips to the inverted V. Breathe out as your head comes down. At the end of the 5th Rite lie on your stomach close your eyes and feel your body. 21 maximum repetitions of each Rite. Do the same amount for each Rite.

Follow the exercises in the YouTube video. Do only what you can do comfortably and perform these exercises daily. You will retain a youthful glow and feel happier as well. To your health and longevity! Let's live to be 110! Visit Jennifer's website. Or Send her a private e-mail

8 Unusual And Different Ways To Meet Singles You Hadn't Thought of Before

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Single women, tend to think they can only meet men on the Internet. For men who read my blog, you too can find these suggestions will help you meet great women as well.

Chapel in the woods, Arkansas

The Internet isn't the highest vibrational way to meet people. We can't be sure that what we are seeing is real. The dangers of meeting someone we know nothing about can be exhilarating, but a little scary as well. Instead, of the Internet get creative like I am and find new and different ways to meet singles and eligible partners in fun and unique ways.

1. Take a road trip! I love to drive and meet wonderful people at rest stops, and even gas stations along the way. I love to stop at picturesque places, take photos and walk my dogs. I have yet to stop at a rest stop in Colorado when I didn't meet a handsome and available man.

2. Take a hike! If you are healthy, fit and want to meet other healthy and fit people get out on the trail and smile! Be friendly. Say good morning to people you meet on the trail. You never know what your smile might spark in someone else.

3. Take a class. Plenty of divorced people take cooking classes, art classes, yoga or learn to rock climb. Be adventurous and get out of your comfort zone. Be friendly and open or you might be unconsciously turning love away. The great thing about meeting people in a yoga or rock climbing class is that you can see how fit they are, their skill level and whether their health meets your standards. Recognizing your core values is an important part of meeting someone you will resonate with and be comfortable with over time. Taking classes after a breakup can help you move on and take
your mind off your pain.

4. Go to church. Finding a church that supports your faith and attend regularly. Churches have socials and mingle groups after church. Stay, have a donut and coffee after church and smile. The more friendly you appear, the more likely someone will sit down next to you to share your table or pew.

5. Get your car detailed. Men who take excellent care of their cars go to high-end car washes that take care of the details. While waiting for your car, there will be plenty of men to talk to while looking at cards in the gift shop on luxurious leather sofas or waiting outside in the beautiful weather.

6. Get dancing. Community events, dance coalitions, and monthly dances are happening in your community. Line dancing is a fun way to spend an evening and dance with a variety of different partners. Meetup has a plethora of events where you can learn to tango, salsa or swing dance.

Dancing is a fun way to get your body moving and meet lots of different people to choose from. In Boulder, Colorado I used to go to the Avalon's Friday night event. I had a smile on my face all night and danced with about forty different partners. Sometimes there might be live music brings a lively element to the evening.

7. Meetup.com is a great place to find events and groups that interest you. I just spent the past two hours perusing and signing up for 10 very different events. It's easy and you have ultimate control of how far you travel to meet new eligible men. From cuddle parties, meditation groups, hiking, dance, spiritual groups there is something for everyone. You won't meet anyone staying at home. Make this year the one when you meet your One!

8. Go grocery shopping. We spend hours of our life perusing the shelves of the grocery store. I always make my shopping experience interactive. I ask questions of other shoppers and sales clerks. Get in the habit of connecting with others with your eyes and looking around while shopping, it will help you to get out of fear of talking to new people. I meet people filling up water jugs at the reverse osmosis machine at my local gas station. Keep your head up and look your best, you never know when love might find you.

You know you won't meet anyone sitting at home on your couch watching television, or on FaceBook. Finding love might take some effort, then again, it could happen just by you showing up at the grocery store. If you are ready to find love, take my course starting February 1st, that will clear all your blocks to receiving the love you so deserve. Get out and put a smile on your face and do the following mantra:
