How Do You Know When You Are Acting With Love?

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Working with women and men struggling with love, it is easy to define what love isn't. This article will give you the understanding of what it means to love another.

What Love Is Not

  1. cruel
  2. mean-spirited
  3. jealous
  4. abusive
  5. intentionally hurtful
  6. uncaring
  7. lacking compassion
  8. unsympathetic
  9. unkind

Why Relationships Fail

Sacredness is part of a loving relationship. Complaining about your partner to someone else diminishes the sacredness between you. Instead, lift your partner up with your thoughts, focusing on their strengths rather than their weaknesses. Everyone has flaws and faults; love is about accepting them as they are with all their imperfections and loving them anyway.

Every relationship has its challenges. Being supportive rather than derisive will keep you bonded through those difficulties and allow you to grow stronger as a couple. When a storm arises and it will, you will have the foundation to weather the storm together.

Two Phrases That Show You Are Truly Loving

Love is when you choose to be at your best when the other person is not at their best. Rev. Wintley Phipps

Love is when what you want is never important, but when the other person's needs and wants are always paramount. That is what true love is. Rev. Wintley Phipps

Reverend Wintley Phipps has been happily married for 39 years. He has been on Oprah Winfrey's Super Soul Sundays multiple times.

Case Study:

Two of my clients have been working with me for several years. They have weathered the storms of life, raising two children and running two households. Now they are working together to support her breast cancer healing through natural means using Gerson Therapy. The root cause of cancer is deep hurt, longstanding resentment eating away at the self. Unless the root cause is healed cancer, no matter how it is eliminated will return, because the cause remains.

Breast cancer has created challenges for the two of them. However, they have leaned on each other, focusing on each other's needs compassionately. When one is feeling down, the other lifts them up. Love is about lifting up the other when they are down. Compassion, understanding, caring and mutual support is all part of a loving relationship.

Sexual Desire Is Sacred

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

I have been in the spiritual community for over 30 years. During that time I have run into men and women who felt that they were closer to God when they were not having sex. I know women who deny their men pleasure for reasons unknown to even them. Sex is sacred. Sex is our God-given right. Sexual desire is part of our human experience. Sexual expression whether with another or ourselves is not only natural, but loving. Expressing our sexuality is not only normal, natural and healthy, it is the core of who we are.

I am familiar with the OM Meditation which uses female sacred sexual energy and puts it on a timer. 15 minutes is all you get to get charged up while your partner stimulates your clitoris (or you self stimulate) with his or her fingers. You can purchase a video which will teach you how to stimulate yourself for $29.00. You only get 15 minutes, not 16, not 20 and then you are left hanging.

It is my humble opinion, that this meditation further perpetuates the lack of orgasm that most women have historically been missing out on for hundreds if not thousands of years. Ready, set go! People are even certified and trained to teach this torturous masturbation with no happy ending. You are are  on the clock. "GO! You have 13 minutes to get turned on and maybe get close to having an orgasm!" A timed sexual experience is not sacred.

The one thing that they do suggest is that you masturbate every day for 28 days. This is not a purpose driven masturbation. You only raise your energy to stimulate yourself to the point of being aroused, then stop. The one advantage of this is that it will raise your libido. So will masturbating through to orgasm. Do the same thing every day, for 28 days and you might want to bite someone's head off!

How Would You Do?

See what you can do when your partner puts the timer on and attempts to stimulate you in 15 minutes. Men might have no problem, for women whose mind needs to be completely focused on the task at hand will have a great deal of difficulty.

Ask a child to eat his vegetables and put the timer on. Or maybe, "Do your homework, you have 15 minutes?" How would you do? Could you function? Could you perform? It has been scientifically proven that people taking tests that are timed will not perform at their peak, because they are under pressure. Putting someone on the clock to reach their peak, causes pressure that is unnecessary.

How Can Sex Be More Sacred?

Sacredness is breathing in the moment now. Experiencing all life has to offer in this moment. Being completely present in each breath. Walking outside, focusing on the beauty of the fresh air, the perfect clouds, the beautiful flowers and the heady scent that they send to your nostrils. It is seeing a rabbit in it's natural environment run and hide. It is a newborn babe breathing his first breath. It is in the smile of our Beloved. Sacredness is living in this perfect moment now.

Allowing yourself to feel each moment fully. Looking into your lover's eyes. Smiling and breathing in their scent. Feeling the tingle of their touch, as their fingers cup your face in caress. The feel of their soft lips on your mouth. That is sacred. Allowing yourself to experience it slowly, reverently, without rushing to orgasm. Breathing them in, slowly, awakening all your senses.

Sacredness could begin with a cleansing shower or bathing together. Talking with one another about your day. Massaging each other's feet. Holding hands while you walk to your car after dinner. Smiling as your door is reverently opened for you. Sacredness is in each breath that you breathe.

Having a timed sexual experience takes you out of the moment and focuses on the impending DING of the timer in the near future, "How much more time do I have?" Sex should not be rushed.

Things I Don't Understand - My Rant

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

What goes around comes around. What goes in must come out. What goes up must come down. Styles come and they go, but there are some styles, I just don't get. What about exposing your drawers is nice, attractive or respectable? Absolutely nothing! I don't understand why men think that shuffling along the street with their genes around their ankles is manly, sexy or even interesting. I just don't get it! Seeing someone's underwear AND butt crack does not turn me on. I may be a thrill seeker, but this is one thing I find anything butt thrilling!

I live in California. I have lived around the world in foreign countries and travelled a great deal. California Walmart is certainly the land of what not to wear. I have seen more boobage in the 20 months I have lived here than I have seen in all my years on earth. I am not sure what women think is alluring about
exposing their breasts while they shop? I just don't get it. When you expose yourself to the world, what are you leaving as sacred with your partner in the bedroom? Absolutely NOTHING! I just don't get it!

When did underwear become outerwear?

The other thing I don't get is why women think it is attractive, appealing or even sexy to show off their undergarments. If your underwear is being shown to the world, how can undressing be a turn on to your partner? Some things need to be sacred. Our bodies are sacred. When we expose our nakedness, our underwear and our cracks to the world, we show our disrespect for ourselves.

Sexy Is Good

Feeling sexy is good. Feeling sexy is healthy. It shows that you have a good body image.  What is happening today, however shows a complete lack of self esteem, and self respect. When you love and respect yourself, you keep your body sacred. You revere yourself and your body. You treat your body as if it was your temple, because it is. You treat it with respect by eating healthy foods and covering yourself up when in public. Exposing your half naked body to the world while you shop shows the opposite. You don't care. You don't care about yourself and you feel filled with self loathing. When you respect yourself, you know where the limits are. You know what is too much and what is just enough.

Appropriate Attire

There is a time and a place for beach attire. The beach! There is a time and a place to expose your thong underwear - in the bedroom! Not in a public place. If you are practically naked in public, there is no sanctity in your relationship. There is no reverence for yourself. Nothing is kept private. Sex is a private matter. Exposing your naked body in public, keeps your private life and sex out for the world to see. Sex is sacred. Your body is sacred. You are sacred.

I wrote Orgasm For Life to bring the sacredness back in sex. I wrote Orgasm For Life because we have extremes today in our world. We have people exposing themselves in public places and married couples not having sex. People that have taken vows to love and honor each other are not. What is loving about that? NOTHING!

What makes me sad is the disrespect that is being shown of ourselves in the world. When we expose ourselves in public we disrespect our bodies, ourselves and all those we meet. Life is sacred. Living life from a higher level means treating yourself and others with respect. Revering your body and your partner's body. Loving yourself, no matter how big or small you are. Acceptance of self - all of you, is what unconditional love is all about. The attention you are seeking walking around half naked only shows the pain you feel inside. It shows how angry you are with your life and how you feel. The acceptance and validation you are seeking needs to come from within. It comes from lovingly accepting who you are.
