Forgiveness Can Save Your Life!
By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters
Depression and Anxiety Help NOW!Health Benefits of Forgiveness:
Take my FREE QUIZ HERE
Forgiveness is one of the simplest things but most profound for healing, letting go of pain, suffering and yes DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, and SERIOUS ILLNESS.
I have had many clients resist the power of forgiveness because they were hanging onto hate for their exes behavior. Whether you are forgiving those who molested, abused or hurt you it doesn't excuse the behavior of the other person. Those things really happened. Forgiveness is for YOU!
Before I forgave everyone and I mean everyone, I lived in angst, hate, judgment, and illness. After forgiving everyone my health and mood improved. Depression mysteriously lifted. True I also began to love myself at the same time. Forgiveness is powerful.
Hanging onto resentment, anger, hate keeps our body in a state that creates acidity where illness and cancer can grow. Case in point, before I forgave everyone I had Fibromyalgia, Epstein Barr (auto-immune disease) tumors, depression, shame, guilt, anxiety, sinus infections, bladder infections a lot of self-hatred and regret.
Depression and Anxiety Help NOW!Health Benefits of Forgiveness:
- Reduced stress
- boosted immune system
- relationships improve
- Less triggered
- Feel Happier and lighter

How To Shift Anxiety Depression and Insomnia With Essential Oils
By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters
Millions of people suffer from depression, insomnia, and anxiety. Getting enough deep sleep each night is imperative to produce serotonin. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that helps relay signals from one area of the brain to another.
The serotonin used by the brain must be produced in the brain. Without sufficient sleep, a study in the Journal of Medicine explains that anxiety and depression often result.
Serotonin is manufactured in the brain, however, most people are unaware that 90% of the serotonin in the body is in the digestive tract and blood platelets.
Tryptophan is an essential amino acid that is required to synthesize serotonin in the brain. Twenty amino acids are required for protein synthesis. Eleven amino acids can be synthesized by the body, nine must be obtained by the diet. Turkey is one source of tryptophan which can lead to drowsiness after a big Thanksgiving dinner.
What Does Serotonin Do?
Adequate amounts of serotonin stabilize moods and are responsible for feelings of well-being. Serotonin creates:
- Stable moods
- Appetite control - reducing appetite
- Feelings of happiness, contentment, relaxation
- Focus or concentration
- Healthy libido
- Controls anxiety and depression
- Prevention of premenstrual syndrome
- Prevention of headaches
- Positive feelings, thoughts, and self-esteem
- Promoting positive thinking and self-esteem
Eating sweets or sugary foods like soda, ice cream or consuming high fructose, sugary foods, and cereals deplete the healthy biome and cause depression and lower the immune system. Only 3.5 ounces can suppress your immune system by 50%. Sugary foods also contribute to inflammation, candida, joint pain, and arthritis. Watch my YouTube video about toxic sugar.
What is a biome, you ask? A naturally occurring community of flora and fauna that comprise a major habitat. A deficiency of serotonin is one of the biggest reasons people suffer from depression. How do I know? I had high levels of stress post-divorce returning to work after nine years of being a stay-at-home mom.
I experienced profound guilt from taking my children out of their $600,000 beautiful childhood home, into a two bedroom apartment. Returning to work and having to put my two young boys (now 35 and 33 respectively) in YMCA summer camp created untold stress, worry, and anxiety.
I suffered from insomnia, worry, anxiety and depression as a result. I used 5htp and vitamin B6 in small amounts together to boost serotonin levels, took herbal supplements and used essential oils. My research and experience taught me better ways to combat stress depression, anxiety to be healthy and happy. Meditation, a healthy diet and exercise is an important part of my daily routine, along with essential oils. I recommend you do your research before taking anything.
A healthy diet with daily exercise, meditation and relaxation will help to promote positive feelings along with getting sufficient sleep. For those who have insomnia, a catch-22 situation occurs. You can't sleep, which causes anxiety and depression because you aren't producing enough serotonin and you find yourself having difficulty going to bed at the same time, for fear that you won't sleep.

Bedrooms are for two things only; sex and sleep. I recommend no television, cells phones or computers in the bedroom. Shut off the computer two hours or more before bedtime so that your mind has time to shut down and get out of work mode. Do not text during the night. Keep your phone in another room on silent while you sleep. Use the following essential oils to promote restful sleep, calmness, and harmony in the mind-body.
Therapeutic Grade Essential oils that are of the highest quality have the biggest effect on mood and the body. I have done my research and love DoTerra essential oils. Why? They are the purest of pure, unadulterated oils and Therapeutic Grade. DoTerra gives back to the community in life-sustaining ways supporting and rebuilding impoverished Nepal; and were voted the 2016 International Company of The Year.
Whether we realize it or not our entire lives are affected by smell. Scents can be comforting and relaxing. Essential oils can raise your vibration, ease stress and lift your spirits. Smells bring back memories. Lilacs for me remind me of elementary school
My mother would have huge bouquets of freshly cut lilacs in soft lavender and white in a huge vase. No matter where I smell the scent of lilacs I become that little girl of 7 or 8 sitting at our dining room table eating my sandwich or bowl of freshly made soup in Ontario. Huffington Post has a great article about our olfactory response and scents.
1. Roman Chamomile
Chamomile is a popular ingredient in candles, tea and many aromatherapy products. It’s one of the best herbs for alleviating stress and promoting relaxation. Research has shown that inhaling chamomile vapors using chamomile oil is a natural remedy for both anxiety and depression. Chamomile soothes the mind and relaxes the body to promote a better night’s rest. If you’re struggling with insomnia, try applying a few drops of roman chamomile oil to the bottom of your feet before bed. You can also add a few drops to your shampoo, conditioner or skin moisturizer.
2. Lavender

Lavender has been used for centuries for a variety of uses including an antiseptic, massage oil, excellent for the blemishes as well as calming and relaxing oil on the soles of the feet, or pillows. Lavender can be used to cook with, or taken internally to calm anxious feelings.
I use lavender on the back of my neck around my ears and drop several drops into an Epsom salts bath to relax and unwind. The gorgeous scent of lavender is soothing and aids with sleep. Add a few drops to your linen closet or clothes closet as well. Lavender is my favorite oil to diffuse into my entire home, calming my animals as well as myself.
4. Bergamot
Bergamot oil is a lovely citrusy scent that inspires the brain, gives you clarity and is known for being an antidepressant, stimulating the circulation and feelings of joy and increased energy.
When I am writing I use Bergamot to excite my brain to elicit creativity. A study in 2011 paired Bergamot essential oil with lavender essential oil. Both help to treat depression. The participants experienced relaxation, calmness, greater focus, and alertness. Rub Bergamot on the soles of your feet, inhale the beautiful aroma as well. Bergamot is found in Earl Grey tea. It improves blood circulation and stimulates feelings of joy and energy.

5. Wild Orange
Traveling through the orange groves of Valencia California, the light fragrance of orange blossoms is calming and soothing. The essential oil of Orange essential oil naturally helps to reduce anxiety to promote a better night’s sleep. This fresh citrus fragrance of the essential oil Wild Orange uplifts feelings of sorrow and depression. Use orange oil at night, place a few drops on your stomach before drifting off to sleep. Using a carrier oil of coconut creates a soothing effect, so moisturize your skin before bed to relieve insomnia and anxiety.
6. Ylang Ylang
Ylang Ylang has been used for weddings and religious ceremonies for centuries. Its floral scent has many uses including warding off feelings of jealousy, anger, and low self-esteem. Ylang Ylang is a natural remedy for depression, warding off negative emotions that often surface when we are depressed.
Ylang Ylang is a wonderful essential oil for women to use to increase libido, enhancing confidence and improving mood. It is mildly sedative, lowers stress levels and helps aid relaxation. Massage into skin or diffuse into the room.
7. Vetiver
Vetiver is of the grass family. It provides an exotic fragrance and grounding abilities to soothe and calm. Vetiver is an excellent essential oil to use for massaging. It is excellent for concentration and ADHD. An ancient Ayurvedic oil used for massaging brides to be, it was found to heal the emotional body from within.
Dr. Axe provides great detail on the many uses of this versatile and little known essential oil.
8. Blends:
Serenity Restful Blend evaporates your worries with the tranquil aroma of calming Roman Chamomile, soothing Ylang Ylang, lavender, Hawaiian Sandalwood. This Serenity blend releases anxiety, calming tension and stress.
Serenity softgels are a way to take these essential oils orally. You will sleep better and wake rested and feeling peaceful.
Serenity, Balance, and Lavender together make a great combination.
Beautifully blended, this fresh woody, grounding essential oil provides a sense of calm and wellbeing. Balance blend combines Blue Tansy, Ho Wood, Spruce, Roman Chamomile and Frankincense to promote tranquility and relaxation. Massage Balance into your feet to begin your day, diffuse in your car on trips with people you want to be speaking with when you arrive.
A deliciously fresh blend of mandarin, grapefruit, Bergamot, Wild orange, clementine with a hint of vanilla. Fresh uplifting and invigorating. Excellent for lifting your mood and reducing stress. A few drops of Citrus Bliss in water makes a gentle yet fragrant cleaning agent that is safe for pets, children and those with sensitive noses.
Elevate - Joyful Blend

| Osmanthus (Tea Olive in Georgia) |
The perfect essential oil to lift your mood and energize you. This gorgeous blend contains my most favorite earthly fragrance - Osmanthus as well as Lavender, Lavindin, Melissa, Ylang Ylang, Tangerine, Elemi, Hawaiian Sandalwood, and Lemon Myrtle. Elevate is a unique blend that promotes a positive mood and feelings of confidence. I believe that Osmanthus is the most beautiful fragrance. It reminds me of my time as a landscape professional in Georgia. I would round a corner and wonder where is that ethereal fragrance coming from? Each of the combined essential oils is uplifting creating the perfect way to raise your spirits when feeling down, challenged or stressed.
Cheer Touch For Your Heart
I take my essential oils with me in my purse and use them on the go. I love the Cheer touch whenever I need a little boost for my heart. Blend on the back of your neck, upwards to your chin with the roll on touch applicator. Cheer is a great mood booster for children that have had a bad day or are challenged with school or friends.

Do You Complain and Wonder Why You Aren't Happy?
By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters
It is interesting that we are living in the 21st Century with the highest level of technology yet so many people are depressed and unhappy. If you wonder why you are so unhappy with your life, perhaps you are like my daughter. Maybe you are angry that things didn't go the way you planned. Maybe just maybe you feel that your life sucks.
The following is a true story.
Whether you want love, success or money, there is one big SECRET to having what you desire.
It isn't luck.
It isn't being born with a silver spoon in your mouth.
The way to have everything you want is governed by
ONE THING.
In my life, I have manifested houses, cars, love, marriage, and even a special baby girl when I was told I couldn't have any more children. I have manifested places to stay for free in one of the most sought after vacation spots in the United States. I have manifested trips to Bali Indonesia out of thin air. Each year, my income has doubled, and I am grateful to my clients for all that they have given to me.
Gratitude is what keeps the energy flowing and the good on its way to you. JEM
If you complain about your spouse or partner, you will lose the love you have. Complaining about your spouse leads to divorce. For each one negative comment you make to your partner, it takes ten positive comments to make up for the negative. Instead, bless your spouse. Count the blessings you have and all their wonderful qualities.
Only when we have loving thoughts do we receive and feel love. JEM
If you complain, bitch, or moan about your job you will not give your all and might end up being fired, or being made redundant.
If you complain about your home, you might lose that too.
Complaining is one of the most derisive things that we can do. Complaining illustrates a lack. Complaining brings more negative circumstances to you faster than anything. Complaining ruins luck. Complaining steals your magic.
Sure, it's easy to complain. Each of us has plenty to complain about. When we complain though the lack that we are experiencing is GRATITUDE.
Without gratitude, we are missing the magic sauce. Gratitude is the one thing that will bring you love, when you have none. Gratitude will have a client or check show up when you need it most. Gratitude creates magic in all areas of our lives.
Gratitude will turn your negativity into love. JEM

Ariel with her father, Rich
I'll share a personal story with you to illustrate my point. If you have been following me for a while, you already know that my ex-husband died in 2012. Yes, I predicted his death and wasn't the least bit happy when it happened. Since Rich left the planet, my daughter who is now twenty, has been experiencing a great deal of anger. She is outraged that her father died.
While she has been angry that her father died and angry that I said negative things about him before I woke up, I have been supporting her, helping her wherever I could. I paid phone bills, bought her clothes and paid rent when she didn't have the money for it. I drove up to North Dakota to retrieve Rich's belongings and drive his Ford F 150 pickup back for my daughter to have.
During the time, she drove her father's truck, all she did was complain about how much it cost to fill the truck up and not being able to drive in the snow. She couldn't afford to drive the truck was
her common refrain. Last year, while in Colorado, I manifested a car for her, exactly what she wanted. You guessed it, she complained about that car too.
She complained about not being able to drive in the snow. She needed snow tires. My comment here is that I drove for a year in Colorado weather without snow tires in my little Honda and made it through the winter just fine.
While I was visiting a client in Denver this past December, he gave me two snow tires as a Christmas gift and offered to install them on my car. I was very grateful to him for the lovely gift and asked if he wouldn't mind giving them to my daughter instead. I had just purchased two all weather tires for my car and felt very comfortable with them.
Almost every time I spoke to Ariel she mentioned how her car really needed snow tires. I felt my daughter really needed them more than I did. He kindly allowed me to retrieve my daughter's car and the following day he installed the snow tires on her Toyota. I felt sure Ariel would be pleased that she finally got what she wanted.
Within a week of receiving the tires, she got a flat. She called me looking for help on the side of the road nearly in hysterics. She didn't know what to do as she was on her break from work. I was in Denver at the time, but too far to help her get to a tire store. She reminded me that this was her fourth flat tire in a year.
Our car is symbolic of our physical body. Tires are symbolic of our feet. She asked me why she has had so many flat tires. I remarked carefully that Source lets us know when we haven't learned our lesson because we keep repeating it, kind of like in the movie with Bill Murray, Ground Hog Day.
The fact that Ariel had four flat tires was because she was being shown she was on the wrong path. She was either working in the wrong line of work, or in the wrong relationship. Her focus was not on gratitude for what she had, but rather stress and worry about what she didn't have.
Where we walk is indicative of our journey. If we continue to walk in a direction that doesn't support our soul's journey, we will find all kinds of evidence; hence the four flat tires.
Ariel was given a truck for free that she complained about. I managed to get her a car - that she didn't have to pay for and all she did was complain about it. My darling daughter wasn't expressing gratitude for what she was given. She was complaining instead. Her
gifts were taken from her in some ways. The car wasn't driveable. More money had to be spent to make it driveable. Even when she was given the very thing she asked for - SNOW TIRES, she complained. The gift was taken away - with a flat tire.
If you have a relationship and all you do is complain about him or her, your love will be taken away.
If you want a relationship and all you do is complain about not having one, you won't find love.
If you complain about your job, clients or work you will find that you won't give your all, to your work, your negative complaining attitude will cause more negative circumstances like flat tires and problems, your income will diminish or shrink or completely disappear because you aren't grateful for what you have.
Everything that we have is a gift. Our health is a gift. Our life is a gift. If you complain about your body, your face, your weight you are not grateful for your life or health. Complaining about your body and health will decrease your vitality. People who are grateful live seven years longer than people who are not.
The SECRET SAUCE is Gratitude.
Gratitude is what keeps the energy flowing and the good on its way to you. JEM
Only when we have loving thoughts do we receive and feel love. JEM
Without gratitude, we are missing the magic sauce. Gratitude is the one thing that will bring you love, when you have none. Gratitude will have a client or check show up when you need it most. Gratitude creates magic in all areas of our lives.

12 Signs You May Be Depressed
By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters
What Can You Do?
Cognitive Therapy has been shown to work at least as well if not better than anti-depressants as it treats the root cause, rather than providing a band-aid that masks symptoms. The work I do with clients uses Cognitive Therapy in combination with energy clearing to lift the root cause or pattern, shift low-self-esteem and support you in feeling better about yourself and your life. The combination has remedied those with severe depression as well as those with suicidal tendencies.
Testimonial About A Suicidal Client Cured!
Are you ready to find happiness and love? Are you certain that your life can be better, happier and more fulfilling but you don't know how to get out of your way?
E-mail Jennifer for a private discovery session to find out if her work is a good fit for you. Jennifer works with women to build confidence, healthy boundaries, self-esteem and step into their innate power.
Everyone experiences sadness from time-to-time. Depression is very different than sadness as it is more severe, usually accompanied by low self-esteem, loss of interest in activities that would normally be enjoyable, low energy and pain for no reason. Depression is characterized by dark or low moods for more than two weeks. Depression affects home, family, work and social functioning.
Women experience depression twice as often as men.
Many of us experience depression and are unaware of why we feel so bad. I experienced chronic depression for over twenty years without being diagnosed. My mother pooh-poohed that I was depressed because I functioned, though not very effectively in my life. I was irritable, reactive and even aggressive with others. I lost interest in sex, had insomnia I "managed my insomnia" with two capsules of Benadryl a night. I lived life in a fog of fatigue, illness, aches pains and memory loss.
What Causes Depression
The medical profession admits to not knowing where depression begins. From my personal perspective, I found that depression is due to a combination of unbalanced hormones, lack of serotonin and repressed anger that we are unable to express at an early age.
Sexual molestation, rape and not being loved, validated or confirmed by our parents in positive ways also contributes to depression. Divorce, break-ups and feeling unloved and lonely can also add to our burden of pain and suffering. Our thoughts become increasingly negative which impacts our stress levels adding to the downward spiral of emotions.
We are left holding a bag of deep-seated repressed resentment and anger from being a "good girl" or "good boy" for our parents.
The stored emotions begin to bubble up when they are unprocessed. Our body will begin to show signs of struggle with illnesses like diabetes, cancer or arthritis. The longer that our trapped emotions stay in our body, the more profound the depression and physical body pain becomes. PTSD is another form of suppressed emotion with a side of depression.

The cause of depression is a combination of genetic, environmental and psychological factors. Approximately 40% of the risk for depression is related to genetics. Other factors such as major life changes, chronic illness, certain medications and substance abuse.
Cognitive behavior therapy and interpersonal therapy can help. Medications seem to work better in cases where severe depression is present. Taking medications without doing some form of therapy, energy work or healing will not cure the depression.
Medication and Affects:
Medication for depression is not a cure all. Medication places a band-aid over the issues and further suppresses the original cause - emotions that have not been experienced and expressed.
I was given Prozac for my depression and fell asleep at the wheel driving to work repeatedly. When I drove three exits past where I worked, I called my doctor that day and said, "I'm done with Prozac!" He informed me it was dangerous to go off the drug cold turkey. My response was, "Not as dangerous as driving three exits past my work without knowing how I got there." I never took another prescription for depression or anxiety (except an occasional antibiotic).
I cured myself through cognitive therapy and energy healing which I now do for my clients.

- negative thinking that you can't stop
- irritability
- increased aggressive behavior
- memory and recall issues
- pain without a reason
- loss of interest in life, social activities
- hearing voices in your head that aren't yours
- you might even feel a little crazy (and how I hate the expression "cray cray!"
- clutter in your car, home, closets and office
Given the peak onset of depression is 25 to 44 years of age, hormones play a significant role in depression in women.
Different Types of Depression
Yes, there are different types of depression from Pre-menstrual, Post Partum Depression, Perimenopause, Menopause, Bi-Polar and Borderline Personality Disorder.

She has done several clearings for me in the past, I knew she was the real deal and my intuition screamed to me, that she was the perfect person to help when my sister began to struggle with severe depression to the point of becoming suicidal.
A month had gone by and my sibling was like a shell of her former self. She was not eating, barely sleeping, and had not been able to work at all. I was able to convince her that an energy clearing would be beneficial for her.
Jennifer had just returned home from travel right before I contacted her, but she dropped everything to help us within 10 minutes of my reaching out to her. Jennifer had a ton of insight into my sisters' personality and the origins of her struggle, yet half-way through my sister felt she couldn't continue with the clearing, and instead Jennifer continued with me on the phone. Because of this I was a bit skeptical as to whether it would work for her, but I kid you not. Four days later I contacted my sister and she was at Disney with her kid, about to "get some lunch" I couldn't even believe it worked that effectively and within such a short period of time.
Since the clearing, my sister has returned to work and although things are not perfect she has returned to her normal, spunky, intelligent, funny, wise, self.
I thank Jennifer tremendously. She has a true gift, a huge kind heart, and has been an enormous blessing to myself and my family. I would highly recommend her services to anyone and everyone. She's that good!

How To Love Yourself Fearlessly Everyday
By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters
5. Stop judging. Judging yourself for your thoughts, feelings or the way you look disempowers you. Self-approval is paramount for
good self-esteem. Be okay with how you feel rather than condemning yourself for feeling or thinking a certain way.

You, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection. ~ Buddha
When we love ourselves everything in our lives becomes easier. Our relationships improve, we become infinitely more happy, successful and have ease in our life. Filling your personal love tank with our love and acceptance will change our lives for the better faster than any amount of money or success will. Until we love ourselves, we won't feel it when another person does.
Be patient with yourself. You didn't get here overnight. Loving the self is a daily practice. These 21 steps will provide a guide along your path of self-love. Not sure if you love yourself?
1. Accept yourself the way you are. Loving acceptance means to stop trying to twist yourself around to be something you are not. Recognize you were created the way you are for a reason.
2. Be authentic. Authenticity means that you are truly yourself. Being a chameleon attempting to be what we think another person expects us to be reduces our personal power and drains our energy. Being something other than what you are also will create anxiety. When you are the same with your doctor as you are with the cashier at the grocery store and the homeless person on the street you are authentic. Authenticity gives you strength.
3. Stop comparing. There is no one else like you. When we compare ourselves with another, we feel weak, negative and are often filled with self-hatred. What another person thinks of you isn't your concern. Dress for yourself. When you feel good about your others, feel it.
4. Validate yourself. Looking for approval from others like our parents, teachers, bosses, clients or strangers reduces our personal power. Instead give value to yourself. When you feel bad, allow yourself to do so, it's okay. Don't allow another person to tell you how you should feel about a given situation. You are the only one that knows how you feel.
5. Stop judging. Judging yourself for your thoughts, feelings or the way you look disempowers you. Self-approval is paramount for good self-esteem. Be okay with how you feel rather than condemning yourself for feeling or thinking a certain way.
How Your Thoughts Create Disease
6. Trust yourself. Trusting your inner guidance and listening to your intuition is empowering. The more you trust yourself, the more personal power you will have, the stronger you feel. Self-doubt is one of the biggest issues people have that don't love themselves. If you don't trust yourself, you end up attracting people who lie, cheat and will steal from you.
7. Nurture yourself. Feeding your soul through activities that feel good, like taking a walk out in nature, a hot bath, meditating, resting when you need to will power you up and soothe you when you feel bad.
8. Allow yourself to feel. Attempting to run away from feelings or emotions will cause you further suffering and pain. Feel what you are feeling fully. Sit with your feelings and breathe deeply. The feelings will pass very soon. Attempting to run away suppresses emotions causes us to feel numb and health issues down the road. A big part of awakening is feeling our emotions fully, rather than running away from them.
9. Be grateful for the big and small things in life. One of the first things I did was to say, "Thank you for my life, " each morning upon awakening. When we are grateful to be alive, we begin to recognize that every day is a gift, and there are many other things we have to be grateful for. Gratitude opens our heart and raises our vibration.
10. Make a commitment to physical health. Most people don't commit to being healthy, vibrantly alive and feeling good about life. When you make a personal commitment to yourself, you begin to focus on healthier choices for foods, reducing alcohol, drugs, and exercise for our well-being. Remember your body is sacred. Making a personal commitment to you is paramount for happiness and well-being.
11. Respect yourself. Self-respect is palpable. When we respect ourselves, we make better decisions about what is good for us, who we want in our lives and what we will and won't tolerate. When we lack self-respect others, disrespect us as well.
12. Know that you are worthy. Most people that don't love themselves feel unworthy. Unworthiness is one of the first things I clear in a session. When the programs, beliefs, and emotion of unworthiness is cleared, it becomes far easier to recognize self-worth.
13. Know that you are lovable. When we don't love ourselves, we feel unlovable. Your soul essence is love. You wouldn't be here if you didn't have a purpose or reason. You have much to give the world. You are already loved.
14. Speak your truth. Staying mute about how you feel is disempowering. Practice saying what is true for you with compassion towards yourself and others.
15. Take action where you need to. Do what you know needs to be done, without delay. Getting things done helps you feel successful and empowered. Unpack that suitcase! Put away those dishes! Improve the elements of your life that you can. Know what you have control of (yourself) rather than others.
16. Focus on you rather than what others are doing. Most of us focus on what others are doing when we don't feel good about ourselves and our life, instead look inside. Focus on you. Ask yourself questions: "How does this make me feel?" "How am I being triggered by what this person is saying to me?" "What event does this remind me of from my past?" Asking yourself questions raises our awareness making us a witness in our lives which is powerful for healing the past.
17. Stop trying to fix or change others. When we focus on ourselves (number 16 above) we stop trying to change others. We have no control over another person. Attempting to fix or change others is an avoidance of ourselves.
18. Be gentle and loving with yourself. Notice what is good rather than what is wrong with you. Wherever you focus your attention grows. Emphasize your positive traits and turn your attention away from what you feel needs to be fixed.
18. Stop worrying. Worry is a waste of time and energy. Worry causes anxiety. You are okay as you are. Things always have a way of working out for the best. Worrying doesn't make anything better.
19. Forgive. Forgive yourself for your past choices rather than continue to beat yourself up. There is no right or wrong. There is no such thing as failure, only gifts, and lessons. Recognize the lesson and move on.
20. Be fearless. Don't be afraid to be yourself. People will love you for being true to you.
21. Be accountable. Our word is all we have. Taking responsibility for our words, actions and deeds leads to strong character and self-respect. We feel guilt and shame when we make excuses. When we take responsibility for ourselves, our health, happiness and our choices we step into our personal power. Making excuses for yourself is disempowering and makes you a victim. Life isn't happening to you, it is happening FOR YOU!
