Breaking Societies Rules Falling In Love With A Younger Man

Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Hugh Jackman and wife Deb 13 year age gap

When it comes to love, there are no rules for who you fall in love with. We all have ideas of who we "should" have as our partner. Society has rules for what is accepted and what is not. Coupling with another within five years of your age is the accepted norm. What if you meet someone much younger than yourself and find a connection? What then? What if expanding your horizons and including a larger date range on your profile brings you a man fifteen years younger than you?

We have heard hundreds of stories about men in May-December romances easily accepted by society. In fact, men are touted as being studs for attaining a beautiful woman much younger than themselves. It takes a strong woman that recognizes her value and can put aside any insecurities about aging to date a much younger man.

Many women today are more vibrantly alive and fit than men 20 years their junior. We fall in love with the person, not their age. Women outlive their men by an average of five years. Many men in their 50's and 60's have health issues. Our judgments about what is right or wrong for us can get in our way. We might even wonder, "What will people think?"

There have been great love stories in history where an older powerful woman fell in love with a man fifteen years younger than herself. The story of Kadijah and the Prophet Muhammad is one such story. Kadijah was 40 and Muhammad was 25 when they met and fell in love. Other May-December loves are Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborah-Lee Furness have been married for 16 years and have a 13 year age gap. Hugh says, "I have a career, but Deb and my children are who I live for." Susan Sarandon and Tim Hutton had a 20-year union with a 12 year age gap. Megan Mullaly and Nick Offerman met when Megan was 42, Nick was 30. Twelve years, two dogs and a rock solid marriage Nick has said, "If I ever got botox he would divorce me."

We Have To Get Out Of Our Own Way

Love knows no bounds. Love isn't dependent on age or race. We fal in love with another's soul essence and qualities. When we focus on our age we limit ourselves. We also limit what The Universe can bring us. Finding someone who's beliefs match ours, who is kind, patient, loving and compassionate is much more important than a person's age.

Focus On Your Value

If we focus on how old we are rather than how we feel, we limit ourselves. If we focus on how many wrinkles we have, rather than what we have to offer, we limit ourselves. Women are beautiful until they stop taking care of themselves and that can happen at any age. Age doesn't determine how we take care of ourselves.

Our internal essence is what matters the most. As we age we become more loving, accepting and mindful. We have wisdom, compassion and internal beauty as well. The way we love ourselves is reflected in our outer world. Internal beauty lasts forever. Kindness lasts forever. Age has nothing to do with your soul qualities and your value.

We may notice our differences when we look in our mirror. When we love ourselves fearlessly age means nothing. We are confident in who we are. Confidence and authenticity are important parts of a healthy relationship. When we show up already full of love, we are no longer looking for another to complete us. We have much more to give when we are loving, confident and self-accepting.

The sweeter we are the more accepting of ourselves we are the softer those wrinkles become. Everyone ages, we just need to move beyond worrying about how many wrinkles we have and know that who we are is valueable, loving and kind. Those are the qualities
that shine through in a relationship with a younger man. Women who can be authentic, vulnerable, spiritually grounded and confident can be much more meaningful to a younger man who is looking for a woman who has her life together and is not about to play games.

How Healing Yourself Heals Your Relationships

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

For more than half of my life, I was negative, blaming others, especially my mother, for what happened to me during my childhood. I complained about my life and circumstances. I felt unloved and unworthy. I was angry and resentful into my late 30's.

Following is a shortened version of how I found lasting happiness. It is my story of healing and metamorphosis. In 2012, I experienced a profound and life-changing awakening. It changed my life completely. Since that time, I have not felt a moment of fear, unhappiness, depression, loneliness, regret, guilt or shame. I am reprinting this article because it is a holiday and we often have issues with our family members and offspring during this time.

If you are looking for happiness, my story will help you. The key is when we find permanent happiness, our life circumstances, where we live, how much money we have and whether or not we are in a relationship has no bearing at all. None of those things bring you permanent happiness.

My parents worked hard and did the best they could. They provided a great home and food on the table. My mother cooked healthy meals every night of the week. However, the psychological aspect of a positive environment was missing.

My mother and father were products of their home environments. My parents were negative and dysfunctional. The critiqued and judged everyone. They had opinions on everything and were know-it-alls to outsiders. It is no surprise that I was negative and dysfunctional also. My parents were very dependent on one another. My father had an addictive personality. My mother felt unloved and unworthy (she was orphaned at age 5).

When a boyfriend commented on how critical and negative I was, after gathering with a group of his friends, I felt ashamed. It was a big wake-up call for me. It was "normal" for me to be negative. It is what I grew up with. It was "normal" for me to be a victim. It was what I was programmed with. Being a "Know it all" was from our overblown egos an overcompensation for insecurity.

I grew up codependent, negative needy and a victim. I attracted men who disrespected and further victimized me because I did not love myself. I had no idea that the reason I was in all these difficult relationships was because of ME! I had a huge aha moment after my third marriage ended when I downloaded a way to look at all of our relationships and find the commonalities. What a huge wake-up call! I was the common denominator in ALL of my relationships! I stopped blaming the men in my life and everyone else as well.

Our family of origin has a huge impact on our lives. We can continue to use the paradigm we were programmed with, or over-write the programming and create new patterns and grooves in the brain.
2014 with mom in Canada

Over time, I healed myself and forgave my parents for everything. This was a process that I repeated many times. I learned as I went. My self-study helped me find easier and faster ways to overwrite the negative programming. My healing happened over 30 years. Now I have love and compassion for my parents for all they did and taught me.  During my healing, I developed tools that helped give me the insight which allowed me to shift my perspective more rapidly. What I found that helped me, I knew could speed up the healing process for others. I teach my clients and workshop atendees how to use these tools also.

Material Wealth

I married a man who was handsome and intelligent. He had a very good business mind. He was able to create great wealth for our family. We had two beautiful children and a very affluent lifestyle. I had everything I had ever dreamed of materially, yet I felt so lonely and unhappy in my marriage. Though I blamed him for my unhappiness, I later realized I was a part of the problem, rather than the solution.

The material wealth did not make me happy, as I thought it would. In fact, all the wealth emphasized how unhappy I was with my life.

I was shown the contrast by witnessing that there was more to life than money. If money didn't make me happy, and relationships certainly didn't make me happy, I began to turn my focus inward to my emotions and inner turmoil. I learned that our relationships serve to mirror back to us what is going on inside.

Each Modality that helped me, I became certified in.

I began to meditate several times a day. I went to a Hypnotherapist and found how profound the healing was for me and how much better I felt. I wanted to share this with others. I spent thousands of dollars on coursework becoming first a Hypnotherapist in 1998, then course after course to become an energy healer, then I wnet to Bali to study the Akashic Records and became proficient at using my intuitive gifts to hear and get to my client's issues quickly. In 2011, after 22 weeks of study a challenging certification exam, I became certified in life coaching.

When I found a lump in my breast in 2011, I knew I had to do more forgiveness work with my mother. Cancer is all about deep hurt and long-standing resentment. I certainly had been resentful of my mother in the past. Finding breast cancer was a sign that I had more letting go to do on a cellular level. Breast problems are all about
refusing to nurture the self and putting everyone else first. During my codependent years, I certainly did that.  I changed my diet and did deep forgiveness work. I healed the cancer without surgery, chemo, or radiation. I changed my thinking. I loved and nurtured myself even more and forgave everyone.

Travel And Adventure

My healing took me around the world, from Toronto to Maryland, London, England, Atlanta, Georgia, India, Bali, Boulder, Colorado and the desert of California over 30 years.
On the Ganges River at dawn

Early on, I read Louise Hay's book, You Can Heal Your Life. I read Prescription For Nutritional Healing and began to heal my body. I had Fibromyalgia, Epstein Barr, an autoimmune disorder, depression, insomnia, anxiety and mind chatter. I discovered that my negative thoughts were killing me. I began focusing on changing my thought patterns. I focused on the positive. I worked diligently to think and feel positively. I heard for every negative thought, we had to think three positive thoughts to make up for it. I stayed diligent. My depression lifted. I began to sleep better. I felt more positive.

I went to see a hypnotherapist, in Atlanta. When I saw what amazing things Dr. Skillas did for me, I took his $3,500 course, and became certified as a hypnotherapist in 1998. After becoming proficient as a hypnotherapist, and  Neurolinguistic Programming Practitioner I felt that there was something more. I still needed old patterns and beliefs cleared. I had several amazing sessions with an energy healer. I saw the profound effect immediately. I felt lighter, more focused, had more clarity and was infinitely more positive. My fears diminished. I decided to take her course. I went on take the advanced program of study as well. My vibration raised with all my energy clearings. As my vibration became higher, I began to attract more positive situations, people and circumstances into my life.

During my second energy healing course, I heard about Ascension a deep meditation practice that quieted the mind. My mind was filled with chatter. I knew this was for me. This had a great impact
on me. Instead of hearing monkey chatter all the time, my mind was quiet. My quiet mind trickled over into all areas of my life. I was more able to focus, work and sleep. I was thinking more positively. I had stopped blaming everyone for where I was in my life. Now my mind was quiet as well.

My Ascension teachers went to India to become Blessing Givers and trainers at the Oneness University. They taught a course on Oneness. I traveled to Black Mountain, North Carolina to take their course with my friends that took the Spiritual Response Therapy courses with me. I became a Blessing Giver. The Oneness teaching worked on getting us to a place of no-mind. Deepak
Chopra, Tony Robbins and many others have taken the Oneness Deepening course to become awakened.
Part of this involved forgiveness and healing of our relationships with our parents. For us to be healed, we have to heal all the way back to source, our childhood. I was no stranger to forgiveness, however, I had a very profound release when I did the work.

I traveled to India in 2006. I heard all kinds of fearful comments about my travel to India. I ignored what others said, as I knew it was for my highest and best good to go there. Four years later I went to Bali. Both of these places helped to propel me forward and open me up to love and acceptance, deepening my spiritual growth. In Bali, I studied with a Shaman to learn how to access The Akashic Records. I
Bali, Indonesia
visited a Balinese healer there. I loved Bali and India. Both helped unwind me, allowing me to let go of old mental constructs that no longer served me. I began to tap into the flow with my writing. I was able to channel information. Writing became easy for me.

In 2011, I wrote my first book, Odyssey Victim To Victory. This book was about my healing up until 2011. While doing chakra toning, I felt a pop and I had an awakening in 2011, then another in 2012. My life has never been the same. Loving myself, became the fastest way to heal all of my relationships. My compassion for myself brought compassion to others as well. The work I did on myself, translated into help for others struggling with breast cancer, self-worth and love issues. In 2012, I was guided to write a book about sex. I felt this was a departure from the self-love work, however, I was assured this was the path I must take. It took courage to take the leap into the sexual forum. I had plenty of experience, wisdom and understanding about sex and relationships. Orgasm For Life and my new radio show, All You Need Is Love, is a way to help others find the love they are looking for - within them.

I am no longer defined by my past. I recognize that everything that happened in my life was to help me evolve. All the pain, suffering and challenges helped to spur me on to dig deep within myself and unburden myself of all the pain. Instead of avoiding it, I walked through it. Now each day is an unfolding of more joy. I live in the present with a quiet mind. I feel completely content and fulfilled. I knew that my being happy was a step forward toward success in my business and in all areas of my life. The material does not hold the
importance for me it once did. I am happy with me. I am no longer looking for happiness, as it is always inside me. I feel whole, complete and manifest in the moment, helping others do the same. I have recognized that the thoughts we think create our reality. Instead of making closed-ended statements I often ask questions instead. Instead of beating myself up with disparaging and negative comments, I am kind and loving to myself. My thoughts are positive, loving and kind.

Most people when asked, feel that they will be happy when they have a certain amount of money, a relationship, lose weight or are successful. However, this is backward. Being happy will make you much more successful in everything you do including your relationships.

Happiness Facts:

  1. Happy people are more successful. It has been scientifically proven that happy people are 31% more productive in their work. Doctors that are happy have a 19% increase in accuracy
of diagnosis than those who are not happy. Our brain performs better when we are happy, then when we are stressed, neutral or negative.
  2. When we raise the level of positivity in the present, our brains perform better, our creativity is increased, our intelligence rises.
  3. Dopamine floods the brain when you are happy allowing you to adapt to the world in more positive ways. It turns on all learning centers so that you learn faster.
  4. Happiness absolutely rewires the brain.

Self conquest is the greatest of all victories. ~Plato
Here are my 5 secrets to creating happiness and harmony within, so that all your relationships are healed as well.

  1. Focus on you. No matter what is happening always turn your focus inward to the self. Ask yourself questions. "How did I create this? What have I been thinking to myself that would create these circumstances? Where else have I experienced this?" Outside circumstances (relationships) mirror what is going on inside us. If you are being triggered (upset) you are the one with the issue, not the other way around. No one can MAKE YOU FEEL anything that you don't allow yourself to feel.
  2. Take responsibility for your own happiness. No one can make you happy but you. Happiness is a choice. Choose to be happy every day.
  3. Forgive everyone. Holding onto grudges and emotions only hurt you. Forgive yourself first, then everyone else. If you still feel angry or resentful do more forgiveness work. You are the source of your pain and suffering. Do the Ho'oponopono Prayer below.
  4. Loving thoughts, loving words always. The thoughts we think today, create tomorrow's reality. Make your thoughts positive, loving and nurturing. Focus on what you want, rather than what you don't want. Meditate daily. Sit in quiet, chant (repeating a mantra). Mantras help the mind to become quiet and still. The simplest ones can be the most profound. Use a mantra all day in the background of your mind, rather than allowing your mind to run amok.
  5. Be grateful. Gratitude is one of the fastest way to open your heart. Being grateful for what you have, opens you up to receive more. Gratitude for each lesson learned allows you to recognize that you are not a victim, you are a powerful creator. Everything that is transpiring in your life is for your highest and best good. Life is working FOR you, not against you. It has been scientifically proven that when people think of two unique things to be grateful for each day AND write in a gratitude journal about an incident or experience that they are grateful for 21 days, that their brain will be rewired for happiness.

The Ho'oponopono Prayer

Repeat this prayer slowly for about 20 minutes, starting with
yourself. Always forgive yourself first. Then when you feel complete, move onto others, one at a time.

I am sorry

Please forgive me

I love you

Thank you

We learn the most about ourselves when we are in a relationship. Though many people avoid being in relationships because they are afraid of being hurt. Many people continue to live in a state of anger and resentment for what a past partner did to them. This is victim mentality and does not serve your highest and best. Sometimes, we blame others. The blame is misplaced. We are not victims, although at times we feel that way. We actually are creators. We create our life circumstances by the thoughts we think and the things we believe.

Harmony Outside Means Harmony Inside

Relationships mirror back to us what is going on inside ourselves. If you have conflict in your relationships the inner conflict you have inside you is what is causing it. To have harmony in your life and world, you have to have it inside of you first.

What you say to yourself and think creates your outer world and circumstances. If you say to yourself, "I will always be alone, there is no one for me." Your belief that you will be alone, will create you continuing to be alone. You are afraid of love. You are avoiding it with your thoughts. You are pushing love away. It can be scary to allow yourself to be vulnerable, or let someone be close to you. Fear can keep love at bay. Our fears can be cleared. Our patterns can be changed. Jennifer is masterful at guiding with compassion, helping your focus be soft, positive, compassionate and loving.

10 Reasons You Don't Want to Have Sex On The First Date

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

When you think of a first date, where does your mind go? Do you think ahhh - sex? Probably not unless sex is all you want. Though there are no steadfast rules about sex on the first date, however, if you are looking for a lasting relationship, you probably will want to re-think going to a hotel room or back-of-a-car rushed sex before you know the other person.

Sex and relationships bring up our deepest fears, regrets and insecurities. Dating is an investment in your future. A person who is truly interested in pursuing a relationship will not pressure you for sex on the first date.

Fairy Tales and Sex

Reading someone's profile and looking at the dating site that you met on will shed some light on whether your date is looking for a hookup or a relationship. We have to recognize that not all profiles are created equal. Some people lie. If someone tells you they love you and want to spend the rest of their lives with you on the first date, they are manipulating you to get you into bed. I can't tell you how many of these stories I have heard.

Whether you are seventeen or sixty years of age the result of sex on the first date is the same. When we begin dating a new person, we are starting from scratch. We have a clean slate. We know nothing about the other person. A first date might involve light conversation, flirtation and fun. It's an opportunity to see if there are commonalities or enough mutual interest for a second date.

The sizzle and magnetism of the first kiss. Looking into another's eyes and seeing the depth of their soul, then ripping their clothes off and cartwheeling into bed isn't the best way to start off a relationship. It might be a way to alleviate sexual tension, but it doesn't give you a decent chance for a successful relationship and here's why....

Heart Ties and Sexual Ties

Every time we have sex with someone new we form invisible ties that connect us leaking our energy into those we have been intimate with until they are cleared. Men form a heart tie with their sexual partners and women create both a sexual tie and a heart tie. A private session with me can be scheduled to do this clearing.

Often as soon as the ties are disconnected and permanently cleared, the other person will think of you and feel the disconnect.

Ask Yourself These Questions

Is it mutually beneficial?

Is this what I really want?

Am I hoping to keep him by having sex?

Am I feeling desperate to keep this person?

What lies or manipulations are occurring to get me into bed?

Do I believe what he/she is saying?

When sex occurs at the end of the first date you may find some or all of the following are true for you.

  1. It's AWKWARD! The first time we rip each other's clothes off and tumble into the sheets can feel awkward. When we have sex on the first date we don't know the other person which increases the awkward quotient tenfold. Knowing someone first moves you past this awkwardness because you recognize their good qualities and know they are someone you would like to spend more time with. With first-date-sex, you probably have not discussed many issues regarding past relationships and elements about your sexual past such as STDs, precautions or preferences. Although there is an element of excitement present, that feeling can dissipate quickly once the physical needs are met. Many thoughts run through one's mind, "Should I be doing this?" "Will he call me again?" "How will I feel in the morning?" The awkwardness of the moment can leave one or both wishing it had never happened and drop your self-esteem into the proverbial toilet.
  2.  You feel self-judgment, recrimination and shame. Even with today's Tinder, and other hookup dating sites, the women I talked to all said they felt shame after sex on the first date. Shame lowers your self-esteem, rather than improving it. Shame is the lowest vibrational emotion we can feel.
  3. Leaves you feeling needy. After sex on the first date, women report stocking FaceBook pages, MeetMe pages and Snapchats. When the morning after call never comes, the feelings of regret, shoulds and self-abuse can be intense. If you know this is what happens to you, don't do it.
  4. Kills respect. Few relationships last when built on a lusty foundation.  First-date-sex may leave him wondering if you do this with all the guys. It can be a bone of contention (I had to say it) later on and leave you without self-respect and his.
  5. You only have one beginning. What's done is done. You can't turn back the hands of time and take back sex once it is given. Wishing and hoping that things were different won't remove the feelings of doubt you are left with after giving it up too easily.
  6. Your body is a temple. When you recognize your value you know what you are giving when you allow another to wrap their legs around you, and be inside of you. Sex is sacred and meaningful when it is reverent. When sex happens without a soul connection it is primal, animalistic devoid of love. Giving yourself to another without a heart connection can leave you feeling empty, disconnected and even depressed. Treat your body as if it has value and that giving yourself to another is a gift, something rare and special. When you wait you will feel a positive exchange of energy when your hearts are involved.
  7. Too much too soon. Once you have sex there is little to look forward to. Early dating is precious, fragile and often gut wrenching. Enjoy getting to know one another without clouding the experience with sex. Once we have sex everything changes. Keep the best for last. You are the best, your body is the desert of the dating process. Allow yourself to enjoy the first kiss when it feels right. Give yourself time to revel in the energy of just a kiss. Give your partner someone to think about wonder and even fantasize about. Allow the excitement to build over time, when you do your first experience will be one of revelry, joy and laughter instead of primal animalistic sex.
  8. Sex distorts emotions. When women have sex with a man we experience a release of oxytocin the love and bonding hormone. It has been scientifically proven that the sexual hormones released cause us to feel trust when there is no reason to trust. We feel love when there is no love present. Oxytocin was created to keep women bonded to their babies and the men that impregnated them. If you have sex you feel bonded to someone who may already be gone leaving you grieving and alone.
  9. You bond to someone you might not even like. Once the blush of a new beginning falls away you may find yourself in a relationship with someone you don't like or are have nothing in common. You might even find that they like kink or pain during sex when you prefer vanilla. Sex before knowing the other person can gloss over and prevent you from seeing the other's true colors till it is too late.
  10. Relationships that last are built on friendship. We begin to allow another to see our soft underbelly, our insecurities becoming more vulnerable over time. Once the barriers are
removed and feelings are involved sex will be better, leaving you feeling charged, uplifted and deeply bonded with the thrill of getting to know another at a soul level.

In my book, Orgasm For Life, I address the issue of dating do's and dont's. For more details buy my book on Amazon and read it cover to cover. Then read it cover to cover again! It will help both you and your partner!

Author's Note:
A healthy relationship begins with getting to know each other. After a couple of hours, you probably don't know their astrological sign or their core values never mind if they have similar sexual needs or taste. The first date barely gives you enough time to decide if you want to eat a meal together never mind have each other's
babies. Sex on the first date opens you up to a plethora of issues, from STDs to pregnancy. You might not even like this person enough to want to sleep together,  and challenges and puts sex above connection and physical attraction above love.

How To Communicate With Your Four-Legged Friends Easily

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Hendrey's Beach our favorite spot in California

The subject of pets and communication with them is near and dear to my heart. My life would not be what it is today without the incredible unconditional love that my cats and dogs give me. They bring me joy, happiness and comfort. Having a pet will boost your self-esteem and help you open your heart too.

Being able to communicate with our little balls of fur makes our life multi-dimensional. The more we understand what they are telling us, the better our relationship is. (It kinda sorta smacks of our human relationships, doesn't it?) Animals can help you open your heart in a safe way.

Mt. Sanitas, Boulder, Colorado with friends

My dogs get me out when I don't feel like exercising. They keep me moving when I would rather lie around and do nothing. They keep me company and welcome me like I am the Queen of Siam when I return. I owe my fitness regime to Karma and Yoda. When I recognized how much joy Karma received from her daily walks, I have stepped them up to two or three a day. When Karma and my little guy, Yoda walk, I dance. Having dogs has kept me moving even when I didn't feel so inclined. This article will help you become closer to your pets or find a way to get one.

The Joys Of Pets

Lydia many years ago with Ariel
As far back as I can remember, we have always had a dog and a cat. In my family of origin, dogs lived outside in a dog house or tied up in the backyard. My father used to create a zip line so our dog could roam about the backyard. Through my journey, I have learned that the more communication and interaction we have with our animals they more they communicate with us. When a dog is kept outside they feel segregated, rather than a part of our family.

Karma with our newfound rescues from the desert
I prefer to have my four-leggeds close to me. They are inside when I am inside and outside when I am outside. My dogs ride with me until the weather is too hot to do so. They travel with me across country providing company for me driving alone. Karma has driven over 40,000 miles with me. They protect me, talk to me and snuggle up to me when I sit on the floor with them. When I am in my home office writing or working Karma lays behind me. When I move to another room, she goes too.

How many cats and dogs have we had over the years? Quite a few. I wrote about Lydia one of my most magical kitties in one of my most popular posts about recognizing emotional unavailability. She would help me clear my clients and died doing it. Our family has had pets ever since I can remember. Now my sons each have their bevy of kitties. I currently have four cats and two dogs, all rescued.

How To Begin Communicating With Your Pets

Talk to your pets when you are home. Ask them if they are hungry before you feed them. Karma has taught me sign language. She licks her lips when she is hungry. She has taught Yoda sign language also. The sign for thirsty is similar but not exactly the
same. If I ask Karma if she is thirsty when she is hungry, she looks at me like I am an idiot. Karma also has a particular bark she gives when she is happy. She gives it when I ask her if she is hungry, indicating that I have understood her. It goes something like this: Ro Ro Ro! With her body posture changing as she happily makes this sound, head rising upward towards the end.

Watch the signals your pets give you. See what is consistent in their communication. Notice when and where they are when they give you a sign. Is it a particular time of day?

Leaving Your Pets Behind

Osiris and McGuillicudy loving brothers
I don't like to leave my pets behind when I travel, but sometimes it can't be helped. I don't drive to Colorado with my cats (driving from Georgia to Boulder, Colorado and then again to California was a wild ride. Often I had one cat on my lap, another on my shoulders then there was the litter box inside the car! Holy cats! They always have a pet sitter who comes in at least once a day to feed, spend time with them and scoop the cat litter.

Cats Get Worried Too

The two little guys pictures above came from the Mojave Desert. I was guided down a road that I didn't normally walk down. The complete story is in the link just above. When one kitty is out, the other brother worries about him. He comes to me and asks me to find him. The connection these two have for one another is far beyond any that I have ever seen between two cats. They nearly starved to death. They have a very deep bond. They relate to me differently than my other cats do, because I bottle fed them and became their rescuer. This is a video I filmed with all four of them. Cats come to us when we are busy. They tap on our arms when they want us to pay attention to them. They might stand on our chest when they want us to wake up. They would bounce if they could! Do you wonder how you are like a kitten?

Pay attention to your cat's face. Where are they looking? Sometimes I swear they play the "Gotcha" game. They stare up at the ceiling and see spirits, bugs, fairies, who knows what and then go back to licking themselves thinking "he he he, I really got her that time!"

Talking To Your Pets

Karma is a Border Collie mix. She is 17 years old. I thought I was going to lose her a year ago when my vet recommended I give her SAM-e for her stiff hind legs. The SAM-e has alleviated her cataracts as well since it cleans out the liver. The liver is associated with the eyes. I know each day is a gift that she is alive.

Karma now has a difficult time jumping into the backseat of my Honda. When she is tired, I pick her 65 pound body up gently and lift her into the car. It is what we do for those we love. I have prayed and asked that she die without pain while she is sleeping. I have left it at that. We live for today!

Believe me I am not wasting time. We enjoy each day to the fullest. I take her to places she loves so that she is enjoying her life experience as much as I am. I see such beauty walking outside with

my dogs. They have enriched my life in more ways than I recognize.

Each trip I make to Colorado, I wonder if it will be her last. I am doing my best to focus on her living rather than thinking of her dying. My thoughts have an impact on her vibrant health.

Speaking of eyes, I had a vision of her before I got her. I had just lost two dogs hit by one car. She had been left tied up to a tree at the top of Etowah Mountain in Georgia.

Karma is the most intelligent breeds of dogs on the planet. Border Collies have been tested and found to know as many as 200 words. Some of the words Karma knows are car, beach, ride, go, eat, breakfast, thirsty, leave, stay, sit, speak, cat, hurt, pain, outside, bed, sleep, vet, help, work, Mommy, me, Adam, David, Ariel, Rich,
Ariel's Colorado friends included Karma too
Yoda, Chloe, Percy, McGuillicuddy, Osiris, out, leave it, no, stop, cut it out, pet, watch me, wait a minute, no barking, hush, happy, tummy, rub, paw, bath, swim, ocean, run, play......

Before I leave I talk to each of them individually and tell them what is going to happen. I tell them out loud first and then tell them with my mind only. Pets understand much more than you think they do. This was actually when I began to really take communicating with my animals to a deeper level through travel.

Dogs See and Communicate In Pictures

When I was walking on a trail in Colorado, I experienced a dog I didn't know communicating with me. He told me he was going to die and to let his owner know. On other occasions, I have had dogs

tell me their story - where they came from how happy they are to be with their person now. They showed me in images.

Do What Makes Them Happy

Giving joy to others gives us joy also. I remember trading in my brand new Passat so that our new rescued Golden Retriever,
Gunner would be more comfortable. I bought him a Ford Explorer! My boys were infinitely grateful because Gunner was so big he stretched out and took up the entire back seat. David inevitably was the one with dog hair in his mouth!

Dogs love to be outside. They love to sniff disgusting things and other dog's butts. Going to new places is always exciting. I rotate my dogs from the wild Mojave desert with just us, to the dog park eleven miles away in Lancaster. Yoda knows when I go to the bank that the dog park is close by. He freaks out with excitement. How can I not take them there?

When we do what our pets love, they love us back. They communicate how they feel through their tails, their smiles and their voices. They appreciate the experiences. Our lives with our pets are not just about us feeding them and cleaning up their feces. It is one of love, communication and joint experiences. Our pets help us grow more in love with ourselves and others.

How To Communicate With Your Pet

  1. Recognize that your pet is not an idiot. They have intuition. They have a soul. They are more evolved than most humans.
  2. Animals are loving at their core. The more we love them, the
Nederland, CO Yoda, Karma, Ariel and Me
more they express their love to us.
  3. Listen to your animals voice. When they jump up next to you, pull them close to you, show them some love!
  4. Watch their actions.
  5. Give your animal some credit for understanding you.
  6. Speak to them often.
  7. Rub their heart chakra, they love it. The heart chakra is located between their front legs in the center of their chest.
  8. Rub their heart chakra, then rub their belly. Talk to them while you touch them. Tell them you love them.
  9. Send the message - FEELING to your dog telepathically. Say I love you with your heart and your mind while rubbing their heart chakra.
  10. Give your pet attention. If your pet is bugging you for attention, they are trying to tell you that you are disconnected and numb. Get with the program and love them! It will help you open your heart like theirs.

  11. Notice your pets expression. Their faces speak volumes. Are they happy? Are they panting constantly? Panting can indicate pain.

Pets Are Family Members

Yoda was found in my little town of Rosamond. He was just five weeks old. He is a Chuiaha Daschund mix. In the desert, this is a breed, Chiweenie. Yoda's purpose in this life is to make people happy. He does a very good job of it everywhere he goes. He has a past. If you are interested in hearing how I lost him in Arizona and found him with faith here it is, borrowing from AC/DC: Stairway To Heaven, Or Highway To Hell?
