Leo Full Moon On Steroids and Lunar Eclipse

A full moon can interrupt sleep patterns, affect emotions and births. An eclipse creates a much more powerful lunation with a more potent effect.

This particular eclipse with the Sun in Aquarius and Moon in Leo. This Aquarius - Leo axis pushes us to look closely at our lives to recognize our needs, wants and any lack in our lives. 

On Friday, February 10th, 2017 a Lunar eclipse occurs at 22 degrees of Leo, the master number of the builder. This moon is opposing the sun which shines its light on this beautiful full moon.

This Lunar Eclipse deals with a balance between the personal (Leo) versus the impersonal (Aquarius). Leo is an expressive, creative energy that boosts our ego, up leveling pleasure, romance, and creative expression. Yummy! The cool, calm Aquarius energy is more impersonal, ruling the group with the emphasis on friendship and objectivity. The full moon helps us to keep one foot on the ground rather than getting too caught up in romance due to the impersonal nature of Aquarius.

The Leo moon is intensely individual and proud think of the gorilla pounding his chest, not content being merely one of a team. The impersonal Aquarius Sun, though individualistic values their independence as well as the entire team. Can you feel the conflict rising? This beautiful moon emphasizes this conflict.

Leo delivers confidence, pride, strength, presence and passion. We will all feel a sense of power and expanded confidence under the influence of this beautiful aspect and the master number 22. This number could help you build something wonderful, passionate and fabulous. You could be inspired to build, paint, write or create something you feel passionate about. If you have a project that has been sitting on the backburner for ages, bring it out under this moon's influence and set it ablaze!

This moon is about seeing yourself as a part of the whole. You may feel compelled to go out into the world to teach, learn and discover. You will have more confidence to be out in the world, perfect as this energy aligns with your goals.

Use This Potent and Powerful Full Moon In Cancer For Romance and Great Sex

The moon affects births, moods, emotions, tides, menstruation and everything in between. A full moon in the emotional water sign of Cancer is one of the most potent and powerful energies we can experience. Love-making, nurturing, loving and letting go together can be an amazing experience tonight! Let the loving and releasing begin!

A Grand Cardinal Cross is being activated with this full moon that will be in place through the year 2020. 

In January 2020, Saturn will couple with Pluto and conjunct initiating a new economic boom cycle.

Corporations, large organizations, new earth energy will be bringing in people and environment first and profit second in this new earth.

Our Divine Destiny is to take care of the earth.

Politics are playing out these roles right now. January is all about your foundation, taking care of you. Are you kind to you? Do you make sure you have plenty of rest, exercise, take extreme self-care? Pluto opposing this moon brings in our personal needs rather than egoic will. 

Trump is the disruptor. He is ruled by Uranus. Uranus is awakening us to our emotional needs. It may not seem like it, but he is who we asked for. 

What do you need to feel good? The whole reason you are here is to be creative. 

How can you be more creative? Tap into your inner child. The childlike innocence and purity will take you there. Play, have fun, focus on your unique talents and abilities. Nourish your talent. You came here to be you. Follow your own personal star. Channel your cosmic child and talent within you. Stop allowing others to dictate to you how you should be. 

The abuse of power that we see in the world today is moving out. There is a polarization occurring that is playing out in our political arena. We may be projecting out our inner demons onto others and then blame others for what we are doing. We may not be aware of. We might not like what others are doing - but used to be that way ourselves. 

This first full moon of the year is asking us to be very conscious and be aware of the shadow, power struggles, and emotions. We can find ourselves feeling righteous. Righteousness can condone bad behavior in an abusive way. This shadow is being illuminated. Don't get caught up in power struggles and power plays that you see in the workplace or world.

It is an innovative and inspiring combination. It is a time of fulfillment, nurture and belonging, creating this with your loved ones and family is a powerful use of this energy. 

Libra, Aries, Cancer, Capricorn will be affected greatly through this astrologically expansive energy. It's all about collaboration, partnering and asking to be nurtured. This is a perfect time to be moving forward, meeting with a study or literary group. Potlucks that nurture your body and soul with loved ones during the next two weeks is a lovely way to utilize this energy.

The planet Venus is exalted in Pisces (very sensitive energy) combined with Venus the planet that rules love.

A full moon is a time of coming to fruition. This cancer moon is nurturing, more grounding. Cancer is about the home and nurturing. Healing the inner child and looking at those places where we need to access the tender, gentle space. Being more vulnerable and authentic will allow you to step into a sexy, spiritual bonding with our partners.

Cancer shows it's inner emotions and Pisces energy is creating a poetic vibe. We will be able to access wounded places within during the next two weeks.

Almost Lunar Eclipse Tonight, August 18

If the skies were clear near you last night, you were able to see a beautiful round full moon. Tonight the eclipse takes place at 26 degrees of Aquarius, though there will be no shadow over the moon. The moon won't appear to be eclipsed at all. 

There is much good news surrounding this full moon, it is a time for new discoveries, and new relationships of all kinds.

What Does A Lunar Eclipse Mean?

Like all full moons the sun is opposite the moon, bringing your attention to home, family and relationships. Most people notice that their emotions reach their peak around a full moon. A full moon is a powerful time to gain perspective about the truth of your relationships, recognizing any imbalance or disharmony.

The August lunar eclipse and full moon will bring balance and compliment the new moon which occurred on August 2nd. Any projects begun two weeks ago will be completed at this time, as it is harvest time. This is the final phase of a six month cycle which began March 6th with the solar eclipse. Themes or major goals over the past six months will seek resolution and completion prior to the solar eclipse on September 1, 2016. The solar eclipse will clear the slate for a new beginning on September 2nd.

Bright Full Moon Tonight For Summer Solstice!

Happy Summer Solstice to you! Those dog days of summer are here! Today is the longest day of the year. It is certainly the hottest I have experienced in the desert so far, reaching 109 degrees.  This Solstice holds a special significance as we also have a full moon. A full moon is a wonderful time to release and let go. This moon is considered a strawberry moon as the Native Americans named it for the time to begin picking strawberries. The moon will be at its peak of intensity tonight but not pink or red. A full moon has not occurred on a summer Solstice since 1967. As the days become longer, we also expand. Our light increases as well as we begin to look within to view our personal shadow. The shadow parts of ourselves are parts of ourselves that we might not like, anger, rage, jealousy, insecurities and other issues we might feel we have. June is a month of love, healing and perhaps quick bursts of anger. For many it feels as if we are being coddled back in the womb. Things are moving swiftly this month, coming to fruition and allowing something new to show up. This is a wonderful time for deep healing.  June has been a whirlwind of travel and activity for me. From Atlanta, Georgia where I was delighted to have seen so many of you in person at The Inner Space and again at my son's Love and Happiness Fest on Cheshire Bridge. This past weekend my youngest, Ariel graduated from culinary school against all odds. I began crying before I even arrived in Colorado. I was crying at the Hispanic grocery store where I didn't even understand the words to the songs that got me started. I saw mylar balloons with the word, "Graduate," on them and began to boo hoo! This past weekend gave me an opportunity to see my dear client in person for dinner in Colorado and spend some wonderful family time with my adult off-spring. We ate, played and enjoyed each other. This weekend inspired me to write today's post:  Life Hacks For Family Happiness: 15 Ways To Think Differently In less than one week I will load my dogs and suitcase in my little Honda and drive back to Colorado and then fly to Toronto for another family reunion and my aunt Lenore's 90th birthday.
