Feeling Unhappy In Your Relationship? Follow These 3 Steps For Resolution

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

We have all been there. We feel stuck, blocked and unhappy. Our sex life might be bland or non-existent, and arguments and strife might be what we consume for breakfast. It doesn't feel good to not be on the same page as our partners. The easiest way for us to feel better is to blame the other person. The problem with blame is it makes us a victim and as you know none of us are. We make choices
and are where we are because of the beliefs we have and the decisions made.

When we feel unhappy, we look to the other person as the source of our unhappiness. However, taking responsibility for where we are is something that each of us has to do to begin to shift our energy and change direction from negative thinking which blocks to gratitude and the downward spiral of negativity.

Responsibility is the key to healing.  JEM
Step One

Once we recognize that we are in blame, we have to change our focus and look for ways to resolve the mess we feel we are in. To solve a problem, we have to look at it from a perspective we haven't used yet. Begin by using a query to uncover the truth. Ask yourself the following questions and write your answers in a journal. I feel your resistance, and I get it. Writing involves a little inner work to get the clarity we need. Introspection and clarity will set you free and allow you to shift quickly. Basically, when we refuse to look inside it is because we are in denial of the truth using the small part of us (ego) believing we are right and the other(s) are wrong. Remember the reason we are in a relationship in the first place is to grow and evolve not stagnate and blame.
Journaling your answers also gives you a baseline to return to in a week, month or a year to see how far you have come.
  • Have I set healthy boundaries?
  • Have I kept silent about issues that upset me?
  • Have I griped, groaned and complained rather than looked for a solution?
  • Is my mindset negative?
  • Am I only seeing my partner's negative qualities and refusing to recognize their wonderful side?
  • How do I feel about myself? Am I overweight? Am I depressed? Am I complaining rather than living in a state of gratitude?
Step Two

Now that you have some insight, can you see what you can do to change the course of history and the way you feel? Our feelings are a barometer for the three "Cs." Clarity, Cour-Correction, and Congratulations. Once you feel better to take the time to congratulate yourself for recognizing your patterns. Old patterns mean we are living in the past and dragging it into your present circumstances. We can't evolve beyond where we are by living under the shadow of old stories, limiting beliefs and programming. Think of it this way, imagine watching Leave It To Beaver today or Little House on The Prairie. How do you feel? Those old television programs are like the old programs that are running your current day reality. We can choose something different. The way we change old programming is by choosing to respond differently.

It is not the event that causes the damage, it is our reaction and response to it that creates our programming
Step Three

Maybe you have an issue with your mother which also bubbles over into your current romantic relationship. Perhaps mommy is critical, cold and negative. Is she the problem? Maybe she didn't love you the way you wanted to be loved. The little you probably would say, "Damn straight she's the problem and always has been!" Remember what was stated earlier about taking responsibility? Blaming mommy (or anyone) makes us a victim. I know I did it for years. My mother was my kryptonite! I could be strong, powerful and authentic with everyone but my mother. When I was in my mother's presence, it was as if all my strength was drained from me. Why? Because I was operating with my small child Jennifer programming. I became the people-pleaser, making mommy happy. I used to do everything in my power to keep peace with my mother and keep her happy because I wanted her to love me. I even married a man because she told me to. My mother was so worried about what her friends would think about me living with a man. My mother was very worried about appearances. Appearance and keeping up with the Joneses is an ego-based program.

Worrying about what other's think of us is none of our business. JEM

What have you done to make your mother or someone else happy? What have you given up in the process? Are they any happier as a result of your cartwheels and twisting yourself into a pretzel? The truth is, no one can make anyone else happy. Our mother's happiness isn't our responsibility. Our spouse's happiness isn't our responsibility either.
  1. Be honest with yourself. How much energy have you spent attempting to do what other's wanted you to do? Stop wasting your precious energy and power on another person.
  2. Instead of staying mute use your words and voice to state what you want and don't want.
  3. Set healthy boundaries with others. Remember every day you are training others how you want to be treated. If you have allowed the behavior to continue, it could take a little time to retrain others. Be consistent. Think of the other person as a little puppy or a child. Each time someone attempts to get you to do something recognize the manipulation. Just say, "That doesn't work for me, it is not what I want for myself."
  4. Watch your emotional reaction to other people. Remember no one can "make you feel or do anything." You are in control of the way you feel.
  5. Don't stew or boil over what others do or ask of you. Remember your reaction to their requests, prodding or insistence doesn't have to continue. Tell them, "No, thank you."
  6. Get clarity on what you want and don't want. Most people are unclear about what they want and don't want which creates issues within relationships.
  7. Notice what you feel. If someone is pushing your boundaries, anger may bubble up. Anger is there for a reason so that we recognize when our boundaries are being crossed. We have to put our hand up and say stop.
  8. Until our behavior changes, we have not changed. If you are still doing and acting the way you did as a child you are responding with old programming.
  9. Move out of fear of the new and different knowing you are safe and worthy. What another person says or does is not who you are. No one defines you but you. Stand in compassion and self-love using the, "I LOVE ME," mantra.
The amazing thing about our brain is that it creates new synapses - hence new programs when we are consistent with new behavior. Mantras work when we use them consistently. We can reprogram hate, anger, shame, guilt, and all of our negative emotions to be different. In the past, my mother would feel illicit guilt from all of us kids. I stopped allowing her to "make me feel," guilty. If a program continues long enough, it is imprinted in our cellular memory.

Our cellular memory can be changed, I've done it. When we reprogram our cellular memory, we heal cancer, tumors, Fibromyalgia, auto-immune disease, anxiety, depression. All of it can be healed by thinking differently. Meditation, mantras and coaching will help you get there faster. It took me over thirty years on my own. When we want something different and are sick and tired of being sick and tired, we persevere every day. Working on ourselves isn't something we do here and there, it is a daily practice that changes our lives so that we have a magical life full of wonder, joy, and happiness; it is where I live and breathe every day.

Part of my work involves Telesummits where I have a 90-minute interview so you can hear me live and receive a free gift or purchase a package that is an incredible saving. I am involved with several Telesummits in the next two months. You Wealth Revolution and Radiant Intuitive Woman are the most recent. I'd love it if you joined Dee Wallace, myself along with 22 other powerful healers on the Radiant Intuitive Woman Summit happening right now.

Can't do this alone? You don't have to. Let's set up a time to talk. I'd love to hear about your situation and see how I can help. Send me an e-mail, and we'll set up a time to chat.

Are Past Lives Keeping You From Attaining Happiness?

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

No matter how long you have been on a Spiritual path, the idea of past lives surfaces at some point. Souls are recycled every day. Depending on how we lived and died in previous lifetimes, those issues continue to surface until they are either cleared, or you complete the karma in your current life. I have recently witnessed people's lives transform after one clearing once the past lives that are causing issues are cleared.

Allergies can be due to a death in a past life in a fire, or by drowning. You might be allergic to cats or dogs if you have been killed by a lion, tiger or dog in the past.

Each time we reincarnate we return with the same soul group. These soul group members have made contracts with us to help us resolve past life issues. Sometimes, we marry these people. Other times, the people from our soul group show up as parents, siblings or our department head. No matter what you did in a past life, the current life is allowing you many opportunities to heal, renew and re-do a pattern so that you will completely heal the past life.

Four years ago I did a series of clearings for a gentleman named Patrik, in Switzerland. Patrik was well-aware of his issues and after four clearings for himself and his wife, he requested that I work on an issue with his daughter.

Patrik informed me that his daughter refused to do anything he asked of her. She shrieked, fought and argued with him at every turn. The mere sound of her voice caused him to feel as though someone was running their fingernails down a chalkboard!

She was clearly getting under his skin and on his nerves. As a parent he loved her. However, he was also challenged by his very strong feelings that made him so angry. He wondered why was this happening?

In a past life, I saw the two of them as men on a battlefield duking it out with heavy swords. Both were powerful and skilled swordsmen. An equal match in strength and strategy. They fought to the death. Patrik knocked his daughter (in a man's body) to the ground. His daughter (as a man) lifted the heavy sword towards the man about to end his life. Patrik leaned in for the kill and landed on the other's sword. Blood from each other's body spilled into the other's wounds. They were a mix of sweat and blood. Pieces of each other's soul were left in the other. These soul fragments remained.

When I cleared the soul fragments entwined in each other's soul, their relationship transformed. It was like magic. His daughter stopped fighting him at every turn. Patrik was able to listen to his daughter's voice without wanting to leave the country. They, of course, had the typical issues that parent and child have, but without the Battle of the Bulge.

When past lives bleed through into our present lifetime, we have tremendous challenges and difficulties. When we remove the issues from the past life, an amazing transformation can take place.

This past week, I had a session with a beautiful young woman in Georgia who does body painting and portraits for a living. She was suffering from a sinus infection that antibiotics wouldn't cure. I cleared anger and explained that sinus infections are often caused by angry words left unspoken, usually to someone close. She told me that didn't resonate with her. She wasn't with anyone. I looked deeper for a cause. I found it! There were two past-life deaths that were associated with her current sinus infection. The Mercury Retrograde was bringing up these ancient issues to be cleared once and for all. In one lifetime, she died in a house fire. In the second past life, she had died by drowning. The interesting thing was that though she liked water, she had a tremendous fear of what she couldn't see in the water and of drowning.

Other Ways Past Lives Affect You

In days gone by we have been both male and female, travelers, sailors, warriors, husbands, wives, abusers, molesters, jewelers, painters, carpenters, bankers, lawyers, chemists, wizards, witches, children, mean-spirited, stolen, wealthy and greedy, promiscuous, royalty, beheaded, hung, eaten by wild animals. All manner of events occurred in our past lives. All of these can have an impact on us in our current lifetime. Having an energy clearing of the past lives that are affecting and bleeding through can be life-changing!

Following are just a few examples of how past lives can cause you challenges in this lifetime. Don't believe me? Join me this Wednesday and let's clear the past lives affecting you right now.

Allergies: Dying in circumstances that are related to the allergen. For example, allergy to cats: death by lion or tiger. Allergy to dogs, death by wolves or dogs.

Cigarette Craving: Past life energies of self-limitation and self-punishment can cause a person to start smoking or become involved in other activities that are self-harming. Another past life cause is believing as an American Indian that the peace pipe is a way to contact Great Spirit.

Sinus infections: death by fire or drowning

Heart Issues: Past life issues of sadness, hate of men, hate of God, apathy, disillusionment, betrayal, doubt of men and women, emotional and physical abuse by others, shame and separation from others.

Gallbladder Issues: Are 100% rooted in past lives. The energies carried over from these past lives are bitterness, hate of men and women, hate of life and of God, hate, health abuse, helplessness, depression, self-limitation, self-destruction, despair, suicide, intense desire to experience illness rather than the Karma for perceived wrongs in past lives.

Neck pain: death by hanging

Physical Pain: The cause of some physical pain is from this life. However, the major cause of pain is from past life death by serious injury by sword, spear, arrow, beheading, gunshot, operations.
Throat issues: strangulation, torture

Manic Depression: Past Life energies from: frustration, helplessness, hate of women, hate of life, hate of self, escapism, failure, sexual promiscuity, self-limitation, self-destruction, a suicide of personal expression.

Lyme Disease: Past Life energies of frustration, guilt, hate, hate of life and self, health abuse, despair, doom, hate of women and men, and failure.

Overweight: Many problems from being overweight are caused by past lives. These energies that carryover are: fear, anger, hate of God, hate of life, hate of self, frustration, helplessness, guilt, alcoholism, depression, self-punishment, self-limitation, self-destruction, doubt of life and suicide.

Panic Attacks: Much of the causes of panic attacks today are from past lives where you experienced harm, lack or limitation, cold, hunger, or even starvation.

Pancreas: Fear of being harmed again is often the cause of diabetes in this lifetime.

Parkinson's: 100% from past lives. These energies are frustration, guilt, hate of life and self, hate of God, intense health abuse, forsaken by God, and helplessness.

Physical Injury: Sometimes we set ourselves up for accidents in this lifetime from events from the past energies of self-limitation, self-punishment because we have harmed others in the past and believe that being harmed in this life will balance events out.

I have hundreds of stories like Patrik's and his daughter where their lives were transformed by having their past life cleared that was causing them challenges in this lifetime. This Wednesday join me for my free podcast about past lives and their effect on this one. This clearing will allow you to feel calm, peaceful, positive and sleep better than you have in a very long time.

Twin Flame Lessons

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Twin Flames come in for a very short time. to teach us something profound. Often our Twin Flames are married to someone else, which means we can't be together. A Twin Flame relationship is very different than a Soul Mate relationship. A Soul Mate relationship can last years. A Soul Mate relationship is often tumultuous, bringing up your deepest issues.

The connection of a Twin Flame relationship is unsurpassed. A Twin Flame connection can be felt coming for years. You know the instant that you meet that there is something very special. When you finally embrace, magic happens. The love overwhelms you.

I have had many women and men ask me, "Why would I meet my Twin Flame if I am not to be with them?" Usually, your Twin Flame comes in to teach you how to love and accept yourself AS YOU ARE!

John Armbruster was charismatic, sexy, intelligent and loved me unconditionally. I found out after his death that he was with another woman when he traveled north to meet with the Native American council. This confirmed my suspicions. There was some missing time in John's travels. I felt something wasn't right. I asked him about it at the time, but he hedged and avoided.

John Armbruster admitted to being a sex addict. Although he had worked on this issue, it still plagued him. He couldn't be faithful. He lied about other things as well. I caught him smoking while we were on the phone. He told me he only smoked the ceremonial pipe. I knew he was smoking other things. He thought I couldn't tell. I was very aware and observant. It was difficult to put something past me. He commented on that fact many times.

He did not overcome his issues with his children. He had difficulty with forgiveness. John was very evolved. When I brought up an issue with him, he listened. He would admit his faults openly. He knew himself well. He had daily spiritual practice, which helped me recognize that I needed to meditate daily, pray more and be in touch with the earth and God's creatures for messages. Birds, deer and other animals give us messages. John reminded me to be observant, notice and feel what they were telling me. (I was already doing this, but his teachings took it a step deeper.)

For two years after John's death, Blue Herons would be present in the sky, on my pond and around the places I traveled to. He continued to send me messages through the Blue Herons.

What Does A Twin Flame Teach Us?

  1. They often help you see what your path is.
  2. They teach you loving acceptance of self.
  3. They teach you that although they are very special, they aren't perfect. No one is.
  4. They teach you that we all have issues, but you need to love yourself anyway - ALL OF YOU. Not just the parts that are easy to love and accept.
  5. We all have a shadow self. This part needs special love and attention to be completely integrated within the self, rather than cordoned off and segregated.

I Have Money, Why Am I Not Happy?

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Beyond Money, the root of all Happiness

My life has been one of huge contrasts. From wealth and extravagance to modest and simplistic.
Living a luxurious lifestyle with all the trappings on a private estate in England, I could not have been more miserable, lonely and unhappy.

By contrast, when I lived a more simplistic lifestyle, spending time meditating in nature daily, I found true happiness and joy. It was not the poverty that brought me happiness, but the joy I found inside myself. It is the smallest of events that bring me the most joy. This inner peace comes from self-love, acceptance and letting go of what does not serve you.

Don't get me wrong, I love nice things. I love fine food, appreciate beautiful cars, furnishings, and clothing. Those material things do not light me up, ignite my fire or make me feel alive. Happiness is fleeting when it comes from things. A new car or brand new home might make you happy for a short while, but this happiness is fleeting. Lasting happiness comes from something unseen.
Grand Canyon, Arizona, 2013

I have had money, lost it and had money again. Living the simplest of lifestyles, focusing on myself rather than someone else, personal growth, spirituality and internal happiness have brought me the greatest joy and bliss in my life. Guiding others to come into loving acceptance of themselves is what lights me on fire! It does not matter any more where I live, what type of housing I live in or what material things I have. I am happy. I am completely happy alone and no longer have feelings longing, emptiness or loneliness.
Mojave desert, California at sunset, my home

I used to think a relationship would make me happy. A relationship actually brought me more pain and suffering, until I fell in love with myself. Our partners trigger us and bring up our unresolved issues. They provide us the mirror to our soul. We project our issues onto the other person. We often blame our wife, husband or partner for making us feel badly. Yet it is our own past trauma that hasn't been cleared.
Jennifer and Karma, Santa Barbara, California

When you don't love and accept yourself, you attract someone else who is doesn't love and accept themselves. We have to take responsibility for our own happiness instead of expecting our relationship or partner to do it for us. No one can make you happy, but you. Until you are happy with you, I hate to tell you, but you won't be permanently happy with anyone, or anything. You will be left longing and wanting and won't know what you are longing for.

I tried therapy, a psychiatrist and burying it. None of those things helped. Avoidance may mask your issues for a while, but eventually your body will become sick from holding onto all the emotional baggage, resentment and unforgiveness. Cancer is what usually grabs people's attention, but by then most people don't have the energy to do the soul searching and healing required to heal their disease. Resentment and anger cause cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, Fibromyalgia and Epstein Barr disease. Self love heals them all. Until the emotional and mental aspects of cancer are healed within the body, traditional chemotherapy and surgery will only be a temporary band aid, not a cure. Healing the past is the only way.

Begin loving yourself today:

  1. Let go of condemnation of yourself & others.
  2. Stop being critical of yourself and others.
  3. Live in the present. Let go of the past.
  4. Be grateful for what you have. Every day.
  5. Forgive yourself and everyone else.
  6. Let go of perfectionism. it is kinder to you.
  7. Let go of control It is fear based.
  8. Focus on you.
  9. Don't blame others.
  10. Take responsibility for your feelings.
  11. Be aware, watch what you say and think.
  12. Allow yourself to feel your emotions fully, crying cleans out the old and makes you feel better.
  13. Meditate daily.
  14. Use positive affirmations.
  15. Be positive.
  16. Don't complain, no one wants to hear it anyway. It just makes you feel bad.
  17. Love what you are doing, do what you love!
  18. Learn to laugh at yourself, you might be surprised how much fun you are.
  19. Get moving. Exercise makes you feel good.
  20. Get outdoors and breathe deeply.
  21. Sing, dance, and play. Life is supposed to be fun
  22. Listen to your heart instead of your mind.
  23. Give yourself space to heal. Nurture you.
  24. Keep your thoughts loving.
  25. Keep yourself filled up with love from within. When we come to the party already full we aren't needy, grasping or controlling.

Opening your heart and letting go of control, perfectionism, condemnation, and criticism will release a lot of negativity for you. Returning thoughts to loving thoughts, and staying positive is key. Use a simple mantra when you begin to think or say negative things. My favorite is, "I LOVE ME!" It is simple and reminds us that we already have all we need inside, we just need to remember.

Praise For Jennifer

In March 2012, I began coaching with Jennifer. I got my heart broken repeatedly and I didn’t know why. After several clearings, I discovered that I had past life issues that needed to be cleared to attract the love I wanted and knew I deserved. Jennifer helped me to set goals and helped me realize my thoughts were focused in areas that did not support me. I found myself through Jennifer’s coaching. I became this strong woman that was buried deep inside me. I have found my confidence and inner power through my work with Jennifer. I knew what I wanted and Jennifer helped me to discover that I deserved it. After 3 months with Jennifer, I called her to say HE had arrived!

He was someone I had always known, but never noticed before. We started to really connect. It was like magic. It literally happened overnight. He is everything I have been dreaming of and I know this man is here for me forever. He is so into me and says all the things to me that I had prayed for.I am a much stronger woman and have learned so many great tools from Jennifer that I will continue to use every day. I’m confident, strong, happy, peaceful and healed (finally). Thank you, Jennifer will continue to do clearings with you when things in life come up. Blessings Cindy M., Knightsen, CA
