Looking For A Bad Boy?

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Women think that they know what they want. We look for and seek out the sexy, hard edged bad boy. When he treats us badly and sleeps with our best friend, or mother, we wonder what the hell happened? Yet, what do we expect? We picked someone who is a rebel, selfish, self centered and disloyal. Why are some women like the moth to the flame? We can't wait to self destruct? Afterwards, we cry to our friends about what an ass hole the guy was. When unconsciously we knew all along that this person would show us his true colors.

Sean Penn

Having been one of these women in the past, I longed for the sexy, hard-edged bad boy. The one all women would be attracted to. Women have a tendency to throw themselves at bad boys, at least I did. When we pick the really HOT GUY, usually there are many women vying for his attention and affection. The problem is that these bad boys are only reflecting back to us, the way we feel about ourselves - self destructive, self sabotaging and hateful.

Yes, when we look for the bad boys, we do it because we hurt ourselves with our thoughts. We are self sabotaging. We attract someone to us that will hurt us the way we hurt ourselves. These bad boys are only a reflection of the inner workings of our mind. We feel unworthy for someone who will treat us like a Queen, so we attract a man who will show us our unworthiness. They will prove to us that a man can't be faithful to us. We feel undeserving, and they reflect that right back to us. These men don't apologize and are never at fault, they blame their women for their issues, whether they are alcohol related or sexual indiscretions.

Self loathing is something we don't like to admit. When we expect perfection in ourselves, we are filled with an inner self loathing. We don't accept ourselves as we are. If you are one of these women who always seems to lean towards the bad boys, this is showing you your own lack of self worth. We constantly tell ourselves we are not good enough. We beat ourselves up, looking to be perfect but miss the mark entirely.
Fast Life, fast cars, James Dean consummate bad boy

The truth is we are already perfect as we are. We are perfect in our imperfection. We have nothing to change, nothing to heal. All we have to do is begin to love and accept ourselves as we are. When we let go of our need to be perfect, we recognize we have already arrived. We are already there. We have already WON!

What Others Think of YOU is none of your business!

Worrying about what others think of us shows us our lack of self love. When you truly love yourself, you don't need to be validated by the outside world, your parents, siblings or friends. You already know who you are and are happy with you. Focusing on what others think shows you that you have not stepped into your personal power. Your power is in there, under the insecurities. It needs to be dusted off so that you can see your sparkly interior. Seeing the beauty within you, loving what you see, rather than chastising yourself, or feeling loathing or hatred when you look at yourself naked is key. We have to love all of us, not just a piece or a portion. We can't cut off an arm, leg or a part of ourselves that we don't like. We all have faults, personality traits that aren't stellar and need some tender loving care.

Looking at ourselves with a soft focus instead of the Mother Superior with the metal edged ruler that beats us every time we don't choose well. Instead loving acceptance and compassion for who we are leads to fulfillment and internal permanent happiness.

Eventually......We Begin To Learn

I used to go for the bad boys. I was married to a couple of them. They were not faithful. They treated me badly. They treated ME the way I treated myself inside. I didn't respect myself and they were disrespectful to me. It was all mirrored right back to me. All they were doing was reflecting back to me my internal circuitry of insecurity, lack of self worth and self hatred. I thought I loved myself. I didn't. Loving yourself is not just saying, "I love me." It is feeling it in the depth of your soul from the deepest part of your being. When you love yourself, you love life. You have a passion for living that makes everything come alive. Your purpose is evident. You live on purpose each day in every moment. You live in the present connected to your own Divinity within you. You feel connected to everything and love everyone. Loving acceptance of you, means you stop judging and CRITICISING  you and everyone else as well.

It is So Much Easier To See Fault In Others

When our self esteem is low, we easily see fault in everyone else. We point out other's mistakes. We try to change others. This focus on others takes the focus off ourselves. Seeing fault in others means you are in denial of your own issues. Denial is one of the underlying signs of addiction. Codependency is an addiction. Being addicted to relationships - needing to be in a relationship because of neediness is the worst reason to be in one.  Instead love yourself first. When you love you completely accepting all of yourself you will begin to radiate that light of love out into the world. When you do, you will attract healthy balanced men into your life, rather than one who is addicted, abusive or will cheat on you.

The Big AHA - We Mirror Each Other

When I began to realize that every relationship I had was just a reflection of how I felt about myself, my world began to change. I realized I was not a victim. Everyone was not out to get me, as I previously thought. The Universe was not hateful. It was just confirming to me the thoughts that I had. When I began to focus on positive thoughts and asked questions instead of making closed ended statements, it was like magic. Good things began to materialize for me in all areas of my life. Instead of saying to myself life is hard, I began to see how life worked FOR ME! I began to manifest in the moment when I asked: "How can I effortlessly and easily (have /create or receive) _________."

I did not have to control everything and everyone. I didn't have to try and change my partner, my children or my mother or make anyone better. I was in denial of my own sense of worth. It was far easier to look at others and see all their imperfections thinking that I was helping them

When you can let go of what everyone else is dong and focus instead on yourself, you look within to see why you are triggered by something someone else does or says? You recognize that the reaction you had is YOURS! Hence when you are angered by something - you are not a victim, you are just experiencing an internal issue of your own surfacing. When someone cuts you off on the road, if you get angry it is not that they are doing something TO YOU, your internal issues of being powerless are coming up for you to see. You are not powerless. Obviously that person was in a much bigger hurry and needed to get where they were going faster than you. That is all. It is something to put some love into. Acceptance and forgiveness for you.

The next time you look at a hot guy that you know in your heart will screw around on you, have compassion for you and love yourself some more. Look at where you have abandonment issues. Remember how Jennifer Anniston felt when Brad had an affair with Angelina Jolie. Awful! Sure he was cute. Yes he was hot, but he broke her heart. Is this what you want for yourself?

Love is not supposed to hurt. Love does not ridicule, disrespect, abuse, abandon, or cause harm.

Begin Loving You Right NOW!

  1. Let go of trying to be perfect.
  2. Stop worrying about what others think about you.
  3. Focus on the positive.
  4. Look at yourself with eyes of love.
  5. Stop beating yourself up with thoughts and words.
  6. Soften your focus. Think of yourself as a newborn baby. You would not beat up, or think negatively about a newborn baby, neither should you of yourself.
  7. Know you are already ENOUGH!
  8. You are WORTHY!

If you continue to attract men that treat you badly, it is time for you to hire a coach that can help you change your perspective. You don't have to change. Instead, begin to look at yourself with a softer gaze. Let go of the baseball bat and the magnifying glass that you view yourself through. Jennifer has healed her own self loathing and low self esteem. She has been where you are and has compassion and understanding for you. At the same time, Jennifer will be direct, clear and help you see things differently. The Positive Side of Sexual Dysfunction

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

BUY NOW

Sex can be wonderful when things go well. It can feel like a nightmare when a penis doesn't function like we think it should. Sex can be frustrating when a woman struggles with orgasm. Sexual dysfunction can happen to anyone. There are many reasons for issues with sexual mishaps or mis-fires.

HTP - The Hair Trigger Penis

The Hair Trigger Penis, is a phrase I have coined because it sounds so much more fun than Premature Ejaculation. When Quick Draw McGraw shows up for a sexual encounter, most women sigh with disappointment. It can be hugely frustrating when a woman just begins to feel arousal happening and her male counterpart, comes too quickly. For those men who have had this issue, you already know that age does not cure it. Time does not change it and thinking about it does nothing either.

The underlying cause of Premature Ejaculation - HTP is rage. Yes, sir! It is rage. When you clear the anger away that is deep inside and hidden, this issue goes away. Most of you are not even aware that there is deep anger or rage brewing beneath your calm exterior. However, there are as many men who are quite aware that they are like a wood stove that somebody threw Kerosene on, volatile!

One of the issues that I help men with is HTP. I have several different ways to clear this issue. However, you have to seek help. I recently talked to a woman who's partner is an alcoholic. He has always had the issue of HTP. Sex is over before she has even gotten close to an orgasm. Without a vibrator, her personal savior, she would be a very frustrated and angry woman. Please men, do something about it. It is not her fault that you come too quickly. This is your issue. Do something about it. Get some help. Hire a sex therapist. Hire me.

Erectile Dysfunction

We all have heard of Viagra. There are other pills that have been created to fix a soft penis.

Millions of men have faced the embarrassment of having a penis that won't get hard. It can be that you are not attracted to the person you are trying to have sex with. It could be that you feel guilty for having sex with this person. It could also be that you are in a repeating paradigm because of a previous malfunction and have replicated the fear over and over. You need to have the programming changed. Having the issues cleared and working with NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) I can usually eliminate the issue within two to three sessions. Each person is different, however, I have had great luck with NLP and an energy clearing.  I am not an advocate of taking medicine when it is not necessary. I prefer to get to the root of the issue. Medicines often mask the underlying issue - like placing a band aid over a chain saw cut. It doesn't really fix the problem.

Some Causes of ED are the following:

  1. Diabetes
  2. Heart Disease
  3. Overweight
  4. Poor Diet
  5. Emotional Reasons
  6. Fear of ED
  7. Repeating Fear of ED
  8. Guilt for cheating
  9. Guilt for having sex with this person
  10. Not being attracted to your partner
  11. Extreme Fatigue
Women Who Can't Orgasm

There are just as many reasons why a woman can't reach orgasm as there are for Erectile Dysfunction. Most often the reason is psychological. Sexual Trauma in childhood can cause a woman to have fear stuck in her body. There are ways to heal this issue. I discuss them in my new book, Orgasm For Life.

Most women need 20 - 40 minutes to reach orgasm. Most men last between 2 and 10 minutes. See the problem?

Women need their sexual energy raised. They need romance, to be told they are beautiful, and to be turned on outside the bedroom and romanced in her mind, before her body begins to get turned on. Women are different than men, in more than their physical attributes. Our wiring is completely different. We need intimacy to have sex. Where men need sex to have intimacy. Our minds need to be in the game. We need to focus on the moment, rather than all the things we did not do during the day and that may still face us tomorrow. We need to relax, focus and breathe. Most women have issues with all the above. 80% of women fake it for a reason. 40% of women have some type of sexual dysfunction. Find out how to turn her on tonight on my podcast....  here are a few ways to get you started.

  1. Breathe through an open mouth.
  2. Be present in the moment.
  3. Move your hips.
  4. Squeeze the pelvic floor muscles rhythmically.
  5. Make sounds.
  6. Focus on what is happening in the bedroom - rather than the chores you did not do.
  7. Make eye contact with your partner. (Some women disassociate during sex - like leaving their body - rather than being and staying present)

Is Celibacy Ego-Centered?

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Last week on Jamillah A. Shabazz radio show I ruffled quite a few feathers by saying that being celibate was ego centered.

Jamillah A. Shabazz  a channel of John Christopher in LA, asked me to return today. There was a flurry of e-mails, requests and a bunch of upset women, who preferred that I not return to her show. She told me, nobody was going to tell her what to do.  We talked about celibacy, spirituality and tantra.

Jamillah also invited comedian Darryl Moody, also a life coach who practices the art of Tantra to join the show today.

On the show several women expressed that they were waiting for THE ONE to show up. When we sit waiting for THE ONE, how do you know when the perfect man (for you) does show up? When you expect him to appear in a certain form and he shows up, shorter than you wanted, with less money than you dreamed of and maybe younger, or older than what you had envisioned what then?

Holding Out For THE ONE?

We miss the boat when we are holding out for ONE person. There may be several for you that you ignore or turn away, because they don't appear before you dressed in the clothes you imagined. The Universe knows far better than we do what we need. We always get what we need, not necessarily what we want.

Are You Missing The Boat, The Helicopter and The Rescue?

There was a joke about the man who's house was flooding. He prayed for help. He climbed up onto the roof and refused to climb into a boat that came by to assist him. He also refused the helicopter when it was offered, thinking that God would rescue him. He also refused to climb into the life raft that came by. The waters continued to rise. When he reached the pearly gates of Heaven, St. Peter asked him, why did you not get in the boat, helicopter or life raft. The man said, I was waiting for God to rescue me. St. Peter asked him, "Who do you think sent the boat, the helicopter and the life raft?"

It has been my experience that many women often bypass the best men, thinking that the bad boys are preferable. Then later wonder why these men cheated on them. Sometimes the best men are right in front of you, but you pass them by thinking that they are not perfect or right for you.

Sometimes, we are sent just the person that we need to open our hearts, allow us to soften and grow and maybe have some fun along the way. Yet, we fail to see these people as "right" for us. I have witnessed women who go through my Love Yourself Fearlessly program and after week 4 notice the man that was right in front of them the whole time. When they love and accept themselves they begin to open up to accepting others more easily as well.

Being Right and Losing Out

Of the many women that I have interviewed who were holding out on their husbands, they felt that they were superior in some way to their husbands. Or they felt that their husband was not doing what they wanted him to do, or not being who they wanted him to be. Sometimes, women are just angry for reasons unknown to even themselves. We sometimes have irrational feelings that we focus on our men. It isn't even anything they did. Sometimes it has to do with who they remind us of. Thinking that we are right, can leave us disconnected from our hearts. Being right or thinking that we are right, is also ego centered.

Acceptance is Loving

What if we are just supposed to be accepting? What then? What if our partners are accepting us the way we are, and we are not accepting them the way they are? What does that say about us?

What if, we were to die tonight while we sleep? What would we then feel about our lives? Would we feel good about the way we loved and accepted our partners, or would we wish that we had allowed ourselves to open up more, be more authentic and accepting?

Life is short. Thinking that we are better than another, or superior in some way, is simply ego centered. Keeping yourself apart from the opposite sex and celibate could mean that you hate men. It could mean you have resentment that needs to be healed and let go of. Holding onto resentment can cause cancer and other diseases. Instead open up your heart. Make love and allow yourself some pleasure. When your husband gives you that look, smile at him instead of pushing him away. Reach out and embrace him. Pull him to you, rather than rejecting his advances. Your conversations afterward will be so much deeper, loving and move you towards deeper intimacy instead of away from one another.

Lighten Up And Enjoy Life A Little More

Sex can not only bring you closer together, but can enhance your health. Sex can be fun. Sex can relieve depression. Sex can reduce pain, eliminate migraine headaches and help you sleep better.

Pleasure Without Pain

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

When we think of sex, most of us think of pleasure, orgasm, release and smile. When sex is painful, these thoughts do not come to mind.

Pain during intercourse is referred to as Dyspareunia. When Dyspareunia is present, no amount of lubrication will help. Vaginal atrophy due to extremely low levels of estradiol is typically, but not always the cause. Little research has been done on this subject. Yet millions of women experience it.

There are other reasons for extreme vaginal pain during sex. Psychological reasons often present as pain in the pelvic floor as well as vagina. Burning, extreme discomfort make sex impossible. When your partner says it hurts, stop. Pushing through is not possible.

I experienced Dyspareunia. When it occurred two things were present. No connection with my partner and very low levels of estradiol. Post menopausal women often have vaginal atrophy. The tissue in the vagina begins to thin, become fragile and frail. Lubrication does not make these symptoms disappear.

Painful Sex In Young Women

Some of my clients are young woman, under the age of 25. When pain presents in a young woman the reason it usually, but not always psychological. It is possible for a young woman to have low estrogen, but not typical.

Young girls are often chastised by parents for "whoring around." Even when they are not having sex, hyper vigilant mothers can program their daughters with unhealthy sexual programs. "Men only want one thing!" "Where have you been? Have you been having sex?" When parents (especially mothers) pound these thoughts into a young girl's mind, these negative belief systems become lodged in the body. It sounds strange, or weird. However when you recognize that our bodies are made up of cells, each with memory, this is not inconceivable.

When our mothers were raped, or sexually molested themselves as children, they may have negative programming themselves. They pass on to their daughters these negative belief systems. Each time sexually demeaning and condemning words are spoken with vehemence and shame - these words have a lot more power. The shame is imbedded in the vaginal wall.

I recently worked with a woman who did not have sex until she was 22, due to her mother's programming. When she finally did have sex, it was excruciatingly painful. This feeling did not diminish with time. Sex is impossible for her, without clearing the programming and cellular tissue.

How Can This Be Healed?

For Young Women

For young women, the programming that has been imbedded in the cellular walls needs to be released through an energy clearing. Once that is done, gentle physical healing needs to be done by a professional tantrika or lover that has been educated by a professional. The movie BLISS explains the situation well, if you are interested. This movie stars Terrance Stamp as the trained professional. I detail in my book Orgasm For Life, what needs to be done, gently and slowly, with breath. A letting go process needs to happen.

Post-Menopausal Women

For women who have been through menopause natural supplements can be taken. To speed up the process an Estradiol ring can be placed within the vagina which stays in place for 90 days, emitting Estradiol. This relieves the pain and plumps up the cell walls.

Painful sex is not fun. If your partner experiences this, consider the options and talk about getting the help you need. As a young person, life without sex is not fully living. Once a woman has crossed the menopausal threshold, she may be okay without having sex. For me, it was not an option. I took steps to change the chemistry in my body. Once estrogen has been raised, having sex with regularity will keep the vagina young and healthy. Regular sex must occur after menopause to do this. Having sex once a month is not enough to keep hormone levels high enough in postmenopausal women. Sex must occur at least twice a week to keep the estrogen levels in range for sexual function.

Wishing you and yours a Happy and Safe July 4th

For those who have been following me for a long time, you know that July 4th was the day that my daughter's father (my ex husband) passed away. He was an avid Peachtree runner. Running 26 Peachtree Road Races in a row, always on July 4th, in Atlanta, Georgia. Interesting that he chose July 4th to leave. My daughter is having a difficult time right now, having graduated from High School, on her way to begin college, just turned 18 all without her father.

As a single mother, sending a teen off to college, never mind a cooking school is challenging enough. She needs tags and insurance for her father's truck, books, supplies, college dorm bedding, a lap top computer and a stipend for food each month. Her college is costing $50,000. If you feel so inclined to assist Ariel out, with any of her expenses here is the link to her fund. This money is for Ariel Resuta.

July 1st, 2014 Mercury Retrograde Turns Direct

Mercury completed its second retrograde journey for 2014 today, July 1st, and stationed back into direct motion at 8:50 AM EDT - do I hear a BIG SIGH OF RELIEF out there ??? ... hopefully the emotional and mental disorientation and confusion while Mercury was retrograde in the "water" sign of Cancer and then in the "air" sign of Gemini will now begin to clear as it is time to ease back into the forward swing of things on all levels ... over the next few days to the next few weeks or even months, there will most likely be some "a-ha" lights coming on in regard to decisions made during the retrograde period from 6/7 through today 7/1 and possibly as far back as 5/22 when Mercury entered its shadow point - the point where it would come out of the retrograde journey today which was at 24 degrees of Gemini ... or did issues and complications or questioning arise in regards to things done during the last retrograde period from February 6th - February 28th ??? ... or maybe even as far back as the retrograde period from October 21st - November 10th, 2013 ??? ... if you've had a natal chart done, you should look to see in what house or houses 3 degrees Cancer back down to 24 degrees Gemini falls - what kinds of issues did you have to deal with in the areas of life governed by those houses ??? ... how many of you went with the flow and how many of you tried to swim upstream in the raging current of Cosmic confusion ???
The recurring question we may find ourselves asking now that Mercury is back in direct motion is "WHY" ??????? ...What actions did you take or were taken against you that you may now be regretting or simply wondering why you chose to do or wondering why you were the victim of that particular course of action, and why didn't you or the other person wait a little longer or are simply now trying to figure out why it happened ???? .... did you make any major purchases - homes, cars, electronics - that now don't seem like the best thought out course of action ??? ... there could be problems regarding any purchases made with anything where electrical energy and/or computers were involved .... relationships may have come to an end - some needed to and others may have jumped the gun and you are now wondering, or will be, why did I do that or end things at this point ... and how many of you got married - OOPSIE !!! ... all of these scenarios are possible as the energy of a Mercury retrograde is one where communications and mental energy is going "backwards" ...
While Mercury was retrograde in Cancer did anyone have issues arise including : your home, parents, family, foundations, psychological roots, personal security, property - houses and/or real estate, for some the closing years of life, and endings of any kind ... these are all issues addressed in the 4th house of the zodiac naturally ruled by Cancer ...
While Mercury completed its retrograde journey in the sign of Gemini, which it reentered on June 17th, did anyone encounter issues including all forms of communication, as these surely got crossed and frequently especially since this is what normally gets affected in a Mercury retrograde regardless of the sign it is in ??? ... with the keyword of the 3rd house being "awareness", were there times when you seemed to be "lost in a fog" and not processing clearly ??? ... in addition, did anyone have issues regarding your local environment, brothers and sisters, all means of transportation especially in relation to short trips, and the adaptability of ones mind to learn and understand new ideas ???
In regards to overall health, remember Mercury is the natural planetary ruler of the 6th house which rules health, so in addition to health issues in general during which are quite possible during a Mercury retrograde, while in Cancer did anyone have issues in the areas of the breast and stomach ??? ... while Mercury was retrograde in Gemini did anyone have health issues flaring up regarding the hands, arms, shoulders and lungs ???
Gemini and Virgo born, yet another period of review and reflection for you has come to an end ... how have you been enlightened ??? ... your ruling planet now resumes forward motion and much to your delight so will you !!!
Just a reminder of what the energy of Mercury in Gemini is all about :
"Mercury in Gemini gives a mind and tongue that can be very restless but very good at absorbing and learning information easily and then sharing it ... one can be quite articulate but sometimes have the tendency to talk or even gossip too much ... there is a skill for verbal expression and the ability to communicate quickly and cleverly ... often the ideas and manner of speech come off a bit superficial due to the urge to communicate perceived information immediately or because one is covering too much ground ... this energy is all about learning and communicating ... there is a high degree of curiosity about everything coupled with an eagerness to learn as much as possible - the world is ones school of life and therein exists a sumptuous, endless and delicious banquet of knowledge !!! ... the mind is likely to be logical, rational, and able to offer information on most any topic ... friendly interchanges are frequent along with the tendency to ask a lot of questions ... there is a high degree of nervous energy which can flow into speech, gestures, writing or manual dexterity in some fashion ... there is also the possibility of physical dexterity and flexibility ...
Those born with Mercury in Gemini, as well as the rest of us that are subject to its transiting influence, can be very hard to pin down ... one often holds down more than one job or may work on a number of projects at one time ... quick, versatile and interested in the world at large, one tends to live mostly on a mental plane ... one MUST have facts and information - there is a basic need to KNOW ... this energy frequently makes one good at languages and math, gives one a love of reading, studying , traveling, and talking with new people about what you have learned or are thinking about ... there is also the potential for a lack of being able to stick-to-it as well as a lack of order in ones life ... usually this energy can produce one who knows a little bit about everything but not a lot about anything !!!
Mercury in Gemini teaches us to learn to think through communicating ... the mind is fed and nurtured through making contact with as many people and as many subjects as possible ... the intellect is wired up and ready to go ... it must constantly be stimulated otherwise nervous irritability or restlessness can occur ... the mind is efficient due to its ability to be quick and acquisitive, but the quality of the mind is only as good as what is being fed into it through social, business and educational pursuits - input becomes just as important as output !!! ... there is the capability of thinking on two or more levels at one time ... but one must guard against not having a definite direction to move in or else there can be the result of great mental confusion ..."
Mercury remains in direct motion until October 4th ... it remains in the sign of Gemini until July 12th/13th, depending in which time zone you live, and then reenters, to complete its full transit through, the sign of Cancer ...
Mercury is now moving forward to exit its retrograde zone which will occur on July 15th when it returns to 3 degrees Cancer ... Mercury is indeed back in forward motion gaining momentum to return to full speed at that point ...
Now that Mercury has resumed forward motion, the Personal Planet (Mercury,Venus, Mars) Retrograde Flip Flop sequence, which I addressed in my blog back on September 30th of last year, is now concluded for all intents and purposes ... both Mercury and Mars still have to exit their respective retrograde zones - Mercury on the 15th and Mars on the 21st ... nevertheless, it is time to begin to move onward and upward and what good timing this is ... we enter the month of July which is going to be full of multiple planetary energies that will certainly require our attention and sharp focus in order to process and positively incorporate into our lives ... SO ... if you missed my post yesterday appropriately entitled "Aspects & Ingresses & Stations ... Oh Myyyy", or simply ignored it - FOR SHAME !!! - now would be an excellent time to go back and read it ... and why ??? ... because, as Mercury surely understands, KNOWLEDGE IS POWER !!!

The Art Of Surrender

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Many of us fight with life, others and ourselves. Letting go of the need to be right, or fix a situation comes from our small selves, our ego-mind. If you are at war with an ex, a community, or person, try surrendering and see the amazing results. We can only see a situation in 2, possibly 3 dimensions. Yet, The Universe can send us a resolution we never dreamed of. The power of surrender can change a situation instantly.

I recently met with a client who told me that she has felt the need to speak out, stand up and go to war with teams, communities and friends. Boy, oh boy, I do remember feeling that I needed to fight with my exes. I fought for custody, money and material things. Looking back there are many things that I am able to see through new eyes. As we relinquish control we let go of fear and stand in faith. When we have faith that all will work out for every one's best - it magically does.

Let me tell you my extraordinary experience with surrender. It will change the way you think about divorce, marriage, relationships and life in general. Life is not supposed to be one big war. Our smaller selves, make it that way. When we have inner conflict, we fight with others. We try to change situations. We attempt to extract our own agenda. When we are at war there is no harmony in our lives, or within us. Peace does not come to those who are at war.

Win The Battle Lose The Relationship War

When I divorced my third ex-husband, Rich Resuta, I felt vindicated, I felt right. He was abusive, controlling and had affairs. He lied, cheated and did not want to pay child support. I wanted to make him pay. I wanted to make him pay for what he did to me. I was angry after our marriage ended. I had good reason to be, so I thought.

Rich insisted on shared custody. In this scenario, he did not have to pay child support. Each time we went to court, he won. When we met with the mediator, the mediator asked me to step out of the room and made a side deal with my ex. I was flabbergasted. This type of thing should NEVER happen in a mediated situation. I studied, did my homework and even bought a book, "Custody War." I was at war.

I fought for full custody, which is what my 7-year old daughter wanted. She cried every Sunday night when she was with me, knowing the very next day after school her father would have her for the next week. She had no roots, no home, because she was like a ping pong ball going back and forth between us. When she got sick, Rich had no idea what to do. I had to go to his house and bring Ariel whatever she needed at the time. I had to comfort her on numerous occasions.

Ariel would cry at his house wanting me. She missed me. So I fought for her rights. The guardian ad litem did not believe a word I said, or anything Ariel said. Thinking that Rich was telling the truth. When Ariel spoke up about what she wanted, the guardian thought I was filling her head with ideas, because that was what Rich told her. He schmoozed her. Flirted with her and kept the truth from her. So I fought for Ariel.

Each time I went to court, I spent almost $10,000. Hearing after hearing, I would leave the court in tears. I never won. I always left feeling that I had my face down in the dirt. I felt lowly. I felt beaten.

It was after a particularly long and grueling battle, where I asked friends, family members for letters about my parenting, and my relationship with my daughter. I was armed with photos of our life together, with animals, pets, and her brothers. I prepared for months. I toiled over the book with the letters and photos. Handing it over to the court system, I waited for the verdict. Shared custody remained. I felt shattered. On the way home, I had a conversation with my high self. I asked questions. I got answers.

Surrender - Where The Magic Begins

October 18th, 7 years after the onset of our custody battle, I made a huge decision that would change my life. Upon returning to my daughter, I told her I was giving up the fight. I was putting my boxing gloves away. Every time I fought, I lost. I knew there was a huge message here for me. I told Ariel she needed to tell her father what she wanted. I would no longer go to court to try to win. She felt hurt. She felt I did not want her to live with me full time. I told her that was not it at all. Of course I loved her. I wanted her to have a steady home, in one place more than ever. I just chose to not fight with her father any more.

Rich had moved in with his sister across town. It took him 45 minutes to drive Ariel to school during rush hour. I did not question his choice. I let it go. Ariel complained to me about the long drive, but she loved begin near her aunt and uncle. I knew that some good would come out of this.

Three months later almost to the day, Rich called me at 9:00 AM. I will never forget his words. "Do you still want Ariel to live with you full time?" "DO I?!!!!" I was ecstatic. "Of course, I do." Rich told me that his financial situation had taken a bad turn. He had to move in with someone. He would not be able to have Ariel stay wherever he was living. He moved in with his girlfriend, but was very private about that part. I did not ask. I knew he felt lost, sad and very disheartened about not having Ariel with him every other week. He had tried very hard to maintain a home in a very difficult economy. Both of us had contracting businesses. His was high-end residential home building. Mine was landscaping. Both of us had taken a huge hit financially because of the downturn of the economy.

Ariel had to wait till the end of the day to talk to me. She had to sit squirming in her desk at school with the excitement in her heart about her wishes being fulfilled. When we finally got together at the end of the day, we embraced each other and burst into tears. It had taken 7 years of fighting and three months of surrender, but Ariel got her wish.

Surrender is letting go. Surrender is having faith that everything will work out in spite of our ego-selves. Surrender is taking your firm grip off the steering wheel of life and allowing The Universe to work things out for every one's highest and best.

The Universe (God, The Divine, Allah) knows so much better what we need. We might not get what we want all the time, but we certainly get what we need.

We can't live in our passion when we have a firm grip on the steering wheel. When we align our hearts and minds with The Universal Mind (The God Mind) we step into the flow of life. We stop fighting and we begin to really LIVE!

What I learned from this experience is that fighting or warring to get what I want will always and in every way land me face down in the dirt. Surrender allows magic to happen and events to unfold that are exquisite. The Universe is always and in every way working FOR you. When we fight, we get fight back. When we fight, we are in conflict with ourselves. When we let go and let God (take over) we are in the FLOW. It is a journey of faith, trust and miracles. I would rather live with miracles that war. I learned my lesson, the hard way.

I am grateful for this lesson. After receiving a particularly hard one, I always say a prayer of thanks. Being grateful for our lessons, allows life to unfold in a softer way. When we push our energy, we only know of two outcomes. The Universe has infinite outcomes at her disposal. When we let go, we also let go of suffering, resistance and fear. Faith is where we stand, strong.

Loving Yourself Makes You More Beautiful

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Want to look and feel more beautiful? All it takes is a little more love.

Most of us are our own worst critic. We focus on the little bulge around our middle, our crows feet or other imperfections. It is amazing how letting go of trying to be perfect will take years off your face. You begin to look softer, younger and certainly more radiant.

When we focus  on our negative traits, we create acidity in our body. We worry, become uptight, rather than relaxed about life. Our anxiety over the small details not being perfect change everything we eat into acid. Even our thoughts are acidic. Acidity creates disease. Cancer and other diseases thrive in an acid environment.

To be able to love yourself, you have to let go of a few things. When we recognize that it's okay that we aren't perfect, there is only one being that fits that bill, and it ain't us! We can relax a little more. We can be the best mom we can be, without having to be perfect. We can be the best life coach we can be without having to be perfect.

I will tell you a little story........  I used to try to be perfect. I used to look to others to validate me, especially my parents, even into adulthood. When I realized that others do not create my self worth, I do, I let go of trying to please anyone else but myself. It does not mean I am selfish, I just don't have to be liked by you, to love myself. I'm okay with that. Not everyone is going to like someone like me. I might push buttons, make you cry by being near you. That could make you feel uncomfortable.

I let go of looking to others for my self worth. I look within instead. I know I am loved. I have a deep connection with The Divine inside me. I feel deeply connected to nature, all the time. This connection fills me up. I don't feel empty or lonely - ever. That changed for me in 2012. I know I am never, ever alone. I know I am always loved. I love and accept all parts of myself - even though I have faults. I don't have to be perfect to love me. I have come to accept myself as I am, without trying to change me. It also means I don't attempt to CHANGE OTHERS either. That is what unconditional love is. TO LOVE NO MATTER WHAT. Love is not based on good behavior.

When my oldest son and his girlfriend were going through a difficult time, they lived with us for a while. Klarissa was a sweet and beautiful young woman, but had very low self esteem. She agreed to help me with my website (my old one). She was extremely creative and gifted in many ways. When she wanted my feedback, she found my ADD distracting. Yes, I have the innate ability to focus on 10 things at one time.....  maybe not effectively, but I am easily distracted and I have to work very diligently to stay on point, focused and complete a task. Amazing isn't it that I have written two books and have created so many blogs? It still surprises me at times. Some of my blogs may be very focused and to the point, where others tend to wander a little. I have let go of the perfectionism.

Klarissa said to me at one point when she was working with me, "You may find your ADD cute, but it is very distracting!" What she failed to understand, is that I had embraced my imperfection. I knew I had ADD, but I loved that part of me anyway. Instead of trying to excise it off me, like cutting off an arm (which would be excruciatingly painful.....  I loved that imperfection.) I had to work diligently to focus on one thing at t time and complete it. When I return e-mails I can fixate on one thing, and skip over (or look like I ignored) other questions. I had to explain that I was not trying to be cute with her, but instead I was being loving and accepting of my faults. I had work diligently to stop bashing myself for those things that didn't smell so good, or that weren't absolutely pristine and beautiful. I let go of trying to be perfect. I softened my gaze towards myself. I dropped the proverbial baseball bat and magnifying glass.

Most people focus on their faults and make them bigger than they are. When you begin to love your faults, they become less of an issue. You learn to adapt, or work around those things, like a fear of numbers (which I used to have). I cleared those issues and feel better about them.

Softening your gaze when you look at yourself can be as simple as to stop being such a tough task master for YOU! Look at yourself as if you were a newborn infant. You would not beat up a newborn for crying, or pooping in it's diaper would you? Of course not! So stop beating yourself up love those little idiosyncrasies that you have. We all have them. Stop worrying about what others think about you. It is none of your business anyway.

When you relax and let go of the perfection, you will become more radiant, look younger, more beautiful and live with less pain in your body. Most people think I am 20 years younger than I am....  tally up the age of my kids, you can think I started my family at 14, but I was a little older than that!

Remember you are beautiful. You are worthy. You are love. Love all of you. Accept all of you. Stop beating yourself up with that baseball bat. Stop looking at yourself under the magnifying glass. No one looks very good under the scrutiny of a magnifier.

When we look outside of ourselves for love and acceptance, we will never find it. When we look outside of ourselves for happiness, we will never find permanent or lasting happiness. We may find it for a short while, but it will not last, because our self criticism will show up. We will judge, beat up and scrutinize every detail and beat it up till it dies.

True radiance comes from radiating the love that you are from within. Join me in radiating your inner beauty and looking 20 years younger than we are, live life in joy today. Set up a time to meet with me so you can begin to soften your gaze and love you. If not now, WHEN?
