How To Create Positive Change With Intention, Affirmation and Prayer

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Intention orchestrates the Universe into action to bring us our desires. Affirmations shift our unconscious mind and therefore God, to create what we affirm. Prayer seals all that we desire especially when we ask for the good of all.

When two people come together and pray the same prayer is it more powerful. Think of the power of one thousand, or one million praying the same prayer together. There is hope. Now is the time for us to join in love, rather than hate no matter our race, color, or religious background to create a common good for our country, and the world. Lift your hearts and spirits knowing everything is happening just as it is meant to.

Faith, rather than fear is what is needed.

"For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:20 RSV)

When we gather with our family and pray for the highest good of all, together we are setting the orchestrating power of God and The Universe into action. When we pray together in groups, our prayer is even more powerful.

Love and peace are the highest order in the universe.

I found an excellent article on prayer on the site Ray Stedman.org.

"Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Matthew 18:18

Prayer is like magic. All of our prayers are heard. When we pray for a win-win for two or more people, the prayers are even more powerful. If you know anything about magic, binding spells can be cast to bind someone from having powers. The Bible speaks of binding in Matthew. In Jewish legal phraseology, binding meant that something was forbidden and loosed meant something was allowed.

The universe loves win-win solutions.

Everything is as it needs to be. Nothing is lost. Only when we believe all is lost does it appear that way for the individual. Love surrounds us.
"Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19 RSV)

Remember God is indwelling. When you pray, God hears your prayer because God is in you. Your prayers are never fruitless.

When we sound the same sound together, our prayers are more profound. Whether this is a sound, OM, or a prayer decided in our hearts and repeated together; these prayers are heard and are infinitely more potent than a single person praying alone.

Keep affirmations and prayers simple and positive. Prayer isn't a time for whining or complaining. Complaining doesn't help anyone. God and the universe hear all thoughts and prayers.

Each thought you think and each word you say are heard by God.

How to Pray

A prayer is an act of reverence and faith. You can pray anywhere that you are. I pray before I take off in an airplane, or in my car on a long drive. I pray for those who are being challenged. I pray for my clients. I pray for those who need help and are struggling. I pray for my children and pets. I pray for my town and my neighbors. I pray for our government and police.

Prayer is different than meditation in that we are asking for something. Meditation is when we sit in stillness and listen to the God of our heart for inspiration and messages.

For me, I have a routine I follow to get myself in alignment and prepared to speak with God. I light incense and white candles. My animals settle as they know what is coming. I sit in the same chair each time I pray. I sit upright and breathe silently and slowly with my eyes closed. I take three or four deep breaths each followed by a slow and complete exhalation. Deep breathing brings you into your body fully and the present. You want to be completely present when you pray.

An affirmation for you could be one of all of the following:

I am in perfect alignment with my soul's purpose.

I am always Divinely Guided and supported.

I am wealthy.

I am prosperous.

I am loved.

I am loved

I am safe.

I am vibrantly healthy.

I am secure.

Mother, Father God I ask for the safety and security of each person on this planet. I ask for love and peace to surround each man, woman, child and all of nature. I ask for prosperity, vibrant health and abundance for all. I ask that our governments are guided by love, respect, charity and the safety of all. I ask this in your name. Amen! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

How Procrastination Keeps You From Being Your Own Hero

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

My readers have shared that my best posts seem to be the ones where I share my personal experiences of growth, realization, evolution, and enlightenment. Today's post is a personal experience where I procrastinated for a year on a seemingly small thing which became a huge event. When I finally resolved the issue, I wondered why I waited so long, as I became a hero in my community.

Before enlighenment, chop the wood, light the fires, cook the meals. After enlightenment, chop the wood, light the fires, cook the meals.

I may write about my life openly. The dichotomy is that I am a private person. I hesitate to open my underwear drawer as I call it to express this story with you. My request is that you keep an open mind, reserve judgment and ask yourself where you have done something similar in your life which kept you from your highest good as well?

Procrastination makes mountains out of molehills. The longer we put off doing something to correct the issue, the larger the issue becomes. JEM

Last August a long-time friend asked me to help him financially so he could leave Georgia and travel to California. In return, he would build me a new website. I paid his expenses, and he drove across the country all the way to California. While he was driving, I prepared for his arrival setting up my back bedroom, which was a storage area, cleaning every corner of my home making everything spotless and comfortable for his arrival.

I love a clean and Zen-like home. Because of the work I do from my home, the energy is high, peaceful and serene. When people
come inside, they always remark at how good the energy feels. I meditate daily. I Ascend every day, doing mantras several times a day. I keep my energy high and cleared daily.

Even so, there are certain tasks I would rather not do, cleaning my oven is one of them. In fact, I would rather visit my gynecologist than clean my oven, and that is not a visit I enjoy. So here I was with little time remaining. I sprayed the oven in preparation to clean it but ran out of time to complete the task.

The entire three months my friend lived in my home we avoided using the oven as we were both so busy working on my website that there wasn't time to clean it. The oven cleaner dried and hardened and became a huge mountain for me to overcome. Each time I thought about roasting something in the over, I realized that I had a seemingly insurmountable task to overcome to do so.

Each time I had a thought about the oven it added to the negativity.

Thanksgiving came and went. I couldn't even cook a turkey in my oven for the homeless shelter which is one of my favorite things to do. I felt guilty about not making myself buckle down and just get the job done. The energy of the dirty oven became greater due to my thoughts about it being unfinished. The longer I waited to clean the oven the more difficult the task became.

I created such an energy around the oven-cleaning-event that it was insurmountable. I couldn't muster the energy to take care of the job. Negative energy built up around the oven which had an impact on me. Each time I considered  cooking something baked, I had to tell myself, "Well you can't cook that your oven is still dirty!" I missed making my favorite winter dish roasted Brussels sprouts in olive oil.

I was invited to three potluck dinners where I was asked to bring a desert. I make a killer cheesecake that I knew people would love, but I couldn't do it because my oven was dirty.

An entire year came and went, and I managed to work around my oven. I cooked everything in my toaster oven or on top of my stove for an entire year!

I had been systematically cleaning every nook, cranny and closet in every part of my home beginning in the spring. My closets, refrigerator, and cabinets were zen-like, ordered and spotless; but my oven was still a dark, bleak portal of negativity!

Mercury Retrograde provides the energy to get old energy resolved and released. I decided to use the energy of this Mercury Retrograde to resolve the issue with my oven. The current Mercury Retrograde period ends on September 22nd. I knew I had to resolve the issue before the end of September to use the energy of Mercury to move me along to resolution.

Finally, I was invited to a pool party and celebration of our hosts 40-years of sobriety and drug-free life, in Los Angeles  I knew the time had come to remove the ridiculous mountain weighing down my kitchen and entire home. I had to overcome the huge story I had created and my resistance to finally muster the courage to face my least favorite cleaning task in the entire world.

Following are the steps I took to overcome my resistance:

  1. I created a plan that set myself up for success.
  2. I gave myself the time I needed to ensure ever contingency was covered.
  3. I accepted the invitation to the pot-luck dinner party several days before.
  4. With my RSVP, I committed to fresh baked gluten free vegan cookies which set the wheels in motion for success.
  5. I psyched myself up for the task.
  6. I ran into a snag. I couldn't find the recipe for the banana nut, coconut cookies. I asked several people. I searched the Internet. Not even my daughter could remember the magical cookie recipe that was so delicious.
  7. I decided to raise the bar higher and make black bean brownies instead. I knew they would be a hit, it made me feel better about cleaning the oven. I had tasted them in Georgia at the Naked Healthy event. They were delicious and healthy.
  8. Friday on the way home from the beach I stopped and bought a
roll of paper towels to make my cleaning job easier. I knew I had a pair of rubber gloves from doing Ariel's hair purple.
  9. I got up at 5:30 Saturday morning, making sure I had enough time to clean the oven, buy the ingredients and bake something.
  10. I sprayed the oven while I fed my animals. I gave the spray the full two hours to do its job.
  11. I took the wire racks outside and sprayed them on the concrete patio and left them to work in the heat.
  12. I took the dogs out to the desert and did my dancing - I was still taking care of myself while I worked through the issue.
  13. I used the time cleaning the oven to do mantras, prayers for the highest good of the oven, the bean brownies, and my highest success.
  14. I thought positive, loving thoughts while I cleaned every inch of dirt from the oven.
  15. I carefully made sure I rinsed all chemicals from all four sides of the oven, washing and re-washing again.
  16. Instead of beating myself up while performing the task, I laughed at myself and how difficult I made the job seem in my head.
  17. Rather than hating what I was doing, I had a positive attitude about getting the job completed before Thanksgiving.
  18. I didn't focus on the negative thoughts or think how stupid I was, or how bad a person I was because I had procrastinated.
  19. I lovingly accepted my quirkiness and wrapped love around
    like new!
myself and the work I was doing.
  20. I sprayed the racks off with the garden hose and then scrubbed anything remaining with the scouring pad. They looked amazing!

After over an entire year of procrastinating, thinking about cleaning the oven and how I didn't want to face it, can you guess how long it took me to do the entire job?

In one hour, while listening to an uplifting video, I cleaned the oven to the point that it looked brand new. The job was completed in record time because I had the best tools for the job.

  • I had paper towels, so I didn't have to rinse my sponge out a thousand times.
  • I used a fumeless oven cleaner, so I didn't get toxic chemicals in my nose.
  • I adopted a positive attitude focusing only on the job at hand rather than the negativity of the past.
  • I congratulated and celebrated that I did the job well.
  • I focused only on the present, the clean oven.
I took the time to drive eleven miles to Wal-mart in Lancaster, rather than opting for the convenience of the local higher priced grocery store. I saved over $20.00 by making the trip to Wal-mart. I congratulated myself on taking the longer route rather than the short-cut of the more expensive but convenient store. I didn't opt for the quick fix, as I wouldn't have solved the problem but created another one. I would have felt guilty about spending money I didn't need to.

I continued to take care of my needs every step of the way.

I made the bean brownies according to my son's friend Ndine's recommendations. Ndine is a beautiful soul and owner of BareFood Wellness

She left off the vinegar and pumpkin syrup. Luckily I had pure maple syrup at home. I had never made black bean brownies before but knew they tasted incredible. They are a healthy version of the delicious but sugary treat.

I packed the brownie into my car, allowing them to cool during the hour drive to LA. As I arrived, I had people following me into the kitchen.

A line formed as I cut them into squares. One yoga teacher
named Scott, loaded up a plate with four brownies to share with his table. When people heard I had black bean brownies there were squeals of delight. I was a hero! My brownies were a hit and so appreciated. Every last crumb was eaten. I took home a clean and empty dish.

Isn't it time that you became your own hero? How long are you going to wait be completely aligned with your soul? How long will you wait to have the life, relationship, and love you so desire?

How long will you wait to get your internal self-feeling positive, loving, totally accepted, whole and happy

Isn't it time you stopped putting off being your own hero? Why don't you contact me for your free discovery session to align with your soul essence, feel whole, complete, perfect as you are and confident being you?

Join the thousands I have helped to empower and step into their highest version of themselves, self-actualization. I would love to partner with you to share my wisdom and how I became completely happy, fulfilled and confident in my own skin.

I love you,

5 Ways To Keep That Youthful Glow By Aging Gracefully

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Aging gracefully is more than a spiritual experience, it is a way of life. If you want to turn back the hands of time, these five suggestions will help you remove the ravages of time not only from your face, body, and health but you will feel more vibrant, happy, youthful and alive!

Men before you leave this page thinking this isn't for you, think again. Men need to take care of themselves inside and out too. Men more than women are notorious for not taking care of themselves. Graceful aging is for everyone, no matter how old you are.

This October, I will turn 62. That's right, in less than two months I will celebrate and I mean celebrate my sixty-second birthday. I don't feel old; I feel eighteen inside. When other people tell me they are old, I tell them they can't possibly be because they are younger than me, and I am not OLD!

These photos were just taken, by Timothi Jane Graham in Pasadena California, August 21st, 2016.
None are airbrushed, or altered in any way. Nor have I had facial surgery, lipo, botox or any other such treatment.

No matter how old you are right now, aging is inevitable. How you live your life contributes to the way you look in your Golden Years.

Why should you care? Looking and feeling youthful, happy and vibrant is cause for celebration. Life is so much easier when you are happy, and feeling good. 40% of how you feel is up to you and what you do. When you take care of your soul, you begin to turn back the years. Your face softens, you radiate love from the core of your being.

I live alone, in the hot, dry desert of California. I have experienced lots of challenges and strife. I have had trauma, suffering and pain
both physical and emotional. Those issues no longer define me. I have overcome the past.

I am outside every single day, walking, dancing and playing in the desert sun. I go to the beach regularly, and I don't take drugs, medicines or any hormones to soften the ravages of time. It is what I do for my soul that keeps me young, ageless and timeless.

For years, I was on such a tight budget I couldn't afford expensive face creams or products to keep my face in tip top shape. Following are my recommendations for looking and staying youthful, beautiful and radiant well beyond your seventies and eighties whether you are alone, married or polyamorous and no matter your budget. Taking care of your body temple is a sacred act and daily practice.

Happiness more than anything is what has caused me to look younger now than I did five years ago. Working with me will help you get to happy!

1. Meditate daily. Even ten minutes to start is enough to get you going. Turn off your cell phone, music and telephone. Turn inward by sitting in silence focusing on the center of your chest, your heart chakra. Smile like Mona Lisa to your heart while you meditate. A smile to yourself shifts you. Meditation can help you remember things you have forgotten, it connects you with Source energy and puts you in a state of flow. Meditation will improve your ability to stay young because it reduces stress and softens you. Link to Divine Presence Process Meditation.

2. Do mantras daily. Mantras shift the brain to congruency. When brain waves are congruent we feel calm; stress is released, our body can heal itself. I had a tumor on the side of my thigh disappear in less than six weeks. Our body can heal itself when we give it what it needs. Our body and mind need stillness and quiet daily.

We create new neuro pathways with positive statements that we repeat silently in the background of our mind. Peeling carrots, cooking, driving, showering, walking, riding your bike, are all times when you can use a mantra silently without anyone knowing. Mantras can also be sung to music if you wish. An Indian Guru told me that mantras done silently are much more powerful than those out loud. When I began doing mantras silently, my mental chatter stopped completely. The craziness went away. A calm overcame my mind. Can you imagine a quiet mind?

3. Treat your body temple as your church. Would you defame, critique or destroy a church? Of course not. Constant self-criticism causes disease. Set healthy boundaries and respect yourself. Take care to get enough sleep, good food and nurture your soul daily. Drink plenty of water, avoid those substances that you know don't serve your highest good. Let food be thy medicine

4. Your home is your sanctuary, keep it clean, orderly and free of arguments. Arguing in your home causes negativity to stick to soft furnishings. You lay your head on a pillow after an argument with your spouse, and you are sleeping on a pile of negativity. If you have disagreements, do your best to do your discussing outside of your home and especially your bedroom.

5. Know that The Universe and God always have your back. You are always supported by the Universe. Everything you need is always given to you when you trust.

Worry is a useless emotion, one I know quite well. Worry causes stress and ages you. Trust and faith will help you overcome worry. Remind yourself of this fact by repeating the following statement(s) upon rising and right before sleep. Meditating helps you stay connected and reminded of your Divine nature. I have included my video for you to help you get started. All it takes is seventeen minutes each day to feel loved and open to receive love. If you have difficulty with any of these, contact me for a private session to get connected and clear.

The Universe always brings me what I need exactly when I need it!

The Universe is always and in every way orchestrating my life for me.

The Universe always supports me.

Once we connect to our personal Divinity, we are never alone.

I want to hear from you. Did this article help you? What are you currently doing to age gracefully?

How To Use Prayer To Improve Your Life

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

When deep faith is present, prayer is powerful. Prayer without faith is impotent. I use prayer daily. My life changed when I recognized that all my prayers were heard and answered. I receive clear signs in my life that this is true. Many have no idea how to pray and therefore fail to use this strong medium of connection with Spirit.

I will share with you the prayers that give you the fastest results and which ones don't work at all.

If prayer doesn't work without faith, then what is faith?

Faith is belief.

Powerful, belief that without a doubt your prayer is answered.

Humans are impatient. We are often completely obtuse. We receive our answered prayer and don't recognize it.

In my article about The Spirituality of Money, I wrote about praying to ask that my bank accounts would be filled. I have been working to help rape victims recover as well as those who have been sexually molested. I help others heal their marriages, or breast cancer. I prayed that I help people with my work. The three airline tickets, passport I had expedited in order to travel to Atlanta, Denver and Toronto to be present with my mother, aunt and family members, would help others also. My travel was not for personal intent, but helping others. This prayer was a win-win, as the money I receive goes toward helping others.

The Fastest Response

Prayers that involve help or the good of others are answered quickly. Prayers that ask for healing for others happen faster than prayers for ourselves. Prayers that involve a win-win for all concerned are the fastest of all. When we pray together with others, our prayers are much more powerful.

Let Go of Worry and Pray Instead

Worry is a waste of time and energy. Instead pray. If you are worried about someone, pray for them. Pray that their High Self is fully present in their body. Pray for their highest and best outcome. Pray for their healing.

The Rolling Stones had it correct when they sang, "You don't get what you wa'ant, you get what you need!" When we pray selfishly for something that really doesn't help us, we get what we need, rather than what we want. Often as soon as we receive the thing we wanted selfishly we no longer want it.

What Doesn't Work

  1. begging
  2. thinking you know better than God
  3. fighting with God
  4. arguing or complaining to God
  5. asking for someone else to be hurt, smote or killed
  6. asking for revenge
  7. saying that life isn't fair
  8. acting or thinking that you have all the answers

God doesn't appreciate begging. We have to have respect for ourselves. Remember the verse, God helps those who help themselves? It is true. However, we have to ask. We can allow the Universe to do the heavy lifting for us by asking.

What Works

  1. saying you are helpless
  2. saying you don't have all the answers
  3. recognizing your frailty
  4. being humble
  5. getting on your knees out of respect
  6. praying outside in the sunlight
  7. giving thanks for what you have before asking for anything else
How Do I Pray?

  • Always begin by giving thanks. When we are grateful for what we have we can receive more.
  • Ask for help. When we are helpless, the angels and God can help us.
  • Remember to ASK!
  • Be humble, but don't beg
  • Be respectful towards yourself and God
  • Be loving. As you give to God, God also gives to you
  • Remember whatever you send out is returned to you 1,000 fold
When you receive what you asked for remember to give thanks! Sometimes, we don't notice when our prayers are answered. Be awake and aware enough to see, hear and feel when your prayers are answered.

Ask questions. "How can I effortlessly and easily have _______?"

What Can You Pray For?

Anything that is important to you or your family members is worthy of prayer. Pray for a family member's health, for healing, for fears to be eradicated. Pray for the ability to pay your bills effortlessly and easily with money left over. Remember to give gratitude for your home, food and health daily.

Recently, my daughter Ariel had a very difficult test at culinary school. She was extremely stressed and anxious about it. I prayed for her ability to get her work done with plenty of time so that she would pass. She completed her fruit tart, cake complete with icing and making dinner rolls from scratch all the way through to baked ~ not burned. She finished plating everything with thirty minutes to spare and passed!

What If I Have Nothing To Be Grateful For?

Look around you for something that is working. Be grateful for the sun that shines and sets, the food that you eat, your health, your life, nature, beauty, waking up another day, friends, family, healing, vibrant health, fingers, toes, legs, eyes, mind and body. When you begin to show and give gratitude for the little things, your life will begin to improve.

The Cascade of Miracles Prayer

Over the years, I have been given meditations, prayers and phrases to say or repeat that are powerful. I was given The Cascade of Miracles Prayer four years ago. I have been praying it over others for great success. I have received countless testimonials about the miracles that occur for those that have received this prayer. When you pray this prayer for others, you receive miracles also.

My Gift To YOU - The Cascade of Miracles Prayer

Mother, Father God, I ask for a Cascade of Miracles to unfold in all areas of your life. From your vibrant health, for you and your family to healthy financial situation, wealth and abundance, I ask for miracles to unfold in all areas of your finances and your relationships. I ask that love flow, through you, around you and all your friendships and relationships.

I ask for your relationships to be healed. I ask for a Cascade of Miracles to heal your heart, your mind and body. I ask for these miracles to continue to unfold for you as long as you are grateful to receive them. I know that these miracles will be received. I know that nothing is impossible and everything is possibly through you.

Thank you! Thank you Thank you! Amen.

The Spirituality of Money

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

“For what shall it profit a man,  if he shall gain the whole world,  and lose his own soul?”          – Jesus of Nazareth

Everything is energy. We are energy. Money is energy. We work at our profession and are paid for what we do. We have bills to pay in exchange for what we receive. The exchange that we currently have in place is money. Where humans run into issues is when they feel they never have enough.

Money isn't bad or evil. Money is just an exchange that allows us to get things we want to make our lives better like food, shelter, a vehicle, and services. It is our attachment to money that causes us issues.

The Law of Impermanence

For most, we notice the ebb and flow of money. Money flows in as we receive and then out as we pay our mortgage, rent, utilities and buy food or clothing. The impermanence is obvious.

How We Stop The Flow

There are many ways we stop the flow of money. We worry about not having enough, which causes the flow to be blocked. Fear blocks us. We can't manifest when we are in fear. Following are the different ways we stop our flow:

  1. We waste money on things we don't need.
  2. We become greedy.
  3. We aren't good stewards with our money.
  4. We don't respect money.
  5. We buy too much: groceries, hair products, facial creams, televisions, movies, books, clothing. Food spoils in the refridgerator. Hair products sit unused or get thrown out. We don't read the books. Clothing sits in our closets with tags still on them unworn and unloved.
  6. We focus on our problems with money, which increases the problems.
  7. We worry about money.
  8. We feel that there is never enough.
  9. We are stingy with our money and don't give to others.

Problems With Money

When we are good stewards of our money, we find the flow increases. When we waste or disrespect money, we may find the flow is restricted, until we learn how to work with the energy of money.

Limiting Beliefs

Our family of origin sets us up for wealth or poverty. If your family was poor and money was scarce, chances are you have similar issues with money. The messages we were programmed with as children become our beliefs in adulthood.

When we believe we aren't worthy we stop or restrict the flow. Our belief that there is never enough causes us to never have enough. When we believe that money is dirty, the root of all evil or unspiritual will cause us to suffer due to our lack of money.

The Truth About Money

The Universe is abundant. There is no lack in The Universe, only our perception of it. We can tap into the abundance when we are in balance with our Spiritual side, recognizing that we receive as we give. The more generous we are, the more money flows to us. The more generous you are with your gifts and talents, the more money will flow to you.

There is no competition in The Universe. Therefore, we are not in competition with anyone else. The more we can work together with others, the more money will flow to you.

The more heartfelt GRATITUDE you express, the more you will have. When we don't recognize all that we have, it is very difficult for us to get more of what we want.

The Universe does not like any waste. If you waste money, there are repercussions. When you live simply in balance with the Spiritual focusing on the work you do, rather than making money you will find yourself in the flow.

My Personal Experience

I have had lots of money in the past. When I did, I had oodles of clothing, shoes, purses that matched two BMWs, a huge home filled with Waterford crystal, two sets of English bone china, a twelve-piece place setting of silver complete with fish service a houseful of gorgeous furniture. I lived extravagantly. I was miserable. I felt lost, lonely and unhappy. I wasn't in balance with my Spiritual side. I didn't love myself. I wasn't generous. I wrote about this experience in my first book, Odyssey Victim To Victory

Fast Forward to present day:

I have learned to live simply. My focus is on the spiritual. I am in balance and harmony with all that is. I am generous with my time, gifts and talents. I give back to The Universe by helping others. I tip well. I stopped wasting food, clothing, water and time. I love myself. I love life. I have given a home to four stray cats and two stray dogs. I stop to smell the roses, notice the beauty that surrounds me. I am grateful for everything I have, receive and give. My focus isn't on the money anymore, it is on the work I do.

I bought three plane tickets to travel to Atlanta to see clients and assist my son, Adam with his Love Fest next weekend. I paid for a rental car. I bought another ticket to Colorado for my daughter's graduation. My aunt in Canada is turning 90 in June, I weighed my options and decided that visiting my aunt and aging mother was beneficial so I bought a ticket to Toronto and paid for my passport renewal and expediting. In all I spent about two thousand dollars in less than a month. I had enough left to pay my rent. After leaving the Consulate of Canada on Friday and walking down 7th Street in Los Angeles, I said,

"Please fill my bank accounts back up as they are empty!" Within minutes, I had a text from a client in Colorado telling me she was sending me a check for $1,500! I immediately said, "THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!"

FYI

I had just dropped a couple of bills into a musician's case generously while getting the cash for my passport. Even though I didn't have much left at the time, I gave to someone else in need. Are you looking to co-create miracles? Read this.

10 Powerful Ways To Fill The Emptiness Within

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Author's Note: I pulled this article out of the archives from December 2013. It is still pertinent and powerful today.

Feeling lost, unfulfilled and empty?

Half of my life I felt broken, lost, depressed and empty. I began my quest at the age of 16. I was looking for the answer to the age-old question, "Is that all there is?" I knew that there had to be more to life than the rat race of school, work, family, and death.

I searched for answers. I studied different religions, attending workshop after workshop. I longed for this void to be filled. It did not matter if I fell in love, had a relationship or did not, the empty place could not be filled. I searched for years, through one relationship after another. I became the ultimate consumer, shopping for clothes, cell phones, houses, and furniture. None of these things filled the void.

I got married, had children, thinking that that was the answer to what was missing. I felt better, but still not complete.

Not until I began to heal my own life, did I find what was missing. As I became certified in hypnotherapy, energy healing, life coaching and began to read The Akashic Records. I started a healing practice. In helping those in need I found fulfillment.

Through healing myself of unworthiness and self-hatred, I found that I had a knack for helping people to bring up their own issues, naturally. Just sitting in a room with someone, they would begin to cry and talk to me about their most intimate and profound issues. Even men who never spoke about their wives who left them, or their deep sadness, would begin to open up and spill their guts to me. My search for love led me to help others to heal their lives. I was able to help others change their lives by being the catalyst in theirs. It was here that I found the secret component to life and fulfillment.

What I found was that I could help people in simple ways or profoundly helping women and men change and heal their lives.  Anytime I helped another I was filled up. My passion for helping others is what carries me through my days. I awake with the names of people I don't even know in my consciousness and pray for them for whatever it is that they need at that time. Every time I open a door for another, offer a generous gratuity in a restaurant I am  filled up. The simplest of gestures can change someone's life. When you begin to notice the pain others are going through, it makes you realize how wonderful yours is.

I also found having a deep and profound Spiritual connection (no religion required) brought me a deep and profound joy. Meditating and teaching others how to quiet their minds has helped so many come to a place of peace in theirs. I had such a difficult time meditating at the beginning. It was not until I learned a few techniques that were simple yet profound that I was able to sit in silence and allow the peace and love wash over me that I recognized that this is available to everyone. We just have to be open to receive it.

A quiet mind creates harmony in one's life. From chaos and suffering to living in joy in each breath is what our lives are all about. Here are some of my secrets to living a life of joy, peace and bliss in the moment.

  1. Breathe. Most people breathe shallowly because they feel unworthy. Breathing deeply shows that you are worthy. Breathe deeply. Exhale completely. Stop several times a day and place your feet flat on the ground. Uncross your arms and legs and just breathe. You will find this brings you into the present moment.
  2. Stop the mind chatter. There are several ways to do this. Here are two: Sit, breathe, relax. Breathe and relax some more. Drop your shoulders and smile to your heart. Turn your eyes upward towards the ceiling without moving your head. Continue looking at the ceiling for 5 minutes or more. Each time you do this you will find the mind quiets. The second way is to envision a laser beam going through the back of your head exiting through your forehead at your hair line. This will also quiet the mind.
  3. Meditate daily. Beginning with quiet meditation without prayer is the way we open up to hear what God has to say to us. Our minds are so active, we need to become quiet and peaceful so that God and The Universe can speak to us. Beginning each day with upright chair meditation will calm you, bringing order into your day, life and world. Harmony within, harmony without.
  4. Be grateful. Each day I wake up and immediately pray a prayer of gratitude for being alive another day. I always say "Thank you for my vibrant health." I believe that this is how I have become so strong and healthy when many at my age have aches and pains. I have none. When we are grateful for what we have, we will receive more to be grateful for. Without gratitude for all you have, you will find more lack and things to be ungrateful for.
  5. Love everyone. We are all connected whether you believe it or not. When you are angry with another, vengeful or harmful in any way, you are hurting yourself.
  6. Forgive everyone. No matter what they have done to you, there is no point in hanging onto anger, resentment and rage. All these negative emotions will do is cause you illness, disease, and more suffering. Eventually, you will say thank you to your perpetrators for teaching you the lessons that you needed to learn. Then you are on the path of healing and wholeness.
  7. Experience nature. Being outside in beauty and appreciating it will help you to feel better, happier and connected with the earth, and the heavens. Nature teaches us acceptance for what is. Nature is in constant change. We need to accept that things will always be changing and resisting change only causes more suffering.
  8. Love yourself. This actually should be number ONE! I have heard Buddhists criticize me for this saying that loving oneself leads to selfishness and loneliness. I have to disagree. Since I have begun to love myself I have been more connected to God and others. I no longer feel like a victim and have taken responsibility for myself and my life. I never feel lonely or alone. Self love is the key to understanding others and being compassionate for you and others. Self-love is the key to healing all relationships.
  9. Accept others as they are. Trying to change another is folly and egocentric. Everyone is on their own path. Everyone is finding their own way. If they ask you for help, that is another story. Giving advice when it is not asked for is like my spiritual teacher used to say, "Throwing pearls before the swine." They will find their way in their own time. Who are we to judge what is right for another?
  10. Be generous with your service, gifts and love. The more generous you are, the more others will be generous with you. We give without expectation, however, the laws of The Universe are designed that the more you give, the more you receive. It is a natural law of The Universe.
