3 Reasons you Need To See Moana

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

With a Thanksgiving opening next to Frozen, Moana is this year's kid's movie, with a strong message for adults. Not only does

Moana encompass a life journey with a purpose but teaches us powerful lessons as well.
I won't ruin the movie for you, but I will tell you what you will get out of it.

3 Reasons To See This Movie

  1. It will leave you feeling inspired
  2. You will learn something about yourself
  3. Moana will help you follow your dreams

Dwayne Johnson plays an ego-maniac, shape-shifting Demi-God very well opposite newcomer, Auli’i Cravalho, born and raised in Oahu, Hawaii. She was fourteen when she landed the role and just turned sixteen November 22nd. She was the last person to audition for the role.

Moana isn't your usual Disney damsel in distress movie. The movie is action packed with plenty of humor, adventure, danger, and empowerment. If you are searching for what's missing in your life, I suggest you take yourself to this movie, and soon.

Yes, Moana is a princess, with an over-protective loving father. Moana is fierce, driven and powerful. Remember, this is a Disney movie. The characters have human characteristics with enough humor packed between the lines to keep you interested, laughing, with a strong message.

While Moana's parents attempt to protect her from the dangers of the world beyond their reef, Moana recognizes her calling. Sometimes, our grandparents have a more relaxed view of the world than over-protective parents do and provide the guidance that parents miss when they are fearful.

A quick 2-minute trailer with sound:

The movie's message:

  • girls (women) are strong and powerful
  • women can succeed and be happy on their own - without a man
  • we all have gifts
  • most of us recognize our gifts as children, but parents often suppress them out fear
  • when we don't follow our heart, we are unhappy
  • you already have everything you need inside you
  • you don't need a crutch to succeed
  • trust your heart
  • when we have a calling, we have to listen
  • when we listen to others, we won't step into the void where magic happens
  • when our heart is missing, we are angry, spiteful and fearful of others - to the point of lashing out or blaming
  • when our heart is open and present, we are beautiful, loving and accepting
  • sometimes we have to go it alone, and that's okay

When Everything Falls Apart, There is Good News Coming

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Life today is simple, easy, doing work I love. I am ecstatically happy every day. You would never know looking at me that seventeen years ago my life was crumbling in every direction. I was like the moth to the flame.

When things fall apart, there is a reason. You have chosen situations that weren't in your highest good and the universe, and you have set about changing your life for the better. It just doesn't look like there is anything good happening right now. When change is coming, there is nothing you can do to stop it. You might feel that chaos is your only friend.

Following is the shortened version: part of my first book Odyssey Victim To Victory. What began to happen in my life was the momentous change in every way.

My father died twenty-seven years ago, on September 22, 1989. My father was a larger than life character, a skeptic, freethinker, man's man who introduced me to Metaphysics. He taught me to believe only what I knew to be true, rather than what people wrote or said. My father had been abused by his father, ran away from home at seven on a freight train from Toronto to Vancouver, British Columbia. He repeated his adventure again at age twelve. A beating awaited him upon both returns. Why would someone do something so great at such an early age? His home life had to be so horrible that anything was better than staying there.

I met Rich weeks after my father's death. What I didn't recognize at the time was that the familiarity I felt being with him was his deep rage, like my father's. Even though I saw his dark, abusive side, I married him anyway. I married the bad boy. I ignored the red flags. He felt like home to me. His anger was so familiar; I felt like I was walking on egg shells the entire time we were married and long afterward.

I owned my home which was half paid off. Rich didn't like the fact that it was my home. He wanted to build "his house." It wasn't "our home," but HIS. His ego got in the way of recognizing I had a home we could easily afford. He pushed, prodded and
coerced me to use the equity in my home to live on and finance his building company. My fear of him was my motivator. My confidence and freedom were eradicated in this marriage. I felt imprisoned with no way of escaping. I had just given birth to Ariel I was forty-one.

For those of you who have never experienced abuse, some of this will seem preposterous, impossible to believe. Emotional and physical abuse eradicates confidence. When there is a threat of violence, there is emotional abuse. It makes us feel dependent on our abuser for everything with no hope, no will, hopeless. Fear is an all pervasive energy that surrounds you even while you sleep. The fear that they might murder you and your children while you sleep is real.

Like Attracts Like
(The caveat here is that Rich's brother an ex-marine had committed a pre-meditated murder of his brother-in-law while Rich and I were together. He stabbed him thirty-five times. Rich's father beat his mother, punching her in the face breaking her dentures in three. His family history was one of violence, greater than mine, but similar in energy.) My fear of anger and violence was the perfect match for Rich's DNA of rage.

Huge beautiful home didn't bring happiness
Without giving all the details, Rich built a huge home - "his house" that we couldn't afford. He had four houses go back to the bank when the market crashed, and the economy tanked. We lost our home. Both my sons ended up living with their father; it nearly killed me. My family is the most important part of my life, losing both my sons even temporarily was devastating to my health and happiness.

The light was dawning in my mind, I wondered how I could escape with my life and safety of my daughter.

I sold all my beautiful things so that we would have money to live on, Rich sold none of his tools. While we were losing our home two of my beloved dogs were hit by one car. My oldest Siamese kitty's health failed and her son and another dog had to be put to sleep within six months of our foreclosure. I knew all my animal's deaths were trying to tell me something. Messages were everywhere. I needed to get out too, but how?

I had started a landscaping company before we lost our beautiful home. I had begun to make enough to support myself without Rich's help. When his control of my phone calls, friends and family became too great, I finally got the courage to tell him he needed to leave.

The Universe sends help when we make a positive move for change. I gave him two weeks to move out. It just so happened that my sister-in-law's brother, Alan had met a woman on the Internet and had flown to Georgia from England to be with her. When he
Right before our split
arrived from England, he found that she had misrepresented herself and was still married! He was heart-broken. He spent all his hard-earned money to fly over from The UK, only to find out she had lied! I recognized immediately that Alan was in Georgia for the first time for my protection and to ensure Rich left without hurting or harming anyone.

When we talked, I explained what was happening with me and he quickly agreed to stay with me until Rich moved out. Alan was part of my family and had known me since I was fourteen.

My world was falling apart on all levels. I was in fear for my life while I slept. I hid Rich's guns until I could get him out of my house. We moved to a farmhouse, in the Georgia countryside with a barn to store my tools. I found this beautiful place in a very strange way. I loved the house and the land and wanted to stay. This property was perfect for my daughter and I. It felt wrong for Rich to be there. I knew Rich had to go.

Why Things Happen The Way They Do

Our DNA has a great power over us, as does our karma. We attract what our parents model for us. Mine had modeled abuse, anger, and negativity. I was afraid of men. I was a magnet for a man who raged, yelled and became big and scary when he was angry. Rich was jealous, controlling and a macho man, like my father in many ways, except that he didn't drink. The biggest similarity was his rage. I was attracted to that part of him that was so similar in energy to my father, unconsciously.

What Feels Like Home Might Not Be The Best For You!

I was attracted to what felt familiar. When I wrote down a list of what experiences I had in my home they were the following:

HOME

  • criticized, ignored, not heard
  • put down, teased, made fun of
  • invalidated
  • yelled at
  • abused and controlled
  • put in harm's way
  • unprotected

LOVE?

  • criticized, ignored, not heard
  • put down, teased, made fun of
  • invalidated
  • yelled at
  • jealousy
  • abused and controlled
  • put in harm's way
  • unprotected

I was like a moth to a flame!

I kept repeating the same old patterns until my outside circumstances became so in-my-face, that I could no longer ignore them. Each relationship I had was worse than the one before. I was so afraid of this man I didn't want to have sex with him. After Rich had moved out, I was able to get quiet, meditate and go within. Finally, I began to wake up. I knew I didn't want to be abused any longer. I knew that my victim energy from my childhood sexual abuse was still present even though I had forgiven all my perpetrators. I had to clear the emotions.

I sat down and meditated. In this meditation, I was directed to create a relationship matrix. This matrix is what I use to guide my clients today.

Using this matrix, I realized that in all my relationships there were similarities. The Guidance I received asked me what the similarities are? What is the common denominator?

Wake Up And Smell The Coffee!

My big aha moment came after I saw that I was the only common denominator in all my relationships. I had to stop blaming others and look at how I attracted these men to me. I had to look at my reactivity from my childhood and clear the triggers. I had to change my behavior.

What's The Use?

What is the point of all of this? Today, I help women love themselves above all else, fearlessly so that they attract positive, balanced, healthy relationships. I work with couples and single women to change their patterns and behavior so that they don't continue to react, deny and push away love. All that happened in the past has removed judgment of others giving me great compassion for where people are. Having been there myself, I can't judge another.

Until we heal our DNA and our unconscious programming we attract unconsciously. We are like the moth to the flame. We attract what is not the best for us. We attract the dysfunction from our family of origin or past molestation. We move toward what feels familiar - even when it isn't safe.

If you think ignoring the past will make it less powerful, think again. We have to heal the past. We have to clear the old programs and patterns so that we aren't a magnet for dysfunction. We have to change our behavior, recognize the red flags and pay attention to them, rather than ignore them. We have to love and accept ourselves as we are. Until we love ourselves completely, and stop denying our old patterns and behavior we continue to accept circumstances that aren't good for us.

It took me over thirty years of healing, study, searching to get to where I am today. My happiness and bliss are my reward for all that I endured in the past. I worked very hard to clear the old patterns and unconscious beliefs that men are all angry, jealous and abusive, or that love hurt and abused. All of my experiences make me wise, compassionate and loving. I understand what my clients have been through because I have been there too.

If everything is falling apart in your world, it is because your life isn't working for you the way it was. It is time for you to wake up, put yourself first, rather than your relationships, give to you, get to know yourself and clear the past. Isn't it time for you to be happy
with you? When we become happy with ourselves, the rest falls into place effortlessly. Know that light is at the end of this tunnel of darkness, change, and chaos. There are better days ahead.

How Procrastination Keeps You From Being Your Own Hero

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

My readers have shared that my best posts seem to be the ones where I share my personal experiences of growth, realization, evolution, and enlightenment. Today's post is a personal experience where I procrastinated for a year on a seemingly small thing which became a huge event. When I finally resolved the issue, I wondered why I waited so long, as I became a hero in my community.

Before enlighenment, chop the wood, light the fires, cook the meals. After enlightenment, chop the wood, light the fires, cook the meals.

I may write about my life openly. The dichotomy is that I am a private person. I hesitate to open my underwear drawer as I call it to express this story with you. My request is that you keep an open mind, reserve judgment and ask yourself where you have done something similar in your life which kept you from your highest good as well?

Procrastination makes mountains out of molehills. The longer we put off doing something to correct the issue, the larger the issue becomes. JEM

Last August a long-time friend asked me to help him financially so he could leave Georgia and travel to California. In return, he would build me a new website. I paid his expenses, and he drove across the country all the way to California. While he was driving, I prepared for his arrival setting up my back bedroom, which was a storage area, cleaning every corner of my home making everything spotless and comfortable for his arrival.

I love a clean and Zen-like home. Because of the work I do from my home, the energy is high, peaceful and serene. When people
come inside, they always remark at how good the energy feels. I meditate daily. I Ascend every day, doing mantras several times a day. I keep my energy high and cleared daily.

Even so, there are certain tasks I would rather not do, cleaning my oven is one of them. In fact, I would rather visit my gynecologist than clean my oven, and that is not a visit I enjoy. So here I was with little time remaining. I sprayed the oven in preparation to clean it but ran out of time to complete the task.

The entire three months my friend lived in my home we avoided using the oven as we were both so busy working on my website that there wasn't time to clean it. The oven cleaner dried and hardened and became a huge mountain for me to overcome. Each time I thought about roasting something in the over, I realized that I had a seemingly insurmountable task to overcome to do so.

Each time I had a thought about the oven it added to the negativity.

Thanksgiving came and went. I couldn't even cook a turkey in my oven for the homeless shelter which is one of my favorite things to do. I felt guilty about not making myself buckle down and just get the job done. The energy of the dirty oven became greater due to my thoughts about it being unfinished. The longer I waited to clean the oven the more difficult the task became.

I created such an energy around the oven-cleaning-event that it was insurmountable. I couldn't muster the energy to take care of the job. Negative energy built up around the oven which had an impact on me. Each time I considered  cooking something baked, I had to tell myself, "Well you can't cook that your oven is still dirty!" I missed making my favorite winter dish roasted Brussels sprouts in olive oil.

I was invited to three potluck dinners where I was asked to bring a desert. I make a killer cheesecake that I knew people would love, but I couldn't do it because my oven was dirty.

An entire year came and went, and I managed to work around my oven. I cooked everything in my toaster oven or on top of my stove for an entire year!

I had been systematically cleaning every nook, cranny and closet in every part of my home beginning in the spring. My closets, refrigerator, and cabinets were zen-like, ordered and spotless; but my oven was still a dark, bleak portal of negativity!

Mercury Retrograde provides the energy to get old energy resolved and released. I decided to use the energy of this Mercury Retrograde to resolve the issue with my oven. The current Mercury Retrograde period ends on September 22nd. I knew I had to resolve the issue before the end of September to use the energy of Mercury to move me along to resolution.

Finally, I was invited to a pool party and celebration of our hosts 40-years of sobriety and drug-free life, in Los Angeles  I knew the time had come to remove the ridiculous mountain weighing down my kitchen and entire home. I had to overcome the huge story I had created and my resistance to finally muster the courage to face my least favorite cleaning task in the entire world.

Following are the steps I took to overcome my resistance:

  1. I created a plan that set myself up for success.
  2. I gave myself the time I needed to ensure ever contingency was covered.
  3. I accepted the invitation to the pot-luck dinner party several days before.
  4. With my RSVP, I committed to fresh baked gluten free vegan cookies which set the wheels in motion for success.
  5. I psyched myself up for the task.
  6. I ran into a snag. I couldn't find the recipe for the banana nut, coconut cookies. I asked several people. I searched the Internet. Not even my daughter could remember the magical cookie recipe that was so delicious.
  7. I decided to raise the bar higher and make black bean brownies instead. I knew they would be a hit, it made me feel better about cleaning the oven. I had tasted them in Georgia at the Naked Healthy event. They were delicious and healthy.
  8. Friday on the way home from the beach I stopped and bought a
roll of paper towels to make my cleaning job easier. I knew I had a pair of rubber gloves from doing Ariel's hair purple.
  9. I got up at 5:30 Saturday morning, making sure I had enough time to clean the oven, buy the ingredients and bake something.
  10. I sprayed the oven while I fed my animals. I gave the spray the full two hours to do its job.
  11. I took the wire racks outside and sprayed them on the concrete patio and left them to work in the heat.
  12. I took the dogs out to the desert and did my dancing - I was still taking care of myself while I worked through the issue.
  13. I used the time cleaning the oven to do mantras, prayers for the highest good of the oven, the bean brownies, and my highest success.
  14. I thought positive, loving thoughts while I cleaned every inch of dirt from the oven.
  15. I carefully made sure I rinsed all chemicals from all four sides of the oven, washing and re-washing again.
  16. Instead of beating myself up while performing the task, I laughed at myself and how difficult I made the job seem in my head.
  17. Rather than hating what I was doing, I had a positive attitude about getting the job completed before Thanksgiving.
  18. I didn't focus on the negative thoughts or think how stupid I was, or how bad a person I was because I had procrastinated.
  19. I lovingly accepted my quirkiness and wrapped love around
    like new!
myself and the work I was doing.
  20. I sprayed the racks off with the garden hose and then scrubbed anything remaining with the scouring pad. They looked amazing!

After over an entire year of procrastinating, thinking about cleaning the oven and how I didn't want to face it, can you guess how long it took me to do the entire job?

In one hour, while listening to an uplifting video, I cleaned the oven to the point that it looked brand new. The job was completed in record time because I had the best tools for the job.

  • I had paper towels, so I didn't have to rinse my sponge out a thousand times.
  • I used a fumeless oven cleaner, so I didn't get toxic chemicals in my nose.
  • I adopted a positive attitude focusing only on the job at hand rather than the negativity of the past.
  • I congratulated and celebrated that I did the job well.
  • I focused only on the present, the clean oven.
I took the time to drive eleven miles to Wal-mart in Lancaster, rather than opting for the convenience of the local higher priced grocery store. I saved over $20.00 by making the trip to Wal-mart. I congratulated myself on taking the longer route rather than the short-cut of the more expensive but convenient store. I didn't opt for the quick fix, as I wouldn't have solved the problem but created another one. I would have felt guilty about spending money I didn't need to.

I continued to take care of my needs every step of the way.

I made the bean brownies according to my son's friend Ndine's recommendations. Ndine is a beautiful soul and owner of BareFood Wellness

She left off the vinegar and pumpkin syrup. Luckily I had pure maple syrup at home. I had never made black bean brownies before but knew they tasted incredible. They are a healthy version of the delicious but sugary treat.

I packed the brownie into my car, allowing them to cool during the hour drive to LA. As I arrived, I had people following me into the kitchen.

A line formed as I cut them into squares. One yoga teacher
named Scott, loaded up a plate with four brownies to share with his table. When people heard I had black bean brownies there were squeals of delight. I was a hero! My brownies were a hit and so appreciated. Every last crumb was eaten. I took home a clean and empty dish.

Isn't it time that you became your own hero? How long are you going to wait be completely aligned with your soul? How long will you wait to have the life, relationship, and love you so desire?

How long will you wait to get your internal self-feeling positive, loving, totally accepted, whole and happy

Isn't it time you stopped putting off being your own hero? Why don't you contact me for your free discovery session to align with your soul essence, feel whole, complete, perfect as you are and confident being you?

Join the thousands I have helped to empower and step into their highest version of themselves, self-actualization. I would love to partner with you to share my wisdom and how I became completely happy, fulfilled and confident in my own skin.

I love you,
Jennifer

Women Only THINK They Know What They Want

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Having been a woman myself, for most of my life, I can attest to the fact that most women have no idea who they are. When we don't know who we are, we don't know what we want either.

When I embarked on my healing journey after a particularly difficult marriage, I began to look at how I created the issues within my marriage. I began to look at myself. This was really new to me, since most of my life I blamed others for my life. I have since learned that we are not victims AND they Universe and God is orchestrating our lives FOR us. Everything that happens happens because it is a reflection of our inner most thoughts, fears and beliefs and teaches us a lesson at the same time.

All that said, I will repeat most women do not know what they want. I see it all the time. Women sit down to order in a restaurant. We all pour over the menus choosing carefully. Sometimes, we even ask everyone at the table, "What are you getting?" We choose our meal. Then when everyone's food arrives, we wonder why we didn't choose differently.

Same thing when it comes to choosing men. Most women think they know what they want in a man, but the details are fuzzy. What is important and works for them could be entirely different than what they manifest.

We often focus on looks, money and financial security. Then our guy arrives and he is abusive, boyish, untidy and screws around on us. He might even be emotionally unavailable and totally incapable of an independent thought. Why do we do this?

Most women do not sit down and write down what they want in a man on a piece of paper. I recommend you do this. Carefully. Write all the things that you WANT in a man. Most women focus on what they DON'T want, rather than what they want. Whatever you focus on is what you will bring to you. Also, if you are asking for a millionaire and you are penniless, that won't work either. You have to BE what you are trying to attract.
