ALL Alone For The Holidays?

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

What is it about holidays that make everyone want to go home to visit? Once there, we wonder what ever possessed us to spend all that money on airfare or gas to listen to our parents' and siblings tell us all the things that we are doing wrong and how we need to live our lives differently. But that is family. They are the ones that know exactly how to push our buttons and get our goat.

Sadly, many of us will be alone for the holidays. Children may be stateside when you are deployed.  Or your family may be in a foreign country and too far to visit during this time of year. For many of us, the holidays are a time when we experience depression, loneliness and sadness - even when with family. How then can we navigate Thanksgiving, Chanukah, Christmas or Kwanza without our loved ones and still enjoy ourselves?

Making The Best Of The Situation

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday for many reasons. Thanksgiving involves gratitude which I love. It also does not involve gift giving - so there is not a lot of financial stress over Thanksgiving, which is amazing. Thanksgiving involves cooking, eating and watching movies for me. The smell of a roasting turkey with stuffing in the oven, pies, whipped cream.....  it all makes my mouth water. Until I remember that my family is all going to be spread apart this Thanksgiving. However, planning and intent can change a situation that might end up being something really wonderful.

Days Of Holidays Past

I reminisce about Thanksgiving in Canada with my family. As soon as dinner was over the women would go and clear the table, getting coffee and dessert out. My oldest brother would disappear and fall asleep in someone's bed. He often over-eat, like Goldilocks find someone's soft bed to roll onto. He would go into a semi-coma after a big meal. I miss those days. It has been a long time since I enjoyed Thanksgiving in Canada with my family of origin.

A new Hartman Group study reveals that 46% of all adults eat alone. This growing trend shows a move towards a more solitary environment. One good thing about eating alone is that you won't get heartburn about what your mother, brother, sisters or brothers say to you over your meal. A peaceful candelight dinner for one can be enjoyable. Thanksgiving though, is another story.

Traditional Thanksgiving Dinners

Buying a frozen dinner hoping it will substitute for a home-cooked meal will not thrill you. Even dining out alone in a restaurant doesn't sound exhilarating either. Here are some solutions for McDonalds, Jack In The Box and Taco Bell, Thanksgiving meals.

  1. Find a local church that is doing a community dinner and join them.
  2. Volunteer at a homeless shelter and bring a cooked turkey to add to the feast. This way, your home still smells like turkey and you will be contributing towards feeding the hungry. So it is a win-win for both sides.
  3. Ask around in advance where your assistance could be needed at a church shelter or senior center. Warm bodies are always appreciated to serve with a smile. Helping out serves two purposes, you recognize what you have and you appreciate your life so much more. Giving back always makes you feel good!
  4. Plan in advance so that you are not spending the whole day alone. Find a group to play games with or go for a walk with later in the day.
  5. Take a spa vacation for two days. Pamper yourself by staying at a Hyatt or other plush hotel and treat yourself royally.
  6. Play Christmas music that makes you feel good.
  7. Write Christmas cards and Thanksgiving cards and send them early to the ones you love. This old fashioned tradition is a lost art and will make you think of each person you won't see with a fondness. Put your heart into your message. Don't just sign your name.
  8. Call those you miss and tell them you love them.
  9. Watch movies that make you feel good. The happier the better. Laughter is good for the soul. Which is why I always watch National Lampoon Christmas Vacation every year, more than once.
  10. Avoid drinking as it is a depressant.
  11. Buy some scented candles to make your home or apartment smell festive.
  12. Do things that you love and make you feel good. Treat yourself to special foods that you wouldn't normally cook. Like roasting a duck, or brussel sprouts.... something you really like.
Suggested Mirth in Movies

There are some really great holiday movies out that I recommend. Some are better than others and the ones I love best make me laugh and feel warm inside. These are the type I recommend for you.

  1. National Lampoon Christmas Vacation - my family's favorite stupid Christmas movie. We watch it every year. It is a classic. A lot of laughs and Chevy Chase at his creative best.
  2. Home For The Holidays. (1995) With Holly Hunter, Dylan McDermott, Anne Bancroft (full movie below)
  3. The Holiday. With Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, Jack Black. Even if you don't like Jack Black, this movie has many redeeming qualities, like the fact that it is set in the most beautiful part of England and LA. Yes, it involves love. A chick flick, but funny and sweet at the same time.
  4. Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Steve Martin and Beloved Canadian actor, John Candy. This movie is hilarious and heart warming.
  5. Scrooge. Bill Murray.
  6. The Santa Clause. Tim Allen. Although this could be construed as a kids movie, it is a happy, feel good movie. The kind you want to watch when you are all alone.
  7. Dutch. Ed O'Neill. Thanksgiving movie. Ok. You might want to kill the kid at some point in the movie, but it gets better.
  8. The Family Man. Nicolas Cage, Tea Leoni. Wealthy Wall Street trader, living the high life. His life is changed totally over night when he wakes up in suburbia married to his old girlfriend - with children. Great lessons, love over money. Happiness over the material. Funny, heartwarming.
  9. Holiday Inn. Bing Crosby. Yes, it's old, but it's a feel good real Christmas movie.
  10. How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Jim Carrey.
  11. Elf. Yes, it stars Will Ferrell, but wonderful warm and heart opening ending. Ed Asner plays Santa - well.
  12. A Charlie Brown Christmas. Sweet and a tradition.
  13. Home Alone. I couldn't leave this one off.

The Keys To Happiness

Enlightenment: The End of Suffering

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Whether you recognize it or not, the purpose for all humans is to attain enlightenment. For many, suffering is what is in the forefront of their mind. How then can we focus on enlightenment and what will it do for me?

When I was 16, I read the book, Siddhartha. It was the story about Buddha's shift into enlightenment. Upon completing the book, I knew that was what I wanted. I wanted to be the embodiment of love and light. I knew there was more to life than going to school, working and then dying. I witnessed my father, his nose-to-the-grindstone life, his death before his 72nd birthday of leukemia. Although he searched, he did not find it. My father studied about Lemuria, Atlantis and anything he could read about The Sleeping Prophet, Edgar Cayce. My father was a seeker. My mother was not. My mother suffered and still does.

My father invited a Hindu man over for dinner to show us how to read minds. I will never forget this man, his quiet demeanor and how fascinated my father was with him. He was the first Indian man I had ever met personally (I was 10 at the time). He quietly left the table, instructing my mother and father to write down a phrase on a piece of paper, then burn it. When he came back from his meditation in my parent's bedroom, he told us exactly what had been written on the now burned piece of paper. All he did was touch the paper to determine what it was.

Now and Then

TODAY: I feel free. Positive, loving and at peace. I have no fears at all.

I meditate every day. I pray, do mantras and chant inside my mind. My focus is on the positive. I no longer feel alone, lonely or afraid. All my fears are gone.

BEFORE ENLIGHTENMENT: I was in total fear. I suffered from insomnia, Fibromyalgia, an auto-immune disease, Epstein Barr. I was sick a lot. My body was wracked with pain. Emotional issues plagued me. I was depressed, needy and lacked confidence. I had the need to have a man in my life to feel complete.

What I Recommend:

Everyone needs a spiritual practise. Something that they do every day at the same time. I recommend prayers of gratitude followed by meditation. I do chanting every day. I sit with my mala beads (prayer beads) that I use to count 108 mantras spoken silently in my mind. This will bring you into your physical body and center you. This quiet repose is needed for vitality and fully functioning health of mind-body-spirit. I teach my clients The Divine Presence Process Meditation (below). It is what I did every day for 11 months and led to my enlightenment.

In 2007 I met two Ishaya monks, who taught me Ascension. It is a mantra system of five spheres. The mantras are spoken silently in the mind, while tapping into your heart center. This Ascension system quieted my racing mind. Now I teach a mantra to my clients. I give a personal, appropriate mantra for where they are. This mantra plays in the background of the mind all day silently. It gently re-programs the unconscious mind to settle down and become peaceful. Brain waves then become congruent instead of sharp and pointy. This calms the mind and then the body is at peace as well. Our mind is like the central computer for the whole system. When our mind is quiet, our bodies heal deeply. We begin to sleep peacefully. We thrive instead of just exist.

Oneness

I would be remiss if I did not mention The Oneness Movement. Thousands of people trekked to India and studied to be teachers and Deeksha Givers. Although I traveled to India previously, I became a Deeksha Giver in North Carolina. Not that the place matters, it does not. Each of these events contributed to the opening and transformation that I experienced when I became enlightened.

I became a Deeksha Giver in 2008. Deeksha is a Blessing given to the receiver through the crown chakra (top of the head). Each time I gave a Deeksha to someone, I was also given a blessing as well. At the end of the meditation above, I send you a Deeksha. If you are sensitive you will feel the vibration. I still give Deeksha to those who are interested. Each time you receive Deeksha light is channeled into the crown that opens up the receiver shedding more light on the third eye and the brain.

What Happens When You Become Enlightened?

The biggest thing that happens is that the ego becomes quiet. Instead of running the show, the ego self is diminished. You no longer take things personally. Fears fall away. Emotions instead of creating havoc in your life move swiftly, and are gone. You no longer stay stuck in a paradigm of pain or suffering. You begin to witness the emotions as they come up. You feel them fully, then it is gone. It is not that you don't feel emotions, they come up, you look at them from a place of witness and they move. Rather than avoiding feelings, you FEEL them. Loneliness is totally gone. You don't miss people, or suffer a loss, as you live in a state of non-attachment. It does not mean you can't love, you love without attachment instead.

Guidance comes through easily. You easily tap into The Divine Mind. You are connected to your high self or Divine self. Instead of living in turmoil and chaos, life is peaceful, and the search ends for happiness, because you have already arrived. You are happy anywhere, with whoever you are with. You live in the present moment.

How Enlightenment Helps Others

When you are enlightened it is easier to help others because your ego is not involved. You receive messages that are clear and unfiltered by your own past. Rather than judging a situation, you see clearly without judgement. Guidance is given that is true, helpful and direct. Compassion for others is easy. You feel love for all as you see The Divinity in each person.

Pain

Body pain is often diminished. Our emotional states are what bring us physical pain. For many, like me, there is no pain at all. Physical pain if I stub my toe, is momentary. I have no joint pain. I don't take medicines for headaches or anything else. I keep my body clean.

Sex

Can be an experience of enlightenment, allowing you to become One with The Divine. Sex can be incredibly spiritual. If sex is entered into through complete appreciation of your partner, there will be no regret experienced.

If you are looking to have an enjoyable experience, and you feel guilty about sex (perhaps you are having sex outside of a marriage, or committed relationship), your thoughts can create a negative sexual experience. If any guilt or worthless feelings result from the experience, your experience will be far from an experience of enlightenment.

We need to be in alignment with is right for you, when you do, you will draw to you a partner who is a match to you. If you have a mixed vibration with the subject of sex, like most people (being inhibited for example) you will attract someone with a similar belief system and thought patterns about sex. Being in alignment with Source energy, regarding sex means to be in a state of total love. You can't have a limiting belief about sex and operate outside of that belief. Your beliefs govern your experience.

Sex is an expression. Your enjoyment of it will reflect the thoughts that you hold regarding sex. It is a natural part of life experience. It inspires you towards unity with your partner. Sex can expand consciousness. Orgasm is a state of total allowing. The floodgates are open and Source energy and higher energy rushes through yourself. You exist in perfect resonance with Source energy and your higher self. Experiencing your self fully at the same time.

In it's truest form it's expression is sacred. Sex gives you an opportunity to be in alignment with who you truly are.

Sex needs to be void of control to have an experience of Oneness or enlightenment. It needs to be of a positive focus. Sex is the closest way for us to create complete Oneness with an individual. Men who appreciate women for what and who they are, and are sensitive enough to perceive and sense a woman's energy, learning and listening to a woman at all times, rather than just when they want sex from a woman. Being fully present in the moment with each other is key.

Prior To Enlightenment

You may feel overwhelmed with emotion as you begin the process of enlightenment. Sometimes you feel that you have already processed something and it returns with a vengeance. Things that you have already completed (you thought) may return, or come up to be released. It could be another aspect of the same issue.

Sometimes you may feel that you are taking one step forward and two steps backward. It is okay. Just allow yourself to be. Sadness may come up. Allow it to flow through you. Feelings may come from out of nowhere that are returning just to be moved through.

Signs Of Enlightenment and Being Self Actualized

  1. You move through emotional issues more easily. You feel your feelings fully and they are gone.
  2. Your mind begins to quiet. Instead of racing thoughts all the time, there is quiet. Inner peace prevails.
  3. You stop missing people and feeling so needy.
  4. When discussing issues with others, you don't own it. You can be detached from the issues and the ego of winning.
  5. Creativity abounds. Writing, music, creativity is a huge sign of reaching your full potential.
  6. Confidence (rather than false self - ego) is evident. You know who you are and have nothing to prove.
  7. You stop thinking about and being concerned with what others think of you.
  8. You are not married to being right.
  9. Loneliness is a thing of the past.

Life's Game Changer

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Each of us have experienced events in our lives that are game changers. These events wake us up to a higher purpose and change the course of our lives. For some, it is an unexpected divorce, cancer or some other health crisis. For others, it could be an untimely death of a loved one. Whatever the event, our lives are never the same.

Living and Loving on Purpose

Being consciously loving changes life. When we focus on the good in ourselves, we see the good in others. When we begin to view each person we encounter as our brothers and sisters in Oneness, we also recognize our personal Divinity. Seeing our own Divinity allows us to be more loving, accepting. We begin to find ways to give back. When we do, our life really begins to raise us up. Instead of looking at the way we screwed up our life, we see how we can better it. Seeing the win-win solutions for our friends, family and clients changes the playing field completely.

Infinite Possibilities

Our horizons instead of being bleak are multi-colored and amazingly diverse. Even in the midst of rain, the rainbow appears. We begin to see that there is always more than
one way to get there. The possibilities are endless. Asking questions opens the door to infinite possibilities.

Discovery of our gifts and talents sets us in a forward motion and the spiral of self sabotage ends. Pain and suffering becomes a thing of the past. Illness and aging slows. We are thriving instead of existing. What a concept! The more positive we are, the more energy we have. The more energy we have, the more people we can serve and help. The more light we can hold in our body the greater our life becomes. The spiral in reverse, is an ever uplifting one. The more we live on purpose, and serve humanity in some way, the more happiness and fulfillment we experience. Giving to others becomes fuel and food for our soul.

Haven't Experienced Yours Yet?

Sometimes, it is pain that we experience. Physical, emotional, even mental pain. Anxiety, panic attacks and depression occur when we can't move forward. Sometimes, we feel stuck feeling that there is no possible way out. We seem to be laying at the bottom of the forest unable to see the light of day, never mind seeing the forest for the trees. Pain can be what you need to spur you forward, into taking the first step towards meditation, mantras, or prayer. Pain is often the catalyst for change.

I remember how lost I felt when I did not experience The Divine. I wondered about the existence of such a being. I certainly knew that God was not the white haired robed being who was angered when teens or even adults masturbated, or didn't attend church. I knew that God was false. Finding a connection with a superior being who is loving and accepting caused me to have a transformation that cannot be removed or withdrawn. It is permanent. The game-changer for me was to be in conversation with Source energy. To have my questions answered, was amazing! It was like completing a circuit. The elevator went all the way to the top floor! The missing components simultaneously lit up. Writing for me became one of ease. Rather than having to think of what to write, all I had to do was ask. What do you want me to write about today? What do people need to hear? Writers block does not occur when you are in the flow.

Being In The Flow

There are many ways to experience being in the flow. The easiest way for me is to go into meditation. I begin with prayers of gratitude for all that I have, all my clients, my family, friends and pets. Gratitude for me opens up that connection, with all that is. It is the greased lightning. When I sit in silence after expressing my gratitude, I simply ask a question. Once asked, I wait in silence for the response. Sometimes it is a wildly funny response. The one thing I know to be sure, the guidance is never wrong. Sometimes, I get involved in other things and don't act on what I received, immediately. My reaction is delayed. When I delay, others have received the same or similar information. They may beat me to the punch. That is my issue. I am human. Sometimes, I don't feel like creating 5 videos a week, or writing 8 blogs in 5 days.

Law of Compensation- The Universal Law is the Law of Cause and effect applied to blessings and abundance that are provided for us. The visible effects of our deeds are given to us in gifts, money, inheritances, friendships and blessings.

Maintaining Balance

Meditating daily is the way I maintain balance. Not only does it ground me spiritually, it helps clear my mind, get connected and give me direction. When we go off trying to figure out what to do, we are coming from our ego minds. Instead connecting to our higher power gives you clear insight and aligns you with Divine will. In this way, we are guided rather than using our own mental constructs to run our lives. Life becomes easy, effortless when we are not being run by our ego-mind. I begin with prayers of gratitude, and requests for healing for my clients. I may do another mantra before beginning this meditation. The Divine Presence Process Meditation was given to me - I did not figure it out. I did this meditation every day, sometimes several times a day for 11 months without fail, the year I became enlightened. It was instrumental in my enlightenment process.

The more we give, the more that is given back to us. Leaving a generous tip at a restaurant will bring generosity to you. It might be from a police officer who lets you off with a warning. It could be
that your spouse is extra loving to you. Giving to others opens the door for others to give to you. Energy moves in a circle. Whatever you send out boomerangs back to you, whether it is positive or negative. My sense is that anyone who helps animals is rewarded in one way or another. The joy of the love that they share with us is just one way we are repaid.

The Love You Take Is Equal To The Love You MAKE

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

I grew up with the Beatles. I sang their songs, I watched them on television and I certainly bought their albums. I have my favorites, of course. The Long and Winding Road (McCartney) is one of my favorites. Let it Be, is certainly one of their greatest songs. Track eight, The End, on Abbey Road album is the one that has the famous quote from Paul McCartney, "The love you take is equal to the love you make."

There are many ways to look at this line from the song. It was intended to mean, what you give you get. In other words, as you love, so shall you be loved. When you give generously, love is given generously back to you. When we hold back and are inauthentic, or fake, we can't access the deepest part of our soul. It is in being completely open, and risking it all that we can have it all. Paul McCartney and Linda shared, a deep love. Paul refers to Linda as a loving wife. Of course that love continues even after death.

What About Me?

Can we have deep love and understanding with anyone? I believe so. The key is authenticity, honesty and trust. When we have this foundation, pheromones, attraction, connection opening up to allow the other person in all the way. When we open our hearts and become completely vulnerable with the other, we have the deepest connection. When we are afraid of being hurt, or are wounded, we hold back and don't receive this type of deep connection and subsequently, love.

How Can I Become Vulnerable?

Forgiveness of those who we feel have hurt us is key. When we are hanging onto old hurts and are still suffering we cannot allow another into our inner sanctum. When we turn ourselves inside out in order to please another, we are not being authentic. We are being codependent. Codependency is an addiction on a relationship. We are codependent when we place more importance on the relationship rather than ourselves and our own personal satisfaction with life. Addicted love is not healthy.

Trust

When we have made what we consider poor choices in the past, we don't trust ourselves. We feel insecure about ourselves and fear that we will repeat the same pattern all over again. Many people do. Even with much deep work, I did. Energy clearings (to clear repeating patterns) and having a coach to help keep you on track helps in a big way. As you have someone to bounce ideas off. You have someone who will support you in your growth process and guide you along the way. When you have a break through you will know it.  Trusting yourself is para mount to opening up completely. Until you do, you won't be able to trust anyone else either.

The Guide For Love

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

When our relationships sizzle with passion and are affectionate, our communication is better. We feel close and connected. A relationship has the ability to deepen and become even more loving, growing to a deeper level. When we have a deep connection, we are much more adept at weathering the storms of life.

Marlo Thomas said in a recent interview that she and her husband had a close relationship with great sex. She also said that when sex is great, it is less important than when it is bad. When sex is bad, the gap between us widens. We begin to look at ourselves critically, wondering what is wrong with us? Why aren't they interested in us? Are we too fat? Too thin? The issue is far more personal to the person rejecting us than it is to us, however. We can't possibly know what is wrong unless we ask pointed questions, opening the door to deeper communication and understanding. Which is why Orgasm For Life was written. This book will help you understand your partner. It bridges the gap between the sexes, helping men understand women better, women understanding men better AND for women to better understand THEMSELVES.

It is key for women to learn about what pleases them. How can we explain to our mates what we like and prefer, if we have no idea?

Most women don't know their most sensitive areas, or how they prefer to be touched, which means expecting another to know is downright laughable. Seriously, most of us women think that men should just .... you know.... KNOW! But they don't they can only guess and from our reaction, if we even have one, clue them in on what feels good and what doesn't.

Can you see the dilemma here? Men want to make us feel good, but don't know what to do. Since every woman is different, if they do something to one woman and get a good reaction, they might try it on us and we might slap them! Weird? I know! We are just so darned different. Read my book, Orgasm For Life. You will be so glad you did. It is more than just a guide for sex. It is an
inspirational guide for connected, sacred sex, meditative and healing sex, deeper understanding and communication. It is an all encompassing book to help create better sex, deeper intimacy, greater love and after all, isn't that what we all want? Happiness is just an orgasm away. Did you know that an orgasm is the ONLY thing that a human can do that lights up ALL the centers of the brain? Yup!  Like fireworks for the brain. So if you aren't having orgasms, get my book so you can find out how. I have a section on healing sexual dysfunction - to become orgasmic. There is a section about how beneficial sex is for health. I even include herbs, foods and things to do to excite the brain, the body and the libido!

Get to know who you are. Get to know your body. Then using my book, begin to discuss what you like, want and what you are passionate about. Passion is the basis of my upcoming book.... and that's all I can tell you about that!

A Personal Question

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

I recently received this courageous question. I felt that the question and my response was worth sharing. My personal journey is an open book. I share quite openly in my book, Orgasm For Life

I hope you remember me, forgive me for asking this question ! You are all this and that but you are single and how are your fulfilling your sexual desires ? Do you have a partner ? or what is it ? have you overcome those needs in your process of attainment of wisdom in life ? or did you simply choose to be guru for others benefit ? what is it ? thanks for letting know your secret.

Naresh,
I have to say that my spiritual journey had led me to be much more spiritual than sexual. This truly is where the human race is heading through enlightenment, self actualization and evolution.

The wisdom I receive is heavenly - Universal in nature. I am still very human, but the sexual desire although can be ignited, takes a back seat to teaching, coaching and healing. Meditation and the work I do keeps me very satisfied and fulfilled. The longing that once was present is not as prevalent. This does not mean that I am dead......
I am currently single. I had had a partner recently, however, it is very difficult to find someone that resonates with me on all levels. Tantra, spiritual and sacred sex is what is needed for a high level creative and synergistic bond with a partner.
I hope that answers your question. I appreciate your courage in asking.
Blessings,
Jennifer

His reply:
I always knew something about you is very special. Thanks for taking the time to reply to me. I am not enlightened by your thoughts and mastery of your countenance. I am humbled to know you and be your friend. It is an honour to be friend.

Where Do You FOCUS?

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

We are all individuals having our own experience. We have our own opinions. Through our thoughts we come to our own conclusions. Individuals can view the same thing. Each person will see something different even though they are viewing the exact, same thing. They view through their own filters. Our conditioning from our family of origin, life experiences from the past, is the lens we view life and relationships through. We all see very different things. Part of the human condition is to look at the negative aspect first, when we don't have sufficient information.  It is where our mind quickly goes. We judge. We criticize, or critique. When we move instantaneously into judgment, our ego mind is engaged, rather than our compassionate hearts. We need to guide our conscious mind to view things in a positive way, without judgment, and without our lens from past events. Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder. Which means everyone has a very different view of what is beautiful to them.
Joshua trees in the distance

After a month absence from my beloved Mojave desert, I walked early in the morning, while a slight frost was still on the ground. Everything was fresh and crisp. The sun was beginning to rise above the horizon and glinting off the broken glass here and there. I walked in silence looking across the vast expanse of silent sand. The Joshua trees and blooming Rabbitbrush dotted the flat, high plain. I feel a deep sense of peace and quiet here.  One could walk for hours without seeing another human being. There are few places in the United States where only one exit from town can you be in the wilderness.

Household debris

I took photos in all of the directions and wondered what others would think, if they were dropped out of an airplane and left here.

Would they hate it? What would they see? What would be a stranger's focus?

an unwanted above ground pool
In relationships, we listen to our partners speak. We watch their every move and can look at them with love, compassion or judgment and criticism. I mused this early morning, that the way we look at landscape, or the world around us, can govern where we bring our focus in relationships. Each of us is a work in progress. That is why we are in a physical body on this planet, earth. Our purpose is to learn, grow and evolve. If we were perfect we would be somewhere else, playing a harp or singing in an angelic choir. We aren't angels. We are humans. Flesh and blood with issues, challenges as well as limitations.

Each day we have choices. Where we choose to focus our attention is what we receive in return. If we are compassionate to others, we receive compassion in return. If we constantly ridicule, focus on other's imperfections and quirks; imperfections and quirks are what we see.

Rabbit den
Many people choose to take the "easy way out." Rather than go an extra four miles and take their trash to the free landfill, they go under the cover of darkness and covertly dump their debris when they think no one is looking.

I could focus on the irresponsible actions of the people who would rather trash the desert than drive the additional four miles to drop their building debris or cast-offs at the county landfill. But that would require them being responsible, caring or showing up at the appropriate times that the dump is opened. Not everyone is awake and conscious of the impact of their actions. Many people only think of themselves, rather than the footprint that they leave behind. I choose to focus on the pristine beauty that I see when I look in the other directions away from the debris. I can choose to walk in places where there is little or no trash on the sandy road. Our focus is a matter of our choosing.

Acceptance Versus Condemnation

Do you choose to focus on the fact that your partner makes a weird face when they are focused on something intensely? Thinking how much you hate that face they make? Or do you choose to think of them with lovingly acceptance and those characteristics as a part of the one you love. Do you look at your partner with eyes of love and acceptance, or through eyes of hate, judgment and perfectionism?

BLESS YOUR SPOUSE

For several years when I first lived in Georgia, I attended Mount Bethel United Methodist church. The preacher, Randy Mickler, a big Georgia Bulldogs football fan, was and still is a fabulous minister. His sermons were heartfelt, profoundly inspiring and memorable. One particular sermon spoke to me, as I was having issues in my marriage. He spoke of "Blessing your spouse." He went on to say, that instead of focusing on what you don't like about your spouse, and complaining; to BLESS THEM. This entails speaking highly of them. Revering them with your thoughts and words. He said to never speak ill of your spouse to another.

To this day, I have worked to live by these words with everyone I meet. When we focus on the good, rather than the negative, we magnify the good and the negative fades away. Randy Mickler has been the pastor at Mount Bethel for over 27 years. That says a lot about him and his teachings. His services are streamed live and the podcasts can be found on their website, on the media tab.

What You Focus On GROWS!

When I attended Mt. Bethel, I was married to an obsessive compulsive man. Dogs would sometimes bark in nearby yards at night. He would focus like a laser on that barking dog, getting more upset with each bark. I chose not to pay attention to the dog's noise, rolling over to fall asleep. He would angrily throw the covers off and stomp out of bed. He would throw up the window, yell out the windows at the barking dog, becoming even more upset. All his anger and focus on the barking dog served no positive benefit. In fact, his focus caused more suffering. He made up stories in his head about the people and how they deliberately left their dog barking to disrupt his rest. "How could they be so disrespectful and ill mannered (among other things)?"

Focus On Beauty and Beauty Is What You See
Chrysothamnus (Rabbitbrush)

Choosing to focus on the good, will change the way you view the world around you and your relationships. It is like being happy. You can choose each day to focus on the negative, like the fact that you stubbed your toe. Amplifying the negative will turn the rest of your day into a downhill slide. Or you could do an about face and think, "Good things are happening in my life right now!" Even rain changes to sunshine eventually.

It is my prayer that with through proceeds of my book, Orgasm For Life, I will enlist the people of Mojave and Rosamond to help clean up the debris and trash in the Mojave desert, restoring it to it's original pristine beauty. It is a beautiful place. Awareness of the fact that each of us has a personal responsibility to clean up our own issues. Through coaching, spiritual practise and focus we each will awaken and become conscious. With consciousness comes responsibility for our personal actions. Like picking up after ourselves, our dogs and taking trash to the waste receptacle or dump. Whether the debris you clear out is personal to you or your relationship, you help to raise the vibration of the world by doing so. Isn't it time you did your part?

5 Reasons To Let Him Go!

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

I love men! I really do. Men are usually strong and masculine and oh so different from us. We love their touch, their bodies and cuddling with them before and hopefully, after sex. We enjoy their way of thinking and the helpful ways that they try to fix any problem we might have. Men are wonderful,  well...mostly. Similar to women, there are those who are keepers and there are those that we would rather forget. This post is to help you avoid the disaster down the road, like marrying someone that will abuse you. You know the ones that leave you crying on the floor with no self esteem, penniless, car less and maybe even house-less. We all want to avoid those!

I feel compelled to write this post for those women who are feeling unsure about whether to stay or go. As a woman myself who has gone, far more than stayed. I have learned some quick techniques for finding out if your guy is worth holding on to. I will give you the low-down on the down and out so you can get out as quickly as you can! If you are dating one of these guys below, for goodness sake, don't marry them! The situation will only get worse. For those feeling stuck in relationships where they don't feel like a priority, or are beginning to wonder? Read on. These insightful tips will help you make the best decision for you and keep your bank account intact.

The Best Is Now

What you see is what you get! Don't think your love will change your man. It won't. If you don't like what you see, hear and smell, leave! Everyone is on their best behavior at the beginning of a relationship. It doesn't get any better than the beginning of a relationship. In fact, it is downhill from here on! If he doesn't respect you, leaves his clothes for you to pick up, doesn't contribute and leaves you hanging.....  What are you waiting for? An exit invitation?

DROP HIM LIKE HE'S HOT!
  1. His father just fired him and he doesn't have a job. Or he just quit a job, or is about to quit, or is always thinking of quitting. He is a quitter. Get out while his body is still warm. He will probably also tell you that his boss is an ass hole. All of his bosses are asses. Unless you want to support his ass all your life, run! Quick like a bunny!
  2. He puts your down or makes fun of you in any way. Your face, your body, your cooking....  your family.....  Be like the Tasmanian Devil and do the whirling dervish thing! Get out!
Making fun of you in any way is a sure sign of abuse down the road. Men who are abusers show early signs. Making fun, is a sure fired way to tell he will be trying to shove a fist in your face down the road, or be plain passive aggressive and angry most of your married life. An angry man will also try to control you with his anger. Been there done that wore the T-shirt and spent 8 years trying to walk away! He might even be really subversive and say something like, "I was just kidding!" Bull shit! This makes me want to throw up. Don't believe it for a moment. Yes, I get angry, this kidding thing was the ban of my existence for three years with someone I was in love with. He finally called me the "C" word when I was in Hawaii with him. Needless to say - He's outta HERE!~
  3. He raises his voice to intimidate you. This guy won't talk to you with a civil tone when he is upset or feeling threatened and insists on yelling at you. He uses anger to control you, evade situations or discussions - like the fact that he is never home, or drunk all the time, won't have sex with you, or won't call you or any other serious conversation.
  4. He has an addiction of any kind. This includes drinking alcoholic beverages including 3 beer or more a night, vape pen, smoking, meth, cocaine hookah or pot. Even if your guy doesn't actually GET DRUNK. Seriously, if your guy can't function without a drug in his system, why would you want him? Addictions lead to control issues and abuse. It is rare that an alcoholic (addict) will not be angry or abusive at some point. Usually whenever they drink. Alcoholics have issues with low self esteem. They put you down to make themselves feel better. Grab your keys and purse and run like OJ! "Oh, but he is so charismatic and well liked by everyone that knows him!" That is simply the Dr. Jekyll, Mr Hyde. He will treat everyone he sees in the outside world like gold and you like yesterday's cow dung! Believe me, I have tried three on for size and EVERYONE of them was abusive in some way! Let me count the ways, physically, emotionally, withholding love and sex. Why would you want this kind of life? God help you if you stay.
  5. He only uses text to communicate except when he wants sex, then he might make an exception. Seriously, you would be so much better off with a dog or a cat. They at least would love

you unconditionally and be there at night to snuggle.
Ladies, and I really mean Goddesses! Stand up. Be heard. If you aren't getting what you want and need: LEAVE! The crumbs of affection are so few here that you would be better off and happier on your own. You will not attract another person in a dud of a relationship. End this one cleanly. Don't say meekly, "Well let's maybe try and have a break!" NO!!!! When you close one door you open another. It is so much easier once you leave. Then you will feel freedom, empowered and better for taking care of yourself for a change. Staying in a relationship where your needs are not being met and you are being put down drains your life force energy. It depletes you, rather than completes you.

You think you won't find anyone better? Have you seen all the men out there lately? There are a million of them. The better you take

care of yourself, the better guy you will attract. If you feel you only deserve crumbs, crumbs are what you will get.

What you think you create. What you believe you receive. Instead here is your new question to the Universe. The Universe is always working to make you RIGHT. So if you say, "I can't find anyone better." Or, "I will always be alone." YOU MY DEAR ARE CORRECT! Instead say the following:

How can I effortlessly and easily find someone better than ______?

I work with women who need help feeling powerful. If this is you, contact me now. I used to feel powerless and weak. I thought I had to accept poor treatment. I took what I could get. I allowed men to walk over me. I was a people pleaser. My family raised me to be this way. I spent a lifetime overcoming what my programming was. Now I am 60 and men are knocking on my door, following me around! I am tripping over them. It is because I know that I am worth it. I love myself and you can too! You have value. You might be resistant to receiving love. We can work with that. I have many magical powers to help you feel better, more confident. Well they may not be magical, but they certainly are God-given! You will be happy and confident and empowered. Armed with good feelings you attract a better quality of man. You will feel happier and won't just accept anything or anyone who gives you attention. You deserve to be loved for who you are. You are beautiful inside and out, you just need help remembering. For a confidential private session contact Jennifer here:

Acupuncture for Libido Boosting, ED And Health!

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Auricle acupuncture (ears)

The Chinese have been using Integrative Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 2,000 years. This includes acupuncture, herbs and foods for health. The Chinese believe that food is the first medicine that needs to be used to heal and balance organs, through meridian systems in the body. Food therapy dates back to 2000 BCE. Foods are divided into four food groups and five tastes depending on their natures and characteristics. : warming, cooling, neutral, pungent, damp, Acupuncture needles inserted into points help to promote the movement of chi or energy flow throughout the body. It is believed that the blocks in our meridians that cause illness, and later on disease.

For the purposes of this article, I will focus only on Acupuncture. Personally, I have studied TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) for over 20 years. I have had acupuncture to balance an imbalance in my Spleen and Liver as well as to unblock my heart chakra when my Beloved John Armbruster died with me. I love Acupuncture. I believe in it's efficacy and validity. It has worked for me very well. Last week I visited The Southwest School of Acupuncture in Boulder, Colorado.

A Teaching Clinic

There are many advantages to being seen in a teaching clinic. One, the practitioners are very attentive. Two, you also receive three people's opinions regarding the best treatment for your condition. Thirdly, you can't beat the price. I paid $17.00 per visit, plus another $20 for herbs. If you are under the age of 55 you pay slightly more: $26.00. At my hometown Acupuncture clinic, I pay $75 a visit plus the cost of herbs. There are many Acupuncture colleges and teaching clinics around the country. Santa Fe, NM, San Diego, CA, San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, Austin and Houston, TX, Chicago, IL, Portland, Oregon, Kenmore, WA, Watertown, MA, New York, NY, and one in North Carolina.

One of my readers and fellow Linked In connections, Sandra Gould commented that in North Carolina the Acupuncturists have a community day, where you can be seen for a lot less than their regular fee.

I originally went for exhaustion. I had driven over 2,000 miles in less than two weeks. No wonder I was worn out. The practitioner took my pulse first on my left and then on my right. I was familiar with this method of diagnosis. My pulse was wiry, which I expected. My spleen chi and liver chi were out of balance. After my first treatment I felt renewed to the point that I was up till 2:00 AM writing. I went back three more times experimenting with different points and asking questions specifically about sexual dysfunction and libido.

Libido Issues

On my third visit I asked to have the points for libido focused on. I am well connected and am very present. Within 10 minutes I could feel my root chakra open up. Energy began to rush upwards. THe surge of energy did not stop when the needles were removed, it continued long after. Herbs could also be dispensed which help raise the libido without estrogen or testosterone. The reason you don't want to take these hormonal supplements is to reduce the risk of cancer.

PreMature Ejaculation or HTP

Premature ejaculation is what I affectionately call HTP, or Hair Trigger Penis. I focus on this subject in my book, because so many men have it and don't recognize it for the problem that it is. Many women are divorcing their men for this reason. After 20 years of not having orgasms, while their men jump the gun, plenty of women are getting fed up. I don't blame them. William Reich agrees with my diagnosis - underlying pent up anger and rage. Men with HTP have issues with anger, are usually passive aggressive with stuffed emotions and rage. This can be cured. An energy clearing works. Speak to me about a private session. Recognize that this is YOUR issue guys, not your wife's. If you have sex more often, you will still have the same issue. Men need to take responsibility for this issue rather than laying blame on someone else. It's okay we all have some type of issue. Wouldn't you rather have your claim to fame to be just pent up emotions? It could be worse.

Erectile Dysfunction - ED

According to TCM, Erectile Dysfunction is due to insufficient kidney chi. In plain English, you are exhausted. You have worn out your body, and are running on fumes. You need kidney chi to get an erection. The kidney and heart work together. If you take the little blue pill to get an erection, you could have a heart attack. I don't recommend taking pills for this issue. Rest, get acupuncture and take care of yourself while you are young. If you push yourself too hard, burning the candle at both ends, don't exercise regularly, and eat poorly you will have issues after 50. If you are interested in the clinical part of TCM for ED and want more information, read more here: TCM reasons for ED

Other Health Benefits From Acupuncture

  • weight loss
  • improved eye sight
  • exhaustion
  • stress relief
  • bloating
  • digestion
  • more youthful appearance
  • better sleep - better quality of sleep
  • reduces pain
  • better sex
  • greater compassion for others
  • better quality of life
  • more confidence

Acupuncture does not remove or add. Instead it helps your body do what it already knows to do. You already have everything you need inside you. Acupuncture helps you become more self aware. It raises your confidence level by reminding you that you have the power to heal yourself.

I have been using acupuncture for 20 years. I highly recommend it for so many reasons. The thing I like best about it is that TCM sees the whole body, mind and spirit as one. Rather than segmenting parts of the body and treating only that part. Our body is one system. It needs to be seen as one. When I was laying on the table for the third treatment, an intern named, Isaac put two needles in my upper arm. I instantly felt the presence of God. I had never had these points needled before. I asked him what point it was. Isaac told me: Palace of Heaven.  It is one of the only 10 Window of Heaven Points in Acupuncture. The feeling I had was expansive and full. I felt connected to all that is. I was in Heaven!
