Do You Know What Brings You Happiness?

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Like the six blind men and the elephant, we can all look at the same thing with a very different perspective. We only see what we look at. Without focusing on a subject, we don't recognize it
or have an awareness. When we don't recognize it, how can we feel it? What we're doing today is turning your focus to what makes you the happiest?

Until someone asked me the question above, I had no idea what made me happy, because I never thought of it. Once asked I found the answer changed for me. A year or two ago, I would have answered my family is what brings me the greatest joy. Today I would say it is my work and service to others that charges me up and has me feeling passionate.

Think about each of the words below and rate them on a scale of 1 to 10. If you feel very positive and happy about the word, rate it a ten. If the word doesn't make you feel happy at all rate it a one. Circle all the words that have tens in green for positive or GO! Circle all the ones with black or red. Anything five or under can be yellow for caution. If you have something that works better to help you recognize which is positive and which is less than great.

Happiness is different for everyone. You might feel a community is what brings you joy and happiness. Others might find that solitude is what brings on the bliss. Being out in nature and witnessing wildlife might be what ignites your fire and brings you happiness. Meditation might be a ten for your mate, while you find exercise creates the greatest amount of happiness and bliss for you. There are no wrong answers.

If you don't include fun and play in your life currently, find ways to do so. Life is meant to be fun. What's stopping you? Life is short have a ball! Play reduces stress and raises serotonin levels in the brain. Serotonin is what keeps you from feeling depressed and anxious. Yes, play will help you reduce anxiety as well. Stress is the number one cause of illness and disease. So get playing!

I would love to hear what your answers were. Join the conversation on Facebook. When my son asked me this question years ago, I hadn't thought of how to create more happiness and joy on purpose before. Since that time, I have shifted my schedule so that my day incorporates the greatest amount of events that I enjoy and a few of the ones I enjoy less in smaller increments of time.

Examples Of LifeStyle Changes For Greater Happiness

Once we recognize the greatest source of joy for us, we also have the data to see what are our least favorite activities. Whenever possible delegate the things you don't enjoy doing. Hire someone to assist you with the housekeeping for example if you hate to clean, but love a clean house. If life brings you down, its time to hire me as your coach so that I can help to dovetail your life to find your joy, passion, and inspiration and clear the limiting beliefs and blocks to happiness.

If you hate commuting, but live two hours away from your office, see if you can work from home and telecommute several days a week. If you hate your job, focus on finding work you love to do so that you have fun working, then it doesn't even feel like work any longer.

The purpose of this exercise is to raise awareness of what it is in your life that gives you the greatest amount of joy. Follow the joy to raise your level of happiness. Do more things that bring you the number ten. If you aren't able to eliminate those activities that don't light you on fire, add some novelty and create unusual ways to exercise or commute with music or audible books to learn while you are on the road. Happiness is more about making choices to emphasize what you love and doing things in novel ways to keep you from falling asleep on the road of life.

What patterns do you have that you have lived with your entire life? What are you avoiding? What are you still afraid of?

With Gratitude for you!

Love Has The Power To Heal You Faster

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Love is a powerful healer. It can heal a wound on a child, a blister on an adult faster than without it, and even rejuvenates nerve damage. Don't believe me? The Scientists have proven that love heals the body faster when you are in a healthy happy
marriage or relationship. Love even reduces cortisol levels caused by stress. When you are in a marriage or relationship where there are frequent arguments, nagging or abuse, your body will heal more slowly.

Professor Stephanie Ortegue of Syracuse University studied people's brains and found the following:

  1. 12 areas of the brain are stimulated when in love, working in tandem.
  2. Testosterone and estrogen surge
  3. Oxytocin, Adrenaline, Dopamine and Vasopressin also surge through the body
  4. Seratonin levels are the equivalent to an obsessive compulsive person
  5. The dopamine levels are that of someone on cocaine.
Dr. Helen Fisher a neurohormonal anthropologist at Rutgers University studied the effect of love on the brain. She performed scans of the brain to discover that our brain on drugs looks very much like someone on cocaine. The reward centers of the brain are lit up. Her findings were that love increases testosterone, which increases sex drive in both men and women. Sex increases oxygenation to the blood and organs, reduces stress and calms the nervous system.

Love Is Addictive!

Love Is A Drug!

You Feel Crazy In Love!

Nerve Growth Factor

NGF is released when in love. This NGF causes nerves to heal faster.

You Heal Faster In A Healthy Loving Relationship

According to The Institutes of Health, 37 married couples checked into a hospital for 24 hours. They were studied over a two-week period after blisters were created on their arms. Blood samples were taken from each person. Those in happy, loving and supportive relationships with good communication healed faster than those who weren't.

Happy Couples Live Longer

Science has proven that happy couples live longer. A couple was interviewed on The Today show recently. They have been married 81 years. John and Ann Betar eloped on Nov. 25, 1932, fleeing their Syrian neighborhood in Connecticut. They have been together ever since. John is 104 and Ann is 100. Their secret? Meeting each other's needs.

Stress Levels

If you have had a tough day at work, your stress levels fall once you arrive home to a reassuring voice and hug. Loving touch reduces stress. Sex also reduces stress.

If when you arrive home, your spouse nags, complains or puts you down, your stress levels increase.

How Fast Do We Fall In Love?

We can fall in love in as little as a fifth of a second! For some it takes a little longer, between 90 seconds and four minutes.

We fall in love with the way someone moves (55%) and their voice (33%) faster than what it is that they are saying (only 7%).

Wishing you a loving Valentine's Day. Remember, love heals. Be kind. Stop nagging and just love each other! Now go have some fun!

I love you!
Jennifer

Tread Softly This Holiday

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

As I wrap up my time here in Boulder, Colorado in the cold and head for warmer weather in Toronto, Canada a word of caution for this Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. A lovely combination of the slowing of the planet Uranus (which is known for destroying and undoing) coupled with the last full moon of 2015, could increase challenges, difficulties, and communication. Emotions could be stronger than usual and triggered abruptly.

Just a few suggestions to help you navigate those dinner-time conversations when embarrassing questions are asked about your upcoming engagement, pregnancy or promotion. If you are single, like me, there are often questions about when we are going to grow up or get a real job. This is for you! This article is written tongue in cheek, we all need a better sense of humor when spending time with family members and loved ones.

  1. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer pretend you didn't hear and ask for more mashed potatoes.
  2. When asked how many cats or dogs you now have tell the inquiring person you are starting your own non-profit shelter and have a no kill policy.
  3. When your children are critiqued by grandma or grandpa, smile at the octogenarian and tell them that you encourage creativity and individuality, rather than following the crowd. You are raising an individual, a world-changer. World changers are different and bounce to a different beat. Thanks for noticing Grandma! Don't forget to tell her how much you appreciate her wisdom and input.
  4. If someone tells you that you have gained weight, tell them that you just won a hot dog eating contest and haven't taken all your winnings off as yet.
  5. If you are a vegan or vegetarian, you can just as easily answer the above question about weight gain that you are trying out a new collagen booster and it may look as if you have gained weight, but it is really just collagen.
  6. If you are slaving in the kitchen and no one is helping, tell your guests that the good news is that they get to eat today! The bad news is that they get to help put dinner together! Get some
    help. Don't do everything yourself.
  7. I have a very dysfunctional family. I smile and nod a lot while eating my food. I don't get triggered by their attempts to put me down for being a "hippie coach," or "whatever you do...."
  8. Eat less and chew more. When we are upset our digestive system doesn't work as well. Anxiety and food don't mix. Breathe and smile. Know that you are only connected by DNA. Love, love, love is what they all need.
  9. As the penguins in the movie, Madagascar say, "Smile and wave boys! Smile and wave!" Know you will be leaving soon and this holiday will be a fond memory before you know it! Tell family members how much you love them, no matter how annoying they might be after several days.
  10. Make your presence the important part of Christmas, rather than the presents the focus. Time spent in conversation with loved ones mean so much to those we don't see often. Enjoy
them while you have them, life is short and we all end up taking a dirt nap at the end of our road, so make the time while you are here happy and enjoyable. Don't get caught up in who did what to whom. You are no longer 8!
December 29, 2014
Wishing you a wonderful and happy Christmas. Tread softly and spread the love. Smile more and breathe deeply. There is plenty of time to sleep at the end of the road! I am off to Toronto to spend Christmas with my 93-year old mother. We just don't know what tomorrow may bring, make the best of today, no matter what.

Bitch To Bliss

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

I love women. I can appreciate beauty in another. I admire a beautiful body, jacket or handbag. I tell women that they are beautiful when I meet them. I didn't always feel this way about other women. I have been on the receiving end of criticism, jealousy and rancor from women. We begin to truly appreciate others when we accept ourselves as we are. Until we do, we might feel jealous, or less than other women.

Women are powerhouses. Women give life, feed, care for and lovingly nurture children, pets, husbands and all manner of critters our progeny bring home. We create homes out of houses. Women keep households running. They take care of the sick, heal, bathe, clean and keep the laundry up to date.

Don't get me wrong, women can be bitches. We can be viciously jealous of others, complain, nag and strive for perfection. We say no when we mean yes then wonder why we didn't say yes afterward. Women are difficult to understand. In fact, for the opposite sex we can be confounding. When upset or angered most women can castrate their men with a piercing look or a simple word. Yes, we can be bitches. But do we have to be?

Power Through Softness

I maintain that women opt for bitchiness because it is scary. We tend to appear more powerful when we are bitching. Often our bitchiness moves mountains. Most men would rather get the job done, than endure another moment of scathing looks or words. Scaring our offspring and lovers does not endear us. In fact, bitchiness can make our men run for the hills, or softer, more nurturing pastures.

There is another way to get our point across or the job done. A smiling face and welcoming hug are certainly more appealing than our arms crossed across our bosom as if to say, "No one shall enter here!"

I know what it feels like to be or act like a bitch. I used to be one. My emotions were out of control. The only female role model I had been imprinted by was my mother. I witnessed her wrath on many occasions. Nagging was a way of life. We all tuned her out. Silence was my mother's go-to punishment for my father. I am not sure whether he preferred the silent treatment over her bitching wrath? I do know he found a way to tune her out. He found a hobby that kept him busy for hours. His hobby was one that involved winemaking, tasting and bottling. For years, my father retired to the basement where he stirred, watched, sniffed, filtered and tasted his fine wines. Alcohol was his way of avoiding my mother. It soothed his soul, mind and calmed his nerves. It also pissed our matriarch off.

Bad Behavior

Our negative behavior or unbridled anger only pushes our partners away. Anger is a way of showing disapproval without really conversing about the subject where we object. Anger is avoidance of the truth or emotions. Anger is the only emotion that most of us can experience or express, due to our family of origin. New behaviors must be adopted and learned to move beyond avoidance, bitching and nagging.

Why then do we continue to act in this way, if it doesn't work? What are other ways of getting our brood to hear us and do our bidding? It is what we want, right? What most of us want is to have others do what we want.

Manipulation As A Maneuver

Getting another to perform a task or do what we want is manipulation. Giving sex as a reward for household chores or duties provided makes sex transactional. We become little more than married prostitutes when we use sex to get what we want.

Over the next few weeks, I will explore a variety of communication styles and the results you can hope to receive. No one wants to be called a bitch. So why would we act like one?

To be continued....

6 Reasons Why Touch Is So Important

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

In over 30 years of research of married couples, sex was rated a 6 out of 10. Never did it rate higher than this mid-range score. Sex although exciting for many, even exhilarating for others, is not the be all and end all of relationships. When there is no touch outside of the bedroom, people can feel disconnected, rather than revered and loved. Loving marriages incorporate touch while talking, sitting on the couch, cheek to cheek contact, snuggling, hugging and hand-holding. Touch was one of the most important facets of a loving marriage. If there is one thing to add to your relationship right now, touch would be it.

Teens and the elderly are most touch deprived.

For those of us who live alone, or in relationships where touch isn't happening, rest assured you are sensory deprived. When we don't receive touch on a regular basis, we may shun human contact. We protect ourselves with an invisible shell. Find out what touch can do to help you reduce anxiety and live a healthier, thriving existence.

Humans need touch to thrive. Some people may go for weeks, or even months without being touched. In the workplace, it is uncommon for business people to touch. From cell phone to computer, our lives are becoming more disconnected. We are moving away from close contact and intimacy in our "advanced" computer age.

1. Reduce Anxiety. It seems everyone I talk to is experiencing anxiety. Touch calms our nerves, reducing anxiety.  A touch on the arm, shoulder, or hand to show another person you are present, caring and interested in what they are saying can be the only touch that they receive in a week. Even a hug that lasts seconds can ground you, calm you down and help you to feel loved.

2. A Sense of Belonging. Conversations with other humans can give us a sense of belonging. We forget that we are tribal by nature. We need to feel a connection with others to feel alive. Touch is an important facet of communication. Even with those we are not intimate with, a touch on the elbow, hand or top of the arm, can calm someone down within seconds.

3. Deepening A Bond. Touch is a part of connection. Children, often get their need for touch met, where teens may not. As our children begin to break away from the nest, they resist being touched, therefore missing a great part of the family bonding experience. When we fight with those we love, we resist touching them. Touch can bring you back to love. A kiss on the forehead, a hug, holding someone's hand releases oxytocin which is the feel-good or "God hormone," helping us bond with our newborn babies to deepen our connection with them at birth.

4. Fills Our Sensory Tank. We have a need to be touched. Touch and affection are such a great need that babies actually died when they did not receive it. Our bodies actually become twitchy, stressed and anxiety filled when we don't receive our daily quota. A gently stroking downward on a person's arm gently lets their unconscious mind know everything is all right.

5. Reduces Blood Pressure. Studies have shown that touch alone can lower blood pressure. Think of it this way, how many of our men and women have high blood pressure that could be cured with touch? Why not try this experiment at home. Test your blood pressure, write it down and then begin a regimen of regular touch - at least three times a day with your partner. After a week write down your blood pressure. Continue the touching for a second week, with daily touching three times a day or more. Then test your blood pressure again. I would love to hear your results.

6. Improved Outlook. Touch allows us to feel connected with others. Cuddling reduces depression - without a prescription! When we are touched with regularity, pessimism is reduced. Imagine that? People are more positive when they are touched regularly. Have a mother-in-law that complains? Or maybe your own mother? Try this out. Visit her daily. Hug her. Touch her arm while talking to her. Put your hand on her shoulder when you walk by to get her a cup of tea. Touch her as often as you can when with her and see how this improves her attitude. I want to hear from you also!

Don't allow yourself to get so busy with life that you miss out on this important aspect of a healthy life. Filling your belly with healthy food is only one part. Touch is as necessary to our brain and physical well-being allowing us to feel more calm, connected and appreciated.

Types Of Touch

Me getting a massage in a Denver shopping mall
Has it been so long you don't remember all the different types of touch? Rub noses like Eskimos, kiss your lover's eyelids, earlobes, or massage their ears, butterfly kisses, raspberries on someone's belly, brush your partner's hair, or better yet, get into the shower together and soap them up rubbing your body all over theirs. If you are alone, go to the mall, like I did (pictured) and get a massage. Touch is important for your health, well-being and longevity.

Pets

As you know, I am an animal lover. My border collie Karma groans when I touch her and lifts her leg so I can rub her heart chakra. It is her favorite place to be touched. It allows her to feel loved. My cat Percy demands touch by pawing at me until I pet him. He usually lays against my computer while I write. Animals teach us how important touch is. They let us know they need it with their actions. Think about the humans around you. How can you touch them more, and receive some in return? Please share this article with your friends and family. Help me get the word out to the world. Thank you.

With Love and big energetic hugs,
Jennifer

Can't Meditate? Think Again!

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

There are many ways that we self-sabotage our lives, relationships and success. The biggest one is saying, "I can't do ___________ " fill in the blank. We have all done it at one time or another. One of the things that I teach my clients is how to meditate. Why? Because it helps to calm mind chatter, bring a sense of peace, grounding and alleviates depression.

Deepak Chopra has said that the closest most people have come to meditation is by having sex. Sexual energy is the primal and creative force of the universe flowing through us. Scientists agree that meditation and sex do the same thing to the mind: quiet mind chatter, create mindfulness, alleviate depression, raise awareness, lower stress levels, bring a sense of a dissolving of the ego and the self.

Both sex and meditation bring a blissed out feeling to the mind and body, help us be in the present moment connecting us to our spiritual selves, unless your sex is a 2-minute mindless quickie. Meditating prior to sex can deepen your experience and connect
you profoundly to your partner during sex and beyond. Meditation will increase your confidence, help you with emotional issues and life challenges and bring you deep happiness. From my personal experience, if I am having a challenge, going into meditation will shift my mood, focus and help me feel more positive within minutes. I highly recommend meditation!

If you don't know how to meditate, here are some easy ways that I share with my clients that I coach.

without turning your head up, breath deeply
  1. My trick to quiet the mind: sit upright, relax the shoulders, without lifting your head, turn your eyes upward towards the ceiling. Look at the ceiling for two-to-three minutes. Close your eyes and begin your meditation. You can continue to turn your eyeballs upward under your closed lids to further quiet your mind.
  2. Breathe in slowly. Exhale slowly. Many meditation teachers recommend that you follow your breath. I had a difficult time with this one. I suggest slowing the breath and being aware of it. Slow inhalation. Slow exhalation.
  3. Bring your focus to your heart. Most people begin to meditate from their minds which is problematic due to the mind chatter. We want to get into our heart center. There are several ways to get into your heart. You can begin noticing your feet and the energy in your feet. Slowly focus on your ankles and their energy of aliveness. Move up to your calves, noticing the energy there. Move upward into your thighs, then abdomen and fall backward into your heart chakras in the center of your chest. Meditating from your heart will connect you to your High Self and your Divine. Gradually, you will find it progressively easier to get into your heart with greater speed. Speed isn't the focus however. Be patient with yourself. It will get so much easier the more you practice.
  4. Using a mantra (several are listed below) repeat the mantra in your mind. Yes, you can say the mantra out loud, but gurus from India have told me that it is much more profound to repeat the mantra silently. I agree. You can count the number of times you repeat the mantra silently with mala beads. I use 108 repetitions, although I often go off into oblivion and lose track, which is the point of meditation. Don't drive yourself crazy counting. It removes you from the moment and takes your mind away from the bliss and purpose of meditation, quieting the mind.
  5. Without a mantra, you can just sit upright in silence and turn your focus inward. When I first began meditation I thought it was more spiritual to be out of your body - it isn't. Quite the opposite. When we are out of the body we are running away from ourselves. The point of being your own guru is to be focused inward. Go inside Grasshopper!
  6. Meditate in the morning before you leave for work or begin your day. When you do, you will find that you are more focused, calm, positive and happy. Meditate before sex for a more profound experience for both of you (or one of you, whichever the case may be).
  7. Always meditate sitting up. Meditation is not prayer. Prayer is asking or giving gratitude. Meditation is an opportunity for the Universe, God, The Divine to speak to you. The more meditation you do, the better connection you will have, the more insight that shows up in your life, the better your life becomes.
  8. Meditation is not work. Meditation is a profound connection with your high self, Source energy (God/The Divine/The Universe) all that is.
  9. Always notice as you sit down to meditate that you are upright, centered and relaxed. Relax your shoulders some more because I see them up around your ears. Relax! If you can't seem to get centered, remember to focus on slowly inhaling and exhaling.
  10. My animals know when it is time for me to meditate. They line up waiting to sit with me because they love the energy. If
animals feel it, think of what it can do for you!

Mantras

A mantra is a phrase that is repeated either out loud or silently. You can repeat a phrase all day long in the background of your mind to remove negative programming. I did it for over 8 years. It works! A mantra that is positive, life affirming and spiritually grounded will help you shift negative thinking and your energy. Here are a few that I have used and love:

  1. I LOVE ME!
  2. THE UNIVERSE LOVES ME.
  3. I AM LOVE.
  4. I AM WHOLE, PERFECT, STRONG, LOVING HARMONIOUS AND HAPPY.
  5. THE LIGHT OF THE DIVINE INSIDE ME LOVES ME.
  6. I AM THE LIGHT OF THE DIVINE INSIDE ME.
  7. The Moola Mantra (see video)
  8. The Gayatri Mantra (wonderful used by Hindu people for enlightenment) shifts your energy beautifully.

I just taped a fabulous show on BBS with Linzi Levinson, yesterday about the dissection of an orgasm and how meditation and sex do the same thing for the body and mind. These two shows will air in August, 2015. I invite you to check out Linzi's radio show and the archives, as I have been interviewed by her many times. Linzi and I have great chemistry together and she brings out the best in me on the air.

5 Simple Ways To Cure Your Anxiety

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Stress causes a slew of heath problems Some of which are of heart disease, depression and anxiety. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 6 million full- and part-time American workers suffer from anxiety. Many of these 6 million have desk jobs. There are simple ways to alleviate stress most of which require you to get off your butt!

Why Be Concerned About Stress?

A little stress can help you focus. However, long-term stress increases the risk of conditions like obesity, heart disease, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, depression, gastrointestinal problems, migraines and asthma.

Once home, many people "unwind" by watching 2 hours of television (36 %) or playing an hour or two of video games a night (10%) while some get on their computers for an hour or more (29%). All of these activities can increase stress, rather than decrease it. Depending on the shows or movies you watch, action
adventure or thrilling movies can further increase your stress levels, rather than reduce it. Video games also can cause blood pressure and heart rate to rise. There are alternatives to sitting around after work that are better for you. A combination of meditation and movement will improve health, mood and reduce anxiety.

  1. Meditate daily. Daily meditation with visualization can reduce stress and anxiety. Begin your day with 20 minutes of silence,
going within. Visualize your best possible day and set an intention for the best possible outcome for all concerned.
  2. Take a walk with your four-legged friends, family or partner. Exercise reduces stress and eliminates anxiety. Being out in nature can shift your mood and emotions faster than anything you put in your mouth.
  3. Work out in a gym three times a week or more. Working out can boost endorphins making you feel good. The added benefit is that your body becomes healthier while your anxiety levels are reduced. You might have to get a license for those guns!
  4. Sex reduces anxiety and stress. Whether you have sex for one, or with a partner, having an orgasm releases feel-good hormones and will drop your stress level 50% or more.
  5. Use a mantra in the background of your mind while doing mindless tasks, like driving, changes brain waves from
incongruent to congruent, as if you are in a sleep state while waking. Congruent brain waves also help to alkalize the body, preventing disease. A mantra could be as simple as, " The Universe loves me."

Happy Clients!

Thank you so much Jennifer for your excellent online course "Love Yourself Fearlessly" and one-on-one coaching. I now have more self-love, and appreciate the great importance of it. Your statement that self-love is the quickest path to enlightenment says it all. The lessons were one big eye-opener after another; collectively they made a considerable impact on my life, on the way I think about myself and on how I view and interact with others. The effect of the past life clearings you facilitated has been amazing, I feel like a life-long burden has at last been removed from my shoulders. In addition, you helped me see my codependent habits through your coaching, more clearly and I feel better prepared to attract my perfect divine partner. I'm so grateful. With love and appreciation, Colleen K.

I Was A Last Resort

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

When I first moved to Boulder, Colorado, I remember my daughter being swallowed up by a warm and accepting group of friends. While my daughter was at school and having fun with her friends, I spent my days alone, walking the trails with my dog, Karma. One day while walking, I asked for a friend. "God please send me a friend to walk with, that loves dogs as much as I do." That very day, Leslie arrived. Leslie was warm, loving, kind. A married woman and mother of two teenage boys. She was spiritual as well, creating a loving environment for her family in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. We hit it off instantly.

On my last day in Colorado, my daughter and I were busting our butts to get ourselves packed up before the snow hit. Leslie, generous as always, showed up in the nick of time to help us with the final packing and took three loads of our discards to Goodwill so we could get out of town. If we had to make those drops to Goodwill with the trailer, we would never have gotten out in time to narrowly miss the blizzard that hit the day we left. Ariel and I both were given information about snow coming in on October 22nd. We knew we had to be out by noon that day

After we moved from Boulder, Leslie gave us a place to stay, whenever  we returned to Boulder. She was always giving with an open heart. She recently asked me to house sit for her while she and her husband traveled to Los Angeles to look at colleges with their youngest son in California. Her dogs knew me well. Her departure

date coincided with me leaving another place which allowed me to rest a little longer while taking care of her dogs and house.

Upon my arrival in Boulder Leslie texted me that her older son (we'll call him "Hunter,") who was a complete vegan had a terrible rash. She had taken Hunter to the doctor who gave him a Prednesone shot and prescription none of which worked. He could not work because of the irritation and had not slept in two weeks. The itch was profound and literally making him feel insane. He was emotional and in despair. In desperation, she also took him to a Biofeedback Practitioner in Boulder and spent over $200 on the session and herbs.

Even Worse

After spending several hundred dollars with no results, and a more profound itch, she texted me. Could I help? Of course, I texted back.

Over the course of that Saturday, I did three clearings. One total clearing and two emotional clearings. I found that he was being triggered by the fact that his younger brother was about to embark on a new and exciting journey. Even though Hunter had had his own, traveling to Israel twice in recent months and doing an internship there.

How Fast?

Leslie asked me how quickly my clearing would help, I told her immediately. A remote clearing can be done anywhere in the world with profound results. It does not matter if you live in Bali, and I am in California, energy patterns, blocks, limiting beliefs and trapped emotions can be cleared. Within an hour Hunter was fast asleep and slept for 12 straight hours. He woke up itching again. I
cleared him twice more and he has been fine ever since. I also did an in person hypnotherapy session on Hunter which helped him see that he did not have a plan, focus or purpose in his life. Self love was the thing lacking. He was beating himself up because he was not in college. With his brother about to attend, he was feeling tremendous pressure to achieve and be successful.

Emotional Triggers

Each time I brought up the subject of his younger brother, Hunter would begin to cry. He did not realize prior to my questioning how much his younger brother going to college in the fall was affecting his self worth. Once I compassionately pointed out that he needed
to have a purpose for his life, so that he could be productive and give back in some way, he felt more peaceful. I had him focus on what he loved about himself, what he loved to do and what he was passionate about. Once I questioned him about his passion, photography came up. He was very excited about photography.

A Gift and A Lesson

Because of the clearing that was done, Hunter received an amazing offer to be an assistant for a prominent Boulder, photographer. He had called her two weeks prior, but she had not returned his call. His emotional state was not allowing this new job to materialize. Once I cleared the blocks, the job came through within days, easily and effortlessly.

Life Purpose

Everyone has a life purpose or soul path. If we are not living our life purpose (soul path) we can feel lost, and broken. When we are in alignment with our soul purpose, happy with ourselves and our lives, we become much more accessible to our partners. If we don't have a partner, once we are happy with us, we become infinitely more attractive and positive, therefore the love we feel for ourselves bubbles up and magnetizes love to us.  Once we feel complete love and acceptance for ourselves, amazing synchronicity begins to unfold for us daily.

Soul Blueprint

We each have a soul blueprint. We come into our family of origin and are imprinted with their DNA and blueprint. Sometimes the imprinting of our families is so burdensome that we can't seem to
make headway. Having a clearing done to eliminate the negative programming and underlying blocks that our family has had for generations, can free us to live our higher purpose.

Often our families have a tremendous amount of baggage that we can hoard and carry with us. Generational clearings help both you and your ancestors to be free of this negative programming and Karma. Sometimes, families have a history of financial lack, poverty and challenges that repeat with each generation.

Meditation Lowers Cortisol in 20 Minutes A Day

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Cortisol is a stress hormone. When we have high levels of cortisol in our bloodstream out natural healing mechanisms in
Belly fat - sign you have too much cortisol
our body can't work. In just 20 minutes a day, you can reduce cortisol levels and allow your body to self heal.

9 Signs You Have Way Too Much Cortisol

  1. You can't sleep through the night.
  2. Even when you do sleep you wake up tired.
  3. You crave unhealthy foods. While doing my taxes, I indulged in chocolate covered cookies and chocolate covered almonds. Although I loved those foods, I know that they cause acidity in my body and aren't good for me. Doing activities that stress us out cause us to turn to things that we know aren't good for us.
  4. Your sex drive resides in the toilet. Yup, not wanting sex is a sign your cortisol levels are too high.
  5. You get sick easily. Colds, flu, etc wave in the wind and you get them.
  6. You have gotten a beer gut and you don't even drink the stuff! Putting on weight around your stomach is a sure sign your cortisol levels are too high. When you have fat around your abdomen, that is also a sure sign of fat around your internal organs as well. Fat around your heart also means fat in your bloodstream, clogged arteries are on their way!
  7. You feel anxious.
  8. You feel blue, sad or depressed.
  9. Your gut acts up. This could mean constipation, bloating, diarrhea. Taking probiotics have little to no effect.
Adrenal Fatigue

When our cortisol levels are high for long periods of time, our adrenals are pushed. With high levels of stress, our adrenals dump cortisol into the bloodstream. Pushing our adrenals causes adrenal fatigue. No matter how much sleep we get, we still feel exhausted.

congruent brain waves - slow, round
When we have high levels of cortisol in our bloodstream we feel a sense of doom and gloom. Everything begins to look bleak because our serotonin production is minimized. Serotonin is one of our feel good hormones which help us feel happy, blissful and sleep well at night.

How Meditation Works

With reduced levels of cortisol your body works the way it should. With only 20 minutes of meditation a day, our bodies relax, slow down and feel safe. Our brain waves slow, becoming congruent, rounder and softer. With congruent brain waves, acidity in our body is reduced, serotonin is produced and stress hormones are curbed.

Quieting The Mind

Meditation is one of the things I thought I could never do because of mind chatter. What I found through years of practice is that most of us meditate from our brains. We need to be in our hearts to really quiet the mind chatter. Here are three different ways to quiet the mind and get into your heart so you can spend 20 minutes in peace, tranquility and harmony with ease.

1. Practise The Heart Connection

Place your dominant hand on the flat space above your breast/chest touching your collar bones. When you dip your chin, it will come into contact with your hand to let you know it is in the correct placement. Breathe into your hand slowly, 5 times. Exhale slowly and completely each time. This will help you connect to your heart. Your heart has it's own intelligence.

2. Count

Sitting in meditation in either a chair or on a pillow, count in your head to ten, slowly. Once you get to ten, count backwards to one. Begin to meditate from here. The counting gives your mind something to do and will calm the thoughts.

3. Eyes To Ceiling

This exercise works great but certainly stretches your eye muscles. Which actually can help to improve eyesight. Keeping your head level and straight, turn your eyeballs upwards towards the ceiling. Do not lift your chin or head. Only turn your eyeballs up towards the ceiling. Sit with your eyes lifted looking at the ceiling for five minutes. Begin to meditate from here. Close your eyes and turn your eyes under your closed lids towards your hairline. This will continue to keep your mind quiet.

Meditate

Sitting with your back straight in a chair or propped up in your bed, begin to follow your breath. Breathing out slowly, just watch as your breath goes out and comes in. With your eyes closed and a slight smile on your lips, begin to notice where your shoulders are. Relax them. Breathe in and relax your shoulders a little more. You will be surprised at how much stress you hold in your shoulders and neck. With each breath let go a little more. Begin with 10 minutes of sitting still and just breathing slowly.

With time you can add more time. I personally meditate with a mantra. I use the following mantras deciding which one to use as I begin to slow my breath.

Mantras

I am the light of The Divine inside me.

This mantra helps you recognize your own inner Divinity. Each of us is and holds a piece of The Divine within us. Which makes us Divine beings of light. This is a beautiful meditation which helps your come into contact with your own Divinity.

Om mane padme hom

This mantra means no more suffering. Great mantra, simple and easy to use.

Gayatri Mantra

Om , bhurbhuvaha svha
Tat savitur varenyanium
Bhargo devasyvya dimahi
Dhiyo yonah prachodayat

This one is my personal favorite. It has been used in India for thousands of years. It is said to lead to enlightenment and cleanse the soul. Certainly a beautiful mantra. You can follow Deva Premal below. I do this mantra 108 times or more. It will certainly bring you into a beautiful place of inner peace and harmony.

Sex and Meditation

Meditating can shift your mood faster than anything I know. Meditating before sex can allow two people to connect more deeply and profoundly than they have ever before. Each of your personal Divine selves shows up instead of the ego self. It is a beautiful place to begin making love.

My purpose is to bring you the latest information to assist you and your partner have the best experience you can, while deepening your connection and the intimacy between you.

The best sex is when love and a powerful connection are present. Moving sex into the realm of sacred is my mission. If you enjoyed the article, please share it with your friends.
