Show Me You Love Me!

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

You matter to me. You probably have no idea how much. Of the 300 - 400 hits a day I have here on this blog, I have only had three of you respond to my survey, which is less than 1%. To those that have responded. Thank you. I am grateful that you loved me enough to take the time to fill out my survey.

Love is a reciprocal thing. I am just not feeling it in return from you. I promise I don't ask for your social security number, bank account information or how much you weigh! Show me some love and take my survey - thank you. I am grateful for you. Tell me what you want and need. It is good practice. When you learn to express yourself authentically, you will be so much happier in all your relationships.

The more you give, the more you get. As you do one thing is how you do everything. If you are not getting the love you want
in your life, you are probably not giving it either.

I would love to give you more of what you want, answer your burning questions and tell you what I know, but I am not sure I am hitting the mark with all of you. This survey is a good way for me to understand your needs. Please take the five or fewer minutes it takes to answer the 10 questions. Show me how much you love me. Give a little in return.

Even if you don't agree with everything I write, that's okay. I don't expect you to. The other side of this equation is, that I am working to add larger share buttons. I want to get my message out in a bigger way. I have retreats planned and workshops in the works.... but I need more people to read my blog. I need more followers, more people to show some love to. More people to help wake up. So please share this. Right now there are very small buttons at the end of this post. If these share buttons don't work properly, let me know. Click LIKE for my Face Book page, show me some love there. That is an easy way to communicate with me - effortlessly. Click LIKE and then you can!

If you have technical expertise and know how to add those darn buttons, that would be great too. It takes a village. I know I am here for a purpose. My purpose is not about staying small, it is about helping more people wake up, fall in love with themselves and live

a happier, connected life. The truth is, I need you. I need you to share this. You know at least three people who are struggling with their lives. How many people have you talked about me and what I do to? 1? 2? None? If not, why not?

Jennifer Elizabeth Masters woke up and smelled the coffee in 2012. What does that mean? She no longer feels longing, lonely or alone. How did she get here? She learned to love herself completely. Does that mean she is perfect? Absolutely not. What it does mean, is that she can help you get there. She knows how to heal anxiety, depression and self-loathing, belief systems, blocks and trapped emotions. Pretty soon Jennifer will be only doing large group coaching and an Elite Master Mind. If you want one-on-one coaching you better take advantage of it while it is still available.

catalystic coach, just talking with Jennifer can shift you. Isn't it time you lived the life of joy, happiness and connection you deserve?

Jennifer can help you get there so much faster. She will pull you up when you are down, tell you when you are full of the brown stuff and make you laugh at yourself when
you need to. As a partner in your journey, Jennifer will empower you to be yourself in a bigger more authentic way. Joy and happiness are just around the corner. If you haven't gotten her by yourself, isn't it time you hired a partner in your journey that can give you the leg up you need? It took Jennifer almost 30 years of study, searching, learning and stretching herself to get her. Jennifer can help you do it in less than a year! Connect with her here.

10 Ways To Make Thanksgiving One of True Gratitude

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

A homeless friend we helped in Colorado

There are many who are homeless this Thanksgiving. Thousands of people are lonely, hungry and looking for a place to stay warm. Thanksgiving is normally one of my favorite holidays. My mother, brothers and their families all live north
of Toronto. I won't be seeing them. My children will be in other states. I know that I am never alone. Although I won't have family with me, there is community around me. I am grateful for my community. This Thanksgiving, I will cook my turkey, pumpkin pie and take it to the homeless shelter closest to my home. I will carve up my turkey and sit down and eat with some hungry lonely men, women and children. It is an opportunity to give back to my community. I am grateful for an opportunity to do so. If you are alone, hungry or need a place to be with other people, here are some different options. Find one that feels the best for you.

1. Buy Groceries For A Family In Need
Each year communities help those in need. You can help also by giving to charities, providing bags of food at your local grocery stores.

2. Serve Dinner At a Homeless Shelter
Or even serving in your church. Many churches nearby serve a hot meal to those who need one, once a week. It is a chance for people to come inside and sit down in safety and eat in community. They will even give you the leftovers to take home.

3. Give to A Charity
Family-To-Family is a charity that assists families with clothing, food, books and other supplies that they need. You can contact them through this link to find out how you can give. From books, to meals to clothing, if you have plenty and would like to share, there are many who could use your help. http://www.family-to-family.org/

4.  Take a Meal To A Single Person Who is Alone

Cooking for a large family is almost easier than cooking for yourself. I know of several people who are eating a can of soup for Thanksgiving dinner because they don't have money for the food, or they don't have the energy to cook for themselves. If you know of someone who is alone, bring them a dinner, along with a piece of pie.

5. Invite A Someone To Dinner
What is one more? Invite a neighbor you know is alone over for turkey dinner. The holidays are a tough time to be totally alone. Even if they don't stay long, a holiday meal with people is so much more enjoyable than eating all alone.

6. Deliver A Meal To Your Local Fire Department or Other Service Organization. Many people have to work on holidays. It is a day like any other.

7. Visit A Local Retirement Home
Many elderly people are alone. Holidays can be a very difficult time. Bring a plate of cookies or something festive. Home baked goods are always a hit.

8. Recently Separated or Divorced Men and Women
Invite a divorced friend over. Often one parent has the children and the other is left all alone. For the first few holidays, this can be a very difficult time for a recently separated or divorced person. You will bring some joy into an otherwise very difficult and challenging day.

9. Panhandlers Get Hungry Too
Today our communities have many people who are struggling to make ends meet. Yesterday I saw an elderly man arrested in front of Pet Smart for panhandling. Drop off a meal at the corner where you see people with their hands out.

10.  Give Someone A Blanket

Every town has homeless. They live in tents, on doorsteps of storefronts and even in retention pond sites. They need coats, blankets and food.

Giving from our heart's unselfishly is kind. Even if you have never been hungry a day in your life, you could imagine it, if you tried. When we give without judgment, we are sharing our bounty and making someone's day a little better. We all know people who have lost homes, cars, jobs, family and friends because of their present circumstances. The holidays can be an extremely difficult time for the homeless and the hungry. Not only will you help out someone who needs it, your heart will feel all the better for it. It is a WIN-WIN for everyone concerned.

Sharing what we have, even if it is small helps us to recognize we still have much to be grateful for. Gratitude helps us look up, instead of down. Gratitude takes us out of self pity and into our hearts where we can see more clearly. Giving allows us to return the wonderful blessings we have been given to those who don't have all that we have. When we are truly grateful for what we have, not just paying lip service because it is Thanksgiving for one day, we are all the better for it. Someone, somewhere has helped us. We have returned the favor. Giving back is what our life is all about.

The Love You Take Is Equal To The Love You MAKE

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

I grew up with the Beatles. I sang their songs, I watched them on television and I certainly bought their albums. I have my favorites, of course. The Long and Winding Road (McCartney) is one of my favorites. Let it Be, is certainly one of their greatest songs. Track eight, The End, on Abbey Road album is the one that has the famous quote from Paul McCartney, "The love you take is equal to the love you make."

There are many ways to look at this line from the song. It was intended to mean, what you give you get. In other words, as you love, so shall you be loved. When you give generously, love is given generously back to you. When we hold back and are inauthentic, or fake, we can't access the deepest part of our soul. It is in being completely open, and risking it all that we can have it all. Paul McCartney and Linda shared, a deep love. Paul refers to Linda as a loving wife. Of course that love continues even after death.

What About Me?

Can we have deep love and understanding with anyone? I believe so. The key is authenticity, honesty and trust. When we have this foundation, pheromones, attraction, connection opening up to allow the other person in all the way. When we open our hearts and become completely vulnerable with the other, we have the deepest connection. When we are afraid of being hurt, or are wounded, we hold back and don't receive this type of deep connection and subsequently, love.

How Can I Become Vulnerable?

Forgiveness of those who we feel have hurt us is key. When we are hanging onto old hurts and are still suffering we cannot allow another into our inner sanctum. When we turn ourselves inside out in order to please another, we are not being authentic. We are being codependent. Codependency is an addiction on a relationship. We are codependent when we place more importance on the relationship rather than ourselves and our own personal satisfaction with life. Addicted love is not healthy.

Trust

When we have made what we consider poor choices in the past, we don't trust ourselves. We feel insecure about ourselves and fear that we will repeat the same pattern all over again. Many people do. Even with much deep work, I did. Energy clearings (to clear repeating patterns) and having a coach to help keep you on track helps in a big way. As you have someone to bounce ideas off. You have someone who will support you in your growth process and guide you along the way. When you have a break through you will know it.  Trusting yourself is para mount to opening up completely. Until you do, you won't be able to trust anyone else either.

Living Life Fully Expressed

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Why would you want an orgasm for your life?

What if the greatest sex ever, was not you getting off, but giving to another instead. What if the greatest satisfaction you can feel is the joy of knowing your partner had an amazing time touching you, kissing you and being held by you. What if you could feel this good every day - even when you are not having sex? Buy The Book Now!

I used to be negative, a glass is half-empty kind of girl. I complained about my friends, parents and husbands (yes, plural I was a very slower learner). I used to dwell on what I didn't do, what I did do that wasn't good enough and long for the future, when I was sure to be happy. The weird thing is that when I stopped looking over my shoulder at the past, beating myself up for my stupidity and flakiness...... I began to live in the present. I began to enjoy life more. I didn't miss everything that was going on. I began to show up. Not only did I show up, I began to be ON TIME! This was a huge thing for someone with huge control issues.

Why We Control Others

Did you know the reason we control others is because we are afraid. We attempt to control our environment and other people, usually because we are afraid they will leave us. I have heard some men tell me that they will not tell their wife of 36 years that she is beautiful, because they are afraid she will go off and schtup some other guy. That is Yiddish for the horizontal mambo.  Can you imagine having such fear that a woman who has been married to you for 36 years, would leave you if you told her she was beautiful? This blows my mind. Men, tell your wife, lover, partner that she/he is beautiful! Women, tell your man, lover, partner that they are gorgeous. That they turn you on. That they smell good. We all want to be loved and accepted. Of course, we have to love and accept ourselves first. (Yes, I do digress, not really).

When we feel inept, or insecure, we tend to live in fear. We fear we aren't good enough. We fear our penis is too small, or won't work. (I don't but some do). We fear that we are too fat, our stomach is saggy, or we look old. We fear that our partner's won't accept us when we are at our worst. We fear that our partner won't love us when they find out who we truly are. (Some people's worst fear.)

When you are authentic - transparent and honest about who you are, you don't wonder what you have told to whom. You can relax. You can be yourself. Ahhhh! Inner peace and joy results. The joy of being authentically you. This is what I delight in helping my clients achieve. Did you know that the more you love yourself and accept yourself, the more easily you will have an orgasm - women?

Men, when you love yourself and accept yourself completely, you don't have to suck in your gut - although most women prefer men with a six pack..... we know we don't necessarily have the perfect models' body either. Loving and accepting ourselves means we are comfortable in our own skin. Being with your partner becomes an art form, moving together, in unison, in synch, where sex becomes a spiritual experience rather than just banging body parts together. This is what an orgasm for life is. Living life to the fullest, authentically as you are. Being true to yourself, grounded in the present, in joy for being fully alive.

An orgasm for your life, could mean that you are fully alive breathing in the gift of life and enjoying life for all that it has to offer. What a kick that is! I know. It is what I do! I love you guys. Thank you for buying my book. Thank you for reading my blog. Thank you for sharing my posts. This book needs to get out into the world. Share it with whoever you feel might be interested. Thank you.

You make it worth while.

What I learned from a homeless man

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Kindness is COMPASSION in Action.

Kindness is giving without thinking. It is the act of offering food or shelter to a homeless man or refuge to a teenager who's parents have thrown them away. Kindness means never expecting a return on investment. When you give from your heart without expecting you will be rewarded.

Being kind to others makes us feel good. Our hearts smile, our vibration is raised. Helping others is a natural tendency when we are in touch with what is in our heart. Random acts open our hearts to the beauty that is within our grasp in a flash and then its gone. Our opportunities to assist others are brief, but ever so meaningful. Today more than ever our neighbor's, teenagers and complete strangers need our help as they navigate the challenges of life, in a poor economy with lost jobs. Many are juggling multiple positions to hold onto what little they have. More teenagers are living on the streets today than in the last 100 years. It makes me wonder if we have progressed at all sometimes.

Parents are abandoning their responsibilities in lieu of new relationships or simply making personal decisions to abandon their family and old lives.   So many people feel the pinch of the world's economy. Now more than ever we need kindness for our self and others. Being kind to ourselves is often forgotten in the bedlam of life.

Kindness can be as simple as holding the door for someone to enter or exit ahead of ourselves. We perform acts of kindness without expectation. The more we open to giving selflessly, the more our hearts open and fill with love.

When you are awake and aware you notice people that are meaningful and strategically placed on your path. After a snowstorm in late November, 2011 I walked through a grocery store in Boulder, Colorado. I noticed a bundled up man standing talking to another in the Starbucks. He was tidy and clean looking. His aura was filled with light. I knew from past experience when someone has a golden halo around them that God was showing me he was someone I needed to pay attention to. As I completed my purchase and walked through the store, I was disappointed to find he was no longer in the coffee shop. As I walked to my car in the slush filled parking lot I was pleased to see him bending over his bicycle fastening a case of diet coke  onto the rear carrier.

He looked up and noticed me also. Kismet, synchronicity or Divine Intervention shows up when you are paying attention. I was so drawn to this man, he felt like a magnet. I  told him the diet coke would probably kill him, and smiled. That was all it took. In 5 minutes this man told me his life story that was so much like mine that it nearly knocked me over. He told me how he loved his father and was written out of his will, how his younger brother shot himself on their front porch after a serious battle with depression and low self esteem. He teared up when he spoke about his brother and what his mother had done to both of them. His mother molested both the boys, from the time they could remember, for years. Molestation by a mother is far more severe than any other. Our mother's are the nurturers and protectors. To have had that boundary crossed made both these boys snap.  Many of my clients have experienced molestation, it causes us to search for a deeper meaning in life.

Mount Sanitas Trail, Boulder, CO
I had never heard such a story as Mark's, it is so sad and dark I refrain from writing the details. I felt compassion and understanding for this man. He shared with me he had been homeless for almost 8 years. He knew the exact number of days, weeks and months on the street. He was clean and sober and smoked pot for solace. He gave up drinking because he knew it was killing him. He had devoted his life reading and studying and doing what God asked him to do. He talked about how he had given up his old lifestyle and about his storage unit in Texas filled with his paintings. He had learned the meaning of life and how to heal himself. He spent a great deal of time at the library, reading. I found that it was a place that the homeless hung out.

Mark being playful,  Ariel,  Klarissa Ryan,  Adam Gates, Boulder, Colorado December, 2011

I knew that this was not a chance meeting, they never are. Every person we come into contact with has a part to play in our lives. We often learn something from these experiences. I knew that I needed to be kind to him and offer him a respite from his life on the street. I was not afraid of him, and knew he would appreciate a warm apartment and a chance to be with a family. I asked if he would like to come with me to Home Depot to buy my family's Christmas tree. He was ecstatic at my offering of kindness. I did not even realize the depth of his gratitude till much later. I asked him to help me bring the Christmas tree to our house.
Marcus The Whale, Jennifer, Klarissa, Adam and Karma in front

He was like a little boy, excited, buoyed up at the prospect of helping me. We chose a tree together. His generosity overwhelmed me. I had never seen such a generous spirit with so little to give. There was a clown like boyishness to him and I never was in fear for my safety. I was intuitive and my guidance was invite him in.

I brought Mark home with me and he met my family. I gave him some hot coffee and he asked if he could clean up my kitchen for me. At first I hesitated. Adam looked at me with an expression that meant, "let him mom he wants to return the favor."

Mark giving back, cleaning the kitchen
Mark had visions and insight into The Universe that he shared. He told us stories of his experiences on the street and in the homeless shelters he had known. He had been homeless for 2,553 days when we met. We talked about prayer and the power of it. He was a very spiritual man. His vocabulary was large and he talked a lot. I felt he was terribly lonely and was so happy to have a warm place to be with kind people.

I learned that homeless people name themselves. They each have a moniker that they use. Rather than using a first name, some that I have heard are, "The Raven," "The Silver Hawk," and "High Planes Drifter." Mark called himself, "The Whale." He used this name because he felt he was so large. He was referring to his energy in the universe.

Our relationship with Mark, "Marcus The Whale" extended over years. We watched Mark's mind recede and fantasy take over. He had anger that came up when he talked about some of the police and government officials and what he had to endure living on the street. Other homeless people were "nutjobs" and "crazies" to him. Many were alcoholics and still drinking. Their minds had gone. Acceptance was the name of the game. We accepted him.

As far as cleanliness, there was no problem. One of the first things Mark asked was to use our shower and wash his clothes. He only had one change of clothes and two pairs of socks. He traveled light. He carried a new backpack that was orderly and neat. He was  obsessively compulsive when it came to cleanliness. It made life difficult to be on the road, or in a homeless shelter. It was far easier to not care about being clean, when you were homeless.

Mark asked permission to stop by in the afternoon when he was in the neighborhood. He had a schedule. Awake by 5:30 or 6:00 AM, Burger King for 57 cent senior coffee. I had no idea you could get coffee for so little till I met Mark. He visited often. Our home was a quiet respite for him from the craziness of the homeless world. When he visited, he always had some gift, usually food he paid for with his EBT card. Mark found out that Ariel liked Dr. Pepper, pizza and pop tarts. He would show up like Santa Claus with bags of goodies for her. He knew I didn't buy food I considered crap, so he indulged her. I found it amazing that a man who had so little would give us half of what he had. This is true kindness and giving from the heart.

My son is still in touch with Mark from time to time. It has been almost a year since we saw him since we are living in California. Adam is saddened to report that Mark's mind is more fantasy than reality. You cannot be soft and homeless. Living on the street takes your humanity away. It is a shame to hear a man who's life experience was so difficult that fitting into society became impossible.
