Love and Good Fortune For This Mercury Retrograde And Solar Eclipse

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Mercury began its third Retrograde journey August 30th at 9:04 AM EDT. This Mercury Retrograde is entirely in the sign of Virgo, Mercury's ruling planet giving it more bang for the buck! Mercury stations direct on September 22nd. Yes, the cruel cycle of Mercury Retrograde is occurring yet again!

"Expect the unexpected," says Cheney Hall, Astrologer.

Best Use Of A Mercury Retrograde?

  • reorganizing, recycling, regrouping, reuniting
  • reconciling, reusing, recreating, renewing, re-writing
  • reconsidering, reflect, reassess, rethink,
  • renegotiate, release, renew
  • re-polishing, releasing the old, letting go

Mercury rules intellect, communications, and travel. With this Mercury Retrograde occurring in the sign of Virgo, an exacting detailed energy, we could be getting a double-whammy this time around.

Typical issues during a Mercury Retrograde are delays, issues with travel, and challenges with communications. Many relationships reflect these challenges with strife, break-ups, and fighting. Misunderstandings can be the theme of the month if you are not careful about your communication. Remember that communication is a two-way street, those you communicate with as well as those who communicate with you may not get you. The planets Venus and Jupiter provide some added benefits this time around.

The most fortuitous planets, Venus, the planet of love and Jupiter sweetly straddle Mercury bringing great fortune and love to this three-week cycle.

Venus will help to soothe communication and bring romance to friendships. Jupiter associated with journeys will smooth out issues with travel that typically surface during a Mercury Retrograde turning the focus towards profit and away from business snafus.

A Mercury Retrograde is a time to avoid large purchases like cars, computers, kitchen appliances and cell phones. Even getting your hair cut during a Mercury Retrograde could be disastrous. The result is often not what we would like.

This month we are met with an intense spiritual cleansing, awakening and a great opportunity to manifest with a magical 9-9-9-9 portal. September is the ninth month, and the end of a nine-year cycle 2016 (2+1+6= 9). This last quarter of the year is a time of wrapping up, completing that project or book before the end of the year. Next year, 2017, begins a new nine-year cycle.

Thursday's Solar Eclipse acts like a Super New Moon, which is an ideal time for setting new intentions we wish to see blossom and come to fruition six months from now. Mercury slipping into Retrograde just two days before the Eclipse could cause you to second-guess what you begin the first two weeks of September. Virgo is both the position of the Eclipse and the Retrograde, change is inevitable.

Chaos and the Unforeseen

There could be some significant chaos during the entire month of September through the fall Equinox. Delaying major decisions until after both the Lunar Eclipse on September 16th and the new moon on October 1st when Mercury will be direct and is highly recommended.

This Mercury Retrograde Is Good For:

  1. It is a great time to re-connect to the rhythm of the earth.
  2. A time to release old and outdated beliefs.
  3. Reflecting upon our archetypes of Healer, Hermit High Preist, Priestess in Sacred Service
  4. Focused positive critical thinking till after September 18th as karma comes to fruition
  5. Release limiting beliefs and old stories
  6. Get your energy cleared
  7. Assimilate and integrate new connections, ideas, information, and possibilities
  8. Regulate daily disciplines and devotional practices
  9. Dedicate yourself to healthier energy efficient lifestyle
  10. Do away with mindlessness and distractions
  11. Give more in the way of selfless service
  12. Prioritize

During the new moon, manifesting is much more powerful. The mantra and yantra below will help you focus and perform your manifesting work.

Mantra and Yantra

A mandala is a geometric pattern which represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically. A mandala is a microcosm of the Universe from a human perspective. Yantras use mandalas as a symbolic representation of the cosmos, aspects of Divinity and the creative forces of the universe.
Yantras create new realities, pull in the power of the Masters who have used them for centuries as a focus for meditation. These visual patterns have a powerful effect on the mind, increasing coherence, creating a balance and calming effect. Yantras can relieve stress, quieting the restless mind.
Yantras are
Using a Yantra as a focus of your meditation is a powerful way to  center the mind, purify thought, clarify communication, refine intellect and allow ease and grace in your travels.
Mercury Yantra
Using the Yantra pictured to the left and the mantra below during the next three weeks will also open the throat chakra and assist you in clearing karma. Using the power of the planet Mercury in your chanting will focus your energy and attention on these areas powerfully. The recommended number of chants is 9,000 for the month focusing on Wednesdays and on September 9th.
How To Use The Yantra
Begin by focusing on the dot in the center. This center point is called a Bindu, which represents unity that ties us all together.
Now allow your eyes to see the inner triangle. This downward facing triangle represents the feminine. The upward facing triangle represents the masculine energy.
Chant The Following Mercury Mantra For Manifesting
"Om Aim Bum Budhaya Namah"
Expand your vision to encompass the circle outside of the triangle. This circle represents the cycles of cosmic rhythm. Circles are endless and have no beginning or end.
Now allow your eyes to take in the green lotus petals where the zodiac signs lie. These petals are pointing outwards, opening, unfolding of understanding once the heart fully flowers. The heart is the center of the self. When the heart fully opens understanding occurs.
Now focus on the outer square, this represents the material or world of form. The square shape gives the illusion of separateness, with well-defined edges and boundaries. The four T-shaped portals represent the passage from the external to the internal and sacred.

How To Get The Most Out Of This Crazy Time
  • Give more expect less
  • Disconnect from devices
  • Quiet your mind
  • Single-minded focus - less multi-tasking
  • Pray
  • Meditate
  • Connect to the earth
  • Give gratitude
  • Be compassionate with yourself and others
  • Pure thoughts - upward spiraling and positive versus negative
  • Love more, judge less
  • Be open to new possibilities
  • Be flexible
  • Forgive more, resent nothing

In the shadow of Mercury Retrograde, we said a loving farewell to Gene Wilder who made so many laugh with his light-hearted comedies such as Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, Silver Streak and The Producers. Farewell Gene, we love you and are grateful for the laughter you have left in our hearts.

12 Signs You May Be Depressed

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Everyone experiences sadness from time-to-time. Depression is very different than sadness as it is more severe, usually accompanied by low self-esteem, loss of interest in activities that would normally be enjoyable, low energy and pain for no reason. Depression is characterized by dark or low moods for more than two weeks. Depression affects home, family, work and social functioning.

Women experience depression twice as often as men.

Many of us experience depression and are unaware of why we feel so bad. I experienced chronic depression for over twenty years without being diagnosed. My mother pooh-poohed that I was depressed because I functioned, though not very effectively in my life. I was irritable, reactive and even aggressive with others. I lost interest in sex, had insomnia I "managed my insomnia" with two capsules of Benadryl a night. I lived life in a fog of fatigue, illness, aches pains and memory loss.

What Causes Depression

The medical profession admits to not knowing where depression begins. From my personal perspective, I found that depression is due to a combination of unbalanced hormones, lack of serotonin and repressed anger that we are unable to express at an early age.

Sexual molestation, rape and not being loved, validated or confirmed by our parents in positive ways also contributes to depression. Divorce, break-ups and feeling unloved and lonely can also add to our burden of pain and suffering. Our thoughts become increasingly negative which impacts our stress levels adding to the downward spiral of emotions.

We are left holding a bag of deep-seated repressed resentment and anger from being a "good girl" or "good boy" for our parents.

The stored emotions begin to bubble up when they are unprocessed. Our body will begin to show signs of struggle with illnesses like diabetes, cancer or arthritis. The longer that our trapped emotions stay in our body, the more profound the depression and physical body pain becomes. PTSD is another form of suppressed emotion with a side of depression.

What The Medical Profession Says

The cause of depression is a combination of genetic, environmental and psychological factors. Approximately 40% of the risk for depression is related to genetics. Other factors such as major life changes, chronic illness, certain medications and substance abuse.

Cognitive behavior therapy and interpersonal therapy can help. Medications seem to work better in cases where severe depression is present. Taking medications without doing some form of therapy, energy work or healing will not cure the depression.

Medication and Affects:

Medication for depression is not a cure all. Medication places a band-aid over the issues and further suppresses the original cause - emotions that have not been experienced and expressed.

I was given Prozac for my depression and fell asleep at the wheel driving to work repeatedly. When I drove three exits past where I worked, I called my doctor that day and said, "I'm done with Prozac!" He informed me it was dangerous to go off the drug cold turkey. My response was, "Not as dangerous as driving three exits past my work without knowing how I got there." I never took another prescription for depression or anxiety (except an occasional antibiotic).

I cured myself through cognitive therapy and energy healing which I now do for my clients.
Signs of Depression:
  1. feeling listless and hopelessness
  2. insomnia
  3. fatigue
  4. negative thinking that you can't stop
  5. irritability
  6. increased aggressive behavior
  7. memory and recall issues
  8. pain without a reason
  9. loss of interest in life, social activities
  10. hearing voices in your head that aren't yours
  11. you might even feel a little crazy (and how I hate the expression "cray cray!"
  12. clutter in your car, home, closets and office
Given the peak onset of depression is 25 to 44 years of age, hormones play a significant role in depression in women.

Different Types of Depression

Yes, there are different types of depression from Pre-menstrual, Post Partum Depression, Perimenopause, Menopause, Bi-Polar and Borderline Personality Disorder.

What Can You Do?

Cognitive Therapy has been shown to work at least as well if not better than anti-depressants as it treats the root cause, rather than providing a band-aid that masks symptoms. The work I do with clients uses Cognitive Therapy in combination with energy clearing to lift the root cause or pattern, shift low-self-esteem and support you in feeling better about yourself and your life. The combination has remedied those with severe depression as well as those with suicidal tendencies

Testimonial About A Suicidal Client Cured!
8.18.2016

Jennifer has been an incredible force in my life since the day that I met her. She has done several clearings for me in the past, I knew she was the real deal and my intuition screamed to me, that she was the perfect person to help when my sister began to struggle with severe depression to the point of becoming suicidal.

A month had gone by and my sibling was like a shell of her former self. She was not eating, barely sleeping, and had not been able to work at all. I was able to convince her that an energy clearing would be beneficial for her.

Jennifer had just returned home from travel right before I contacted her, but she dropped everything to help us within 10 minutes of my reaching out to her. Jennifer had a ton of insight into my sisters' personality and the origins of her struggle, yet half-way through my sister felt she couldn't continue with the clearing, and instead Jennifer continued with me on the phone. Because of this I was a bit skeptical as to whether it would work for her, but I kid you not. Four days later I contacted my sister and she was at Disney with her kid, about to "get some lunch" I couldn't even believe it worked that effectively and within such a short period of time.

Since the clearing, my sister has returned to work and although things are not perfect she has returned to her normal, spunky, intelligent, funny, wise, self.
I thank Jennifer tremendously. She has a true gift, a huge kind heart, and has been an enormous blessing to myself and my family. I would highly recommend her services to anyone and everyone. She's that good!

My Latest Discovery About Trees: California Coastal Roadtip

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

I am in love! I have always loved the beach, but this weekend on an impromptu road trip, I found that the ocean is fabulous for rejuvenating, recharging and grounding, but nothing beats a forest for filling and feeding your soul.

On Saturday morning, I woke up with a whisper in my head, "Morrow Bay!" I weighed the value of visiting a new place versus going back to my old favorite, Hendrey's Beach in Santa Barbara. New won. I mapped the fastest route for us, almost four hours versus two-and-a-half. Still, the whisper of Morrow Bay continued to ring in my ears.

I loaded up a change of clothes and booked a motel 6 in Morrow Bay, California for my dogs and me. It was far from a budget weekend, being so close to the ocean, but the destination was a perfect balance between San Louis Obispo and San Simeon and the Hearst Castle. There was plenty to see and do.

The drive through the desert town of Bakersfield and the wine country was uneventful, monotonous even, so different than driving through Valencia, Fillmore and Santa Paula towards SantaBarbara. I drove by dead almond trees, thousands of which had been cut waiting to be ground up for mulch. Eventually, we arrived in Paso Robles wine country with hundreds, of acres of vineyards. I doubled back to stop at an avocado ranch for some huge fresh-piked Haas avocados.

We arrived in Morrow Bay after almost four hours of driving. We drove around the bay and headed for a quiet dog-friendly beach. The temperatures on the coast were thirty degrees lower than at home in the Mojave Desert; the cool breeze was welcome.

On our way northward to Hearst Castle, we stopped for pie in the quaint, artsy town of Cambria, at Linn's. The home of the famous olallieberry pie. It was tasty, not too sweet, but the crust was lacking the crispy texture that I prefer. I give their pie a 3 out of 5
because of the crust. Kohnen's Bakery in Tehachapi has the best pie I have ever had from California to Colorado.

We drove northward to the Hearst Castle, arriving right at closing time -  5:00 PM. I wasn't up for the entire tour and didn't want to leave my dogs in the car for two hours anyway.

Only four miles further north on PCH 1 was a viewing spot for elephant seals. Both dogs were quite intrigued by the huge mammals sunning themselves on the beach. One huge bull tossed flipper after flipper full of sand over his blubbery body.

San Simeon coastline, California Route 1
Seeing these basking sea creatures in person is an incredible and exciting sight. We arrived shortly after 5:00 PM. The sun was beginning to set which meant we had gorgeous views of the coastline after our visit with the elephant seals. The timing couldn't have been more perfect if I had planned it, which I didn't.

After an afternoon at the beach, a bath and a coastline drive, the dogs and I were pooped. After watching the sunset magnificently, we packed it in around 8:00 and headed for our motel.

Sunday morning was a cool 56 degrees; I had to put on a pair of jeans. The light windbreaker I brought with me wasn't enough for the morning ocean air. We headed south about twenty-five minutes
arriving in San Louis Obispo after watching the sun rise over the mountains on our way down through the passes. On our way back to Morrow Bay we found ourselves at a virtually unknown campground Cerro Alto in San Louis Obispo County just twenty minutes from Morrow Bay.

Entering the floor of the canyon surrounded by mountains on either side, the tree canopy welcomed us. Early in the morning, quiet except for the chattering of Jays, nuthatches, and tapping of woodpeckers the birds were undisturbed by our presence flitting and chattering among the tall branches. A dark brown bunny darted into the thicket on the side of the road as we approached. I had never seen a rabbit so brown in the wild.

The sunlight streaming through the overhead canopy and heady fragrance of fresh earth, composted leaves, fresh greenery was soothing to my soul. Ferns, poison ivy, and wildflowers dotted the underbrush. Several trees were laden with Spanish moss that I hadn't seen since I left Georgia.

I had forgotten how much I loved being surrounded by trees. The beach takes second place to being surrounded by a rich green canopy of huge 50-foot trees. I didn't realize how much my soul missed trees. Living in the desert, I have to go to a park to be around trees; they are few and far between.

The blanket of green enveloping me lifted my spirits. Breathing in the quiet, unplugging from my cell phone, computer and clients was exactly what my soul needed. No one to talk to. No one's problems to hear. Just me and the forest. My love affair is with the earth, one that forever supports me in my health, fulfillment, and connection. The twisted tree limbs overhead were magnificent and powerful. I get high being in nature naturally

The undergrowth and poison ivy tinged with pink and red, berries on the ends of limbs laden with food for the birds to overwinter. A muffled snort in the gully below us surprised both dogs. Their ears pricked up, as they stood stock still. I listened again for the rustling of leaves of branches breaking. A large buck snorted again and walked slowly into the thicket.

Mountain lions frequent the high mountains but visit campgrounds on occasion. We have to stay alert walking in nature, as it is the home of so many wild creatures. Part of the excitement of being in nature is that you never know what you will see or hear. Being awake and alert focused on the moment deepens your experience.

I lay on a grassy hillside among golden stalks ready to drop their seeds for next year. The dark green leaves overhead in the clear blue sky created a beautiful contrast as the Jays chattered and flitted from one tree to the next. Four woodpeckers flew over me, and I closed my eyes breathing deeply. My lungs expanded in the cool fresh air. I felt so grateful.

I love the beach. Trees bring a fulfillment that the beach cannot. We need a balance of both, water and wood to feed our soul. On this weekend I had the magic of both, and I am so grateful for all that I experienced. I returned home ready to be fully present and compassionate for my clients because I took care of my soul.

You Are Beautiful No Matter How You Look

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Beauty is at the core of our being. The more beautiful we feel, the more beautiful we look. Examine a tree in the springtime. A blooming tree knows it is beautiful innately. It doesn't try or attempt to be something it's not to be more beautiful.

You are beautiful  - a bloom of love at your core.

It's time we felt the beauty that is already ours without a rule book to follow or opinion of another to "know" that we are beautiful. Beauty is a radiance that comes from self-acceptance and diving deep into authenticity and personal power. The more beautiful you feel the more you radiate love and beauty to the world.

The more loving and accepting of yourself, the more beauty you see in others.

You need to love your body too!
Beauty comes from within. Your soul essence has a natural beauty. It has nothing to do with how large your booty or breasts are, or how small your frame is. Beauty is at the center of each molecule and every atom that is you.

Many people searching for love are resistant to love and are not aware of it. We reject a heartfelt compliment by saying, "Oh, this old thing?" Or "I don't know how you could say such a thing about me!"

We often have behaviors that reject love and compliments. We might want love, but when it shows up we send love packing! The exact opposite of what we desire. Old patterns come from fear of intimacy or being hurt, wounded or rejected in the past.

We can't truly love another until we fill ourselves up with love. Try the following on a daily basis. When someone gives you a compliment, accept it gracefully by saying, a heartfelt, "Thank you." Most people that don't feel loving toward themselves will put down a compliment. We might even push love away

Try these new behaviors daily and see how differently that you feel about yourself and others.

  1. Affirm your beauty in front of your mirror, "You are beautiful!"
  2. Give compliments to others, "Wow, you are so beautiful!" You have no idea what a small statement can do for another person. Giving compliments to others also is something that will make you feel good as well.
  3. Notice the beauty around you. There is beauty in simplicity, in plants, trees, in the face of a stranger, a newborn, an infant in a shopping cart. The more you begin to notice the beauty that surrounds you the better you will feel.

How To Love Yourself Fearlessly Everyday

When you notice the beauty in others, it is a reflection of the beauty within you. You are beautiful. You are loved. You are so worthy. Give to yourself and then give to others. See the joy on another's face when they hear those three simple words, "you are beautiful."

Jennifer is a love and passion coach and energy healer. She empowers women to love themselves fearlessly so that they show up in their relationships with their love tank full, in love with themselves with plenty to give to another.

If you keep repeating patterns or aren't happy with yourself, life or relationships set up your free discovery session to see how life could be with your love tank full happy with you! Find Jennifer's books on Amazon.com or set up your free discovery session with Jennifer here.

8 Easy Ways For Men To Combat Low Testosterone By Blocking Estrogen

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Testosterone levels in American men are at an all time low. Symptoms of low testosterone are low energy, a decrease in stamina, hair loss and difficulty losing weight. Low "T" is common in men as they age, but is happening early in the last ten years. What many men are unaware of is that high levels of estrogen are usually found when men have "LOW T."

Having strong erections allows a man to feel virile, youthful and maintain a sexually active life well into his golden years. Testosterone is the hormone that causes facial hair, voice to deepen and develop genitalia.

Estrogen is the hormone that causes women to grow breasts, menstruate and have feminine qualities.

High estrogen levels in men comes from high aromatase activity. Aromatase is the enzyme that converts testosterone to estrogen. Aromatase is highly concentrated in that fat bulge around your middle. Aromatase activity increases due to age, stress, weight gain, and inflammation. Chronic high levels of estrogen have been linked to cancer,  Type II Diabetes, obesity, hypertension and cardiovascular health.

Block Estrogen With These Foods

A high plant-based diet can reduce estrogen levels in the body. Plants are loaded with phytochemicals which work to block estrogen in the body.

1. Cruciferous Vegetables. A diet rich in cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, rutabaga, turnips, bok choy, kale, and Brussel sprouts will block estrogen from being formed. These vegetables can be cooked some different ways, including roasted, steamed, sauteed or baked. I love to eat all of these vegetables raw for greater nutrient value.

2. Mushrooms. Shitake, Reishi, button, crimini are all mushrooms that can be eaten raw in salads or sauteed with your rice. Mushrooms block estrogen production and are also a way to boost your immune system. The Chinese have been using mushrooms to heal the body for thousands of years. Cordyceps, Shitake, Turkey Tail and Himematsutake are a blend of powerful mushrooms that increase in value when taken together. There are mushroom compounds in your nutritional supplement store.

3. Green Tea. Green tea has a multitude of benefits from helping you reduce weight, prevent (breast, lung, esophageal, skin, colon and bladder, cancer. Green tea is loaded with catechins more powerful than vitamins, phytochemicals, and antioxidants at the same time. Harvard Health Publications touts the additional benefits of green tea to assist with Rheumatoid Arthritis, reduce bad cholesterol, (LDL) while increasing the good kind (HDL), reduces your risk of cardiovascular disease, by improving arterial function.

Green tea is refreshing hot or cold. Instead of adding sugar if you must use raw local honey.

15 Reasons Women Stop Having Sex

4. Seeds. Flax and sesame seeds contain polyphenols that reduce estrogen in the bloodstream. Flax seeds contain the highest levels of polyphenols and linolenic acid an essential fatty acid, according to Oregon State University. Polyphenols are found in plants. Sunflower seeds are another source of polyphenols.

5. Whole Grains. Whole grains contain the endosperm, bran, and germ which are necessary for a healthy diet. Whole grains aren't broken down like white bread. If you are still eating white bread, rolls or donuts, stop right now. White grains are unhealthy for so many reasons. Sources of whole grains are:

  • wheat
  • oats
  • corn
  • millet
  • rye
  • barley

6. Red Grapes. Red grapes are excellent for the blood, and blocking estrogen. Red grapes contain two chemicals that are loaded with health benefits, reservatrol, and proanthocyanidin.

21 Ways To Prevent Erectile Dysfunction

 7. Pomegranates. Pomegranates are high in phytochemicals. Deep rich, red juice and seeds block estrogen, purify the blood and strengthen the cardiovascular system.

8. Talk To Your Doctor. Men hesitate to see a medical professional often waiting till their testosterone is dangerously low. Get your blood checked regularly for hormone levels and ask about alternative methods rather than a testosterone shot for the quick fix and potentially dangerous side-effects.

What Happens When Our Bodies Die?

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Orbs a sign of life after death  cemetery

From the time I was a little girl, I had a fascination with death. My grandmother first, then my grandfather. My father's passing gave me tremendous insight into what it means to have everlasting life. Death isn't final. Death is of the body but not of the spirit. If you have ever seen an orb, you have witnessed a spirit from the other side.

This September 22nd, it will be 27 years since my father died of leukemia. I remember my oldest brother, Tim asking him to give us a sign he was okay when he arrived safely on the other side. We all sat at my mother's kitchen table after my father's funeral, my aunt Doris and uncle Bill serving us all tea, taking care of us. All of a sudden without any storm or reason the lights went out. Tim immediately said, "Hi Dad! We're so glad you are okay!" We all looked at each other remarking that we all knew it was Dad stopping by to say hello and let us know he was fine.

The messages I have had from spirits over the years have been, "More than fine! Happy and at peace!" They watch over us back here. We don't need to worry about those who have crossed to the other side. They are happy, comfortable and doing great. They are out of pain, misery and finished with suffering.

How Do You Recognize A Familiar Spirit?

My father felt the same in spirit form. If you close your eyes when you are sitting beside someone, there is an essence we sense their presence. That same essence remains always, it is their spirit. I always feel my father when he shows up to check on me. I could be talking about him, or thinking about something he taught me, and instantly I feel his presence.

In the early days, immediately following my father's death he would sit with me in my garden. He was an avid gardener, so it made sense that spending time in my garden was pleasant to him. He taught all of us about gardening. I went on to become a Georgia Master Gardener and then a landscape designer and ran a successful landscape business in Atlanta, Georgia for eleven years. One of my brothers became a farmer. Each one of us learned alongside my Dad.

Spirits Show Up In The Weirdest Places

Recently, I was at a local grocery store buying cat food. The woman behind me at the checkout was buying gladiolas, my father's favorite flower. I noticed the flowers on the conveyor belt and thought to myself, "Dad's favorite flowers." I took my purchases and began to leave the store.

The cashier called me back because she had charged me for the flowers for her next customer. Strange? I joked about how generous it was for me to buy her $35.00 in flowers.

I was supposed to talk to them about death. I shared my story about my father turning out the lights and tears came to both of their eyes. My story about life after death touched both women in profound ways, I couldn't completely understand at first glimpse. They had both lost someone close recently. My sharing gave them peace. I thanked the woman who bought the gladiolas, as it brought my father close to me in an instant.

Rich Resuta and Ariel, January 2012
After Rich Resuta, (my ex-husband and daughter's father) died on July 4th, 2012, he visited me on my drive back from North Dakota while I was picking up his truck and belongings. He had been working in the oil fields when his building company went bust. I was playing music on my iPhone, which began to crackle. I had to turn the radio on and found a clear station playing music from 1996, the year our daughter was born.

The first song that I heard was "Stupid Girl" from Hole, not my favorite band, but a significant message from Rich to me. He thought I was stupid for divorcing him. He never stopped loving me and was very angry I divorced him. A series of songs played that Rich cherry picked just for me that I would recognize as messages to me.

We don't realize how powerful spirits can be at sending us messages. In previous blogs I have written about how my deceased ex-husband would communicate with me. Rich would throw bread and bagels off the shelves in the Walmart bread aisle when he was trying to get my attention. To this day, he shows up in my office and knocks on the closet door to say, "Hello, I am thinking about you. I still love you." Sometimes he makes suggestions about action to take with Ariel, our daughter.

Feeling Their Presence

Spirits communicate mentally with us. We hear their voice in our head. We can feel their presence next to us. Our hair might stand up on the back of our neck. There is nothing to fear when a loved one
Diana Davis
visits. They love you. They always will. When love was present, it is always present. Death doesn't end love. Send love back. Talk to your loved one. Call on them by name when you need help with something here on earth. They are glad to do so.

Spirits Are Alive Not Dead

Three spirits communicated to me after their death, Rich Resuta, Diana David and JoAnne Butler, each of them saying exactly the same thing; "I am not dead!" Spirits are living, just not in a physical body. Every time I mentioned them and said they were dead, they would emphatically remind me, "I am not dead!"

John Armbruster is another who communicated with me regularly after he transitioned. The night he died he became the wind surrounding my home. My son David noticed the wind immediately when we drove in the driveway. He remarked to me, "John's here!" John sent me Great Blue Herons regularly for a year after his death, communicating me in this way to say he was thinking of me and still watched over me. You might have read my articles about My Twin Flame, in reference to John. He was a powerful Shaman and pipe carrier.

Communicating With Loved Ones

When people die they are spirits. They are in spirit form and feel emotions, sadness, compassion, and love. They don't feel physical pain, hunger or sexual urges. There is no sex in heaven! They don't
eat, they can turn on lights, turn off lights, play music where there was none, can send you messages through your radio, cell phone, and even the television.

If you think of them out of the blue, they are probably visiting with you. Sometimes they come in for a quick visit just to feel you and off they go to do their work.

They Have Jobs

Spirits have jobs. They don't get paid monetarily for the work they do, but they can move up the ladder of evolution by their works. They assist people crossing over, they assist at accidents, they help people who are mourning. They continue to grow and evolve by their experiences in spirit form. They don't remain static or stagnant.

There are levels of evolution in the spirit world. If you didn't learn your lessons on earth, you get to do it again and again until you do.

John 5:24 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Spirits Aren't Angels

Angels are angels and have always been angels. Angels are not in human form. They don't magically become angels. They are spirits. This is what is meant by "life everlasting," in the Bible. Spirits live on, they have the ability to reincarnate into a physical body after death returning time and time again to evolve, grow and learn.

Spirits Stuck On Earth

Some spirits are afraid to go down the tunnel of light for different reasons. They may want revenge, they might feel they didn't finish their business on earth. There is a two-week period where spirits get to visit with family, friends and loved ones and then have to exit stage right. If they don't leave, the portal closes and they are stuck here.

Just as some people are good, there are evil spirits as well. For more information, you can read this blog about attachments and soul fragmentation.

Opening Portals To Help Spirits Leave

I have opened portals to help spirits leave and go to the light. In fact, I have done so for large groups of spirits on some sacred land where an entire tribe was left.

21 Ways To Stay Healthy Allowing Food To Be Your Medicine

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Food can be your medicine or poison depending on the quality and quantity of the food you choose. Eating smaller portions, eliminating sugary and fried foods with a focus on high-quality fresh vegetables and fruits, with lots of fiber will give you positive results and increased health. Self-care includes a healthy diet and regular exercise.

Eating fast food will cause depression, with little food value. Scientists have found that fast food leaves you feeling hungry and undernourished. I avoid it like the plague. Eating a diet with fresh fruits and vegetables will raise your vibration and help you feel better-balanced emotionally, not to mention giving you nutritional value. Did you know that fast food is linked to erectile dysfunction?

There are hidden dangers to eating processed and fast foods. A chemical that keeps fast-food bread longer called semicarbazide is a known carcinogen (causes cancer). Wendy's, Arby's, MacDonald's Burger King and Subway (until recently) use this agent.

Years ago I read that we need to keep our weight gain at no more than 10% above where we were at graduation because obesity is linked to 8 different cancers. I have reduced my portions of meat and cut out desert.

1. Smaller portions. Reducing portion size will help you reduce weight and feel better faster than anything. A recent study reports that increased calorie intake has caused the obesity we see today. My feeling it is a combination of both too much food that is low in nutrition coupled with a sedentary lifestyle.

For me, my graduation weight was 125. I now weigh 132. Keeping my weight steady has been my goal rather than trying to look like a super-model. The protocol I use to stay healthy and fit is what I share with you in this article along with the reasons why I do what I do.

2. Add fiber. 95% of Americans and most Europeans don't get enough fiber in their diet. Women need 25 grams of fiber daily compared to 38 grams for men. Adding more fruits and vegetables rather than white processed bread will boost your immune system and help you reduce weight.

3. Add vegetables to your omelets, beans, peas, dried fruit apples, and Asian pears to increase fiber intake.

Increasing fiber can be done by taking three capsules of glucomannan (soluble fiber from the konjac root)  thirty minutes before meals. Dr. Oz recommended Glucomannan for weight loss, is inexpensive (9.99 at The Vitamin Shoppe) and doesn't have any side-effects like diet pills. The fiber does amazing things for your digestive system and reduces hunger causing you to consume less and therefore losing weight as well.

4. Avoid wheat and wheat products. Have you noticed that almost everyone has a belly these days? Why? It is what is happening to our grains and increased portions. Wheat isn't what it used to be. Some say it's gluten; others say because of Round-up. You can make up your mind. I have offered both versions here.

Don't take my word for it, read these additional articles about what's wrong with our wheat and Normal Borlaug who modified wheat way back and received a Nobel Peace prize for it.

The bottom line for me is I don't consume wheat - nada, zilch, zero! My sense is that wheat and soy are modified for higher yield, due to Round-up. I avoid soy and wheat like the plague!

5. Avoid soy and all GMO foods.

This subject brought up all kinds of a kerfuffle. The first transgenic wheat was modified in the 1980's and completed in 1992. Though wheat was also modified in the 1970's by Norman Borlaug. One of my readers argued with me about wheat not being modified in any way. He felt it was scary. Scary or not, wheat isn't the same as it was sixty years ago. Whether you call it genetically modified, transgender or transfixed, people aren't able to eat wheat the way they used to without side effects from it.

Today, all wheat is genetically modified, unless you buy bread products where it is clearly stated; "made from non-GMO wheat." Wheat is sprayed with Roundup before harvest to kill weeds and make the wheat yield higher. The grain releases their seeds as they die, creating a higher yield.

This pre-harvesting spray of Monsanto's Round-up is acceptable legally, where lentils, peas, hops for beer is not. The reason people are experiencing higher issues with celiac disease and intolerance to wheat is not the gluten it is the Round-up. For this reason, I do not consume grains except organic oats. On rare occasions, I eat Ezekiel bread. I recommend that you read the book, The Wheat Belly, by cardiologist Dr. William Davis. According to Dr. Davis, the changes made to wheat have created a carbohydrate-rich grain which has a highly addictive quality to it that is similar to that of opiates. Avoid wheat!

6. Start Your Day With Lemon Water

Squeeze half a lemon into a 16-ounce glass of room temperature water and drink it all at once, when you wake up. The lemon water flushes fat from your system and detoxes. Lemon inside the body is alkaline, not acidic. It alkalizes the body keeping your immune system healthy. The benefits are many:

  1. helps with elimination and relieves constipation
  2. freshens breath
  3. alkalizes the body creating a healthy environment
  4. stops and prevents UTI's (bladder infections)
    1. cleanses the liver - the liver loves lemon juice it's loaded with enzymes
  5. reduces phlegm
  6. Vitamin C helps brain function keeps you more alert
  7. pumps up your immune system
  8. hydrates
  9. great for skin helps the body produce collagen - reduces wrinkles

7. Get Your Veggies In A Green Drink

FULL of goodness, high fiber and good for the blood
Can't get enough vegetables in during the day. Start your day off with a green drink and watch your tummy go down! My favorite green smoothie loaded with antioxidants greens, fruits, and veggies. Chia seeds add protein and fiber. I often add a slice of beet to my green drink.

How I Lost Belly Fat And Inches Without Changing My Diet

chia, spinach, celery, apple, parsley, lemon

1 TBSP chia seeds
1/2 apple
1 stalk of celery
2 handfuls of spinach
3 stems and leaves of parsley either Italian or regular
juice of 1/2 lemon
Himalayan salt - adds 40 trace minerals
1/2 cup blueberries, strawberries or blackberries for antioxidants
coconut water (unsweetened)
honey optional
1/2 tomato
1/2 an avocado

1 inch of chopped fresh ginger

8. Drinking 1 green drink a day can give you more veggies in one serving than you eat in an entire day.

Blend well and drink within fifteen minutes to receive the highest benefit of vitamins and minerals. I don't add ice, as cold drinks shock the system and reduce immune function.

Fruit Smoothie

9. Consume berries for antioxidants. You prefer just fruit in the morning? Though not quite as beneficial as a green drink, a fruit smoothie is something I drink for variety. Here is my favorite recipe. I freeze strawberries from my trips to Santa Barbara where the berries come in fresh picked daily. I put them in plastic bags and use the frozen berries in my smoothie. No ice is added.

3 heaping TBSP full fat organic plain yogurt or plain Kefir
6 - 8 strawberries
1 banana
1/2 cup blueberries, and/or blackberries
1 TBSP or less of raw local honey to taste

10. Oatmeal Pancakes - naturally fiber-rich and sugar-free!

2 whole eggs - eggs are good for you
2 bananas mashed
1/2 cup of chopped (slightly) walnuts
Himalayan salt to taste

1 TBSP chia seeds (optional)
blackberries handful or more
1/2 tsp or more nutmeg
1/2 tsp or more cinnamon

These oatmeal pancakes lower cholesterol with oatmeal, give you potassium and lots of protein from eggs and oatmeal.

I eat my pancakes without syrup. If you must, use real maple syrup, not the artificial crap! Artificial syrup like Log Cabin syrup uses high fructose which the body can't digest. High fructose is in soda and packages juices. High fructose will make you hungry and leads to fatty liver

11. Saute´ in coconut oil.  Coconut oil was fed to pigs and was found to cause pigs to lose weight. Coconut oil has many benefits including being anti-inflammatory and a good fat to include in your diet.

Lunch

12. Include raw food daily.
Eating a daily salad and fresh fruit introduces food that hasn't been cooked which increases your intake

 of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Use a combination of spinach romaine, escarole, arugula and other nutrient-rich greens.

I don't use iceberg lettuce as it has very little food value or vitamins.  Romaine wins hands down over iceberg lettuce every time. Add walnuts, sunflower seeds or almonds and hard boiled eggs for protein. I prefer walnuts as almonds create estrogen in the body. I don't use soybeans at all for the same reason I avoid almonds - estrogen. For men, do you want manboobs? Avoid soy.

Eggs Are Good For YOU!

13. Eat the entire egg!
There have been many smear campaigns to get people to stop eating coconut, avocado, and eggs. I never listen to what the media and even the government touts is good for me. I trust my own guidance. I recommend you learn to trust your intuition and guidance as well.

Remember when they told us margarine was better for us than butter. What a bunch of whooey! I never believed it.

Eggs are one of those incredible whole foods that contain vitamins, minerals, and proteins. Eggs do not cause heart disease, stroke or raise cholesterol in otherwise healthy people.

A chicken doesn't die laying an egg. Egg laying is natural for a chicken. I don't understand why Vegans are such egg haters. It never made sense to me. Each to his own. I eat eggs and I always will. In fact, when I was healing breast cancer, eggs were one of the foods I ate every day!

Eating egg whites only, for health reasons is ridiculous. Eggs raise the good cholesterol, HDL. 7 Secrets Why You Should Eat Eggs.

Dinner

14. Add a dinner salad with avocado to reduce caloric intake. Eating avocado will help satisfy your hunger as it has a rich buttery taste and mouth feel. You will eat less once your fat craving is satisfied.

I always eat my salad first as it helps with weight control and helps to curb your appetite for the meal. You eat far less when the salad is consumed first. I heard years ago that salad needs to be consumed
spinach cooked lightly
before the meal as it digests faster. It also adds enzymes to the stomach helping food digest more easily.

15. Reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, and obesity by eating 4 ounces of meat at one meal. Most of us eat too much meat. Women need 46 grams while men require 56 a day.

Four ounces is enough protein if you eat lots of vegetables. Potatoes are a source of protein containing 4.3 grams, as are many of our veggies.

I eat grass fed beef once a month or less. I eat lamb on occasion, to warm the body and chicken no more than three times a week. Most of us eat far too much chicken, turkey is actually a better protein source will fewer chemicals. Some of our chicken is being processed in China. Tyson, Sanderson Farms, and MacDonalds say they have no plans to process their chicken in China. We shall see down the road.

What's For A Snack?

16. Add nuts for more Omega 3s, fatty acids, protein and antioxidants. Nuts are good to snack on, in moderation. Walnuts are the best nut for the heart. Almonds, pistachios, and cashews have the lowest calorie content. Macadamias and pecans are the worst for calorie content (but delicious). Read more here about nuts from Huffington Post.

What's For Dinner?

17. Eat a balanced diet of vegetables, both raw and cooked with a small portion of meat. Vegetables have protein in them too! Potatoes being the highest. For those who are vegetarians be sure to get a complete protein.

Salad with nuts or sunflower seeds, homemade dressing of olive oil and lime juice
4 ounces of home cooked turkey, lamb or chicken (no pork products)
1 of boiled or baked potato or (baked sweet potato with coconut oil and cinnamon
2 or more of: broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, beets, Brussel sprouts, asparagus, artichokes, eggplant,  or carrots
asparagus will clean out your urethra for better elimination and sex

18. Add variety to get all your nutrients. Variety is the spice of life. Vary your diet so that you get everything your body needs. I stopped taking multivitamins years ago when I found it did nothing for me energetically. Hard pills are difficult for the body to digest and end up being flushed away into our septic systems and local sewers.

What Do I Cook With?

olive oil
grass fed butter
Himalayan salt
coconut oil
cinnamon
turmeric helps with inflammation
allspice
allspice
nutmeg
natural raw honey (small portion)

The Myth About Fats

Did you know your brain is made of 60% fat? Did you know you need good fats in your diet?

19. Eat healthy fats. Avocados, coconut oil and olive oil are good fats. Butter is a good fat used in moderation. Saturated and trans fats are solid at room temperature. Remember seeing bacon fat in your cold frying pan?

20. Eat potatoes. Potatoes are good complex carbohydrate. The body and brain need both fats and complex carbohydrates, like sweet potatoes to function at their peak.

21. Stay Healthy By Avoiding

  • fried foods
  • ice water or ice in any drinks
  • high fructose
  • fast foods
  • pasta
  • tomato sauce pre-made
  • prepared or packaged foods of any kind
  • canola, soy, peanut or vegetable oil
  • soy products
  • pork products
  • peanut butter
  • sugar
  • sugar substitutes including agave
  • packaged cereal
  • microwaved foods - microwave kills food value
  • microwaved popcorn
  • cake
  • soda of all kinds
  • white salt
  • alcohol   - (maybe one drink a year)
  • cheese
  • pizza - contains wheat, cheese and prepared sauce
What Supplements Do I Take?

I used to take all kinds of supplements thinking they helped me. I muscle test myself before buying anything additional. I wasted thousands of dollars on vitamins. My diet is where I receive my nutrition from so I stopped taking anything other than the following:

digestive enzymes
pro-biotic for intestinal and vaginal health refrigerated
calcium magnesium at night (3 capsules)
glucomannan for added fiber

I do on occasion like pie or ice cream. I limit sugary foods to very rare occasions. I celebrate when I eat sugary foods rather than beat myself up. I used to eat it ice cream frequently but stopped when my ex-husband died. It was his favorite thing to do - sit down and eat a huge bowl of ice cream. He died at 52. He was lean and fit. Sugar more than fat eats away at our arterial walls causing damage to our cardiovascular system.

The energy that we eat our foods can raise or lower the vibration of the food we consume.

Why I Cut Out Sweets

Every time we eat anything that has sugar our immune system takes a hit. It takes eight hours for our immune system to recover from any type of sugar. Most people avoid potatoes but will eat a plate of cookies. Potatoes aren't harmful, but sugar most definitely is!

Sugar has been proven to cause cancer, yet Americans are consuming soda, cake, ice cream daily. Wonder why cancer is on the rise? Look at your diet. I have had five pounds of sugar in my cabinet for over four years, yet most Americans consume over 156 pounds of sugar a year! Sugar is in everything processed from bread to crackers to hamburger helper. Following is a video I made several years ago.
