How To Communicate In Loving Ways

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Humans are sensitive emotional beings. As we evolve our emotional reactivity begins to diminish. When we are upset our resolve to be level headed flies out the window along with our intelligence. How can we communicate through the challenges that relationships bring our way without thrashing each other in the process?

Arguments are not an indication of relationship failure. It is the way we argue that creates the resultant demise.

Through my life, I have had plenty of experience in relationships. What I have found is that what our parent's modeled for us as love usually wasn't loving. Certainly, in my case, there has been much un-learning and unraveling of what works and what doesn't in relationships.

My parents didn't speak to each other for weeks when they were upset. As children, we were caught in the middle of missiles, landmines, and volatile rage. Their style of communication was destructive, damaging and negative. We need to learn a new style that lifts each other up, rather than destroys self-esteem. If we can't communicate when we are angry and upset without giving each other the silent treatment while we process, we might continue to operate in our parent's footsteps of volatility, defensiveness and contempt.

Unlearning old behaviors takes time, patience and practice. We didn't create these deep patterns overnight. As children, we were
little sponges who soaked up everything our parents did, said and felt. We mimicked them because that is what we are programmed to do. Children learn by watching other's behavior and replicating it.

If our parents were negative and accusatory with one another, we mimic their style. Beginning a conversation with harsh accusatory criticism can cause the other to react in a tailspin of emotions, Once contempt enters a relationship we are doomed to failure. Divorce is a certainty.

Arguments happen in the best of relationships. Conflict will arise. We can't avoid these issues. Not being able to talk rationally to our partners about issues with emotional intelligence leads to divorce and break-ups with a certainty.

John Gottman, a relationship expert in Seattle has researched and written more than twenty books and researched couples while arguing in his Love Lab. His work is remarkable and enlightening. His best work is The Seven Principles For Making Marriage Work.  Gottman began researching couples in 1972. He has researched thousands of couples in seven different studies while arguing to see what works and what doesn't.

He is able to predict whether a marriage will succeed or fail from the way that couples argue, and their repair statements at the end of an argument. Gottman's focus is on success rather than the failure of a relationship.

Gottman's research is clear. When we argue in certain ways, our relationship is doomed to failure.

Success Is Possible
Relationships that have deep friendships have the greatest success. When couples know each other and continue to be updated and interested, remembering what is said and important to one another gives a relationship the strong foundation needed to weather the storms that arise naturally.

What We Need To Do Differently For Relationship Success

  • deepen our friendship by supporting each other's goals and dreams
  • learn and remember our partners' likes, dislikes
  • continue to have an interest in dreams, wishes and desires
  • avoid accusatory statements
  • avoid sarcasm and criticism
  • avoid beginning arguments with a harsh startup - criticism
  • when criticism is pervasive it leads to contempt
  • avoid contempt (sneering, cynicism, sarcasm, eyerolling, mockery, and hostile humor)
  • avoid defensiveness - it doesn't help your argument
  • don't tune out your partner - "Stonewalling" often a trait of older marriages
  • avoid flooding your partner with a vitriol of criticism - often accompanied by hostility (physically distressing, blood pressure mounts, heart rate increases, body goes into overdrive)
"Recurrent episodes of flooding leads to divorce for two reasons," says Gottman. "First, they signal that at least one partner feels severe emotional distress when dealing with the other. Second, the physical sensations of feeling flooded - the increased heart rate, sweating, and so on ~ make it virtually impossible to have a productive, problem-solving discussion. When you body goes into overdrive during and argument, it is responding to a very primitive alarm system we inherited from our prehistoric ancestors. All those distressful reactions, like a pounding heart and sweating, occur because on a fundamental level your body perceives your current situation as dangerous."

Repair Attempts

Repair attempts can be as simple as "Stop yelling at me." or "Stick with the topic." These repair attempts can diffuse a situation. A grin, a goofy face can all be repair attempts. A repair attempt stops an argument from steamrolling out of control.

It is the quality of the friendship between a couple that determines the ability to repair an argument and a positive spin on our past.

Positive Spin On The Past

How we spin our old story determines how successfully we navigate our present. If we continually bring up the negative about the past, everything in our current situation has a negative quality to it. If we have created positive feelings about the past history, recognizing was the catalyst for your growth and evolution, and got you to the place you are in now, you have a positive sentiment override.

Every relationship can be repaired. A commitment to renew, recover and repair are what is needed. It isn't conflict resolution that is needed. We need to learn constructive ways of arguing, know each other well and be friends as well as lovers.
Divorce is stressful for everyone. Regret over divorce occurs more often than people admit. If I knew now what I didn't know then, I would have stayed with husband number one. We jump from relationship to relationship because we don't know how to navigate it alone. Having a guide to help you is required, rather than traditional therapy that ends more marriages than it saves. (Just 35% get clinically significant improvements).

I am currently wrapping up a powerful six-week program for women who have continued to attract emotionally unavailable men, or people who won't or can't commit. Last night we began discussing communication and how we can improve our delivery. I am offering two programs beginning in January, one for men and a second for just women. Both sexes have their individual issues with communication. From Tainted To True Love shifts our perspective and patterns so that we easily attract a loving, committed relationship. This workshop is a life-changing and powerful event.

A clarity building exercise to help you discover what you want and don't want precedes a powerful manifestation event.

I'm An Ordinary Human

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Can you imagine what life would be like without love? No love for a newborn baby, no pets that love us, no partner's love for us? Can you imagine what you would feel like if you could not feel emotion?

Is it worth giving up the experience of beauty and joy and love in order to end pain and suffering? The Giver

The Giver

Last night I watched a movie with Meryl Street, Brendon Thwaites, Jeff Bridges, Katie Holmes, Alexander Skarsgard, Odeya Rush, Cameron Monaghan and Taylor Swift. From great suffering, they formed communities as a solution. Disorder became harmony. With a daily dose of medication each person's emotions are kept at bay. They have no feelings of anything other than contentment. Their morning injections take their emotions away.

How many people in our world take medications to reduce emotional pain and feeling so that they feel nothing. Anti-depressants do not heal they mask pain. Pain is the source of awakening and a catalyst for our healing and growth.

The movie is centered around the character Jonas who lives in a colorless world where there is conformity. There is no conflict, no competition, lying, arguments, fighting or struggle.

Jonas begins to receive memories of the old world. His first memory is that of a sled in the snow. As color begins to return to Jonas rather than seeing a monochromatic world, Jonas begins to see the color red, in apples, which represents passion and love. He uses his apple to receive his daily injection, rather than have his emotions eclipsed by drugs. As he begins to feel love, he changes and understands he has to bring love to his community or die trying.

Their entire world is based on contentment. The weather is perfect and completely static. There is no rain, snow or change of seasons. This
utopian world has strong guidelines and boundaries but is completely void of love. Meryl Streep plays the head elder. She feels that when people have the power to choose that they choose wrong every time.

Upon graduation, Jonas is chosen to be The Receiver and is downloaded with the old world's history and past memories. He is the only one besides Jeff Bridges, The Giver who know what love and emotions feel like.

I highly recommend this movie
for its symbolism and teaching. If humans continue on the path we are currently on, our future isn't far off what is depicted in this movie. We need to feel our emotions rather than mask them. We can't take a pill to mask our grief, sadness and pain and expect to feel joy and love fully. We have to give love to ourselves first to be open to receive love in return.

We need to feel love, touch one another and nurture our children. We can't expect others to raise our babies and have them grow up healthy, balanced and stable.

How To Move Beyond Your Fear of Conflict For Deep Connected Love

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

We dream about the perfect relationship where we love deeply, relate easily and have smooth conversations on a daily basis. As we evolve it is true our relationships become easier, though they are never perfect.

Those closest to us have a knack for touching our most tender wounds in the most unexpected ways. We wouldn't be triggered by a phrase, comment or look if we didn't have a button somewhere in the deep recesses of our mind and body.

Relationships can challenge our deepest fears. If we have had trauma in our childhood, we may find conflict scares the crap out of us. It might feel to you that your world is imploding.

In fact, we may attempt to run away from any sort of conflict. We tend to avoid talking about how we feel, stuffing our emotions and reactivity until we finally explode. People who have a fear of conflict tend to remain silent about what they are upset about. Silence about your feelings leads to passive aggressive behavior.

Conflict will arise no matter how evolved a person is. Relationships will bring up our issues. If you avoid conflict by staying silent, it could be you have a fear of conflict from your past. Perhaps you had a father that was an alcoholic or anger issues, like me. If you did, you may have a fear of anger.

When You Are Afraid Of Conflict

  1. You may do everything in your power to avoid conflict.
  2. You may suppress your feelings and emotions around your date or partner.
  3. You may avoid being honest about how you feel.
  4. Suppressing emotions and feelings can cause you to be passive aggressive. You may start conflict and then point fingers. Passive aggressive people don't like being wrong. They may have started the conflict, but attempt to duck and run afterward.
  5. When you continue to simmer indefinitely on a slow boil, you lose your perspective and ability to see reason.
  6. Anger builds over time to the point that you don't remember what you are angry about.

My daughter, Ariel has become an expert at recognizing passive aggressive behavior in culinary school. She tells it like it is, while others in the kitchen avoid the truth. Ariel is blunt and unconcerned about what others think about what she is saying.

Those who avoid being honest (inauthentic) about what is going on tend to be passive aggressive. Passive aggressive behavior will cripple a relationship. Passive aggressive people will allow things to bubble, like being on a slow boil without letting others know what they are feeling. They hang onto past situations usually have chronic bitch face. What is buried underneath is making them angry, even though it is unconscious. Then, out of the blue, they explode. Teenagers tend to be passive aggressive because they feel they are not heard.

Two passive people can get along for a while. When one person decides they don't want to be passive anymore, the balance is gone. Passive aggression is a subversive way to express yourself. It isn't blunt or honest as it uses a back door method to manipulate another to do what you want. It isn't healthy.

Passive Aggressive People Feel They Don't Have A Voice

Passive Aggressive Statements

"Don't you want to go take out the garbage?" "The garbage is still sitting there." "I noticed the garbage is still there."

We may leave relationships when our issues begin to surface,
rather than dealing with them so they can heal.

We may communicate with ease for months and then WHAMO! Out of the blue, a stray comment insights a deep emotional response from out of nowhere! But was it?

Many of us had parents who didn't model positive communication skills. I certainly didn't. My parents would jab each other verbally till the other would explode in anger. We all walked around on eggshells wondering when the next World War II would occur.

My Personal Experience With Conflict

The result was often weeks of the silent treatment with us kids caught in the fray. My father would say, "Tell your mother............" The same thing was true of my mother. She would make negative comments about our dad. Neither of them had healthy functional families. My father followed what his parents taught him. My mother was an orphan at five and therefore didn't have a healthy relationship to reflect on. She was abandoned therefore her abandonment was a constant theme in her relationship with my father.

Both my parents were passive aggressive. My father's anger was always on a slow boil, as was my mother's. Landmines were exploding all over our home constantly. We all felt as if we were walking on egg shells.

Our internal emotional pain governs our communication. When we react emotionally to something said, it is rarely a reaction to the present moment. Our internal triggers cause old trauma to resurface until we heal it. How we respond to our partner can make or break a relationship. Here are my suggestions to help you navigate a challenging or volatile moment.

  1. Breathe. Breathing will give you an opportunity to tap inside to feel what is coming up for you.
  2. Rather than lash out, ask for a few moments to process what you are feeling. You could say, "I am feeling some deep emotions coming up from what I thought you meant, and I need a moment please."
  3. Give yourself some space. Go for a walk. Go into another room. Take the time you need to feel fully the emotions that are coming up, without blaming the other.
  4. Ask yourself questions: What is this really about? Where have I had this feeling before? Was it from something my parents did or said to me? Does my emotional response have anything to do with what was said, or done, or is this just revealing something to me that is unhealed within me?
  5. Allow yourself some time to calm down. When we respond during an emotionally charged situation without getting grounded, we say and do things we regret. Wait until you are feeling unemotional to respond to the situation.
  6. Fight Fair. Use words that do not inflame the situation further. Avoid the use of blaming words like; "You did this to me!" or "You hurt me. " Instead, use words that refer to what you are feeling. "When I heard you say _______ I felt hurt."
  7. Be honest and authentic, rather than passive aggressive.
  8. Be compassionate and understanding of the other person.
Every relationship no matter how wonderful will eventually bring up your past wounds. You will not always agree with your partner. It doesn't mean that the relationship is over. How you navigate through these difficulties is the determining factor. If the following are present your relationship can endure these emotional triggers.

  1. Your core values are in alignment.
  2. Mutual respect is present.
  3. You each take personal responsibility for your part.
  4. There is no physical harm to either of you.
  5. Deep love is present for each other.
  6. You are committed to work on your relationship.
  7. You are committed to grow together.

Orgasm For Life: An Apology The Shoe-In

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Excerpt from Orgasm For Life

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

The No Holds Barred Guide for BLISS!

If a conflict is left unresolved, it could be a cold snowy day in Miami before you have sex again. Women can’t fight with their partner during the day, then cartwheel into the splits in bed ready to open their legs at night. Disagreements need to be resolved before bedtime if you want to have good oral sex.

Going to bed angry is never a good thing. Sometimes we can’t help it. A genuine apology and acknowledgment of our partner’s experience can smooth the waters, opening the door to intimacy. I know several men who never apologized in all the years they were married. A person who can't apologize is operating from ego rather than their heart. These men were just plain stupid.

A genuine apology will get you more sex than flowers will. I was married to one of these stupid men. When the fairer sex are the only ones apologizing, there will be more snow in Miami! There are many things to be remembered for, this is not one that should go down in the Guinness Book of World Records! It takes a really big person to apologize and a small one to hold a grudge. That apology will get you more loving than you ever thought possible. Just make sure you mean it.

Women are emotional creatures. We need romance, appreciation, acceptance and to feel loved. Women don’t feel loved when dinner has been criticized or we have been berated. We won’t have sex with our partners if they don’t apologize for being an ass. We are different from men. Our mind has to be in the game, or we simply turn off. We can be really stubborn creatures at times. I have known women to hang onto anger for months. Forgiveness is better for you than the person you forgive. When you are able to let go of the past, you will be much more likely to become ecstatic in the bedroom.

5 Reasons You Need To Know Your Core Values

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Core values may come up in business discussions, but rarely on first dates. If you haven't discussed your core values by your second date or phone call, you could be in for a wild ride and heartbreak. Marriages fail and crime rates rise because people have no idea what their core values are. Without a focus on our values, they weaken.

Knowing what your core values are what each of us needs to have a happy life and long-lasting healthy relationships.

What are core values?

Core values are what is important to you. Core values are not to be confused with hobbies or interests. If you are a spiritually minded person, your core values might include healthy lifestyle, meditation, compassion, truth, respect, love, spirituality and give back. Matching your values with another who has similar core values gives you a greater chance of success in your relationship.

There are core values for business. There are core values for families. Before dating someone a second time, it is important to find out what their core values are. It will save you energy, time, and heartbreak down the road.

Reason #1:
If your core values don't match, you could be wasting your time with someone that doesn't want to get married, have children or has other opposing values from yours.

My List of Core Values

  • Love and respect
  • Loving Communication
  • Commitment
  • Monogamy
  • Spirituality
  • Responsibility/health/happiness/finances
  • Compassion
  • Sharing
  • Acceptance
  • Honesty/Authenticity/Transparency
  • Hard Work/According To Soul Purpose
  • Forgiveness
  • Self-Growth and Higher Learning
  • Time with family
  • Nature/pets/rescues/environmental responsibility
  • Conscious Sexual Expression

Write Your List

Your list might be very different than mine. That's okay. You are different than me. Sit down with a pen and paper and write your list of drop-dead must haves. In my Love Yourself Fearlessly program, I help people find out who they are, what they want and don't want so they can recognize what they want in a partner. Until you know yourself and what you truly desire, it will be very difficult for you to manifest what you want, because you aren't clear.

Don't Want To Rock The Boat?

If you are afraid of losing the person you are dating by having a discussion about values and spiritual beliefs, you are already on a rocky slope. Your boat is already filling with water; you just don't know it yet. If when you rock the boat someone falls out, they weren't meant to be in your boat with you.

Why You Need To Know Your Core Values

Reason #2:
When you don't know what is important to you, you might search and never find what you desire.

Reason #3:
If you are job hunting, and you know you are an honest person, but choose to work for someone that promises blue skies and dreams but doesn't pay taxes, is a hoarder, holds grudges, doesn't pay his employees on time you will not be happy with your job choice.

Find Out Early

Before selecting a partner for marriage your core values must match, or you will find too many challenges that your marriage fails. Choosing someone that wants what you want gives you a greater chance of success. If you are dating, you could spend months getting to know someone, fall in love and then find you don't have the same desires for a future together. They might want children, and you don't. You might want sex, and they don't.

Talk About Sex First

Too often sex occurs without a discussion before it happens. Sex is an important part of a relationship. Do we wear condoms? Do you have chlamydia or any other STD? Do you have any sexual phobias or perversions?

Reason #4:
You might find out that your partner prefers kink while you prefer vanilla sex. Though you might stretch your rules and boundaries to accommodate their desires early, a steady diet of something you find abhorrent like being slapped across the ass or elsewhere, might prove too much to endure in a marriage or long-term commitment if it isn't what you want. It is best to find out early what type of sexual experiences your partner likes.

Religion and Spiritual Beliefs

Religion can be a touchy subject. For two people of differing religious backgrounds to meld comfortably, both need to either not practice their religion, be open to conversion or completely accepting of your differences with respect and without judgment.

However, religion is a subject you want to broach with a partner you are dating. If you are Buddhist, and they are Christian, even if you have great chemistry, it would take tremendous openness for a Christian partner to understand your mindfulness, meditation or spiritual beliefs. There needs to be respect for each others' differences and a state of allowing for them both to occupy the same space.

Reason #5
Religious differences may take a smaller role at the beginning of a relationship. Sometimes to keep things on an even keel, we may downplay the importance of our spirituality to maintain the relationship with the guy/gal. If one person is Jewish and the other is Christian what religious upbringing will your children have? Even with Catholic and Christian's backgrounds bringing up children can create havoc and discontent when both parties want to raise their children with their religions.  Having a discussion early about religion/spiritual beliefs and practice will save you heartaches and conflict later.

Knowing how important your religion or spirituality is to you is important. Expressing your need to have and practice according to your wishes needs to be an open discussion.

Author's Note:

Even when a discussion occurs, some people lie about what they believe and want. I married to a Southern man who said he had no problem with my work. After we had been married, it became quite apparent not only did he have a problem with it, he disapproved. He hid his strict Southern Baptist and Christian views and dogma from me until after we were married.

I have a close connection with The Divine. I pray and meditate daily. I live in gratitude; I work with God and angels in my healing work. I speak to Guides and spirits. This is a deal breaker for me. You can be the greatest guy in the world but if you aren't spiritual, accepting of my work and beliefs, it's game over!

I believe in authenticity. I am not afraid to ask questions. I stand up for what I believe. I don't keep my beliefs a secret. If I am not open
to having a particular type of sex, I say so. An open discussion ensues when I begin to have a connection with a man before I move forward towards sexual intimacy.

Bitch To Bliss

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

I love women. I can appreciate beauty in another. I admire a beautiful body, jacket or handbag. I tell women that they are beautiful when I meet them. I didn't always feel this way about other women. I have been on the receiving end of criticism, jealousy and rancor from women. We begin to truly appreciate others when we accept ourselves as we are. Until we do, we might feel jealous, or less than other women.

Women are powerhouses. Women give life, feed, care for and lovingly nurture children, pets, husbands and all manner of critters our progeny bring home. We create homes out of houses. Women keep households running. They take care of the sick, heal, bathe, clean and keep the laundry up to date.

Don't get me wrong, women can be bitches. We can be viciously jealous of others, complain, nag and strive for perfection. We say no when we mean yes then wonder why we didn't say yes afterward. Women are difficult to understand. In fact, for the opposite sex we can be confounding. When upset or angered most women can castrate their men with a piercing look or a simple word. Yes, we can be bitches. But do we have to be?

Power Through Softness

I maintain that women opt for bitchiness because it is scary. We tend to appear more powerful when we are bitching. Often our bitchiness moves mountains. Most men would rather get the job done, than endure another moment of scathing looks or words. Scaring our offspring and lovers does not endear us. In fact, bitchiness can make our men run for the hills, or softer, more nurturing pastures.

There is another way to get our point across or the job done. A smiling face and welcoming hug are certainly more appealing than our arms crossed across our bosom as if to say, "No one shall enter here!"

I know what it feels like to be or act like a bitch. I used to be one. My emotions were out of control. The only female role model I had been imprinted by was my mother. I witnessed her wrath on many occasions. Nagging was a way of life. We all tuned her out. Silence was my mother's go-to punishment for my father. I am not sure whether he preferred the silent treatment over her bitching wrath? I do know he found a way to tune her out. He found a hobby that kept him busy for hours. His hobby was one that involved winemaking, tasting and bottling. For years, my father retired to the basement where he stirred, watched, sniffed, filtered and tasted his fine wines. Alcohol was his way of avoiding my mother. It soothed his soul, mind and calmed his nerves. It also pissed our matriarch off.

Bad Behavior

Our negative behavior or unbridled anger only pushes our partners away. Anger is a way of showing disapproval without really conversing about the subject where we object. Anger is avoidance of the truth or emotions. Anger is the only emotion that most of us can experience or express, due to our family of origin. New behaviors must be adopted and learned to move beyond avoidance, bitching and nagging.

Why then do we continue to act in this way, if it doesn't work? What are other ways of getting our brood to hear us and do our bidding? It is what we want, right? What most of us want is to have others do what we want.

Manipulation As A Maneuver

Getting another to perform a task or do what we want is manipulation. Giving sex as a reward for household chores or duties provided makes sex transactional. We become little more than married prostitutes when we use sex to get what we want.

Over the next few weeks, I will explore a variety of communication styles and the results you can hope to receive. No one wants to be called a bitch. So why would we act like one?

8 Powerful Feng Shui Cures For Love and Romance

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

It's time! Enough lonely nights, trips alone and dinners with your best friends. It is time to herald a new relationship, rather than spend another year alone.

2016 is the year for you to find love

Get ready for love with these tips and cures. If you already have a relationship, this article will help you enhance the love that is already present and ease conflict where it is present.

Yes, love is more than a possibility. You have received ample information about doing your own inner work. You know you have to love yourself to have someone love you back. We also have to be open to receive love. Check in and see if you need a clearing on this, contact me if you do. I am offering some summer specials.

When I had my landscaping business in Atlanta, Georgia, I wasn't your typical landscape professional. I had to be different, a unique
version that represented who I was. My landscape business encompassed Feng Shui. You may have heard of it before. You might even be an expert. What I do know is that when I used Feng Shui cures, I could call in a relationship almost instantly. Feng Shui can enhance all areas of your life.

What Is Feng Shui?

Ba Gua
Pronounced Fung Schway, it is the 3,000-year-old art of placement. It literally translates to wind and water. The Chinese have been using Feng Shui in their homes and businesses for thousands of years.

Good Feng Shui can bring you wealth, harmony, health, love and amplify all the good things in your life. Feng Shui can help strengthen relationships.

Focused attention on the relationship area can bring you love that you have never experienced, or rekindle an old love. It can be used to quiet disputes within the family or relationships.

Simply put, Feng Shui is the soothing of our environment using the five elements, are air, fire, water, earth and ether. Cures can be used to enhance a relationship, or increase the flow of wealth in your life.

There are two distinct forms of Feng Shui. Classical or what I call REAL Feng Shui uses a compass or Luo pan.

The updated form is called Modern Feng Shui. Created for us westerners, this modern version
simplifies the Classical form for those who find the compass method challenging. This method uses your front door as the north or career area (no matter which way your front door faces). I prefer the compass version. You can choose whichever suits you, either form of Feng Shui will work.

Ba gua

The Ba gua above is used to show where each area is in each room of your home. Place the bagua over your floor plan facing the appropriate direction to find where each area is in every room in your home. Each room is comprised of the following areas: health (heart), career, helpful people, knowledge, family and children, wealth, fame and relationships. To begin with,  focus on one room, your bedroom.

Count the number of rooms in your home or apartment. That number is how many relationship areas you have inside your home. You also have relationship areas outside your home as well. You can plant flowers to enhance the area, use up-lighting outside and use the cures below.

The Relationship Area

Giving special attention to our relationship areas can foster loving, harmonious and lasting relationships built on trust and unconditional love.

Right before I met the love of my life, John Armbruster, I did all the things listed below. It was a matter of weeks before I met John. I also walked around my whole house both inside and outside and got rid of anything that depicted a single element, one tree, one flower or a person alone. I had plenty of artwork that depicted one element. I didn't realize how I was subconsciously self-sabotaging myself as well as avoiding love.

It can be very telling to examine all your furnishings, artwork and photos. Be a super sleuth and write down all the things you have in your home that depict a single person, rather than a couple. You will be amazed! Gradually changing these single pieces for pairs or groups will help your relationship greatly.

Below are both suggestions and areas to be watchful for if you have conflict in your current relationship, or you want to draw in a new love.

Want To Heat Up Your Love Life?

At the same time each day turn on your bedside table lamps. Leave them on for 3 hours every day for 27 days. Your love life will really heat up. This really works! I have had women come back to me after making just one or two changes and found love quickly.

Here are 8 ways to amp up your love life and draw love in:

  1. Clear your clutter. Clutter represents the past. You want to create love in the present. Clear your clutter first before doing any of these cures. Clutter in the mind will clutter your relationships with issues. Clutter is a big no-no when drawing love or wealth. It is a sign of too much on your mind. Too many things
Sage stick - to clear negativity
left undone unfinished business, projects etc. Clean your bedroom thoroughly. Make sure there is no mess or clutter under your bed, as energy circulates underneath the bed. Get into corners and burn sage if you  have it. Sage will clear sadness, negativity and any left over conflict from past arguments or relationships.
  2. It Takes Two! Make sure you have two bedside tables in your bedroom, one on either side of your bed. Two end tables on either side of your couch are necessary as well. This shows that you are open to having someone else share your space.
  3. Symbolic Artwork. Make sure that each of your relationship corners (SW) have artwork depicting happy couples touching and more than one element. Place pairs of statues that symbolize love to you in your relationship corner in each room. Look around your home and move artwork or any photos that have only one element in them. (You can use those in other areas - just keep solitary trees, or people out of the relationship areas). For example
    Peony
a photo of a lone tree in the landscape. You want artwork that depicts couples, loving and touching. Paintings of a bunch of flowers in a vase, rather than a single flower. Peonies are especially auspicious for love and romance, both in photos, artwork and fragrance.
  4. Crank up the heat in your bed! Sheets that are white, bright green or even red will heat up your love life. Use red sparingly, as it could burn your relationship out. Red denotes fire. Use decorator pillows sparingly. Beds that have too many pillows are a turn-off for men (too much work to make the bed).
  5. Two pink candles in your relationship area will add some spark and heat up your relationship if you are currently in one. Light them together. Pairs of animals, cranes, ducks, in the SW corner of your room placed close together, or touching will draw love to you. Two cozy chairs (no table between them) also works. You are creating a comfy place for two.
  6. Make Room! If your closets are over-stuffed and can't fit another article of clothing, clear out the old stuff you never wear. To draw love in, you want to create space for it to come
in. It is called creating a void. When we create a void by emptying closets, drawers and getting rid of what isn't loved or used we make room for something new. When our homes are busting at the seams with furniture, decorations and belongings, there is no room for anything new to come in.
  7. Best Master Bedroom Colors are: rose, purple, pink, green. Avoid peach as it can lead to philandering (affairs).
  8. A Vase of Fresh Cut Pink Flowers in the relationship area will raise the vibration of the room faster than anything I mentioned previously. Fresh flowers in the home can transform the energy instantly. Do not used dried flowers, they denote death. If you can't do fresh, silk are the next best thing.

Bedroom Do's And Don'ts

  • Make sure your bed is in the commanding position within your room
  • Doors knobs that open into one another or clash, can cause conflict in the household
  • Mirrors at the foot of the bed or on the side that reflects the couple can lead to negative vibes, serious issues within the relationship
  • No Television in the bedroom - creates issues within the relationship and also reflects the couple in the glass
  • No mirrors opposite windows
  • If bathroom is attached to your bedroom, always keep bathroom door closed
  • Bed accessible on all three sides to keep your partner. Bed scrunched into corner of room does not allow chi (energy) to circulate properly - creating stagnant chi
  • Find your Kua number to discover which direction to sleep in for optimum personal/relationship health and deep sleep
  • Use wooden beds. Metal beds provide cutting energy and are not good for a bedroom
  • Closed headboard - open headboards with cabinetry creates a heaviness around the head and negative chi. Never use a stand alone headboard that does not attach to the bed
  • Queen sized bed - allows enough room, but not so much that you have space between you
  • Relocate exercise and computer equipment to other areas - bedrooms are for two things, sleep and sex
  • No chandelier over the bed
  • No fan over the bed - gives you an uneasy feeling and can affect sleep
  • Clutter especially on the floor lowers the vibration and attracts negativity and can cause depression if left for long periods
  • Do not give the commanding position (rear of house) bedroom to a child. Can cause power struggles between parents and child (whoever sleeps in the back bedroom commands the household)

What people are saying about Jennifer

I met Jennifer at one of her workshops that a friend recommended to me.  At that time I was searching, and wanting some help out of my deep depression and anxiety.
Keeping in touch, I joined her on line workshops, and eventually her coaching once a week.

One of my earliest coaching sessions with Jennifer, I felt complete trust, like I have never felt with anyone in my ENTIRE LIFE.  I told her my deepest darkest secrets, and she welcomed me into her loving space.  For this, I will never ever forget, and will be eternally grateful.

She allowed me to be where I was, no rescue, no high expectation - no pat advice that I have heard over and over - not landing anywhere in me that could really grow.
Her advice was simple and doable, small steps to move forward - with kindness, and no judgment allowed me to open up.
The meditations helped me see my guides and myself in a new light.  As I grew in compassion and respect for myself as a result from the coaching sessions, vast changes in me occurred.I feel happier, more peaceful, more truly loving now.
In both my professional life and personal life, the changes though subtle, were highly significant:  I easily am present with people and they sense this.  If nothing else occurs, I feel that this is a huge gift, to be able to connect with people so that they feel heard and significant.
