When The Pain Becomes Too Great

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

My daughter in grief after her father's death

Pain is a part of life. Pain can be a physical experience, it can also be emotional. We feel pain when we have a break-up or divorce. We can try to hide our miser, but it shows up on our faces. We experience pain when we have a loss of a loved one through death. Sometimes the emotional pain is so great that it causes a block in our heart, which can cause us physical pain or a heart attack. Yes, a broken heart can result in a heart attack.

When we experience emotional pain, we can suffer. Suffering comes from attempting to avoid pain. Turning away, running away does not net a positive result. Avoidance of pain is what creates our suffering.

Sometimes we have a family secret locked away inside of us. We don't want to tell anyone, for fear of rejection or worse; perhaps abandonment. Keeping deep secrets inside creates a fracture in our soul. Secrets tear us apart. Secrets destroy trust. Holding onto a deep secret can also cause us to become ill. The energy of the secret held inside can bring up fear or anxiety.

Keeping a secret locked away from someone close to us keeps us from experiencing deep intimacy. Many of us have a fear of intimacy because we are afraid we won't be loved and excepted if others knew who we truly are, or the truth of our past.

Releasing The Pain

Part of our healing is letting the secret out into the light. Talking about what we are experiencing can be a form of release. Last night I discussed my past pain that I experienced in my past on my radio show, and more energy surfaced for me to heal and let go. Crying is a form of release. Making love can be a way to move our energy, if we can be raw, open and completely vulnerable. Often this openness changes our relationship for the better, resulting in a deeper intimacy or closeness. Intimacy deepens our bond of love.

We can't expect another to take our pain away, it is not possible. No one can fix us. Looking to be rescued makes you a victim. You are not a victim. Owning your pain, expressing it, through journaling, or speaking about it can help it move.

One thing I will tell you, letting it go, by feeling it completely, allowing it to flow through you is the best way. If we choose to stuff it back inside when it is attempting to come up, it will cause you issues. It could return with a vengeance when you least expect it.

Grief

There is no timetable for healing grief. Everyone has their own experience. If we have lost a child, the emotions we feel are intense because we often blame ourselves thinking we could have done more. We feel it is wrong for a child to die before their parents. Guilt can make
grief more intense. Guilt and shame are the lowest vibrational emotions we can experience. Try not to stay there. Forgive yourself.

Three years later, my daughter is still processing the loss of her father. It took me about three years to get over the loss of my lover, John Armbruster. The fact that he died right after sex made his death infinitely more intense for me. The manner by which someone dies can impact us strongly. When someone dies in what appears to be untimely, that can feel very troubling and challenging, especially when the person is young.

My father transitioned over 26 years ago. I still think about him, but the pain is gone. The love remains the same, (thank you Gavin Rossdale or Bush).

Writing Love Letters

Writing a love letter to ourselves, or our loved one can shift our energy and help to release our pain. Whether our loved one is still on the planet, or not, writing a letter can help you release emotion.

Questions

Asking questions can help you move your energy. Following are a few to get you started.

Ask what was the gift that this person gave you? What lesson did their death teach you? There is always a silver lining. We just have to look for it. Asking questions often gets you to the bottom of your pain. Did you do all you could do? What could you have done differently? Would it have made a difference?

Are You Your Own Perpetrator?

When we feel like a victim, we often beat ourselves up. Judgment and self-criticism is not productive. Stop beating yourself up and ask questions instead. You will feel better. I promise. Your energy will move and you will feel more whole.

Pain can be an incredible motivator. It certainly was for me. Pain was what spurred me onto healing my past emotional trauma from abuse. It took a long time for me because it was before coaching; I did my healing alone. I tried many different things till I found the best combination for moving energy quickly. Through my personal work, I developed a program to help people heal quickly.

Learning hypnotherapy and energy healing helped me release trapped emotions, blocks depression, and anxiety. Now I use these
modalities along with the Akashic Records to help people release their emotions, blocks and limiting beliefs with greater speed and ease. The Akashic Records help as I channel information from The Ascended Masters about what your core issues are.

Why Are We Here?

The bottom line is, you are here to heal, grow and evolve. In the process of growing, giving back to the universe makes you feel purposeful, and fulfilled. When we are fulfilled we live in joy. We feel we are doing something for the good of all, rather than for selfishness. Evolution is our soul purpose. Recognizing who you truly are, being authentic, vulnerable, loving and accepting is the goal.

Loving you is what will bring you peace, total acceptance and draw wonderful experiences to you. When you do, you will be in full bloom, firing on all cylinders. I await your phone call to be an emissary of light for your growth.

With all the love that I AM,

Jennifer

Firey Spanish and Hot Swiss Enjoy Sex Far More Than The US

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Michelle Hunziker

Maybe it is because I grew up in Canada, where the winters are cold and long. Maybe it is because in spite of my mother's puritanical views about sex and men, I still managed to enjoy sex. Or maybe it is because my grandparents were from The Ukraine, which is so close to Russia? Or maybe it is because it is my calling. Living in the US and married to three different American men, I have had plenty of opportunity to do my own research. (If you haven't yet, please take a few moments to take my survey to serve you better. )

I have to agree with the statistics. Although some are progressive most Americans are pretty puritanical for when it comes to views on sex and sex-education.

Americans could certainly learn a thing or two about our foreign neighbors. The US is known for puritantical views about sex. Christians and right wing politicians have fought hard to keep this puritanical rating, lobying against gay marriage, abortions and even sex education.

Interestingly, with those puritanical views we have one of the highest rates of teen pregnancy in the world and one of the lowest rates of sexual satisfaction. We could possibly take a page out of Russia's book, where 80% of the population have sex once a week.

NOTE: Countries that are more relaxed about sex have lower rates of STDs and teen pregnancy. Teaching abstinence is not the answer.

Statistics tell a sad tale about sexual dissatisfaction in the US citing that Americans are only 48% satisfied with their sex lives. People in other countries have sex 70 times more frequently than Americans. That is enough to make Mr. Winky shrink! It is my mission to improve this statistic, with education and better communication.

What is the underlying reason for the dissatisfaction you ask? RESPECT. Mutual respect must be in place for sex to be amazing. Trust is the other issue that plays a large roll in sexual satisfaction. If you don't trust your partner to have your back, you won't completely allow them into your inner sanctum. Deep intimacy needs both respect and trust to exist. Without it, your sex life will be robotic, cursory or perfunctory at best.

How was sexual satisfaction measured? According to Durex global research, the criteria include: mutual love and respect between partners; freedom from stress; ability to orgasm; freedom from sexual dysfunction; good mental and physical health; and frequency of sex and foreplay. Oh... and having an exciting sex life! This 2014 Durex study also revealed that socio-economic status also impacted levels of sexual satisfaction.

The top 12 most sexually satisfied countries are:
1. spain: You have got to give it to the hot blooded Spaniards! My first topless beach I ever visited was in Spain over 25 years ago. Their world's best lover list surveyed 15,000 women around the world and the Spanish men have got it going on with the testosterone of the running bulls! The response of the Spaniards? A study of 9,850 Spanish people found that 90 percent of both men and women were sexually satisfied. Their satisfaction improved over time with a stable partner versus casual sex.

2. Switzerland: Is it the legalized prostitution, licensed brothels, liberal pornography stance, or beginning sex education in kindergarten? Or is it that the Swiss are so scrupulously clean with duvets so incredibly soft and warm? The Swiss are smiling for more reasons than their beautiful Alpine valleys. 21 percent of Swiss reported that their sex lives was consistently, "excellent." 32 percent said that they had sex in public places (a huge turn-on for non-puritanical folks). Even with all the schtuping the Swiss have the lowest teen pregnancy rate in the world. The United States teen pregnancy rate is almost ten times higher than Switzerland.

3. nigeria: Nigeria was actually rated number one for sexual satisfaction, most claimed that sex lasts for 24 minutes on average. After reading the explanation that Durex mentioned that there apparently was some mis-communication about some of the questions that were mis-translated or misunderstood or not answered honestly. Given the prevalence of Islamic extremism, the fact that they recently banned same sex unions, this rating is questionable. It might be a case of "misunderstanding?" Nigerian women were ranked the most unfaithful in the world, at 62 percent saying they cheated on a partner. If sex is so great, why would you cheat? Maybe it's just me.

4. italy: Maybe I need an Italian man, with the emphasis on food, sexual satisfaction that begins at the dinner table with good food and wine. I have to say, I love good food and good wine! The two are inextricably linked. Perhaps this is the reason Italians are considered some of the best lovers in the world. Italian women are quite content with their love lives. Those women who consume two glasses of wine a day apparently enjoy much greater sexual satisfaction than those who don't drink. (Wine increases oxygenation in the blood, relaxes inhibitions and allows wild abandon.....  well it certainly does for me!) 64% of Italian men and women rated their sex lives as satisfying. A third of Italians say that their trysts last more than 10 minutes.

5. brazil: We've seen the gorgeous Brazilian women half-naked on the beach, with the best asses in the world. Brazilian men are second to the Spaniards as the world's best lovers. Depending on the stats you look at most Brazilians are doing the horizontal mamba times a week! As a nation the Brazilians are smiling for other reasons than their successful Brazilian blowouts or waxing. These Latins lose their virginity earlier than almost any other nation. Hot hot hot!

5. greece: Uptight and outta sight is not a phrase given to the Greeks. As a nation they are far less uptight about communicating sexual desires. When you research history, the Greeks have been talking about sex for centuries. In the fourth century BC, Hippocrates considered to be the father of medicine,  discussed sexual desire openly: "In the cases of women when during intercourse the vagina is rubbed and irritation in the womb ... produces pleasure and heat in the rest of the body."

Greeks talk about sex at work, with friends and certainly with their lovers. Which as you know, I can't stress enough. If you aren't talking about it, you aren't doing it right. The Greeks have the most sex on the planet, 164 times a year on average. Diet, fresh air and climbing all those stairs plays a large part in sexual health. These gloriously relaxed uninhibited people are 51 percent satisfied. Did I tell you I am going to Greece to write a book?

6. the netherlands: With a reputation as one of the most pro-sex countries in the world, open sex education, nude beaches and its famous red light district is only part of their sexual satisfaction. 64 percent of Dutch men and women are confident about asking what they want in bed during sex. They are also more open about sexual expression in general. By comparison, only half of American are able to ask for their needs to be met or talk about sexual desires. What is surprising is that Holland has a very low teen birth rate of 5.3 per 1,000 where the US is at 39.1 per 1,000. Holland also shines more brightly when it comes to HIV, and abortion rates. 22% of their population rates their sex life as EXCELLENT!

7. mexico: You wonder why Mexicans have so many kids? They are a horny lot! Mexicans rank as the second most sexually satisfied nation in the world. 63 percent claim a fulfilling sex life. Over 700,000 sex-ed textbooks were distributed in Mexico City in 2008 to high schools that cover birth control, abortion and homosexuality. Maybe it is because sex work has been decriminalized. (Sadly, decriminalizing hasn't curtailed Mexico's human trafficking problem, as Mexico is one of the most prominent for child sexual exploitation in the world.)

8. india: With arranged marriages and the fact that Indians wait the longest to have sex (22 years old on average), this country has been rated the most satisfied nation for years. (Maybe it is due to the Kama Sutra, or that Tantra originated here over 4,000 years ago.) Slow sex seems to be in their dhotis. Apparently Indians enjoy prolonging pleasure (a Tantric trait it is about the journey rather than the destination.) Indian men spend more time on foreplay and seduction that other countries. Once the act begins, Indians are the quickest performing in the bedroom, 13 minutes. A dichotomy of sorts: slow then fast. No wonder we see so many beautiful smiles in India, they rate their sex lives quite high: 61 percent are satisfied.

11. Australia: Of the Aussies I have met they all seems to be smiling pretty smugly for a reason. Is it because they go "walkabout?" 75 percent of Australians have had sex on the road. Road warriors they are, enjoying more than just driving in their cars. Cosmo reported that 27 percent of Australian women "wouldn't change a thing" about their sex lives. Australians are more promiscuous than most, 25 is the average number of partners for men, compared to their American counterparts. Women fared almost equal to the American women at 10 for the Sheila's and 9 for the US women.

11. GERMANY: Strangely the Germans were downgraded for being too smelly which gave them the moniker  “worst lovers” the country does have an excellent progressive sex-ed program and is known for progressive political policies for sex workers. There is plenty of sexual excitement in Germany, maybe it is their incredibly engineered vehicles? One-night stands are frequent with 32 percent of German's admitting to getting on and going. Those BMW's and Volvos (did the name come from Vulva?) must be a turn on as 30 percent have had sex in a public place. German's rate their sexual performance as excellent. The fact that German's might avoid deodorant shouldn't be that much of a deterrent, as they rate far better than the US with sexually transmitted disease; one sixth that of the US.

12. CHINA: Can you say, Jiànzi anyone? The Chinese may not be satisfied, but they sure do use their shuttlecocks a lot. One of the most repressed and conservative societies in the world, behind closed doors they are having sex more frequently than any other nation. Seventy-eight percent are getting down at least once a week. Men politely follow up a great date with a tasteful e-mail. China is the world's leading supplier of sex toys and games supplying seventy percent of the world's sexual products. Sex toy purchases have boomed on line over the past ten years. You might be surprised to know that China hosts SEXPO each year in Shanghai.

Top 10 Most Sexually Satisfied Countries

  1. Nigeria 67%
  2. Mexico 63%
  3. India 61%
  4. Poland 54%
  5. Greece 51%
  6. Holland 50%
  7. South Africa 50%
  8. Spain 49%
  9. Canada 48%
  10. USA 48%
Sadly, Japan ranked last with only 15%, due to the fact that they have little time for sex.

World's Best Lovers - Oh Canada!
1. Spain
2. Brazil
3. Italy
4. France
5. Ireland
6. South Africa
7. Australia
8. New Zealand
9. Denmark
10. Canada

Beware of Fakes and Posers On Social Media

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

I have received 10 marriage proposals from men I never met who professed their undying love to me.  I am not alone. The fact that I write and talk about sex might get me some unwanted attention, but there are other women who are receiving these fake friend requests and marriage proposals like I am. This is serious business. One widow was contacted by a man, who professed his love to her. She ended up sending him $300,000 and three cars. Now she is homeless, and he has all her money. This post is to warn you of the dangers of talking to men you don't know from social media.

Some don't even read your profile. Instead, they ask what you do? Others comment on how wonderful your profile is and how beautiful you are. There is usually flattery.

Fortunately for me I am intutive and have good discernment skills. Other women are not so fortunate. Many women believe these fakes and have sent money to these men. Dr. Phil has even coined a name for these men: CATFISH.

Here is an example of an exchange from Linked In I received this morning:

From Alex Donald (photo of a white man with glasses) Notice two first names

Hello there,I Just came across your profile and it caught my attention. You are absolutely beautiful & radiantly elegant, You sound pretty interesting too. It would be nice if we could get to Know Each Other Much better. i hope to Hear from you soon.Warm Hugs

My returned message:

Thank you Alex.

I appreciate your kind words. I have been told that I am interesting. I certainly don't let moss grow under my feet!

Very nice note from you. Thank you.

Jennifer

His second message to me on Linked In:

Thanks for your response to my message..

Am Alex Donald by name. Kelly is my only son, and he lives with me. i am originally from France never grown up to know my France people, when growing up, my father and mom relocated with me when i was 15 to start a new life in Wales. Quit a long story, To summaries it i was raise in Wales where i spent much of my time and energy as a youth. I am the only son of my parents both parents past away many years ago. I have been married once and now widowed with son. But after the death of my wife i had to relocate to the Houston Texas to start a new life. The reason why i messaged you was because i saw your profile and it caught my attention. I really want to know you more and i need a woman that will love me with all her heart. I am ready to travel and come meet you any time just to see you, distance can never be a barrier in a relationship. Just tell me more about yourself.

Regards
Alex Donald
Following is my response:

Alex,

I am not sure what men think. I have raised my children. It was a long challenging road. I am not interested in the least in raising yours. You will have to find another woman who might be interested. You are barking up the wrong tree.

Take Jennifer' survey to serve you better

NOTE: You have to be strong, definitive and not wishy-washy with these people. If you leaven an opening - they will take it and take advantage of you. Be strong. There is a real person out there who will love you. Don't engage with these people.

SIGNS

  1. Two first names, like Ray Norman or Alex Chris, I could go on, I have had over 100 of these requests
  2. Use military photos of US soldiers, with two first names
  3. You can tell they don't speak English as a first language
  4. Grammatical mistakes, misuse of words in message
  5. You don't meet them in person.
  6. Photo of a man with a child.
  7. Story of wife dying or drug use
  8. Usually a child in the mix.
  9. Noise in the background (other people) when on the phone.
  10. Sob story
  11. Tells you he loves you in the first or second message, or at the very least wants someone who will love them with all their heart.
  12. Tells you how beautiful you are in the first message.
  13. Says he has been looking for someone like you all his life.

Photos of Men With A Child

Many men that are posing as someone they are not, use a photo of a white man with a child. They seem to think that if they have a child in a photo that we will feel sorry for their fake story of woe how their wife died and left him all alone. None of it is true.

Next he will be telling you how much he loves you and how he has been looking for someone just like you for years. He will reel you in with his lies and then ask for financial help. He may even ask you to send him an airline ticket, or a vehicle. Dr. Phil has exposed several of these scams on television. Could it happen to you?

Engaged To A Man You Never Met?

I have had at least 10 marriage proposals and even phone calls from men who profess their love for me and are angry with me when I question why they are calling me in the first place. I block their phone numbers.

Protect Yourself

  1. Don't give your e-mail, phone number or physical address out to someone you meet on the Internet
  2. Don't talk to someone on the phone unless you know them.
  3. If you must talk to these strangers, do so on Face book using the message calling so that they don't have your phone number.
  4. Know that scamming American women from African countries is a big business, costing Americans 100,000 a day. These countries are poor and you are the target.
  5. Open your eyes and read between the lines. Anyone can post a photo of a person that isn't them on the Internet.
  6. I had one man use a model's photo with a briefcase. He was very handsome, but the broken English didn't match the face.
  7. Don't accept a marriage proposal from someone you have never met.
  8. Real people don't fall in love with you in one or two messages.
  9. Real people don't propose without ever meeting you in person.
  10. Real people want to get to know you, touch you, kiss you and won't ask for money sight unseen.

Nanny Temptation for Ben Aflleck and Gavin Rossdale?

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are divorcing after 13 years of marriage. They have three sons together. Rumors have surfaced, that like Ben Affleck, Gavin Rossdale has cheated.

I don't usually comment on the tabloids or hollywood divorce. With two famous couples recently filing for divorce, many are questioning if true love exists. Of course it does. If a commitment is made to be monogamous and one of the parties (men in both cases) are unfaithful, it can be a very difficult event to get over. In fact, the hurt and betrayal can be so great that the women can't imagine overcoming it. You can see the pain on Gwen's face in this photo taken yesterday. I feel for her and their children.

Ben Affleck aparently had an affair with their 28-year-old nanny. The betrayal is as bad as Arnold Schwartzenegger with their
Ben Affleck picutured with Christine Ouzounian - nanny
housekeeper. Under their wives nose in their own bed.

When you love someone and they are unfaithful, the pain is intense. You feel rejection, abandonment, betrayal and grief all at the same time. For me it was the end of my marriage in each case. The truth is it can't be hidden. The truth will come out.

I knew every time I was cheated on. Our gut tells us. We may hear a rumour, but our gut never lies. I have to say, I had a nanny when my second son was born in England. I was careful to pick someone that was young, innocent with strong morals. The girl that we had was Australian, sweet as can be. After my son was born, I had a little concern because I was getting my post-partum body back in shape. It can be a tough time emotionally for women. Hormones are raging, their breasts are full, new baby and a nanny.

Marriage can be challenging. Add three children, and fame none of us really know what happened. We can only speculate. It isn't any of our business. It is sad to see a bright shiny couple happily married successfully for years. When their marriage ends, we can feel disappointment, thinking that this in some way reflects on the love that we desire.

Cheating happens but not all men cheat. Not all women cheat either. Having opportunity many men will venture into the unknown territory because of the thrill while their brain shuts off. Scientifically speaking their conscience flies out the window. My aunt who was a very stiff Englishwoman and medical doctor had a phrase that spoke to men's desire to cheat, "A standing cock has no conscience." They may not feel regret until it is too late.

Often men who were previously distant will begin showering you with gifts after an affair to asage their conscience.

Doing This One Thing Will Change Your Life

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

People come to me because they are unhappy. Usually, fingers point to their relationship partner. Boy can I relate! I used to feel that my husband, boyfriend, children or parents were what was causing me to be unhappy. When I finally woke up, I began to see how a little shift in perception changed everything. With a soft focus on ourselves we drop the self critiquing and judgment.

If you feel life is hard it will be. Your life will be a series of struggles and difficulties. Your relationships will be difficult rather than easy. If you love life, and feel that life is fun, a beach in fact, you will enjoy your life. Instead of a life wrought with struggles it will be filled with ease, challenges may come up, but you will find them to be opportunities for growth and expansion.

If you believe life is worth living, it will be. Whatever your perception -  creates your reality. If you feel unloved, unlovable and alone, you will be. The gift is that you can change your perception.

Life for me is a beach. What does a beach mean for me? Bliss. Unadulterated joy, pleasure and freedom. You can walk for miles
on white sand beaches, stepping into the cool water when you wish to. You can sit, stand, walk or run, depending on how you feel. You have complete freedom on a beach to float, swim or just be.

Life wasn't always a beautiful sandy beach for me. My life was wrought with rocks, abysses, potholes, twists, curves and very bumpy roads. I used to make life hard. I chose the most difficult way to do things. I was very stubborn. I tried to change the people I loved,  thinking I could "fix" someone else, which took the focus away from my own issues.

If I could fix someone else, I thought I was helping them. Focusing on other people's issues often causes us to blame them for our personal unhappiness. When we spend time focusing on what others are doing or not doing, we are avoiding the truth within.

What changed for me was my perception. Instead of looking at challenges in life as problems, I recognized there was always a gift and a lesson in each event. I also recognized that I had everything I needed inside me, I just had to drop my judgment of it all. When I began to acknowledge the gifts coming to me and what I was learning, I would see another similar situation coming toward me, once I had learned my lesson I could make different choices and side-step that issue.

Sometimes, my lessons were harder to learn, because of the deep childhood imprint and trapped emotions. Eventually I learned that I was creating these challenges with my thinking and emotions. Once the trapped emotions were cleared, I shifted. My own victim hood, negativity and judgment caused me to attract difficulties.

Wherever we focus our attention grows. When we shift our perception and see that we are learning and growing from each experience and are being supported not punished by the universe and God, we aren't victims at all.

5 Ways to Get Beyond The Stuck, Stagnant & Shitty Vibe

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Your motherboard crashes, your Internet goes down, you get into a fight with your partner or best friend and you wonder is it just you? When nothing is going right pushing another bad move isn't in your best interest. There are ways to get out of a funk or bad vibe.

If doing things your regular way isn't feeling right rather than continuing to do the same thing or make another decision that nets a loss here are some ways to handle and rid yourself of that funk, stagnant and shitty mess.

When Venus is in retrograde, till September 6th, you may feel unloved, or that you aren't getting the love you need. You may feel where you are spending your money isn't netting you the results you expected: NO LOVE! That is what Venus in retrograde does.

Here are 5 Ways to Get Unstuck

1. Play some music to get you moving and shift your mood. Here is a list of 100 happy summer songs to get you thinking. Huffington Post came up with a list of happy songs for the winter months. I have my own suggestions below.

2. Move. Get outside and exercise. Exercise will shift your energy, relieve stress, anger and frustration.

3. Dance. Come on get out of your chair. You know you want to. Dancing will make you feel so much better. Remember I love you!

4. Cook something healthy for yourself. Even baking can make you feel loved and taken care of. You don't need to have someone to take care of you, you need to self care.

5. Take a salt water bath. Epsom salts will take away the funk, relax your muscles and clear your energy.

You Get What You Give

Remember what you put out you get back. If you are not at your best, playing music and dancing will be sure to help aleviate the blues. If the New Radicals don't do it for you, maybe Hall and Oates One on One will, or Pharrell Williams, Happy.

Maybe listening to Hall and Oates will get you in the mood to really play some One on One! That will surely shift your funk! Or how about Friday I'm In Love by The Cure? For those of you who prefer R& B, I have some R. Kelly, Marvine Gaye, getting it on, to top off your playlist. By the time you listen to my final selection of Etta James, At Last, you should be dancing with your partner all the way upstairs! If you want more of these, here is a download of modern love songs to help you feel loved.

Can't Meditate? Think Again!

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

There are many ways that we self-sabotage our lives, relationships and success. The biggest one is saying, "I can't do ___________ " fill in the blank. We have all done it at one time or another. One of the things that I teach my clients is how to meditate. Why? Because it helps to calm mind chatter, bring a sense of peace, grounding and alleviates depression.

Deepak Chopra has said that the closest most people have come to meditation is by having sex. Sexual energy is the primal and creative force of the universe flowing through us. Scientists agree that meditation and sex do the same thing to the mind: quiet mind chatter, create mindfulness, alleviate depression, raise awareness, lower stress levels, bring a sense of a dissolving of the ego and the self.

Both sex and meditation bring a blissed out feeling to the mind and body, help us be in the present moment connecting us to our spiritual selves, unless your sex is a 2-minute mindless quickie. Meditating prior to sex can deepen your experience and connect
you profoundly to your partner during sex and beyond. Meditation will increase your confidence, help you with emotional issues and life challenges and bring you deep happiness. From my personal experience, if I am having a challenge, going into meditation will shift my mood, focus and help me feel more positive within minutes. I highly recommend meditation!

If you don't know how to meditate, here are some easy ways that I share with my clients that I coach.

without turning your head up, breath deeply
  1. My trick to quiet the mind: sit upright, relax the shoulders, without lifting your head, turn your eyes upward towards the ceiling. Look at the ceiling for two-to-three minutes. Close your eyes and begin your meditation. You can continue to turn your eyeballs upward under your closed lids to further quiet your mind.
  2. Breathe in slowly. Exhale slowly. Many meditation teachers recommend that you follow your breath. I had a difficult time with this one. I suggest slowing the breath and being aware of it. Slow inhalation. Slow exhalation.
  3. Bring your focus to your heart. Most people begin to meditate from their minds which is problematic due to the mind chatter. We want to get into our heart center. There are several ways to get into your heart. You can begin noticing your feet and the energy in your feet. Slowly focus on your ankles and their energy of aliveness. Move up to your calves, noticing the energy there. Move upward into your thighs, then abdomen and fall backward into your heart chakras in the center of your chest. Meditating from your heart will connect you to your High Self and your Divine. Gradually, you will find it progressively easier to get into your heart with greater speed. Speed isn't the focus however. Be patient with yourself. It will get so much easier the more you practice.
  4. Using a mantra (several are listed below) repeat the mantra in your mind. Yes, you can say the mantra out loud, but gurus from India have told me that it is much more profound to repeat the mantra silently. I agree. You can count the number of times you repeat the mantra silently with mala beads. I use 108 repetitions, although I often go off into oblivion and lose track, which is the point of meditation. Don't drive yourself crazy counting. It removes you from the moment and takes your mind away from the bliss and purpose of meditation, quieting the mind.
  5. Without a mantra, you can just sit upright in silence and turn your focus inward. When I first began meditation I thought it was more spiritual to be out of your body - it isn't. Quite the opposite. When we are out of the body we are running away from ourselves. The point of being your own guru is to be focused inward. Go inside Grasshopper!
  6. Meditate in the morning before you leave for work or begin your day. When you do, you will find that you are more focused, calm, positive and happy. Meditate before sex for a more profound experience for both of you (or one of you, whichever the case may be).
  7. Always meditate sitting up. Meditation is not prayer. Prayer is asking or giving gratitude. Meditation is an opportunity for the Universe, God, The Divine to speak to you. The more meditation you do, the better connection you will have, the more insight that shows up in your life, the better your life becomes.
  8. Meditation is not work. Meditation is a profound connection with your high self, Source energy (God/The Divine/The Universe) all that is.
  9. Always notice as you sit down to meditate that you are upright, centered and relaxed. Relax your shoulders some more because I see them up around your ears. Relax! If you can't seem to get centered, remember to focus on slowly inhaling and exhaling.
  10. My animals know when it is time for me to meditate. They line up waiting to sit with me because they love the energy. If
animals feel it, think of what it can do for you!

Mantras

A mantra is a phrase that is repeated either out loud or silently. You can repeat a phrase all day long in the background of your mind to remove negative programming. I did it for over 8 years. It works! A mantra that is positive, life affirming and spiritually grounded will help you shift negative thinking and your energy. Here are a few that I have used and love:

  1. I LOVE ME!
  2. THE UNIVERSE LOVES ME.
  3. I AM LOVE.
  4. I AM WHOLE, PERFECT, STRONG, LOVING HARMONIOUS AND HAPPY.
  5. THE LIGHT OF THE DIVINE INSIDE ME LOVES ME.
  6. I AM THE LIGHT OF THE DIVINE INSIDE ME.
  7. The Moola Mantra (see video)
  8. The Gayatri Mantra (wonderful used by Hindu people for enlightenment) shifts your energy beautifully.

I just taped a fabulous show on BBS with Linzi Levinson, yesterday about the dissection of an orgasm and how meditation and sex do the same thing for the body and mind. These two shows will air in August, 2015. I invite you to check out Linzi's radio show and the archives, as I have been interviewed by her many times. Linzi and I have great chemistry together and she brings out the best in me on the air.

9 Reasons Men Cheat: Keeping Him Thrilled

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Biologically primal man was wired to "spray and pray." The spray and pray method to keep our species alive and thriving has been hard-wired (forgive the pun) into men's physiology for eons. Men can have sex once, and their work is done, a woman can be pregnant. He can then move onto the next conquest. Women carry a baby for nine months, our reproductive cycle is much slower. The primal man has been programmed to seek variety, mating with all types of women for the survival of the fittest.

Some men never rise above the urgings of the primal man programming. Not all men cheat. According to Kinsey's report from 1950, 50% of men seek partners outside of their relationship. Those statistics have not changed significantly since that time. According to Kat Hertlein, Ph.D., professor of human development at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas 40% of men seek extra-marital affairs.

Men in positions of power, wealth and fame cheat because they love the thrill, or variety and the freedom. People like Ben Affleck, Tiger Woods, Arnold Schwarzenegger, had a lot to lose but cheated in spite of the risk.

9 Reasons Why Men Cheat

1. The thrill of it. Men cheat because what they have at home is a known quantity. Many men want excitement and a hunt. He already caught you, and now needs to hunt for something different. Their spouse is a known quantity. You may be perceived as dull, humdrum, even predictable. There is no thrill in predictability.

2. Variety. Men like variety. Many get bored looking at and making love to the same partner day after day. Most men want a variety in both partners and activity. It is part of their primal programming. Maybe you used to give them blowjobs often before marriage, and now a penis won't grace your lips except for birthdays! If men aren't getting the type of sex from you that they like, they may go outside for it instead. Men who have evolved beyond their primal programming or take their commitment seriously won't cheat.

3. They cheat because they can (get away with it.) Most men think their women will never have a clue. It is pretty easy to hide. Take a shower, or wash up afterward. Travel to cities away from home. I have to say, that cheating on a psychic or highly intuitive person is folly. Every time a man has cheated on me I have known it immediately.

4. They rationalize that they have reasons to cheat. If their wife is bitchy, doesn't want sex or isn't into it, many men feel justified. If they aren't getting their needs met at home, they feel vindicated by having meaningless sex away from home.

5. Women at home aren't as attractive. Women often look very different after 20 years of marriage, children and life. Some women gain weight, lose interest in taking care of themselves and let themselves go. An attractive younger woman with a tight body can be the allure. Too often after years of living with the same man, we women can stop spending money on expensive lingerie, maybe we don't have the budget because we are paying for college. Whatever the reason, men like the sexiness of sleek new lingerie and a surprise every now and then.

6. Sex outside of marriage is easy. Affairs can be far simpler than dealing with a marriage partner. Without the emotional baggage, sex is often just sex, without any emotional involvement at all. Without kids to bathe, dogs to walk or dishes in the sink, affairs offer the freedom that marriage doesn't.

7. An affair is adventurous. Over time relationships can be void of anything out of the ordinary. Many men desire the adventure that sex outside of marriage offers.

8. Having sex with a stranger can be very exciting. If your sex life at home is anything but exciting, this could be just cause for a man to stray.

9. His father did it. DNA plays a significant role in whether a man is faithful or not. If his father was monogamous, it is likely he will be too. If his father stuck his wick in many ink bottles, he will too. Often what our parents modeled for us is what is replicated in our relationships.

What You Can Do To Keep Him Home

I talk about this frequently in my book, Orgasm For Life, as well as here on my blog: men need change. They like excitement and the thrill of the hunt. Here are some ways to create more excitement, delight and passion in your relationships to keep him wanting you more.

  1. Change it up. You have a shower, kitchen, dining room table, couch, and a floor, use them all. Having sex in the same bed
every time could become boring for the most orderly and OCD person.
  2. Travel. Going away together can be enough to create excitement. A beach can be a great turn on as vitamin D is needed to produce hormones in our bodies.
  3. Schedule time. In business, there is a rule of thumb, "If it isn't on the calendar, it won't happen." Although scheduling sex takes the spontaneity out of the equation, sex therapist Janice Epp, Ph.D., dean of the Institute for Advanced Studies of Human Sexuality in San Francisco recommends scheduled "sex time."
  4. Buy a wig. Men like to experience being with someone new. Wearing a wig or clothes you wouldn't normally wear could
make him feel like he is having sex with someone new.
  5. Talk about sex. Talking about your desires can shift your perspective and open the door to being more vulnerable, risk taking and creative about your experiences together.
  6. Talk about your fantasies. Everyone has fantasies about sex. If you don't get some! Fantasies can turn you both on, but you have to open up and share your thoughts.
  7. Go out to dinner and tell him you aren't wearing underwear. Let him know you are hot for him, tell him how amazingly sexy he is and how incredible he makes you feel. Sex begins in the brain talking before sex can turn you both on so you will be scrambling up the stairs once you get home.
  8. Role play. Dress up so that he doesn't see what you are wearing. Meet in a bar and pretend you don't know each other. Pretend to pick him up just to boink him. Oh come on, it's all good fun.
  9. Have sex in his car/truck. I remember driving out into a pasture with my husband and feeling in the mood. When I suggested
sex in the back seat, he jumped at the chance. It was probably the best quickie we ever had.
  10. Play a game like nude BINGO, or poker. Take an article of clothes off each time one of you loses. Have some fun!
  11. Take a salsa class together and go out dancing. Dance can be a
very sensual experience where you are close together but not able to have sex. When you are out in public, holding one another close, you can get turned on, feel the anticipation and excitement building that can make for an exciting love-making session once you do get home. You would be surprised how little you hold each other till you spend some time dancing. Early in our relationships, we lie naked together for hours, talking feeding each other and making love all day. Over time, a sexy afternoon may be the closest you get to the "goog old days!"

Boredom in a relationship is deadly. We have to be learning, growing together and making love regularly.  Staying intimate takes effort, desire, and connection. Robots are not intimate. If your relationship is robotic change something.

If you stop talking or stop having sex, you can regroup and recover with some effort. Love was once there. It still is, you just have to get out your feather duster, sandblaster and maybe a jackhammer to unlock the desire that needs to be fanned with your soft breath on his neck, or maybe his package to wake him out of his slumber.
