21 Quickie Life Hacks For Everyday Happiness

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Happy people have many things in common. They have encountered adversity and overcome it. They recognize that nothing that is worth having comes easily. They also have consistent habits that create daily happiness no matter what is happening.

Being happy isn't just about what you need to do, but what you need to stop doing so that you will feel happier. Happy people shift their focus. Happy people like to play.

When I was sixteen I knew that there had to be more to life than the rat race of life. I set about to change the way I felt about what I experienced. Shifting my focus has created not just happiness for me but ecstasy and bliss on a daily basis

Beginning today think differently about what you are experiencing. Instead of feeling that everyone is out to get you, focus on what you are being shown about yourself. Everything in our world is a reflection of what is going on inside of each of us. Every moment of every day is a gift, what do you do when someone gives you a gift?

Scientific Research recognizes that happy people are more productive, accomplish more and have much more joi de vive.

21 Life Hacks For Your Everyday Happiness:

1. Say thank you! Gratitude is the biggest thing missing from those who are unhappy. Instead of recognizing the lesson being given and the beauty of the moment we tend to wallow in self-pity when we are unhappy.

The truth is that everyone experiences difficulties. It is how we choose to react and process our challenges that will shift our experience.

Unhappy people tell everyone their story of woe looking for buy-in and support in their misery. After a breakup an unhappy person will continue to dwell on what the other person did to them, rather than look at what the relationship gave them as a gift and what they learned. Learning the lesson allows you to move on and choose something different the next time.

Happy people recognize that each event is just a lesson. They close the book on their past story and say,  "Thank you for my lesson" and wonder what they are supposed to learn?

2. Look up instead of down. When we are depressed or unhappy we tend to look down when we walk. We notice only the negative, the bumps, imperfections, and dirt. When we focus upward, or on the positive we see the open sky, new opportunities, and options. Looking up adopts a positive attitude knowing that there is a purpose in all that is happening. Positive thoughts create vibrant health.

When something falls apart, it is because something better is on its way. Optimism shifts our focus from the closed door and recognizes that a new door is opening with better opportunities.

3. Be kind. When we are kind to others we are also kinder toward ourselves. Serotonin increases in the brain when we act with kindness.

4. Smile. Science backs me up here, with evidence that our brain chemistry changes when we smile. A Duchenne Marker smile actually increases happiness. Duchenne studied smiles of all types. He found that when people smiled which caused crinkles around the corners of the eyes that they are smiling with their soul.

The left prefrontal cortex of the brain where the pleasure centers reside are activated even more so with a spontaneous smile than one that is faked.

5. Make Friends. High-quality relationships with a few people is one of the keys to happiness and longevity. A sense of security is developed with mutual assistance and support. An older person who is lonely has a 14% greater chance of premature death. The impact of being lonely has almost as great an impact on early death as being poor - 19% increase.

6. Participate. Life is a full-contact participatory sport that requires you to engage in social activities to be happy. If you have no network of friends or social activities, join a club. Bowling leagues, baseball, climbing, meditation, Oneness, hiking and travel groups offer networking activities. Join one today. Meet with your group regularly. Don't just sit on the sidelines of life - participate!

7. Breathe deeply. Deep breathing brings you into the present, affirms life and makes you feel grounded. It is so easy to remind yourself to breathe deeply each hour. Set a chime on your phone. No one needs to know what the reminder is.

8. Rescue a pet. There are thousands of unwanted dogs and cats that need homes. A rescued pet is grateful for a loving home and will love you in return. A pet can keep you company, greet you when you get home and helps dissolve loneliness. Watching, playing and communicating with a cat or a dog can help you feel more fulfilled. You are giving a rescued animal a home - it's a win-win for you both! A dog can encourage you to get outdoors so that you move and receive daily exercise.

9. Get out in the sunshine! Many people have developed fears of the sun. The sun is required for vibrant health, life and rejuvenation. There are benefits to being outside. The sun is required for vibrant health, life and rejuvenation. Without the sun people become depressed, are more prone to suicidal thoughts and negative behaviors such as looking to foods, sweets, drinking or drugs to soothe

10. Create A Healthy Daily Regimen. Get up at the same time and go to bed at the same time. Eat three meals a day that are four hours apart or less. A schedule will help you regulate natural hormones because you are getting enough sleep and food to support your health and function. Happy people take care of themselves because they know they are worth it.

11. Avoid Alcohol. Alcohol is a depressant. It might make you feel happy while you are drinking, but the day after your mood will drop and you may become depressed. Developing positive healthy habits, without drugs and alcohol helps to keep you feeling positive and happy.

13. Avoid Gossip. Talking negatively about others is something happy people just don't do. They focus on themselves and encourage rather than defame others.  Remember what goes around comes around; if you talk about others negatively, others will talk about you in the same way.

14. Stop Comparing. You are unique. There is no one else on this planet that has your gifts, talents, abilities or purpose. Recognize that being different is a gift. Focus on your uniqueness rather than comparing yourself to others. There will always be someone with a better body, more intelligence or something other than what you have. Comparing will always make you feel less than others. So stop it!

15. Don't Complain. Complaining dwells on the negative and will create more of the same for you. Instead, look for the silver lining in the situation. What are you learning here? How could shift your focus so that you find the beauty in the moment?

16. Move Your Body! Movement is what our body needs to feel happy. If we sit all day at work, only walk a few steps to our car and then sit on our couch or chair all evening our body won't be happy. Our health suffers from a sedentary lifestyle. Your chair is not your friend! Get off that couch and dance, walk or swim. Do an exercise to music so that you feel happy while doing it.

17. Play happy Music. Music will shift your mood quickly. I have been around people prone to depression and found that their musical selections are also sad, depressing tunes. Choose music that makes you feel happy, rather than sad. Music will shift your mood very quickly.

18. Surround Yourself With Happy People. Just like surrounding yourself with wealthy people helps you be wealthy, surrounding yourself with happy people helps your be happier. When you are around happy people, you will find your thoughts, words and emotions are more positive, uplifting and focused on happy things.

19. Enjoy Beauty.  A very simple way to have a happier life is to focus on the beauty around you. Begin to notice flowers, trees, landscaping that is beautifully arranged. The earth abounds with beauty. Beauty will help you feel happy. Stop, sniff the roses along your path.

20. Give Others Compliments. When you begin to be generous with heartfelt compliments you will find you feel happier. Others love to be noticed for their new haircut, fit arms or their beautiful smile. Make sure you mean what you say. Noticing the beauty in others will also help you see the beauty within.

21. Choose Happiness. Every day we have a choice. We can wake up and allow ourselves to be in a bad mood, focusing on everything wrong in our lives. OR we can choose to focus on the good, the beautiful and the wonderful gifts that surround us daily. Choosing happiness is the biggest thing you can do for yourself on a daily basis. I choose to be happy, what do you choose for you?

5 Steps To Self Love

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

It is possible to go through a whole lifetime without self love. When we do we feel lonely, empty and often depressed. Isn't it time for you?

If you aren't happy with your life, your relationships and where you are, the issue lies within. It is not your job, your relationship, car or money that will bring you lasting happiness. Nothing material can fulfill you permanently. Lack of self love leads to a feeling of not being good enough, not having the success you feel you should and not having relationships that fulfill you. Humans spend most of their lives searching for what will bring them happiness and it is no further away than their own heart.

For years, I struggled with guilt, shame, lack consciousness and relationship issues. It wasn't that I didn't have relationships, I have had more than my fair share. I had the babies I dreamed of having after the weddings I dreamed of and still wasn't happy. I was in my 50's before it all came together miraculously.

It isn't your weight, your job, your relationship or your children that will make you happy. No amount of trying to use drugs, thrills or sex will fulfill you, if you don't love yourself. You like me, will feel fulfilled, have lasting happiness and joy when you do. Here are the steps I took to love myself. If it worked for me, I know it will work for you.

5 Steps To Self Love

  1. PUT THE FOCUS ON YOU. Get to know yourself on a deep level. Write a description of who you are (come from your heart not your intellect). What do you like about you? What do you not like about you? What do you wish was different. What do you LOVE to do? What makes you happy? What are you passionate about? Instead of looking at your partner when you get upset about something turn your focus inward. What does this situation remind you of?
  2. Forgive EVERYONE. The fastest and most profound way to forgive is to use the Ho'oponopono prayer. You don't need an apology from the other person. This is all about you. Forgiving always needs to be done for you first. Then spend time saying the prayer for the other people, one at a time. The prayer is below. Forgiving others is not about the other person, but about you. Forgiving others will disengage you. It will stop the leaking of your precious energy to others. It helps to cut and repair the ties.
  3. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS< WORDS< ACTIONS. Taking responsibility for yourself means you stop blaming others for your unhappiness. You take your power back by being responsible for yourself. No one else can make you happy but you. All you have to do is decide. Say YES! to yourself. Say YES! to being HAPPY.
  4. BE POSITIVE. Beginning right now stop saying and thinking negative things about you and others. If God would not say those things to you, why do you? Like any fitness program it takes diligence and practice. Believe me changing from negative to positive will change everything from your health to your relationships. Use a positive mantra or affirmation like, I LOVE ME, to replace the negative thoughts. You didn't get here over night, it will take time, but it is so worth it! This alone could save your life. Negativity can kill you. (It leads to disease and cancer in the body.) Resentment can kill you (it is the cause of cancer). Anger can kill you (it causes high blood pressure and heart disease).
  5. SEE THE GIFT IN THE PAST. Each relationship we have had has taught us a lesson. Recognizing that the experiences we had were just lessons rather than mistakes help you recognize that you have not done anything wrong. Making yourself wrong or bad does not serve you. Instead lovingly accept that these experiences taught you something and as long as you are alive you will continue to learn more about you. You are a work in progress. Express your gratitude for the lesson learned. As soon as you can be grateful for what you have experienced your perspective about life shifts in a big way. Your whole purpose here on earth is to grow and evolve. We all do this by learning. Feeling shame or guilt about what we have done does not serve us or anyone else. Let it go. It was a lesson and a gift be GRATEFUL.
Ho'oponopono Prayer

I am sorry
Please forgive me
I love you
Thank you

Spend some time thinking about the things you have done to others and yourself before doing the prayer. Forgive yourself first. Spend about 20 minutes or more saying the prayers slowly. The thank you is expressing your gratitude for the lesson learned and the experience. It may not be something you THINK you need to do but it releases you powerfully from attachment to others. I gave this prayer to my daughter (15 at the time) to forgive her father. She had a lot of anger and resentment towards her Dad for not allowing her to live with me full time. She spent 40 minutes doing this prayer, cried, released a lot. She came out of her bedroom and told me her third eye (in the center of the forehead where we get visions through - opened). This is a powerful prayer. Meant to be done slowly. Allowing emotions to surface. Cry. Feel your emotions. They need to move. Stuck emotions cause depression and health issues.

There Is No Such Thing As An ACCIDENT!

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

 Everything Happens For A Reason

Yesterday, for the first time in many years I was involved in a car accident. This is the first time since my awakening that I have experienced one. My reaction was one of calmness; witnessing, without reaction, without fear, knowing I was safe, protected and moreover, there was an underlying reason.

I live in the desert where we celebrate when we see clouds and have parties when it rains. The weather here is very consistent. The one thing we can count on in the desert is a sunny cloudless sky. Yesterday was no exception.

Mojave desert, California

Why then, was there an accident on dry pavement with no other cars on the road? It was set up and orchestrated by The Universe. It was actually a win-win event. The Universe loves when both parties win by learning something. Sometime ago, I had asked for a way to get my car repaired without cost to me. Over 8 months ago, an errant shopping cart scraped the side of my pristine Honda in a Walmart parking lot (yes I shop there on occasion.) The scrape bothered me. Because I put attention on it, I scraped it up further one afternoon backing out of our yard. I was distracted by my cell phone ringing (something I preach about often). I did not notice I had gotten too close to the gate as I crunched the same spot above my rear wheel well.

Whenever we put energy on something with our thoughts we expand it. We create more of the same. This is a perfect example of putting negative thought into something that was already not good and making matters worse. So now you know my secret, I am not as perfect as one might think! (That was my attempt at humor). We are all works in progress, learning from each experience we have. The key is to learn.

Since that time, I did not run into another fence or gate. I have been much more careful getting out of tight spaces. I drive the speed limit now. I leave myself enough time to arrive in plenty of time. I have learned through my past experience, mostly.

Yesterday as I drove northbound on Sierra Highway, a two lane secondary road that snakes through the desert endlessly. The Sierra highway has a long history, dating back to the early 1900s built as a trail. It runs from Los Angeles to Lake Tahoe. Read more about the history of Sierra highway here. After dropping Ariel at school, I was again distracted by my cell phone. My friend William was texting me. Although I did not respond to his text, I read it before tossing it into my purse in the seat next to me. My head was down for only a second or two, no more. In that amount of time, my car was pushed almost off the road with an impact that sounded like a sonic boom. Living in the desert, we hear those often.

There were no other cars on the road ahead or in the oncoming lane. The car seemed to come from out of nowhere. When asked, the woman who hit me, interestingly did not see me either. She had been stopped at a stop sign, on her cell phone (see the mirroring here?). She pulled out crossing the oncoming lane to make contact with my car. There was no one else in sight.

When the driver of the other car stopped. She left her car protruding into the lane of traffic. I had to suggest that she pull ahead and off onto the shoulder for safety. Her actions and reactions were totally unconscious, like she was sleeping with her eyes opened. She was on her cell phone even after the accident. The cell phone only left her ear to dial another number. Even when the highway patrol officer showed up, she continued to stay on her cell phone. The whole time we were stopped exchanging information she was on her cell phone. She was distracted, fragmented and ungrounded. She could not breathe. I had to help her calm down as her blood pressure was rising. She appeared to be about 26 - 28 years old. She had 4 names on her documentation and was currently divorced.

No one was hurt. Not even my dogs, Karma and our new little puppy, Yoda (who was safe on the floor). My air bags did not deploy. My car was still driveable, as was the other woman's car. The driver of the "other" car was driving with a suspended licence. She had borrowed her boyfriend's car to go pick up her 3 small children. She was unemployed. When we exchanged information, the woman was hyperventilating. She was in abject fear. She had already been arrested for driving without a license and her car was impounded. I did not blame or condemn her. I only asked why she was driving with a suspended license?

Why did this happen?

Good question Grasshopper! This accident happened for many reasons. The Universe sends us messages through lessons. If we learn the lesson, we move on, graduate and don't have to repeat the lesson. If we choose to be stupid, stubborn or have our head's up our butts, we will have to repeat the grade, take another final exam and then once we pass by learning and stopping the behavior we get to graduate! Learning is the key ingredient.

The parallels between this young woman and myself except for skin color were quite remarkable. However, nothing is beyond the power of The Universe/ Source. Here they are:

  1. We were both were female.

  2. We both had 3 children.

  3. We both had been married 4 times.

  4. We were both distracted by our cell phones.

  5. We were both doing something illegal.

  6. This was not the first time that both had been warned by either police or The Universe about being on our cell phones while driving.

  7. Neither of us were hurt.

  8. Both of our cars were driveable after the accident.

Lessons Are Here To Teach Us Something

Driving while using a cell phone in the state of California is illegal. There is a reason it is illegal. It is dangerous. We both have children that learn from our behavior. My daughter is about to be driving herself. How can I tell my daughter not to talk on her cell phone or text while driving if I am not teaching by example? This parallel could be expressed in other ways, if we lie, we can't expect our children not to lie. If we cheat on our partners, we can't expect our partners not to cheat on us. If we don't love and accept ourselves, we can't others to love and accept ourselves. Energy always moves in a circle. Whatever we send out comes back to us, without exception.

The Universe likes win-win situations. I learned something valuable yesterday. I was able to see the gift in the accident. I was getting my car fixed by one of the best insurance companies in the country. USAA is the Holy Grail of insurance companies. My car was still drivable. I was not hurt. I learned my lesson without a financial cost, which is my request of The Universe.

I will not use my cell phone while driving again. I recognize how distracted we get by reading a text, or even talking on the phone. I do not want to put anyone else in danger with my behavior. The woman was using her boyfriend's car. Not only will his insurance go up, but she has to answer to him for the accident. Her lesson was a more difficult and more long-lasting one. Her children could have been in the car, thankfully they were not. Did she learn not to talk on her cell phone while driving? I don't know and it is none of my business. If she didn't there will be another more difficult lesson for her down the road. The Universe will teach her. It is not up to me.

The Lessons Get Harder

When we don't learn our lessons, we will repeat them again and again. Only, the lessons become more difficult. They often hurt us more or have more profound results. In my case, not learning from an abusive relationship and not healing my issues completely led to another more abusive relationship, where the losses were greater. We have to heal our core issues. If we feel like a victim, we will be victimized. If we feel unworthy, we will attract someone who treats us as if we are unworthy. They may cheat on us, or leave us because they feel we are not good enough for them.

These are all lessons I have learned through my own healing. Looking outside of ourselves for acceptance and validation that never arrives is because we don't feel worthy ourselves. How much longer will you continue to struggle in pain and suffering? Isn't it time to hire a healed coach. One that has been there and mastered her own issues of Self. I used to be in conflict. I felt ashamed, depressed, ungrounded and unfulfilled. I constantly looked for love and acceptance outside of me. I no longer need another to fulfill me. I am fulfilled by myself through my relationship with myself and connection to Source (God). I help women to achieve complete self acceptance so that success and love no longer alludes them. Having complete self acceptance means you will attract others who love and accept themselves. You will stop settling for less than you deserve just to have a relationship. Is Life An Illusion?

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Did Roger Ebert experience heaven the days before his death?

I just read this article above about Roger Ebert (I have provided the link). It was sweet and engaging. If you have any question about whether heaven does or does not exist, I suggest you read it. Roger had nothing to prove. He only shared his experience with his wife. He did not profit from his observation in any way.

I recently had an experience that was unique. I have written about this experience in several different blogs. One I wrote about "Farewell to Rich Resuta" and "Loving Yourself Cancer Free."

I am a channel as well as a life coach. My ex husband had asked me some questions in May of 2011. I told him that "the infection/abscess in your gum is gone, but wait, I am hearing there is more. The infection has traveled to your heart and the antibiotics you are taking are a shot-gun approach and not effective. You need to get a focused antibiotic to combat this infection that has traveled to your heart." I went on to say, that the job he was doing was physically too strenuous and stressful (working in the oil fields of North Dakota with men in their 20s. He was the oldest there at 52.

I recently had a similar experience to the one Rich had when he chose to continue along the tunnel of light. I found a breast lump and was in the process of healing it naturally. I had a John of God healing and was doing prayer work among other things. I felt exhausted and had to go to bed in the middle of the afternoon, which was very unusual for me. I fell asleep as if in a coma. As I began to wake (in that state of in between neither fully awake or asleep) I saw myself walking down a tunnel of light. I was accompanied by two beings that I could not see but I felt behind me. Ahead was this brilliant light. I could FEEL people awaiting my arrival.

At first I thought it was just a dream. I thought I was getting to experience what heaven would feel like without having to stay. My daughter had just lost her father less than a year before. I was not afraid to die, as a matter of fact, this state was peaceful, blissful and joy filled. I asked, "What about Ariel? I can't leave her without any parents. She hasn't fully recovered from the death of her father, this could devastate her!" As soon as I said that I was rushed out of the tunnel in a whoosh! Like I was backed out.
I lay in bed feeling disoriented and wondering why it happened? I realized that we are often offered an EASY WAY OUT.

Sometimes our lives are challenging and death seems easier. I am not one that feels that way. I have endured many challenges. I have endured much pain and suffering. My suffering is over. I am here to help others. I knew I needed to heal the breast cancer and be here to support my daughter and do the work I was brought here to do. The breast cancer is gone and I am still very much alive. I have a purpose. I am here to fulfill that purpose. Each and everyone on this planet is here for a reason.

The walk through the tunnel felt like, "How committed to this work are you? How committed to support your children and others are you?" There is another way. We don't have to be here if we don't want to be. Yet, it is not the easy way out. We will just have to return again and again until we "get it."

He went back to his dentist and the dentist told him the antibiotic was fine. He died in his sleep two months later, with a smile on his face. He came to me that night and told me that, "a door simply opened and he walked through." Rich's life had been a struggle. He was burdened with rage and being abusive towards women, just like his father was. He tried to get beyond this but was not able to. He and I tried seven times to reconcile, because I knew he was a good man, underneath the rage. Each time we did, he went back to old behavior and even asked me why that was the case. His father's behavior seemed to be imprinted in his soul, as if in his DNA.

Each experience we have is just that. It is in our lives to teach us something. We can choose to suffer or we can choose to use it as what it is intended for. We can learn and grow from the experience. When we resist the lesson, we fight God and The Universe. We fight our learning process. When we resist, we suffer. It is very simple. I help people move out of suffering into learning and growing. When we begin to express gratitude for each lesson, we have truly healed.

The suffering is like the energizer bunny. He moves forward even when he should be sitting still and observing. He pushes his energy no matter what. He pushes bad situations. He does not learn from past experiences. (Just like I used to and so many of us do).

When we recognize that the experience is just a teaching tool, we can remove our ego, our pain and our suffering from the experience and learn and grow. If we don't another situation that looks different and might even feel different, but the lesson is still the same. Until we reach a point of no longer needing the lesson, we learn from it instead.

For example, I learned that I have a tendency to attract addictive personalities and abusive men. I did this because my father was abusive and had an addictive personality. It is what I learned in early childhood. I mimicked what I was taught in my childhood home. I was abused, so I was trained to feel unworthy. I attracted men who would treat me as if I was unworthy, until I realized that I am already worthy. This unworthiness is just an illusion!

We all come here with lessons to learn. Mine were self love and self acceptance. I used to feel I needed to have a man to feel and be complete. Now I know that could not be further from the truth. I am fine alone. I am happy alone. This is where we create from. When we feel already good enough. Already loved. Already connected to The Divine Source of all that is. Feeling fully present, connected happy alone. We then are available to help others find their center, their inner peace and be free of the suffering as well.

Just my take on heaven, and life here. Once we get it, we help others get it also. It is never just about us. It is about us being part of the whole and helping the whole "get it."

Jennifer is currently completing her second book, Orgasm for Life. The purpose of this book is to bridge the gap between men and women. Most of us end up angry after several divorces, blaming the other and not able to recover fully to be able to give and  receive love. This book bridges the gap so that we can communicate with each other in loving ways. The more open and honest our communication is, the happier we all are. Women fake it. Men don't understand why. I teach you how to please your partner without guilt or shame.

Sex is a natural part of love and life. If you feel called to support this work, my Indiegogo crowd funding link is here. If you can contribute $!, $10 or $100 I appreciate you. Thank you. http://igg.me/at/Orgasmforlife/x/5470259

What is Relationship Karma? Does Everyone Experience It?

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

The law of Karma is associated with the law of Cause and Effect. Karma lets us know that nothing is a secret, and our actions will return to us in some form. The purpose of karma is to teach, rather than punish as many would believe. How does it work? How does karma relate to Twin Flames, (Part II of Twin Flames) soul mates and relationships?

How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours. ~Wayne Dyer

What is karma?

The easiest way to describe karma is: What goes around comes around.

OR:

What you give you so shall you get in return.

Karma is a Sanskrit word that works with the Universal Law of Cause and Effect; everything that we say and do has energy that creates ripples out into our world that affects our lives.  I like to think of karma as events that come full circle.

As she has planted, so does she harvest; such is the field of karma.  ~Sri Guru Granth Sahib

Relationship karma can be found with our family members, Soulmates and in relationships with many people, we interact with.  Not all relationships contain karma. Karmic relationships can be completed in this lifetime. Karma is cleared when we learn our lessons

When we have sex with someone, we take on their karma.

What Happens When Karma Is Completed?

When we complete our karma with one person it can mean we never see or hear from them again. I experienced this type of completion with my last husband. He cheated, lied about who he was and his sexuality, which completed our karma from a previous incarnation. In a previous lifetime, I did something similar to him.

Though our divorce was amicable, once our divorce was final there was nothing left. There was no need to call there was no energy, no triggers, just the love that was once there. I cried for months without contacting him. I never heard from him again. He did not learn from this lesson and repeated it again. There was so much pain for me, I learned my lesson, healed, forgave and moved on without repeating old behavior.

Can You Stay Together After Karma is Cleared?

The answer is YES! However, you must have a joint Spiritual goal to help humanity in some big way. Together you must create a way to assist others evolve. You could create a healing center together. You could teach classes. Or like Angelina Jolie help children around the world.

Karma Is About Getting It Right

Karma is to teach us about old patterns like drama or trauma in our relationships. We meet each other again and again till we get it right. Learning the lesson allows us to move on, like a graduation of sorts in our evolution.

Rinse and Repeat or Choose Differently

We always have the right to choose whether we want to endure the suffering in a relationship to complete the karma or not. We might complete the karma in one relationship with someone in another. We may choose to avoid dealing with a Soul Mate type of relationship due to the deep healing and upheaval that can occur.

Worthless people blame their karma. ~Burmese Proverb

Can You Create Karma Where There Was No Karma?

You can create karma by cheating, mistreating another person or causing harm in some way. All karma must be evened out - eventually. The question is will it happen sooner or later?

Why Some People Get Their Karma Faster

Depending on how evolved someone is when they are born, they may find their karma is in their face as fast as they can say, GOTCHA!

My oldest son and daughter both have their karma at the speed of light. As soon as they cheat on someone - someone cheats on them. If they turn the wrong way on a one-way street or at a light that isn't the right color, they are immediately stopped by the police.

Others seem to be able to get away with murder. I assure you, this is only for the short-term.
Dating A Committed or Married Person

When we go after someone who is not ours to take, there is karma. We are the third person in a relationship meant for two. If we cheat on another, someone will cheat on us. It may not be in this lifetime, but it will happen.

If you cheat on your partner, someone will cheat on you. If you abuse your partner, someone will abuse you.

We never know when or how our karma will show up. It could be in this lifetime, or our next. No matter when it is, the one thing you can be sure of is that you will have to deal with your karma at some point.

Good Karma

If you are kind, generous loving and caring you are putting KARMA POINTS in the karma bank. Like a deposit karma points are positive. The more loving, generous and compassionate you are, the more happiness you receive and more will be given to you.

We are reincarnated with the same soul group so that we have the ability to clear and resolve our karma.

Thoughts lead on to purposes; purposes go forth in action; actions form habits; habits decide character; and character fixes our destiny. ~Tyron Edwards

Karma Busting Mantra

This mantra will clear the subtle psychic vibrations of karma from your throat chakra. Thiru Neela Kantam (pronounced Tee-Ru Nee-La Kan-Tam). Every day chant this mantra silently or out loud for three minutes. You will change your life for the better. Please read the caution below.

BEWARE!

Be careful to do this gently. I know someone who did this mantra all day for three days straight and had his life fall apart, from relationships to business. Your intention is to improve your life for the better.

How a Break-up Can Be A GOOD Thing

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters
Angry couple

A break-up can be the best thing that ever happened.

A broken heart is one of the most painful experiences a human can have. It hurts. It feels as if the world is ending. Your world as you know it certainly is. The more vested you were in the relationship the more it hurts.

Sometimes we are half in a relationship. We feel certain that there is someone else out there that is more suited to us than the person we are with. If you have been unfaithful in your relationship, this was probably the case. When you are fully vested and committed affairs are not the norm. When only partially vested, we see the benefit of the break-up, the change happened and was taken care of for us.  When we are fully vested, we are fully committed and feel that the person we were with was THE ONE. Losing this person could totally change your life.

If everything you have ever dreamed of, all your future goals involved your partner, losing them means that your life is going to be radically different. Your dream of having children together and growing old together is gone. Sadness and loss will be experienced deeply. It is important to allow yourself time to really release them. There is always positive and negative in a relationship. Sometimes there is more negative than positive. Looking into what you learned afterward can be very cathartic. Focusing on the gift in the break-up can help you move forward. Each relationship teaches us something about ourselves. Focusing blame on one party does not take into account that there were two people in the relationship. There is always a lesson learned. Being grateful for the time together and the lesson will help you move on.

There are NO MISTAKES, only lessons

Each relationship is a lesson. When we begin to look at the experience as something that helped us grow, and see ourselves in a different light, we begin to understand the purpose of our relationships. Change is a constant. People change. Relationships change. We change. Expecting a relationship to last forever is a fairy tale. Even in a healthy beautiful supportive relationship, there is death at the end that separates us. Seeing the perfection in each moment, that everything is happening as it needs to, in the perfect time.

Acceptance

Allowing our partner to be who they are, rather than trying to change them is a loving act. Sometimes at the end of our relationship experience we recognize that we did not accept our partner completely as they were. We are able to see what we have learned from this experience. We have grown and learned what our patterns are. We have learned our weaknesses and strengths. We also gain clarity about what we want and don't want in our next relationship. Writing down our must haves and drop dead will not haves helps us notice our patterns when we begin to date. If we continue to attract the same type of person in our next relationship it is because we have not healed our issues. We have more work to do. Relationships are all about focusing on our inner selves. This is how we grow and become our highest and best version of us.

When a door closes, a window opens

If you have considered moving to a different country or state, now is a good time to make a clean break. You can start brand new, with a new career, new friends, new environment where nothing reminds you of the other person. You will always have memories, but not running into this person can help you focus on healing and moving on.

Challenges are Opportunities

The ending of a relationship can be a wake-up call. We recognize the areas where we need help or support. We can do a post mortem of our relationship and see where we could have done better. Sometimes, we give too much of ourselves and don't recognize it until our relationship ends. When we give too much we lose ourselves and then feel resentful.

Being a people pleaser is part of co-dependence. Co-dependent relationships occur when one or both parties put aside their personal needs and put the relationship ahead of everything else. This is a great time to hire a coach to clear up the issues and challenges that have plagued all your relationships. Healing the past will change the future. Use this time to get to know yourself on a deeper level.

Spending Time Alone Can Be The Biggest Gift

Time alone will help you to heal. Solitude after a break up gives you time to search your soul. You can look back at the events that led up to the demise of your relationship and see where you weren't true to yourself. Often we change ourselves to be more of what we think our partner would want us to be. When we act like our partner wants us to, we are not authentic. When we are inauthentic, we put our own needs aside, but moreover it is exhausting. Trying to be someone other than who you are is not healthy. The more authentic you can be, the more intimate your next relationship will be.

The biggest personal growth happens after a break up. Take the time to write, dig deep and look inside to see where you were not true to yourself? Did you give too much? Did you give up friends, family or a job? Don't jump into bed with the next live body you see to drown your sorrow and grief. This could lead to another relationship when you have not even begun to heal from this one. For every two years in the relationship you need one year to heal. If you enter into another relationship before you have time to heal and recover you will attract another lonely, empty person. Two lonely empty people do not create a good relationship.

Abuse

Leaving an abusive relationship can be very difficult. Be thankful that you got away safely. There are two people in an abusive relationship. One is the victim and one is the perpetrator. If you are a victim, you have work to do and issues to heal. Jumping right into another relationship will bring you another relationship with similar issues. You have to do inner work and get some help to recognize where you did not respect yourself. A coach that is familiar with abuse, or had abuse in their own past and has recovered would be beneficial for you. If you were the abuser, you also have issue to heal and work to do. This is deep work and very difficult to do on your own.

Forgiveness

When you are ready, you need to forgive yourself and your partner. Holding onto unresolved pain, anger and betrayal will attract it into your next relationship. I recommend a simple Kahuna healing prayer to forgive. Always begin with yourself when you are doing any kind of healing. Forgive yourself first. Spend about 20 - 40 minutes repeating the prayer thinking about the situation. Do the prayer slowly. When you feel complete stop. Come back and do the exercise again and again until you no longer feel a negative charge (or trigger).

I am sorry
Please forgive me
I love you
Thank you

Here are some ways to help you move on peacefully:
  1. Return and amicably split up belongings.
  2. Let go of anything that brings up painful memories.
  3. Delete them as friends on social media. Seeing posts from your partner can be very difficult, better that you let them go.
  4. Avoid phone calls and texting your partner unless absolutely necessary. Don't call them asking advice.
  5. If anyone asks, be kind don't bad mouth your ex.
  6. Take time for yourself - nurture yourself or go to the gym.
  7. Write in your journal. Expressing your feelings as you experience them, on paper will help release them. Your notes will help you to see how far you have come.
  8. Spend time with supportive friends.
  9. Eat healthy and get enough sleep.
  10. Stay busy. Do the things you put off and were too busy to do before.
  11. Recognize that everything happens for a reason and it is over. Thinking about reconciling at this time will bring you false hopes. LET IT GO.
  12. Spend time doing things you enjoy.
  13. Allow yourself time to cry. If you are feeling anger, allow yourself time to go to the top of a mountain, or a place away from others and do some cathartic screaming. You have to move these emotions in a healthy way or depression will result. Depression is the result of stuffed pain, with repressed anger on top.

If you have not risked everything, you have not loved completely.
