Are You Triggered By Your Partner

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

When our partner triggers us and we get angry or upset, we are the one with the issue. Yes, it is so much more fun to blame someone else rather than take responsibility for what we feel, but the truth is the truth. When we have a reaction, it is our issue, not our partner's. Who installed the triggers? Was it our partner? No. The people who installed the triggers are our parents, bless their little hearts!

Feel like you can't do this alone? Why not set up your personal discovery session with Jennifer to see if her work is a good fit and you would be a perfect client for her.

Feel Happy No Matter What

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Years ago, I felt like a victim when I did I attracted men who victimized me and was unable to manifest. We are disempowered when we are victims. We feel our lives are out of control. I've changed this stance and have come to recognize why things happen the way they do; everything does happen for a reason.

Are you breathing deeply? Do you feel your life is out of control? Are your emotions running your life? I get it. I was there too at one time. My life was out of control, and I lived in constant fear. We block ourselves with these negative emotions.

We worry about what others think of us, and our negative emotions cripple us. We work to please others, our boyfriends, children, husbands, wives, and friends, when we do, we feel lost, broken and don't know who we are anymore. I was there too for years.

The relationship we have with ourselves is the most important one in our life. If we are filled with self-loathing and low self-esteem, we aren't standing in our personal power. We are meant to be happy with ourselves self-criticism is defeating and disempowering.

We worry about what other people think about us.
We turn ourselves inside out to "get" others to like and love us.
There is no stretch to being authentic, it is just who you truly are.

We have to train our unconscious mind, or it runs amok. When we allow our unconscious mind to run wildly, it is like being in a boat without a rudder. When a boat doesn't have a rudder, it runs around in circles. We have to tell our unconscious mind what to do with our conscious thoughts.

I love me.
I am lovely inside out.
I love the way I look.
My body is at the perfect weight.
I love and approve of myself.

Even if these mantras don't feel true, the unconscious mind feels it is true. The unconscious mind believes everything we tell it.

I am a millionaire
Money comes to me easily and effortlessly
Money loves me.
People love to pay me money!

The more you love you, the more you will grow to trust yourself. You are worth trusting. We have to quiet the emotions. I help people to alleviate the crazy and wild emotions that run the show. When our emotions are running amok, they also run our lives. You are not a victim. We have to take responsibility for ourselves and our personal happiness. No one else can give it to us.

My body is at the perfect weight.
My good comes to me easily.
My life is getting better and better every day.
I trust myself.
I am worthy of love.
I am deserving.
I am enough.

Do You Make Everyone Else's Happiness Your Responsibility?

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

I remember Christmas when my children were little. I was careful to buy equal priced gifts for each child. No matter how hard I tried, my oldest son always felt disappointed. Even when I spent more on him, he felt disappointed, as if I could never give him enough.

I felt my stomach sink each year as the presents were unwrapped and the bows and ribbons picked up and thrown away. I made my son's happiness my responsibility. I used to be so concerned about what others thought and how they felt about me

When we put conditions on our happiness, we block our ability to be happy. Sometimes we are self-destructive and don't even know it, which leads to even more challenges in our lives.

When we make statements like the following:

  • I'll be happy when ______________(I'm in a relationship, am at the perfect weight, have the perfect job, have _____ money, move to a different location.
  • We'll be happy when we're married.
  • We'll be happy when we have a (or another) baby.
  • I'll be happy when all my family is together.
  • I'll be happy when I'm retired.
  • I'll be happy when I can have sex.
..... we block our happiness.

Happiness comes from you, not an outside circumstance. When we don't love ourselves completely, we place conditions on our happiness. We make other's happiness our responsibility. No amount of presents will fill someone up that is running on empty. Love has to come from within to fill us up and make us feel loved.

The Truth

No one can else make us happy. Happiness doesn't come from material things like a house, new car or clothes. Material things bring us fleeting rushes, but not permanent happiness. A relationship might bring excitement to you at first, but if you aren't happy with you first, it can bring you more pain.

Thinking that making others happy will bring you happiness is putting their happiness ahead of yours. Each person is responsible for being happy with themselves. Happiness comes from being happy with who we are as we are.

How Do We Get Past This?

I understand, I really do. For half of my life, I was miserable with low self-esteem, anxiety, depression and a slew of failed relationships. Because I didn't respect myself, others didn't respect me either. I attracted men who wouldn't value me because I didn't value myself. I didn't love me and lived in denial of that fact, so the men I loved cheated. I kept attracting men who were emotionally unavailable because I was also. It was far easier to point out the other person's flaws and faults than to see my own.

Since I grew up with criticism in my household, I was critical of myself and others. It wasn't until I was told how negative I was that I began to see how crippling my thoughts and words to myself were. It took an outsider to make me aware of how I was creating my world.

The Magic of Self Love

Our outer world is a magical mirror that reflects our innermost unconscious thoughts back to us. Until we begin to awaken, we don't notice how much damage we create to ourselves with the words and thoughts we think.

How I Work With You

There are several ways I can help you to move beyond anxiety, depression, and unhappiness. Energy work, healing your field and removing the patterns and blocks to love, or hypnotherapy sessions. In my coaching sessions, I use all of my tool boxes, of The Akashic Records, coaching, intuition, healing, energy and hypnotherapy. In two hypnotherapy sessions, I can help you permanently change the way you feel about yourself. Hypnotherapy is a powerful healing modality that reprograms the unconscious mind to think in positive instead of negative ways.

Beliefs

Our beliefs created from early childhood traumatic events govern our adult life unless we change them. Beliefs could be:

  • I am unlovable
  • I am unworthy
  • I am not valuable
  • I am not heard
  • I am not respected
  • I am not worth loving
  • No one will ever love me
  • People will reject me

Begin Today With A Mantra To Heal Your Mind

I am strong, powerful, harmonious, loving and happy!

I am lovable
I am worthy
I am loved
I am safe
I am secure

We can only make ourselves happy. Working on our inner self is the key to being happy with our outer world. I wish you the happiest of holidays whether you celebrate Kwanza, Christmas, Hannuka or Hajj, and so much love!

Work with Jennifer to find the love inside of you so that you can have the relationship of your dreams. Whether you are currently in a relationship or not, Jennifer will help you find the love wherever you are helping you shift your perspective to be happy and fulfilled.
I love you!

Why You Shouldn't Do Cartwheels To Keep Someone

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

In my love and happiness coaching, I see all kinds of behavior where women will do anything to try and keep a guy that is clearly not worthy and often not interested. I have done it in the past myself. When we attempt to manipulate, change, and hang onto someone by changing who we are or explaining bad behavior away there is no possible way this relationship can work.

Attempting to hang onto someone who is walking away makes you needy, clingy and very unattractive.  Confidence is infinitely more attractive to a partner than neediness. A relationship will never work if you have the attitude that you will do whatever it takes to change yourself to keep another person. Being inauthentic will make you very unhappy and will destroy the relationship.

When someone shows you who they are, believe them! ~Maya Angelou

You Might Be Doing Cartwheels To Keep Them If:

  1. Thinking that if or when he gets off drugs or alcohol things will be better is putting your happiness on the backburner. You can't make anyone want to give up their addiction. You may be addicted to love.
  2. You think your love will cure whatever is ailing the other; it never will.
  3. Explaining away bad behavior away is disrespectful to yourself. Love yourself enough to let someone who treats you badly go.
  4. You wish for things to be different. If you have thoughts like, "if only.....  he would......" let him go. (This is true unless you have extremely high expectations of your relationship and partner.) Perfectionistic people tend to expect their partner to be perfect and no one is. We all have issues and faults. No relationship will ever be totally free of conflict. We are individuals with our own personalities and ways of doing things. No two people will be exactly the same. We have to allow each other to be true to ourselves.
  5. You don't talk about what is bothering you. If you allow someone to treat you like a doormat walk all over your feelings, expect you to do everything to keep the relationship working without communicating your needs means you are doing cartwheels to keep them. Work on your self-esteem so that you stop allowing others to mistreat you. Until you do work on yourself you will continue to attract bad behavior because you allow yourself to be mistreated.
  6. You are a people pleaser. When you turn yourself inside out doing cartwheels to please someone else you will be unhappy with the outcome. You put your personal needs ahead of the relationship and the other person, which subjugates your happiness.
  7. Expect the other person to make you happy. Another person can't fill the void within you. Looking for someone else to make you happy places too much responsibility on the other person and is an impossible no-win situation.

If your partner has been disrespectful, hurtful, cheated, lied or just become indifferent to you and who you are, let him go. If they have an anger issue, addictions or are disrespectful to you, it is time to get some help. Self-love and self-respect are imperative for a healthy, balanced and happy relationship.

Happiness Rests Securely In Your Hands

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Your life sucks, you hate your boss, you hate your life and you wish your ex would get hit by a bus. If this is your life, the good news is that you have the power to change it all. If you keep on doing the same thing over and over, your results will be the same.

I understand. I have been there. I couldn't have been more miserable in the past if my head was stuck in a toilet! I blamed everyone in my life for my unhappiness. It wasn't until I recognized that I was the center of my own universe and the cause for all of it, the good, the bad and the ugly, I shifted big time!

I had a client ask me today what I did to change from being miserable and unhappy to blissfully happy with my life, my work, and my world? The following are the steps I took to change my mindset and my life.

1. I stopped blaming everyone. I began to look at the past events (even the abuse and molestation) as a gift and the catalyst for me to grow and evolve. Trauma happens to us all. How we look at the past is what shifts our mindset.

If we continue to blame others for the way we feel, we will feel depressed, angry and resentful. When we take responsibility for our health, happiness and our life everything becomes better. It may seem a tough pill to swallow, but we contracted for these events to occur so that we would be pushed, prodded and forced to evolve. Some people continue to complain about their lives and never move past the pain and suffering. As Einstein says, they are insane. Bliss is just on the other side.

2. I took responsibility for my happiness. I finally recognized that no one can make me happy or unhappy. Instead of being angry with the way others behaved, I looked inside to see what I did that may have caused their behavior. I stopped using alcohol or prescription medicines. I healed all my addictions through self-love.

3. I listened to what I told myself and what I said out loud. If I beat myself up unconsciously, I would catch myself and shift my thoughts to something positive. I became my own cheerleader.

4. I did my best. Instead of doing things half-assed, I did my best. I took my time rather than rushing through projects. I found I made fewer errors and caused fewer problems for myself when I slowed down.

5. I stopped trying to be perfect. There is such a thing as good enough. I strived for my best, rather than perfection.

6. I began to breathe deeply and consciously. One of the things that I noticed is that when I had low self-esteem I was often barely breathing. Breathing deeply affirmed life. I was giving my permission to be bigger and more powerful by breathing deeply.

7. I showed up. To be successful we need to commit to ourselves. When we commit to ourselves, we show up for appointments, we don't cancel at the last minute, which causes us to feel bad.

8. I was true to my word. Being honest all the time wasn't easy at first. I found I told myself and others white lies. Life is so much easier when we stick to the truth when we do there is much less to remember. We know what we told others because we told the truth. When we tell stories and lies we have to keep track of what we told to whom. We cause less worry and anxiety for ourselves when we are completely honest.

9. I stopped being late. When we have been abused or molested we often have unconscious patterns of control. We attempt to control our environment and aren't even aware of it much of the time. Being late is one way that people with PTSD attempt to control the universe. Control comes from fear.

10. I became fearless. I used to be afraid of the dark. I used to be afraid of public speaking, meeting new people or doing something for the first time. As my confidence rose and I became clear energetically, fears dissolved naturally.

11. I stopped accepting disrespect and abuse. When we don't respect ourselves, we don't recognize when we are being disrespected. If we have suffered trauma as a child abuse is part of our programming. As we begin to heal the past we realize that abuse doesn't have to be a part of our reality any longer. The better we feel about ourselves, the stronger we become and the less accepting of poor treatment we are.

12. I began to love being alone with me. When I was codependent, I had to have someone in my life. If I didn't have a man, I was on the hunt for one or felt desperately lonely. I no longer feel alone or lonely no matter where I am or who I am with. I enjoy my company so much that I have a good time no matter what I am doing.

13. I began to live simply without attachment. I have given up all my belongings three times. In letting go of so many of my material possessions I also let go of the past. Furniture no longer reminds me of an ex-husband who is no longer alive or a friend that has passed on. The things I have I love, but they don't define me and I could let them all go in a heart beat.

14. I know myself well and surround myself with loving people who are interested in growing and evolving. I continue to learn and grow daily.

15. I have a daily spiritual practice of meditation, mantras, dancing and nature. My spiritual practice keeps me grounded and fed.

16. I eat slowly and prayerfully. I don't watch scary movies or anything that will upset me while I eat.

17. I practice mindfulness in all I do. Even preparing my taxes, is a mindful event.

18. I love life and live each day as if it is my last. I don't place too much emphasis on wealth or financial gain, and always have enough to pay my bills and eat well. Money isn't what brings us happiness.

19. I celebrate life daily. I do my best to be kind to others and offer those in need help whenever I can.

20. I perform healing work that I love on people to assist them in improving their lives. I know the work I am doing has an impact on the collective consciousness.

21. I am grateful for everything I have including my life. Each day I am grateful for being alive. I don't wish my life was different or that I had anything other than what I have. I love my life.

Loving ourselves is the greatest gift we can give ourselves, our families and the world. If you need assistance in making your life one of joy, contact me right now, why wait another second? I did it for me and I certainly can help you do it too! Everything is sweeter when we love and accept ourselves.

How To Increase Your Self-Love Quotient For Greater Happiness"

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

You've heard it from me, Deepak, Louise Hay, Oprah and countless others. Self-love is the key to a fulfilled and happy life.

It's not better sex, it's not a faster or prettier car, and it certainly isn't a relationship that will bring you lasting happiness if you aren't happy with you. To this end, I will share with you what I did to go from batshit crazy, negative and depressed to completely blissfully happy no matter what!

1. Get To Know Yourself. Most people don't know themselves well. We spend time getting to know a new boyfriend or girlfriend, but don't focus on what makes us tick, what makes us happy and what we want in our lives. When we begin to focus on what we love about ourselves, what we love to do and what we are passionate about, our path becomes much clearer.

2. Live Mindfully. Mindful practice brings you into the present moment. Breathing deeply and focusing on what is happening right now will help you to enjoy what is in front of you. I see mothers on their cell phones with babies ignored in grocery carts or strollers crying. If you are with your child, be present with your child. If you are with your family, be present with them. Put cell phones away and turn off the freaking television.

3. Just Say NO! Don't be afraid to tell someone that you can't pick their kids up, or water their plants for three weeks while they are in Europe visiting The Queen. When we don't have great self-esteem, we tend to say yes far too often accepting shitty projects and jobs that we don't want just so that people will like us. Face it; not everyone is going to love you or what you say. If you don't want to do something say NO! You will have more energy for yourself and the things you love.

4. Do Things You Love Daily. If you love to be outside in nature, take a walk every day. Make it part of your routine, no matter what. Get up an hour earlier to take your walk before your kids wake up. Or combine your walk with your dog duties. We spend entirely too much time doing what we don't love. Instead, make doing what you love a priority. (Of course, after you do your day job and take care of responsibilities).

5. Practice Self Care. We take care of others first when we want to be loved. When you love yourself, enough you recognize that no one else will take care of your needs. If you have children, what will happen to them if you fall apart, get sick, or worse? Your rest, solitude, and downtime is important. Make sure you get to bed before 11:00 PM, eat properly and get exercise. These are all part of self-care. For those of you out there that forget to pee all day, that is not taking care of your needs. Stop and pee! Take care of yourself, lovingly.

6. Focus On Your Needs Rather Than Wants. I remember taking myself shopping when I felt bad, spending too much money and then being in debt because I felt I DESERVED to buy something new for myself. Refer to number 3. Needs first. What you want probably isn't going to matter in five days. In fact, wait five days and see if you still have the burning desire for that thing.

You probably won't even think about it after five days. Ice cream is something you might want, but don't need. A new dress is something you might want, but don't need. A thing won't fill a void within you. Rationalizing that you deserve something that is going to have a huge cost to it and probably a negative effect as well. Meditate instead.
7. Guard Your Personal Space And Time. It is better to have real friends that support you rather than drain you. If you have few good friends, you are far better off than having a crowd of people who take advantage or drain your energy. We have all had people drain us financially and also energetically. Your energy is precious. People who share in your successes and support you when things are going well are true friends. Those who are delighted when you fail are those you want to avoid.

8. Have A Daily Spiritual Practice. Gratitude, Forgiveness, Prayer, and Meditation are all things that I began to practice daily. When I did, I felt supported, loved and unafraid. A Daily Spiritual Practice fills the void inside of you; it connects you with Spirit, The Universe and The Love of The Divine (a higher power). A spiritual connection is imperative for deep inner peace and fulfillment.

9. Live With Purpose and Design. What do you want your legacy to be? How do you want to be remembered? When I began to do service work - even in landscaping, I felt like I was making a difference. You don't have to be a healer to make a difference in

this world. Think about what makes your heart sing, write down a list of those things.

Maybe you only have one or two activities that make you feel fulfilled, how can you make those activities part of your daily life? When you begin to live your life with purpose, you feel you are giving back in some way. Maybe your purpose right now is to raise your children to be healthy, confident and active participating adults. Raising children is a noble purpose. There is no greater gift to the world than to raise purpose-filled, confident adults.

10. Be True To Your Word. Though this item is listed tenth, it should probably be number one on the hit parade. It is one of the most profound things you can do to raise your self-esteem. Saying what you mean and meaning what you say, sounds like such a simple thing. However, when you begin to make commitments and live up to them with consistency, you will find your self-esteem soars.

I had a hard time with commitments. I would make agreements and then go back on them. I couldn't make up my mind. I found myself agreeing to things I didn't feel right for me because I couldn't stand up for myself at the moment. As you become more confident, you will learn how to stand up for your truth and beliefs.

11. Take Responsibility. When you take responsibility for your actions, health and happiness, you will find happiness begins to flow to you. No one can make you happy. No one can be responsible for you or your health but you. Taking responsibility for you is foundational for healthy self-esteem.

12. Stop Telling Your Story and Forgive Everyone. Everyone has a sad story to tell. It could be a nasty ex or abandonment in childhood. Maybe your parents died when you were young. Although your story is a sad tale
until you stop telling it you won't move beyond the past. You will continue to regurgitate the past dragging it right along with you as you attempt to create something new and different. You can't move into something better when you keep focusing on the past.

When my life really changed was when I began to do all of these things simultaneously. Begin with one or two steps. Do these two things with consistency. Happiness comes from taking responsibility for oneself, being true to your word, having a spiritual daily practice taking care of yourself and having healthy boundaries.

Attracting Love

When we are loving with ourselves, we attract others to us that are accepting and loving also. Relationships with others who are filled with self-love are infinitely easier than having a relationship before we fully love ourselves.

To Make Things Easier

Begin with one step. When you have mastered one step, add another. It took me over thirty years to be in a place of happiness and fulfillment daily. I did it one step at a time. You can too.

If You Are The One Yelling...... It Is Your Issue

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Everyone has emotions. How we process our emotions is an indication of our evolution, personal growth and maturity. When we yell, berate or blame anyone for what we are feeling or experiencing, we are not aware that it is our issue we are reacting to. Someone has pushed our buttons and triggered an emotional reaction. It is not the other person's fault. Instead we need to look at our feelings.

What Does It Mean To Blame Another?

VERB
assign responsibility for a fault or wrong:
"the inquiry blamed the engineer for the accident"synonyms: hold responsible · hold accountable · condemn · accuse ·
find/consider guilty · assign fault/liability/guilt to · indict · point the finger at · finger ·incriminate · inculpate · ascribe to · attribute to · impute to · lay at the door of · put down to · pin

Blaming another for our reaction does two things, neither of them are positive. We make ourselves a victim, which means we are not taking responsibility for  our own emotions. When we assign blame to another person we are acting like a child. We are removing any personal responsibility for what we feel. We are refusing to see our part in the situation.

The problem with being a victim is that we need to be rescued. We shift from the position of victim, to rescuer, to perpetrator. In this triangle everyone becomes a victim, everyone becomes a perpetrator and everyone becomes a rescuer at some point. None of these are healthy. We give our power away by being a victim. You are not a victim.

You Might Just Be A Victim If....

  1. You have to prove the other person is wrong.
  2. You point your finger at the other literally or figuratively.
  3. Your emotions are out of control.
  4. You use the words like, "you never, you should or you always."

My personal experience with blame after living as a victim for over forty years makes me sensitive to others victim hood. This is the core of the work I do. When we heal our self-hatred and victim hood, we no longer blame others. We take responsibility for our part in a given situation.

Overcoming Our Past Victim Status

We didn't get here overnight. It takes patience, awareness and consistency to heal our past. Here are a few things you can begin to do on your own to heal the past and shift out of victimhood.

  1. Be present. Breathe deeply. Notice when you are breathing shallowly. Stop and breathe. Breathing deeply and consciously is the fastest way to bring yourself into the present.
  2. Notice your words. Catch yourself when you go into blame. Correct yourself on the spot.
  3. Become aware of the way you feel. Notice when someone triggers you and you become emotionally reactive.
  4. Take responsibility for your own feelings, rather than blame someone for making you feel a certain way. No one can make you feel anything you don't allow.
  5. Forgive your past perpectrators. Sexual abuse, abandonment, betrayal, rape, sexual assault are all serious issues. I am sorry you experienced those situations. I have great compassion for you. I expereienced those things too. Forgiving others is paramount for your own healing. You don't have to agree with or condone what was done to you, but you have to forgive others to heal. Begin your forgiveness practice with you. The Ho'oponopono Prayer is the simplist way to forgive. You can find it below.
  6. Be kind to yourself. Stop beating yourself up. Stop trying to be perfect. You are already perfect the way you are. They way you were created.
  7. Be grateful for what you have. Be grateful for the emotions that are showing you what is true for you. Stay with those  feelings rather than lashing out on someone else. These feelings are okay to have. They are yours. Breathe and allow the feelings to wash through you. Don't run away from them, as they will surface at another time that might not be as safe or convenient.
  8. Love yourself fearlessly. Know you are already enough. You are perfect the way you are. You are not broken.
  9. Trust the process. Trust that what is happening is what needs to happen for your soul's growth. You are where you are because this is perfect for you in this moment. Revel in the moment. Enjoy what you have. Know if you relationship ended, it was because it was meant to. You got what you needed and it is over. Heal the past, make peace with your past partners and let them go. Nothing is permanent.
  10. The only thing we can count on is change. Everything changes. The seasons change. The weather changes, we change. Our children change. They grow up and no longer need us in the same way.
  11. Be at peace with what is. Know it is all okay. You are okay. Breathe. Know that inside you is love. You are loving. You are kind, you are compassionate. Be at peace with who you are.

Ho'oponopono Prayer

This simple prayer has been used by the Kahuna healers of Hawaii for generations. It is a profound healing tool and can heal physical hurts as well as emotional pain and suffering.

Think of yourself first. Sit quietly and repeat the prayer thinking of how you have hurt yourself. Then begin to think of how you have hurt others. Forigive yourself first. When you feel complete with you, begin to forgive anyone that has hurt you from your past.

I am sorry
Please forgive me
I love you
Thank you

I have healed my past. I have come to a place of gratitude for everything I have experienced. My past allows me a deep compassion and understanding for others who are hurting, feel broken, lost or insecure.

Now I guide people to love through self-acceptance and awareness. Sometimes, I trigger people with issues that are unresolved by asking them questions about their lives. It is part of who I am and what I am here to do. I am guided to say certain things to certain people. When they react angrily to an innocent question, they point their finger back at me. They often get angry because I asked an innocent, conversational question, like, "Are you happy?" Or, "Are you happily married?"

Sometimes, I offer help to others and am blamed for the help given when asked. This is actually an interesting issue. If you ask for help, it is given graciously and generously, why then would you become angry when the person you asked, helps you? Blame makes you a victim. You are not a victim.

More now that any time in our history we are being pushed, prodded and shoved by situations, and The Universe to look at our personal issues. We have been upgraded many times over. People have begun to tell me that just talking with me shifts them.

What People Say After Working With Jennifer:

Just one session shifted the way I felt about my sexuality by 50% and we didn't even do anything but talk! ST NY. NY

In just four weeks of working with Jennifer I have shifted so much. I had no idea that I had hate programs with men. This prevented me from finding love. I resolved my issues with my father and now I am irresistible to men! JE Texas

Happiness Jump Start: 22 Ways To Increase Happiness Now

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Happy people live differently than those who are not happy. Being a happy person myself, I can share the things that bring happiness to me on a daily basis. I wasn't always happy. I have found like others who are now happy, that it is a choice, and it comes from inside.

It is easy to blame a job, relationship, another person, parent, place you live or the weather for your unhappiness. If you continue to do so, you will find you miss out on the good things that come your way and the many ways you could be living in happiness right now. When you are happy, you will find that everything in your life becomes easier, relationships improve.

I have created a three-part audio program, Happiness Jump Start, which is available through my website. There are three hours of energy moving, pick-you-up happiness exercises and things to do right now all the way to Quantum Happiness and Living in The Flow. This program is a great value for three hours that you can listen to over and over again. This program will shift you, raise your vibration and help you get started feeling happy. Trapped emotions in your unconscious mind will be released as well. It will teach you the things to do and not to do that rob your happiness.

If you follow even half of these suggestions, you will find yourself happier tomorrow than you are today!

Here are 22 ways to begin being happy now:

  1. Choose happiness. Each day INTEND to be happy at the beginning of your day. We have to change our inner state to be happy. Think, "I choose to be happy!"
  2. Be Grateful. Every day is a gift. Be happy to be alive today. Say a prayer of gratitude for being alive today. Gratitude is a high vibrational expression of love. It raises your vibration. Gratitude will help you begin your day on a high note. Gratitude is the fuel to help you manifest your desires.
  3. Implement positive thoughts. It is possible. I have done it. You can do it too! You have the goods. Your energy field will expand and people will see you as more powerful when you are positive. Griping, complaining about all the negative things you have going on in your life will increase and get bigger. Wherever you focus your thoughts will become a bigger issue. Misery is the gift that keeps on giving. Catch yourself when you are thinking a negative thought. Course-correct in the moment. It will make you conscious of your negative thinking in the moment. Within two weeks, you will begin to course correct as you think your thoughts. In 30 days, you will create the positive habit to think positively.
  4. Smile. You will be amazed at how different you feel when you put a smile on your face. Your physiology will change when you smile. Notice your face as you walk by a window or mirror. Do you look happy? Or does your face reflect misery? Put a smile on your lips, it will help you shift your thoughts as well.
  5. Be Present. When you live in the present, you will find the small things right in front of you. Focusing on what you did or didn't do in the past, keeps you stuck in the past. Living in the past and repeating your old story to friends and yourself drags those events into your future. Let it go. It is time to focus on what is in front of you. You might even find love standing right in front of you when you lift up your eyes to see.
  6. Discipline is the path to happiness. Go to bed before 11:00. Get up at the same time every day. Meditate before you leave the house in the morning. Exercise on a schedule. You will find that when you show up on time, or early you feel better. The Universe loves order. A daily regime makes you feel more productive when you have discipline and a regime. Implemented in your life. Staying up late leads to weight gain. Going to bed before 11:00 will prevent this.
  7. Forgiveness. Forgive everyone. Let go of the past. Resentment and unforgiveness create a burden for you. No matter how hurt you have been, when you don't forgive others, it creates dark energy for you. Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. Do the Ho'oponopono Prayer to forgive, it is for you.
  8. Eat a healthy diet. When you respect yourself, you will eat a healthy diet. A healthy diet will make you feel more positive. You will suffer less from depression and illness. Avoid fast foods, processed sugar, high fructose, chemicals and processed foods.
  9. Go to bed early. Sleep deprivation leads to depression. You will find you have a more positive attitude when you get enough sleep.
  10. Get outside in the sunshine! Everyone needs the sunshine. Those who live in northern climates have more depression due to lack of sunshine. Walking outside at sunrise is healing.
  11. Exercise daily. You don't have to have a gym membership to exercise. Walking is good exercise. Being out in nature makes you feel good and doesn't cost anything. Walk outside daily! Being healthy is a way of life. Daily exercise is a way of life. You will feel more positive when you do.
  12. Give to others. Giving to others makes us feel amazing. Tipping your wait staff, or giving to the homeless will bring you positive feelings and joy. Give someone the clothes you aren't wearing anymore. Give a compliment to someone you exchange with. You will be amazed at how positive you both will feel when your complement is heartfelt. Giving to others gives back to you.
  13. Faith. You don't have to go to church to have faith. Believing in something will help you be happier and doesn't mean you need religion. A deep spiritual connection brings you joy. A connection with the earth and nature will also bring you joy, as it connects you to a higher power.
  14. Have a personal creed. What do you stand for? Do you stand for animal rights? Do you stand for women's rights? Do you protect the rights of children? What do you believe in? Write down what you stand for. Knowing what you stand for can expand the love in your heart.
  15. Get organized. Do you know where your keys are? Can you find what you need when you are getting ready for your day? Organize your closets, drawers and shoes. Order toiletries so you can save time. Getting organized can give you inner peace and harmony. Having order in your home will increase your happiness. Get rid of clothes you don't wear, or broken items.
  16. Personal Freedom. Choose to live your life your way, without having to ask others for approval. You may have to work hard for your freedom. If friends ask you to do things you don't want to do, and you do them anyway, you are not exercising your personal freedom. Let your heart decide. Do friends make your heart soar, or make your energy drop? Are your friends anchors or sails? You have the right to choose who you have around you. Being an entrepreneur leads to personal mastery and freedom.
  17. Meaningful work. Doing what you love can bring you happiness. Personal satisfaction means much more than money. Meaningful work can bring you immense satisfaction.
  18. Experience comedians, funny movies. Watching movies or television shows can relax you and make you feel happier. Moderation is the key.
  19. Family. Our family is important. Healing issues with your family members will allow you to feel peace. There is nothing more disruptive to your energy field than having emotional distance and unhealed relationships with family members.
  20. Community. Being involved in your community can bring you pleasure and happiness. A connection with those you live near can involve volunteering at a shelter, or serving Thanksgiving for homeless. Community events can bring you great joy.
  21. Get a pet. Happy people often have pets. When you live alone, a cat can keep you company, give you someone to love and that will love you back. We all need someone to love while you are waiting for your loved one to show up, get a pet. There are
many adult animals available at local shelters that would love to have you are their loving caretaker. A dog needs more care than a cat, but certainly will love to walk with you out in nature!
  22. Remember to play and have fun. No matter how old we are, we need to play. What brings you joy? What is fun to you? Do something that is fun every day. Play doesn't have to have a cost. You can play cards, take a drive to a beautiful place, or spend time with those who you enjoy. Play will bring you happiness.

Are You Finding The Love That You Want?

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

In this 5:35 minute video you will find out how to attract the love you want. This video was created for Digital Romance TV. I hope you enjoy this video. Share it with your friends.

Finding Love

What do you need to do to attract a REAL lasting love? Get to know you first. What do you like. What do you love to do. We spend so much time getting to know the people we are dating - and don't even know ourselves! We have to know ourselves before we get to know a new partner.

  1. Fall in love...... with you first.
  2. Forgive everyone from past relationships. All ex's old partners. Do the Ho'oponopono Prayer starting with you.
  3. Relationship Matrix. This is what made me realized, way back when that I was not a victim. Write down your significant relationships (names) on the left. Then right the issues in each of the relationships across the top. Look at all of your relationships and see what the commonalities were. This is not about blaming your ex's. You are not a victim, remember. Release each one with love.
You can reach Jennifer for your discovery session (here)  to see if her work is a good fit for your intention to heal your life and relationships. Jennifer is a compassionate, loving catalyst who will get to the root of your issues, call you on your crap and keep you loving and honest with YOU! The number one person in your life from now on!

Much Love,
Jennifer

Loving People Live in A Loving World

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

How we view the world and feel about ourselves is what colors our world. When we are filled with love of ourselves, we reflect this love out into the world. Whatever we think about is what we
become. Our thoughts inside of us, create, whether we focus on positive or negative.

If we are filled with resentment, we will draw to us and experience others who are resentful and negative.

There was a turning point in my life after my third marriage ended,  I created The Relationship Matrix. When I looked at each of my relationships, and all the commonality in them, I had a huge Aha moment. I recognized that I was the common denominator in all of my relationships!

When I chose to be happy in my life, everything changed. It did not happen overnight, but gradually, I changed my thoughts from negative and judgmental to positive and accepting. I became responsible for my thoughts, my health and all that I create. I stopped blaming others. I trained my mind to think positive thoughts. The more loving I became towards myself, the less I tried to control others actions. In the process of loving me, I let go of fear, hatred, manipulation and control. The former neediness and denial I had also diminished. I became more compassionate with myself and certainly with others as well.

When I was needy I attracted men who lied and cheated on me. What I did not realize at that time, was that I was in denial about how I really felt about myself. I was in denial about my self hatred. I was in denial about how little I thought of myself. This denial attracted men who also lied - but to me.

When we begin to be authentic, honest with ourselves and others and stop trying to be what others want us to be, we step into our true selves. Choosing to love ourselves rather than criticize and condemn, we begin to love and accept ourselves. Eventually, we become self actualized.

Knowing the amazing changes that occurred in my life when I really took stock of my life and all that had happened, I realized that I created it all. All my unconscious beliefs about myself created the negativity I was living. I attracted men that were abusive because of long-standing issues of self hatred and low self esteem. They just reflected back to me how I felt about myself. I knew that I could help others change their lives, like I did from that of negativity, depression and being small.

Every moment we have is an opportunity. Each relationship we have teaches us more about ourselves. When we begin to look at the lesson we have learned, we also are able to recognize the gift. Within this world, the energy of The Divine flows through everyone and everything. Life, is meant to be one of joy, happiness and passion. How we choose to live, think and feel is what changes our perspective and the outcome in our own microcosm. We are each unique and infinite beings. Our imagination is our greatest gift. We are all capable of greatness. Learning to ignore the naysayers, and live the life you have imagined, you will meet with your success.

Today, I live in a loving, happy, vibrant, world, from a place of passion. This passion that I have to help men and women learn to communicate from a place of love, with understanding and compassion. This burning desire drives me forward to write, speak, coach and teach others to love themselves fearlessly. When we love and accept ourselves and no longer judge or criticize ourselves and others, we  create happy vibrant lives.

Each one of us has a soul purpose. To live from a fearless place, in love in the moment. Permanent happiness is possible, when you turn your focus inward.

The 3 Keys To Happiness

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

A Sufi mystic who had always remained happy was asked…. For seventy years people had watched him, he had never been found sad. One day they asked him, ‘What is the secret of your happiness?’ He said, ‘There is no secret. Every morning when I wake up, I meditate for five minutes and I say to myself, ‘Listen, now there are two possibilities: you can be miserable, or you can be blissful. Choose.’ And I always choose to be blissful.’ Osho

Jennifer at the Grand Canyon, 2013

For years I looked for happiness in my relationship, work and my family. I kept coming up empty. It was not until I looked within that I found it permanently.

Life is what we make it. Why not make it a happy one. We know that happiness means we will live longer, being angry resentful and perfectionistic shortens our lives. Women are notorious for looking outside - for a man to complete them and make them happy. Many after 5, 10 or 20 years come up empty, blaming their husband for their unhappiness.

I did it! I searched from one man to the next, looking for that unbridled passion for living. No one can give that to you. It is your gift. It is your courage to live fully, your desire to be fulfilled, your passion to experience life to the fullest that brings it to you.

I remember when I was first married to Bill Gates, living in Maryland with our first son, Adam. It was all I had ever dreamed about, yet I was not happy. I had a perfect, healthy son, I was married to a handsome, intelligent man who had a great career and promising future, yet I was not satisfied with my life. I felt empty inside. I felt that something was missing. I thought it was that I missed my family in Canada. Yet, when they came to visit, although it was fun, pleasant and wonderful to have them there, I was still empty inside.

There was a point at which I recognized after 3 marriages failed, that the happiness I was looking for was a choice. I recognized that I was responsible for it. I decided then and there that I would choose to be happy. I would stop looking for it, stop searching outside of me and just be. I became happy with me. It was not instantaneous, but little by little, I learned that I needed to be happy with myself to be happy. I had to learn how to love me, no matter how I felt, how I looked or who I was married to - or not.

I began to fall in love with me. I looked within, asking myself questions. What made me happy. When did I feel the best. When did I feel satisfied. I began to let go of trying to be the perfect little girl my mother wanted. I let go of other's expectations of me. I became my own person. I was no longer a people pleaser, trying to make others happy by lying about who I was. I began to shine my light brightly. Instead of worrying about how small others felt near my light, that was up to them to take care of. Other's feelings were no longer my responsibility.
Jennifer in Georgia

I did what I loved. I became a Master Gardener. I formed my own landscaping company, because I was passionate about gardening and plants. I did it for 11 years until it no longer held that passion any longer. I studied and learned about Metaphysics, hypnotherapy, energy medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine and began to study to be a life coach. I took time to learn and grow. I spent time alone. I began to be a better parent, mother, friend. I lived in the present instead of the past or the future. I loved being me. I recognized I was not perfect, but that was okay. I knew what my faults and flaws were, but did not focus energy on them. Instead I focused on the good, the fun, the bliss. I focused on what made me feel good.

I meditated every day. I began to teach meditation to others. I awakened fully. I experienced life to the fullest. I moved beyond my fears of everything. I became fearless!

I am an adventurer. I love life, I enjoy travel, I love to garden. I was born in Toronto, as a flight attendant for Air Canada I was transferred to Montreal. I moved to Maryland, London, England, Maryland again, Atlanta, Georgia, Boulder, Colorado, and now the desert of California. No moss has grown under my feet. I love adventure. It makes me feel alive. I love to meet new people, and share experiences, teaching what I have learned. Still I have heard from those recently on a fabulous whirlwind book tour, that when they returned home, they were still them, sadly they said.

I find joy in the simplest of things. A hot cup of coffee or tea, brings me pleasure. I get up early so I don't have to rush. I enjoy my solitude. Each morning, I walk my dogs out alone in the desert. This sets the tone for the rest of my day. I find peace inside myself. Walking is a form of meditation for me. I talk to God in the desert. I am alone, without any distractions to take me away from my experience. I leave my cell phone in my car, as it distracts and detracts from my experience. When I am writing I turn the phone on silent. This way, my writing brings me joy, peace and things flow better through me. When I am with a client, I give them my full attention. I am not on FaceBook, or Linked In, or writing my blog. I am fully present with them. My clients feel it.

When you are happy to be alive, loving yourself fully - it does not matter where you are, you are happy. It does not matter who you are with, you are happy. It does not matter what you are doing - it could be the most dull and mindless task, but you are still there, so you are happy!

No one outside of you can bring it or give it to you. It does not grow on trees, or on money, for that can die and be lost. It is not in a car, motorcycle, lover, although all of those new and wonderful things can excite you in various ways, but they don't make you happy.

If you are on an Internet site writing in your profile, "Looking for someone to make me happy," you will be looking a very long time.
