Why We Stay Too Long In Unhealthy Relationships

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

The sex isn't great, your partner is insanely jealous, they might put you down, are constantly broke and you fight all the time. There is often the threat of him or her leaving and you feel like you are walking on eggshells. You aren't even happy. Why do we stay in relationships that are clearly not in our best interest? Why do we continue in a relationship past the first few dates, rather than say, "HELL NO!" and go it alone?

If you have found yourself in a relationship that is less than stellar, you are not alone. Millions of people have stayed in relationships that were just plain bad. I did it. My third marriage was clearly not good for me, yet I stayed. Even after we divorced, I kept trying to reconcile with him, but why?

I know it sounds like a broken record, but it is true:when we don't love ourselves we stay because we would rather have a terrible relationship than NO RELATIONSHIP. We would rather have rotten sex, with someone who never has money, because we don't want to be alone. We stay because we are afraid that we can't get someone else. Or that our chances of finding someone are nil.

I coach clients that have had multiple relationships with less than stellar mates, repeatedly. If you find yourself settling for crumbs over and over and staying with someone who isn't kind, loving, respectful and has money - you don't love and respect yourself. Your boundaries are lacking AND most likely, you are coming from an empty place. Which means you will give and give and give, then resent them for it!

I know this pattern intimately, because it used to be me. I was a serial monogamist, going from one bad relationship to another. I would work all day at my landscaping company doing hard work, drive home, rush around to get myself looking pretty, then make dinner. As if I hadn't already done enough for one day, I would then drive 45 miles to my boyfriend's house and feed him dinner, dragging my school age daughter with me, so that he would have a home-cooked meal. What was I thinking???? This is only one possible scenario.

Perhaps you have allowed your boyfriend to move in with you. He might even have had some furniture to contribute, but probably not. You may loan him money, or bail him out. Are you wondering why you are living like this? Do you think your love will change them?

Men too accept treatment from women that is abusive, disrespectful and downright bad manners. Men will accept a woman using his money, car, home and furniture to have regular sex. You might have allowed your girlfriend to move in, leave her animals with you, or worse. Maybe she has stopped having sex with you, because she is having sex with someone else. The only way you can change this situation is to change yourself.

When we accept behavior that does not support us, from people who do not respect us, we are accepting poor treatment, in the hopes that he or she will eventually change and turn into what we really want. I am sorry - Miss Priss, or Mr. Wrong is not going to change. Your perspective has to.

When we love ourselves completely we won't accept crumbs any longer. We know we deserve better and we will wait for that right person to show up, rather than accepting a poor substitute so that we feel secure.

When you show up full, confident, powerful and empowered, you will not accept disrespect. You won't accept someone mistreating you. This is not the case for me any longer. I will not stay, or even date someone if I sense that they are jealous, abusive or disrespectful to women. I would rather be by myself. I enjoy my own company. I like my solitude. I am happy being alone because I am happy with me. Before I had done years of introspection and self healing, I had to have a man in my life, or I felt restless, afraid to be alone. I also felt empty and lonely. Now I don't experience loneliness.

If you are tired of repeating this pattern and want to make a difference in your family's lives and yours, you need to take my 6 week Love Yourself Fearlessly GROUP coaching program launching on May 31st. For Only $397 you can solve this problem permanently. Follow the protocol, do the homework and apply the tools, you will never again accept crumby relationships! Create a List - of 100 What you Want and Don't Want in Your Mate

Fall in Love with your gifts
Fall in Love with your soul

The Manifesting Your Soul Mate piece is incredible. If you are already in a relationship - that does not mean you are going to look for someone else. No. What this will create for you  is an understanding of what you want and don't want, so you can manifest what you desire. Most people really don't know what they want or have never thought about it. We dig down and really get to know on a soul level what you are passionate about.

This part is amazing. I have had many people find their Soul Mate, or Divine partner while doing my course! Some people fine theirs shortly afterward. Because you focus on what you truly want, with clear intent - you manifest it. I give you all the tools to send out your request with and all the tools!

The key is that you have to love yourself FIRST - before you manifest your Soul Mate. The higher your vibration, the higher the vibration of your partner will be. As within, so without.

You will feel full, happy with you. Most people see huge results by the third week. I have created this Love Yourself Fearlessly Program from the work I did to heal myself. I share the tools that I used, teach you to do them yourself, so you can continue to apply this work AFTER the course is over.

Take advantage of this opportunity. The next time I run this course will be after my book is a BIG HIT and the course will be double what I am charging. This price is an amazing value. You will learn to heal yourself on your own and heal all your relationships at the same time.

The Secret To Happily Ever After

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Lately, I have been pushing very hard to get the final editing done on Orgasm For Life. My body was telling me I needed some self care, so I headed to the gym to swim.  You are probably wondering why I didn't just have sex. Yes, sex is a great stress reliever, with the right person, at the right time. Timing, dear friends is everything!

While swimming, I met a delightful couple and observed their interaction. For my book, I talked with hundreds of happily married people. This couple was older, yet they were in the pool exercising, together. I noticed them close together, rather than in different lanes. They seemed happy, smiling at each other as well as my daughter and I as we jumped into our lanes. When people are happy, you can't disguise it, it is genuine. What they told me might surprise you.

I am all about LOVE! I have talked to hundreds of long-term HAPPILY married people and their recipe for happiness in marriage is simple, yet profound. I asked this couple how long they had been married? They smiled and looked at each other because it was so long that they weren't exactly sure. Thinking for a moment she said, "Well we were married in '54."

Before I had a chance to ask her what her recipe for happiness in marriage was, she told me, "I have a recipe for happiness." I asked her if she would share it with me. This is what she shared:

  1. Don't argue. But if you must, ask yourself the following question, "will this matter in 5 years?" If not, go make love. It is a lot more fun than fighting!
  2. Respect. Respect your husband or wife as much as you would a perfect stranger. She said, "If the president came into your home dripping wet, you would offer him a towel, rather than yell at them to say, Don't drip on the floor, you idiot!" We have a tendency to become disrespectful over time. Don't allow yourself to begin to disrespect your mate because of familiarity. Always respect your mate/spouse and vise versa.
  3. Appreciate your spouse. They do a lot for you and your family. Giving and showing appreciation means you have not taken them for granted. Appreciation shows gratitude and love.
  4. Continue being connected through love-making, touch, kind words, and tone. Do not use words or tone that would insight a riotous response.
  5. Overlook a lot. Don't focus on the bad habits, or things you don't like. Focusing on the things that bother you just makes them bigger. Let the little things go. If it isn't earth-shattering, world-changing or life threatening, it is probably not important enough to argue, get upset about or divorce over. Divorce is considered a four-letter word to people who truly love each other and are committed.
Still in love,

Kindness was a given. This woman was soft spoken and sweet. She had not become old and crusty like some octogenarians. She was positive and upbeat.

We talked about my books and why I wrote them. Even with her age, she was not judgmental about a book about sex. She commented that my book had heart.

When she asked about the subject of Odyssey Victim to Victory, my first book, she understood that I wrote it to help others. She told me that was not her experience. She brought up Joyce Meyers and her past. She said that things are very different today.

When she and her husband married, they did so to create a home for their family. Today, she said, "People have a career first. They get pregnant and maybe get married. Then they send their babies to day care to be raised by someone with no emotional ties to their children at all." "Eventually," she went on to say, "we will get back to what is best for everyone, to focus on what is really important, family." I could not agree more.

As her husband got out of the pool he put his arm around her to remove the floatation device around her waist. He did so sweetly, with love. We stood talking in the pool after her husband went into the hot tub. She was a sweet lady, with a kind soft face. Although she had to be at least 80, she looked young, relaxed and much younger.

She told me that she never had had an unhappy "intercourse" in all her life. It was obvious that they remained sexual after all these years. She said that her husband knew she was "The ONE" as soon as they met. They dated for a year, marrying in July, the same month as they met AND her birthday.

I continued to swim laps and noticed them in the hot tub together later on. She stood behind him, while he leaned against her body. She massaged his shoulders and neck, smiling, while they talked to others sitting in the hot tub. They were lovers after 60 years. Watching them gave me hope, not only for myself but for others.

Loving each other through the tough times, weathering the storms together as a united team, rather than adversaries was how they did it. It was such a pleasure to see this couple still on the same page, loving one another. It was obvious they had weathered the storms of life and made it as ONE.

Transactional Sex

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

How often have you thought as a woman, if he takes me out to dinner to a nice place, maybe I'll have sex with him. Or as a man, have you ever wondered what the baseline is as far as spending money on a woman to get her into bed?

Even in marriage, sex can be transactional. "If you did more around here, I'd have sex with you more often." Or maybe even, "If you'd only pay more attention to me, take me out to dinner, or buy me something, then I'll have more sex with you."

We all know that prostitution is the oldest profession in the world. Sex is powerful. The need for sex is a huge motivator for many. A friend of mine, overheard a conversation at work with some of his co-workers yesterday, which prompted me to write about this very subject. As women, we don't like being thought of as prostitutes. He recounted the conversation as something like the following: "If he doesn't take me to a fine restaurant, then I'm not putting out!" this reduces sex to transactional manipulation. Like it or not, you are little more than a prostitute.

Manipulating with sex makes it transactional. There is nothing wrong with waiting to have sex with a man, when we are dating. As a matter of fact, I recommend it. I have had recreational sex myself, it doesn't fulfill me. I personally feel, that a connection, friendship or deep love between two people first raises the bar in your relationship to a higher level. The focus is on love first, rather than the physical.

We all have physical needs. Jumping into bed with someone on the first date can lead to a short-termed relationship or a one-night stand. We never know which. When we date and take our time to get to know someone, there will come a time when you feel you are both ready to take your relationship further. You mutually decide when the time is right. This is different then transacting for sex. When you set a price point in spending before you will have sex with someone, you are transacting for sex.

Bargaining in a marriage for sex makes sex a tool. Manipulating in any way is a low vibrational energy. There are other ways to get what you want. One of those is through honesty. Telling someone you are not ready to take your relationship further, just yet, is a better way. Asking for your husband to help you out, because you are drowning is a better way. Or maybe, you want your husband to help out, because you feel he is not pulling his weight. Relationships need to be balanced. When one person is doing too much, while the other sits on his fanny could really piss you off.

Being authentic, honest and forthright in communication is the way to go. Appreciating what the other does for you, however is part of this equation. We all need to be appreciated. We all want to be loved, accepted and desired. Appreciation in relationships is needed to show that you are not taking them for granted. Complacency in a relationship, shows a lack of caring, presence and respect.

Noticing your personal motivation and how you get your needs met is important. We can have our needs met without transacting for sex. Communication needs to be crystal clear, compassionate and respectful. If you are transacting for sex, it is time you did a little soul searching to find a better way to get what you want that is more positive, that will build the trust and deepen your emotional connection.

Molecules of Emotion

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Humans are naturally emotional creatures. Our emotions are a gauge to let us know when boundaries are being crossed, (anger) or we are experiencing sadness. They are meant to move rather than become stagnant. When they are stuffed, ignored and not released they create illness like cancer or heart attacks. People can really die of a broken heart when energy of emotional pain is lodged in the heart chakra. What happens when we stuff emotions? How exactly does this happen?

I am not a scientist. However, being a sensitive and intuitive gives me the opportunity to see and feel emotions stuck in a person's body. They manifest as energy blocks. After experiencing a break-up, death or a child moves away for college, we have to let this emotion out, or it will create havoc in our physical body.

After the death of my Twin Flame, John Armbruster, my friend and acupuncturist visited my home. He placed needles in my heart chakra to release the constriction and blocks. He said at the time that the blockage was profound. Left there, I most likely would have had a heart attack.

As anger surfaces, we need to shout, bang a hammer, punch a pillow, or hit some baseballs at a batting cage. All of these ways are healthy releases of this energy. Keeping anger stuffed can cause depression, something I encountered for over 20 years. I was so used to being depressed, I had no idea it was from stuffing my emotions from physical and sexual abuse as a child. Often in our families, we are not allowed to be angry. We are not allowed to be sad. In my household the common refrain was, "Shut-up, or I'll give you something to cry about!"

Women who have been molested can often find that they are not orgasmic, because fear is stuck in the walls of the vagina. I experienced this issue myself. We have to heal these parts of ourselves, or we will not live fully and vibrantly. The emotion becomes imbedded in the molecules of our body. Each molecule holds the emotion.

Every illness we have, has an emotional component. This emotion is like adding fuel to the fire. Emotions that are not deal with, felt and released become issues in our bodies, becoming illness, pain and disease. I had so much anger, resentment, fear and grief stuck in my body that I created Fibromyalgia and Epstein Barr disease. Pain wracked my body, even though I was a young woman. I am now living pain free! I was diagnosed with arthritis over 20 years ago - I have no symptoms of that disease at all now. Loving ourselves, allowing our bodies to release these emotions, feeling them fully is key.  Most people do the exact opposite. "Oh, I am feeling something I don't like, let me bury this so I don't have to look at it, or FEEL!"

We have a release valve, like a volcano. When the pressure becomes too much we explode, seemingly out of nowhere. Some of us reach for a glass of wine, beer, or a piece of chocolate cake to shift our emotional state. Called "emotional eating," this programs our body to look for sweets to make us feel better, when we need to be addressing the real cause the emotion. This process is basically eating our emotions. Eating when we are upset, stuffs the emotion deep into our cells, which eventually (in the near future) creates cancer, heart disease, arthritis, kidney disease and other debilitating issues.

I experienced breast cancer myself last year. I listened to my guidance and was able to release the resentment I felt towards my mother, more was just released this past weekend. We are never done releasing emotions, it is a constant movement, feeling and letting go. Forgiveness is important to release resentment and anger, or we will end up with physical blocks and cancer from this resentment. Traditional Chinese Medicine teaches that all disease comes from blockages in the physical body. These blockages come from stuffed emotions. Holding back tears, anger and not speaking our truth in the moment helps to perpetuate the issue creating our reaction. When we don't deal with something, it does not go away, it will surface when we least expect it, usually at a very in-opportune time.

Tonight's podcast is all about emotions. How to release them. How to feel and allow them to move in a healthy way. We will also be discussing what different emotions cause in what parts of the body. What the illness means and ways to correct the issue. This is a repeat of a subject that I did months ago. There was so much interest that I have revised and added some great material that will be helpful in your life to keep you vibrant, and cancer free!

Author's Note:  It is never too late to begin to see yourself and your emotions through different eyes. It is never too late to heal and become happy with you. It is never too late to open your heart and try to see things differently. If you feel you haven't been able to make these changes on your own, hiring Jennifer will make all the difference. Listen to the replay from tonight's podcast to a real live client of Jennifer's. I asked Nikki to share her coaching experience. She has been attending my webcasts and the odd program here and there for the last 4 years. She finally decided to begin coaching with me - privately. Within 3 weeks....  she noted several changes:

  1. She began to feel better, happier
  2. She began to feel love for herself, prior to this no mantra or class did it for her.
  3. She said no one had ever "gotten her" like Jennifer did.
  4. She said it was one little thing that came through in a channeled message in week 3 - that changed everything for her.
  5. Nikki said, that Jennifer got to the crux of her issues very quickly and understood the root cause of them. This made all the difference. Everything began to click for her.

Aren't you worth it? How much time, energy and money have you spent trying to feel better? Has nothing worked, like Nikki? Then maybe its time to work with someone who is Divinely connected who receives information from the Source - it is not Jennifer's words that heal -

Characteristics of An Abuser

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters and Kim Parke

Abuse is insidious. Most of us are unaware that we may have abused our children, mothers, fathers, friends, lovers or spouses. There are many forms of abuse from verbal, emotional, physical, sexual to neglect. Even rejecting your spouse repeatedly for love, affection and sex is abusive.

We need good boundaries in our lives. We need to understand ourselves better, to see why we would endure such misery. We need to be more loving to those who have been abused, instead of turning our backs on them. They need our help more than anyone. Yet, women, children, elder parents and many others are abused everyday, without anyone stepping in to stop it.

What is it that turns our stomachs and makes us judge? Is it the ugliness that we don't want to see within ourselves? Or is it our self righteousness that makes us feel better than others. In any event, this planet needs more compassion for those who are being and have been abused. It is a subject that is taboo in most circles. Perhaps if we don't talk about it, it will go away?

In my life I was abused early. Because of the programming that changed me, I became a victim. I resonated with those who would abuse me. I attracted it into my life unconsciously. I experienced all forms of abuse in marriage. Once in an abusive relationship, it is extremely difficult to extricate yourself from it. Rising above, is next to impossible. Programs and patterns need to be cleared to be able to move beyond. Our unconscious minds need to be retrained, to feel love, acceptance and forgiveness for ourselves.

Kim Parke is a fellow Master hypnotherapist, NLP practitioner and healer. She and I have been chatting on Linked In about abuse for several months now. She has kindly put together a list to help you see if you or anyone in your life is being abused. Recognizing it, is the first step.

Characteristics of an Abuser
  1. Probably witnessed abuse as a child.
  2.  Possessive and jealous, often imagines you are having affairs. May be jealous of family, friends or even own children.
  3.  temper- either flares up over every little thing or let's anger build up then explodes.
  4. Blames others. Does not accept responsibility for his/her anger or actions.
  5. Tells you it is all your fault. projects own faults onto you ( If you didn't do this I wouldn't...)
  6. May blame alcohol and or drugs for abusive behavior ( well I was drinking...I didn't know what I was doing....what do you expect?
  7. Jekyll and Hyde personalities. Charming to people outside the family and tires to keep the abuse hidden.
  8. Has rigid ideas of the roles of men and women. ( A man is the head of the house, the woman is expected to do what he tells her to do.
  9. May have problems with the law, not always.
  10. May behave in a threatening or intimidating way...weapons etc.
  11. Tries to isolate you, discourages you seeing family and friends...religious cults fall into this area. May discourage you from getting a better education.
  12. Tries to control your behaviours, may try to control your thoughts through brainwashing techniques.
  13. Verbal abuse ( insults, put-downs, name calling)
  14. What ever you do he or she says it is wrong.
  15. Will do what ever it takes to drive you away and whatever it takes to get you back---grad the kids or apologize profusely, send flowers, take you out for dinner, very real tears, promises everything, I'll go to church I'll go to counseling, I'll stop drinking, I'll never hit you again..etc
  16. Promises to change but never does.
  17. When physical abuse occurs it follows a patten.
  18. Minimizes the seriousness of the abuse.
  19. After an explosion, he/she feels better and can't understand why you remain upset.

Raising The Bar In Your Life

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Jennifer with Karma in Santa Barbara, CA

Yesterday, I wrote a post about my mother, as a tribute to her for Mother's Day. I left out the tales of woe, the difficulties and challenges in my life due to what my mother didn't do to protect me. Everyone has issues and challenges in their childhood. As we mature into adults and even in adulthood, we continue to have issues surface that stem from what happened or didn't happen in those formative years. It is what we do with those challenges that counts. How we deal with subsequent events, emotions that surface and situations, change us deeply.

After writing the post, I wanted to call my mother before I left my house. Holding my cell phone in my hand, I brought up my mother's phone number. At the exact time as my index finger touched the screen, my son, Adam's name came up on my phone screen as an incoming call. He was calling me to wish me a happy Mother's Day. His incoming call pre-empted my call, to my mother, but his call vanished. I returned to calling my mother, and left a message when she was not at home.

When I called Adam back, (he is very Metaphysical awake and aware) he commented that that exchange with me was the most violent of phone calls we have ever had. Because of the energy in my finger tip and body after writing the post, it jolted the phone out of Adam's hand. As he dropped the phone it hit his girlfriend, in her kidney as if stabbing her. (Kidneys have to do with being pissed off.)

All this energy in my body, along with Adam's comments about it caused me to reflect on my true feelings of resentment, anger and hostility towards my mother I may have unconsciously been feeling. Each time I spoke to her, she made comments about how I have hurt her with my first book, that it wasn't true and I should never write anything like that again.

I reflected on the resentment I had held for my mother and began to let go of what was coming up for me. I realized I was still holding onto some of the past events in my life. Yes, I had done tons of healing. I had cleared patterns many times. Although, I was not attached to the story and it did not define me any longer, there were still other aspects surfacing. As we heal one aspect, other pieces of the puzzle can surface later on as we shift. Recognizing that we are never done with our inner work is important. Thinking we are finished, complete or above more letting go is ego-driven and simply untrue.

I have met people who have also been enlightened, who have told me that they were done with their work here. My personal feeling and that of many others is, as long as we are in a physical body - there is more work to be done.
My mom and Dad

Standing at the bathroom mirror putting my makeup on for my busy day, I was being guided to forgive my mother some more. I said out loud to my reflection:

I forgive and let go of the fact that my mother did not protect me as I wished she had.

I forgive my mother for being emotionally unavailable to me when I was a child and afterwards - because it was all she knew to do.

I forgive my mother for not knowing how to heal herself.

I forgive my mother for not loving me the way I needed to be loved.

Whatever I felt a charge about, I spoke out loud and forgave myself and my mother. I did the Ho'oponopono Prayer:

I am sorry
Please forgive me
I love you
Thank you

All of this being said, the early part of my morning emotions  continued to bubble up, seemingly out of nowhere. I was teary a large part of the morning. When I finally got a chance to talk with my mother late in the day, our phone call was warm, loving and connected. There was none of the usual criticism from her, for anything I was doing or not doing. When I hung up the phone, I cried like a little girl wanting her mommy. Crying is healing. It allows our body to release emotions. Holding on to emotions, stuffing them causes depression and a build up of anger. Releasing emotions with crying also releases stress held in the body and allows you to feel more open, heart centered and loving.

Heart Centered More Loving

I would be remiss if I did not share the rest of my day with you. There is an underlying message here for us all. There is always more to forgive, there is always another layer in which we can love ourselves more. There is always another way you can soften, become more loving towards yourself and others. When we do this, we raise the bar for our lives. Instead of being just "Good enough, " our lives become more connected, more open, and loving.

More Emotionally Available

I committed to continue to raise the bar in my life. To continue to open, let go of resentment, anger and anything else that was triggered in my body. I committed to have a higher love for myself and others. All this makes us more emotionally available to our pets, children and loved ones.

When I let go of more negative feelings, I am more present for my clients, children and friends. I become a better partner in my relationship. I hear more clearly when people speak to me. I become light filled, more powerful and certainly more of my true self.

Using this method for healing and becoming more heart-centered, look at those who have harmed you in the past. What feelings are you still holding on to? What resentment is still present that you have not noticed or addressed? Who can you forgive a little more to open your heart fully?

My guides were talking to me while I did the release work and told me I needed to write about this for you. They said others needed to hear that I am not perfect, or done with letting go. As long as we are in a physical body, we can grow, heal and love more deeply.

I love you. I appreciate all that you have gone through and are continuing to experience in your life. I send compassion to each and every one of you for your pain, suffering and growth. I thank you for reading my posts. I hope that you will share this blog with those you feel it will help. I am almost at 20,000 hits on my blog. Please share it and help get the message of self love, healing and being all we can be out into the world.

The Love of A Mother

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Where would you be if you had never been born. What if your mother decided to terminate the pregnancy? What if she thought she was not ready to have a family and you were never born? What then?

Each of us has a mother. Whether we have close relationships with them, adversarial, or our mothers are no longer living. Our mother carried us, gave us life and gave birth to us.
She endured pain, suffering and hardship because of us, in some way. Instead of buying a new outfit, car or home, our mother's did without. They cooked, cleaned, did laundry and kept us in line. Each one of us has our mother to thank for bringing us into this world so that we could shine, rise above and go beyond where our parents did. Every one of us learned something from our mothers.
Mom and my sister-in-law Sue visiting on their way back from Hawaii

My mother was born in Ethelbert, Manitoba. Her mother died right after childbirth, before she was four years old. Her father committed suicide six months later. Her siblings wanted to stay together, which made it very difficult for any of them to be adopted. Raised in an orphanage until her grandmother finally decided to bring all five children to her tiny home, knew hardship well.
With little money she played with fish instead of dolls, dressings them up in bits of cloth, pretending they were baby dolls. Her grandmother was a tough old bird, who took no nonsense from her charges. She was unloving, stiff and stoic. You can imagine with these hardships, that there was more to come.
Skipping over the worst, she and her sisters moved to Toronto, where they went to finishing school, learning to cook, sew and take care of a home. They all went to work very early. As a result my mother is an amazing cook, terrific seamstress and keeps her home clean.
She gave up her spending money so that I could take piano lessons. She pushed me to write, seeing talent in me that I never did. Everyone of my siblings today is a great cook, avid gardener and still alive because of the healthy living she taught us.
My father was an avid gardener. He grew all sorts of vegetables in our backyard. We had cherry trees, apple trees and lilac which bloomed in the spring. I remember being in elementary school, coming home for lunch and my mother had a beautiful vase of freshly picked lilacs on the dining room hutch. I still remember the way they smelled. No other lilacs had that fragrance, growing in Canada - they were a heady fragrance, strong, sweet and lovely.

At 92, my mother still lives alone, reads six books a week and plays cards with the ladies in her building. She is healthy, vibrant, strong. Although her driving skills scare me, she still manages to drive herself around. Her eyesight and health are very good. I have her genes, beauty and have learned so much from her.
Our mothers did the best they could for us so that we could rise above, be better, be more intelligent, and go further than they did. They want the best for us. They taught us what relationships are all about. My parents were married for 49 years, just shy of their 50th anniversary. They loved each other. Their relationship was not perfect - who's is? They stuck it out, side by side, helping each of us out when they could
Without our mother's where would we be. If your mother is still living, isn't it time you gave her a call and forgave, loved and respected her for all she did for you?

Without the love of a mother, my mother, Veronica grew up feeling empty, less than, unloved. She still talks about the impact of not having a mother in her life. I can't imagine what that would be like, can you?

Orgasm For Life - The Book

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters
Available on Amazon May 20th

Men and women are different anatomically, psychologically and emotionally. We communicate differently from each other. Women are emotionally driven while men are process driven. Our communication styles differ. Even our biorhythms are different. We are at opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to time of highest arousal. Our libidos, are rarely in synch. Why were we created so differently?

Jennifer Elizabeth Masters
I asked God that very question. The answer I received might surprise you. I wondered if maybe God made a mistake, or perhaps our differences were part of a cruel Universal joke. No. The reason we are so different is for a very good reason. It is part of the Divine Plan. We are meant to get over our differences and come together in love.

Imagine for a moment, a darkened room, a naked woman sprawled across the bed, her arms outstretched, her husband making love to her with wild abandon while little children roam all over the house crying, "Mommy when will you and Daddy be done, so we can have breakfast?....I'm hungry!" Dishes cascading out of the sink, laundry undone and strewn about the house, children crying from neglect and hunger. If men and women were more similar than different, we would spend all our time in the bedroom having sex!

Somebody has to keep their feet on the ground instead of over their spouses' shoulders. One of us had to take care of the household, laundry, cooking and children. If both men and women had the same motivation, desire, libido and were turned on by the same things - visual.....   we would be in a world of hurt!

There was method to this madness. We are supposed to bridge the gap - this great chasm, that exists between men and women to just get along. We are meant to reconcile our differences and learn to work things out.

If men and women were alike, all we would be doing all day would be rolling in the hay. Yes women would have their skirts over their heads and men would be bending over backwards. Well maybe not backwards.

Although challenging, our motivations are vastly different. Men are motivated by sex, women by romance. Men need sex to feel intimate. Women need intimacy to want sex. Men can be ready to go as soon as their partners are naked. Women on the other hand are slower to warm up. We are at cross-purposes from one another all the time. Yet, we still manage to have over populated this planet.

The purpose of Orgasm For Life is to bridge the gap of communication, different libidos and desires. Sex is a beautiful thing when we can be in synch with our partner, communicating our desires with authenticity and openness. That is the biggest problem men and women face today is authentic communication. Without clear communication we misunderstand one another. We can't resolve conflict. We often blame the other.

Understanding is one of the key ingredients in Orgasm For Life. Women need to understand their desires and how to communicate them to our partners. Men need to understand what women need, so that they are fulfilled and satisfied sexually. We all want the same things, we just go about it differently. Men are turned on visually, women are turned on in their minds.

For thousands of years women have lain with men. Yet, women's needs have often been unmet. Women have been in fear of men since time immemorial. Fear has plagued our sexual encounters, workplaces and relationships. Fear has permeated relationships and tainted our bedrooms. Fear is in our DNA. Pornography has helped to perpetuate old myths. Breaking old patterns takes time, patience and compassion. It is time for the tables to be turned. Men need to better understand what a woman needs. Women need to understand and get to know what feels good for them, so they can communicate it to their partners.

80% of women fake orgasm. They are not getting fulfilled. 40% of women are sexually dysfunctional - not from a physical ailment or illness, but from psychological reasons. Orgasm For Life assists women and men to understand each other, wade through conflict with aplomb and grow together through developing trust, authenticity and conscious communication.

Orgasm For Life breaks through the patterns of dysfunction, teaching men and women how to heal from it. Women have been faking it to protect their men's ego and sexual prowess. Women have contributed to and helped to perpetuate this problem. Orgasm For Life breaks the silence. With loving kindness, compassion and clear communication men and women will improve their relationships and deepen intimacy creating more fulfilling sex-lives and deepening their connection.

Orgasm For Life helps both men and women be better lovers, partners, lovers and spouses. Through better understanding, communication and orgasmic bliss both partners will be fulfilled. Sex is the glue that holds a couple together - keeping them open, intimate and connected. Love is the foundation that creates a deep bond. Having regular sex is healthy, increases heart rate and keeps the body young and vibrant.

Orgasm For Life is scheduled to be out at the end of May, 2014. It will be available as an e-book, paperback and audio book on Jennifer Elizabeth Master's website.

Orgasm For Life - With Hollis Chapman -

By Jennifer Elizabeth Masters

Hollis Chapman interviewed me today on BlogTalk Radio about my forthcoming book: Orgasm For Life

The link is below to the interview.

Why did I write it?
What inspired me? God
40 % of women are sexually dysfunctional - and non-orgasmic
The purpose of writing this book was to bring men and women together and bridge the chasm between us.

Our communication isn't there. Women are afraid to speak up about what they need and what they want.

80% of women are faking it
26% are faking it ALL THE TIME
How do we change this? How can we communicate better with one another so that our sex lives can improve.

  1. Connect through eye contact with your partner
  2. Talk to your partner throughout the sex act
  3. Continue to talk to your partner so that they stay with you - instead of disconnecting and dissocociateing from their experience.
  4. Keep your mouth opened and relaxed. Relax your jaw.
  5. An orgasm is about letting go. Surrender to the experience
  6. Breathe - with an open mouth so that other parts of the body can open that need to and relax.
  7. Communicate with your partner about what feels good.
  8. Let your partner know what feels good.
